Wow! The food was fantastic. We had the bison steak and the chicken. Just perfect... everything was cooked precisely and tasted delicious. The vegetables were exceptionally well cooked and the meat was very good. Drinks were refreshing. The chairs are surprisingly comfortable and relaxing to sit in. The only downside was that the service was a little slow, but the wait staff checked in regularly and asked about food allergies before we ordered.

Really beautiful food, attentive service, great drinks (the vodka martini was excellent), and an atmosphere that was conducive to being able to have conversations easily.

Started our day with a big yummy breakfast. Service was amazing and we tried the Santa Fe style eggs Benedict, avocado brioche and buttermilk pancakes with sausage. I want to order this every day it was so good.

delicious food! excellent wait staff (and the owner even made his rounds to make us feel special). the atmosphere was by far my favorite part tho!

The chef is from Sassella and he is quite good, a blend of Santa Fe and Italian flavors.

Food: Excellent. French toast was perfect. Highly recommended. The Breakfast quesadillas were excellent. Drink: Coffee was excellent. Service: Attentive but not overbearing. Would I go back? Of course.

So much fun with the ladies, and chef Cristian!

Following the Margarita Trail and landed at the Anasazia Restaurant Bar and Grill. Great service, great food. Margarita is lacking in delivery. The Sandia & Papino margarita clashes in taste. This combination is a bit too much to pallet for my taste. On to better Trails.

The food and service here were amazing! The bread platter was delicious and so was the fish! I highly recommend!

I went Christmas Day afternoon for a drink. I had the pleasure of sitting at the community table. I met some fun, fine people and had a lovely time. My only recommendation is that you need to serve Brandy Alexanders!!

Short ribs with veggies! Its a cute hotel downtown Santa Fe and an elegant restaurant Don't miss the Sandia Margarita

Stylish and a tad southwest mod given the setting of old Santa Fe, but the food is very good and the service is excellent. The patio in front is the place to be seen on a nice day.

The hospitality and friendly staff combined with the central location and comfortable decor made this our favorite place to stay in Santa Fe. Now that we live here, we still enjoy visiting the restaurant and bar as an excellent place to meet friends or stop in for a drink.

It's an excellent restaurant. We live in Santa Fe. We have been to all the "names" and we consistently return to the Anasazi Restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Always fresh, always good service.

Really enjoyable. Service was attentive and not overly so. Cobb salad was terrific (I asked to have the salad tossed in the kitchen). My son had the salmon. Both were excellent. Don't pass up the cheesecake (go ahead and add a scoop of their homemade vanilla ice cream-- you won't be disappointed

The Anasazi is a fantastic establishment and it was a highlight of my visit to Santa Fe. Every plate was incredible and the wine selection was on point. Our host Robert was a gem and made us feel very welcomed. Shout out Robert!! We will be back and I'll be recommending the Anasazi to my friends.

Anasazi Restaurant in Santa Fe delivered an unforgettable dining experience. The ambiance was warm and elegant, blending Southwestern charm with upscale sophistication. The meal was exceptional—every dish beautifully presented and full of flavor. What truly set the evening apart was our server, Robert. His professionalism, attentiveness, and thoughtful recommendations made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. From start to finish, everything was seamless and memorable. Anasazi is a true gem, and Robert’s service elevated it even further. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a refined, flavorful, and gracious experience. Five stars, without hesitation.

An upscale, rustic decor with a relaxed, unfussy vibe, Anasazi has a new executive chef, Christian Pontiggia, at the helm. The three of us shared an inventive Pear Carpaccio-Asian pears, pistachios, cheese, balsamic reduction and mysterious “beads of deliciousness,” which turned out to be encapsulated mango. The delightful Chef appeared at our table when we inquired about the beads and gave us each a condiment cup full of them to take home. They are addicting; such a great little flavor bomb. My friend ate three for dessert. They reminded me of the sensory sensations I experienced when I lunched at L’ Ambroisie in the Place Des Vosges in Paris. We also shared two entrees: lamb loin and branzino. The best lamb that I have eaten in decades. Cooked to a real medium rare with a superb risotto, asparagus, and rich glaze, it is a substantial dish for one. The branzino was light, but meaty, with an unexpected, but welcome crisp to it, which was repeated in the accompanying crispy shallots, a top a flavorful, but delicate sauce.

The atmosphere is magical. A romantic spot that allows for quiet conversation. My husband and I were so impressed with our meals He had the bison tenderloin and I had the Turmeric cream linguine. We both had the winter salad which was excellent. We don't often write reviews but we and enjoyed our meals immensely. Thank you, Thank you we will be back.

We did the bespoke private dinner with wine pairings and it was great. We ate in what they called the living room and had private service and a roaring fire to eat by. The restaurant manager checked on us multiple times and the server was attentive. The food was very good, not excellent. The menu was customized for allergies and preferences which was great. The food was local flavors and just what we wanted. Wine pairings went really well with each course. The price was reasonable for the dinner and I definitely recommend it!

