Just ate there again for like the sixth time and I gotta say the orange chicken is the best. It’s unbelievably good . 5 Stars – Christmas Chaos? Handled Like a Holiday Pro 🎄🥡✨ Had Christmas dinner here and the place was packed, I got the last table available. They handled it like holiday veterans, no panic, no delay. I got my food faster than I could say hot tea please. I ordered the orange chicken plate, a cup of hot tea, and—cream cheese wontons that were so crunchy and delicious. The orange chicken was fresh and crispy, sweet, and hot. The tea warmed my soul like a hug in a cup. And those wontons melted like a Christmas miracle in my mouth. The prices? More generous than your grandma on scratcher winnings. And the freshness? Like it was cooked by elves using locally sourced joy. I just ate here a second time orange chicken again my favorite and I was feeling really particular that day. I just didn’t really have much of an appetite for anything and I was really picky so I said please give me a freshest chicken and it was so fresh and it was so good so thank you so much yan flower . Moral of the story: If you’re wondering where to eat on a busy day. Delicious food! Highly recommend, out of all the Chinese food in Santa cruz this spot is a must stop! The pineapple chicken fried rice is very flavorful. The orange chicken is some of the best I've had, good breast meat with a nice crisp to it! The portions were decent with exceptional and quick service. Friendly employees, nice atmosphere, great prices, and plenty of parking. Will definitely be back!

Food was delicious!!! Service was friendly, prices were decent, portions exceeded expectations. I ordered A-1 combo which was sweet and sour pork with pork rice egg roll and noodles. My boyfriend order wonton soup which was huge also excellent! Will come back next time we vacation.

We got hired by the owner to do a clean out of some concrete and And throughout the cleanup, we kept smelling the food so I told my employee that we were going to try the food after we were done hauling no way the concrete so after we were done with the job, I walked to in front of the restaurant ordered chow mein, broccoli, beef, and steamed rice and let me tell you this was the best food I have ever had. I give this place five stars if I can give it six I would highly recommend this business. Excellent staff Great food, fast service

Yan Flower is truly an exceptional dining experience. The food was, without question, the best Chinese cuisine I have ever had—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Beyond the outstanding dishes, the service made the visit even more memorable. The ladies working there were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, creating a warm and genuine atmosphere. The restaurant itself was comfortable and peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. I cannot recommend Yan Flower highly enough and will absolutely be returning.

The food was very good, nothing too fancy but reliable and incredibly affordable in comparison. Very friendly and attentive service. Comfortable place to eat, very cozy and local. Be wary of the bathroom.

If you are looking for super authentic Chinese food.... I mean super authentic "americanized" Chinese food, this is your spot! 💥 Felt like I went back in time, 30, 50, 75 years. I think Ralphie and his family ate here for Thanksgiving dinner in the 50's. 😂 If this sounds like your thing I suggest a combo plate. They really put the fry on their fried food but whoever cooked our veggies, broccoli, baby bok choy and cabbage, did a perfect job. Fresh and crispy, not over cooked. Everything very saucy and sweet. Not much garlic or spice. Soy sauce is about as exotic as it gets. Super friendly ladies working here. BIG portions!

So go there and get some soup while you still can. This whole area south of Laurel will be redeveloped soon. Skip the fried rice tho.

The food is well priced and offers a variety of options. The service is fast, and the parking lot is easy to find parking in. It's located in a fairly good location, a little distance away from downtown, and a few minutes away from the beach. In particular I like their combo dishes as it offers a good variety of options and large portions.

Vary hard to understand the ladies. And if you come after 4 they want youto only order off combo meal not anything a la cart.you walk in the lady yells from kitchen . how many people? And expect's you to yell back. Thats crazy. They serve you 1 plate at a time so the first person's food is col by the time our whole table of 5 was served.