We booked a tequila tasting. Alfredo, the manager, told us the person who conducts tastings was out sick. He was very apologetic and said they weren't able to notify us prior to our tasting but if we didn't mind not having an informative tasting, he'd get us a couple of tequilas. We were treated to a delightful 3 course tequila and food pairing. Thank you to Alfredo, Mike (bartender) and hostess (I think her name is Elena) for an enjoyable experience. Patrick (director of restaurant operations) came to check on us, as well. Fantastic customer service!

Beautiful and relaxing restaurant for a delicious evening. The service was excellent and our waiter Marbin made excellent suggestions. We started with the scallops which were cooked to perfection. The margaritas were refreshing and perfectly balanced. The bison and lamb were savory and beautifully cooked. We finished with a delightful bread pudding. We'll definitely be back for another wonderful evening.

We visited during our “wander nm sip and savor” food tour with Lauren - she introduced us to the new chef and he delighted us with tuna poke and a margarita - both were amazing. Went back for breakfast and that was wonderful too-their signature chai was delicious.

Great food and atmosphere. Nicely appointed furnishings. Extraordinary wine list.

A higher end bar and lounge experience in Santa Fe. Unlike a few other places that are up and down for top prices, Anasazi has consistently fulfilled on that promise and level of expectation. The drinks are top notch here and the food is decent enough although a little pricey. My favorite bartender here, Katie, left this spring but the others have done well with drinks here too.

Excellent dinner. Have loved this chef’s food for many years and glad he found a new home. Food superb. Especially the smoked salmon arancini. I was very sad he didn’t bring his team with him. Only one waiter for a Saturday night so restaurant not filled (should have been). The gracious sommelier was helping to take orders and serve. He’s too good of a chef to not have an incredible support staff. Our waiter did a fine job but nothing like his team when he was at Sassella.

I had some great food. The "Not Caesar Salad" was a beautiful presentation with excellent white anchovies. I also had the fettuccine with lobster. I was worried that the marinara sauce would be overpowering but it was nicely creamy.

We ordered the gilled octopus as a starter and it was delicious. My entree of sea bass was a bit dry, but had great flavors. My husband ordered the bison and it was absolutely fantastic. We both enjoyed the margaritas and the service was friendly. We would definitely dine here again.

I thought the food and the atmosphere were generally okay, and the selection of wines was not only good but reasonably-priced, about 2.5 times retail. A black cod entree was fine, though a .jamon Serrano starter was disappointing. I am a professional hotelier and restaurateurs, owner of a 5-star resort in Asia, Plantation Bay, “a Real Resort with a Real Spa.” We also serve Jamon Serrano and in addition Jamon Bellota (the very high-end version of Serrano, to simplify the explanation). Serrano is a dry, hard ham. What Anasazi served (which if genuinely from Spain must have been alternatively processed to please the USDA) was soft and gummy, somewhat like the texture of Italian Parma ham. It wasn’t bad, but the chef (who the server said was Italian) either didn’t know the difference, or hoped the diners wouldn’t.

For the money, definitely not worth it. The service was good, they were very attentive. It took a while to get our initial drink order but fine afterwards. It is a cute place, I’d say “Southwest fancy” but the music is TERRIBLE!!! There was a sax player at the entrance and we were across the restaurant and could barely hear. It was basically a guy playing a riff of scales over and over with a simple song smattered in. It was so distracting and unnecessary, especially since they still had background music on. Please do not have live “music” in a venue like that when there isn’t space for it with such a loud instrument. It was very pretty otherwise, a nice mix of southwestern minimal but gawd awful music ruined it all. We asked for chips and guac which was technically a bar item but they were kind enough to bring some. The guac and salsa was so good!! The octopus starter was fresh even for a landlocked state and flavorful. It was perfectly charred, highly recommend if you like octopus. The risotto was wonderful. It’s not only a good vegetarian option, it’s a good option for us carnivores too! The dish is deceivingly small, the portion is plentiful and filling. It has a nice consistency and well spiced. The corn is a nice addition giving it a good southwestern spin on risotto. Highly recommend Salmon-no. It was dry, overcooked, and oddly seasoned. The seasonings were “big” so it overpowered the salmon. But, it doesn’t really matter because it wasn’t cooked well at all. I suppose that’s what I get for ordering salmon in NM. The skin char was good but cancelled out by a very overcooked fish. I think if it weren’t so overcooked it would’ve been better. Drinks-meh. Portions were not even remotely enough for the price. The coffee cocktail (I forgot the name) would be much better if it was served up, not on the rocks. The watermelon marg was nice, not sweet at all, had a Tajin rim which paired well with the marg itself but would be much better with a cucumber garnish to bring out the cucumber flavoring. Mine had a massive mint sprig (like a ton!) in mine but my cousin’s didn’t. I don’t know if I had a mint garnish and shouldn’t or hers should’ve and didn’t, but there should not be a mint garnish on a marg. It detracted from the flavor and the pour was very small. None of them were worth upwards of $18 or more. We stumbled into this place because we didn’t want to wait two hours somewhere else, we should’ve waited and spent under $200 for great food and it $300 for meh.

I, and four friends joined me for lunch at The Anasazi Restaurant. We all ordered the Fish Tacos. As another Local Guide mentioned (but alas I only just saw her review), these were the blandest fish tacos any of us had ever eaten. The sauces added nothing. One was red, one was green. Neither had any particular zing. We were all very disappointed. How can you screw up fish tacos? At least the ingredients were fresh. The service was good and attentive. The atmosphere was pleasant. We could actually hear each other converse.

We had a nice meal. Not an exceptional one, but solid. The heirloom tomato salad was great. Our mains were mostly good, but not exceptional. My daughter loved her lamb dish.

M

Ate here for breakfast because it came with my hotel reservation. Was the blandest food we had while in Santa Fe. Go somewhere else. You’re on vacation. You should enjoy your meals.

I suggested this bar to my visitors, as we have had a few great nights there. They reported bad service and weak drinks. Sitting on the patio, they waited 20 minutes for drinks that never came. Reordered at the bar, but they were so weak it was hardly worth it. I made 3 calls to the restaurant the next day just to let them know there was a problem that night, but no one was available, and though I was told the manager would call, no one bothered to. Luckily, we sent these visitors to Geronimo for dinner and they loved it. I'm sorry to have to scratch Anasazi off our list, but we have plenty of consistent places from which to choose.

We always like having a cocktail at the bar when we visit Santa Fe. Thr experience this time was only fair. The bartender had no personality and when I asked for a New York Sour he didn't know how to make it. He said he could try if I told him what was in it. I expected more. We had two drinks and wandered over to the restaurant. The food was amazing, but the service was subpar. I had to ask for a black tea refill and got something that was not tea, maybe an Arnold Palmer. The waiter never checked back to see how our dinner was and he just seemed like he would rather be anywhere else. Sad, when you pay a lot for the food and drinks and the experince was below average.

P
Patty Falkenstein

The Jamon was lovely, my cocktail was poorly crafted. The lamb loin was ordered med rare but came raw and medium well in pieces...not very fresh and little flavor. Service was indifferent except for the host who was pleasant. A very expensive meal that was not up to par.

The worst food experience in Santa Fe thus far. For a Rosewood property, quite a dismal experience. Honestly, it was embarrassing how horribly prepared (overcooked soggy rice, murdered chicken) and bland the food was. The margarita was OK, the enchiladas and fajitas were reminiscent of Sysco crap peddled by cheap Mexican restaurants. What a disgrace to the Rosewood brand - do better!

I would have given more stars if I were reviewing the food alone, but it was a bit snooty for my taste. I set out for a causal dinner and a different restaurant but because of their wait time, I ended up at this place, was less than welcoming. I waited at least 15 minutes to be acknowledged by a server at my table. I was not dressed fancy enough and the staff made me feel as much. My jeans and half zip sweater were clearly a giveaway I didn't set out for this place. Despite the hostess assuring me there was no dress code. I was left waiting for at least 15 minutes for someone to greet me. My server tried to upsell the hell out of me but I only wanted a light meal. The waitstaff were not friendly AT ALL. The NICEST person there was the hostess. I've never felt so unwelcome when I'm spending money at someone's business. When I tried telling the hostess about it she said, I can go get the manager. I wasn't really interested in complaining that hard core. At that moment, the manager was walking by and she signaled to him to talk to me and he looked at me, turned his head and kept walking. I swear, l could not believe the overall attitude of this place. So needless to say, my complain on site went unaddressed so here we are on Google instead. I'd be hard pressed to ever visit again. My appetizer was good and my server said he made the old fashioned which was also good. I'd only return for the food and drinks NOT the service or atmosphere.

First time to the Anasazi Restaurant and it was not a good experience. Firstly, we chose the patio and after 15+ minutes of nobody coming out for our order, my daughter went inside to ask. Then the server came out with an attitude. My meal was prepared very well and was delicious; however, my husband and daughter ordered green chile cheeseburgers, medium and one came out rare and the other medium rare. Our glasses were never refilled. We saw the server once when he took our order, and then the unfriendly person who brought our meal; that was the extent of service that we received. Very disappointed that a $25 burger was not prepared as ordered and the service was worse than sub-par for any restaurant but absolutely inexcusable for this level of restaurant. I left a 10% tip which was beyond generous and I regret leaving even that much.

We have made reservations ahead of time to come dine at Anasazi while we are on a skiing trip with the family. When we got there the hostess wasn't very friendly and told us it will be a 15 minutes wait, even though we were right on time. The service was very slow, and it seemed like there was only one person serving in the whole restaurant. The food... well it wasn't great. It was regular, nothing special. The only good thing about this place is the vibe and the good and well dressed customers. So if you want to overpay for whatever food, but enjoy the vibe this is your place.

Not much to say positive, but read this before you spend an evening expecting a gourmet meal for the price you'll pay. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was nice. Food was bland and honestly comparable to Chili's or Applebee's. I ordered a 60.00 ribeye that literally was so chewy that I wondered if they cooked me a slab of beef jerky. Not to mention under seasoned and hardly any flavor. My wife had the fettuccine and it was nothing to brag about. Two people and our bill was about 150.00 with a tip. That's only one basic drink each, one entree per person, and an appetizer we shared (a cheaper one). Save your money and go somewhere else. Or just go to Chili's and get their steak, it would definitely be better.

We and another couple had dinner here last night. The wine sommelier was awesome but our waiter Joaquin truly acted as if he didn’t want to be there at all. His attitude was absolutely terrible he could have cared less about our dinner and dining experience it was so bad it was almost comical. The steak was fine and the sea bass was decent. The tres leches desert was terrible and straight out of a grocery store freezer. Better options in town so I would probably pass on this place as it isn’t bad but it isnt a great value for the dollar spent. Atmosphere is nice and food is decent but the service needs improvement.

This was the most expensive lousy lunch I've ever had! The raw oysters came with a fish smell and flies. The fish taco was hard fried and bland with some pickled slaw on top. The tequila was great. I would definitely not eat here!

Hubs planned what we thought was a nice romantic NYE dinner. At $155 a person, with a fixed menu, we thought we made out. First we arrived and the host had to triple check we had reservations, he handed us the menus and without no drink menu. Took another 15 minutes for our waitress to appear and did not make us feel welcomed. No hi my name is so & so, I will be taking care of you this evening. Joaquin made his guests feel welcomed but not our waitress. Christina who is providing rhe complimentary champagne was awesome but didnt engaged in small talk as she did with the other tables. Tatiana was the only one who was attentive and seemed to care about our table. I had to flag our waitress since she did not ask if we would like a drink other than water. She brought one drink menu in which we took turns making our selection. Each time our dishes were placed for the wrong person, so I had to exchange the dishes each time with hubby. When our drinks arrived, the runner was trying to deliver it to 2 tables down. What was interesting is they called my husband a few days ago to confirm our reservation and asked for his credit card to reserve it. They offered two times 5:30 or 8:30. If we failed to show up, we would be charged. A couple shows up at 6:51 and they roll out the red carpet with no issue. Service was bad and to think, there was all hands on deck to make this night memorable. I do not feel they appreciated our business knowing we could of gone somewhere else. To think I am latina, and all the employees who were working the floor minus Christina are of latin decent. Choose another place to spend your money

Showed up at 3pm on a Wednesday. Stood soundly ignored at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes before walking out. Never so much as a "hello" from anyone. Nothing pisses me off more. Will not be back.

This was absolutely the worst experience ever! The manager of the restaurant publicly reprimanded an employee in front of all the customers. The young lady remained composed and professional despite the situation. I was appalled by the manager's uncalled-for reaction, especially while everyone was trying to enjoy their lunch. I left feeling utterly disgusted by the whole situation. It is clear that this manager does not value his employees and shows no respect at all.

I really wanted fine food so I headed to this restaurant dreaming of a light lunch that would entice my taste buds. It had to be great I thought. Horribly disappointed! Ordered the fish tacos... any food truck would have been ten times better! The fish pieces were barely an inch in size including the batter. Barely there. A little bit of white cabbage some strings of carrots and a couple of strips of jalapeño. Two okay sauces on the side... that's it. They don't provide chips or salsa, you have to order and pay for those. The waiter was in his own world!!! He never asked me if I wanted to have a drink. They lost the sale right there. He never checked with me to see if I was liking my food. And the valet service, receptionists and waiters they were all making jokes and laughing loudly which ruined the atmosphere. Save yourself the overpriced experience that will disappoint for sure! There are so many great restaurants in Santa Fe! Give your business to one that really cares about you!

K
Kevin Martin

For the money this place charges for their food you would expect better service. Staff are not friendly and act like serving you or refilling beverage glass is an inconveniance talking them away from stacking menus and setting tables. By far the worst dining experience in Santa fe. We have eaten here twice the second time hoping that the first experience was a one off. NOPE just as bad. We will never eat here again. Keep your high prices and bad service!

J
Jorge Ascencio

I was very disappointed when I heard the manager telling the staff they are not allowed to speak Spanish in this restaurant . Then why do they have Spanish speaking staff this is so racist
