We visited Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen for vegan options and overall had a good experience. We tried the Garlic + Herb Stuffed Mushrooms (VG) with cashew cream dipping sauce and the Chile Relleno (VG) stuffed with quinoa, mushrooms, and zucchini, served with roasted tomato sauce and creamy cashew “cheese.” Both dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, and we appreciated the clearly labeled vegan options. We also tried the chocolate cake, which was okay but not our favorite compared to the savory dishes. Overall, a solid spot in Santa Fe for plant-based food, especially if you’re looking for vegan-friendly meals.

Absolutely get the Japchae. The shrimp and grits were definitely elevated. Although the shrimp was pretty mid itself. Understandable in the desert. The Buddha bowl is something I would get somebody if I didn't know what they wanted. Crunchy garnishes or perhaps a pickled onion and pistachios. Great selection of Rishi Tea and excellent coffee.

Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen is a warm, inviting spot with a focus on fresh, wholesome food. The atmosphere is calm and earthy, with natural light, local art, and a peaceful vibe that makes it perfect for a relaxed meal or quiet conversation. The menu offers a variety of healthy, globally inspired dishes, including plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. I was impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the care put into each dish. Everything tasted vibrant and balanced. And the bread basket was divine. The service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed. Whether you are health-conscious, have dietary needs, or simply enjoy thoughtfully prepared food in a beautiful setting, Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen is a must-visit in Santa Fe. I would definitely return.

I love a nice weekend/ evening meal at Sweetwater. I love their gluten free and vegan options! Their specials are always yummy too. This time we got a vegan chile renello & a meatloaf that was in the specials. They have this spectacular sugar free gluten free chocolate cake with berries that is literally PERFECT. Don't miss the chocolate cake!!

Never have I had to NOT worry over if something had gluten! Amazing food and with health spines to boot! I'm in love with the architecture of the restaurant as well~ their sugar free chocolate cake was rich, their double shot latte with whole organic milk was smooth, and their serving size generous! I'm in love ❤️ (I do wish they had more servers though. I think only two servers were present for the entire floor and trying their best.) Update 3/19/2025 Takeout: Unfortunately they changed their chocolate cake. It is no longer dense and rich but instead fluffy with a middle layer of fruit and a mouse like frosting that has a granular bite to it. Feels very... "Diet-y." Latte was served cat tongue hot. Looking at the menu... I think they charged me for the sugar free and gave me chocolate mouse? It's around $1.50 difference in price... (See last photo and compare to photo from a few months ago on the table.) I verified twice which cake I wanted as the waitress asked me twice.

I come here every single time I’m in Santa Fe and it never disappoints! Everything on the menu is amazing (and gluten free!), I really recommend the chicken pesto sandwich, the homemade focaccia is always perfect. I always get it with a side of turkey tortilla soup, which is super creamy with a little bit of spice. My boyfriend got the pumpkin pancakes with an egg and pork sausage patties. The pumpkin pancakes are super flavorful and they’re his favorite things on the menu. I have celiac, so I’m used to the taste of gluten free food, but every person I bring here, doesn’t even notice the difference. I got their sugar free chocolate cake this time and it was good, but I recommend the carrot cake instead! The service is always great here and everything comes out pretty fast, I love the restaurant environment and set up they have going on too. It’s really cute!

We really enjoyed the food here. Best of all, it’s good for you and made with organic and farm to table ingredients. I got the Paleo Burrito ($14) with sausage and my wife got the Buddha Bowl with Salmon ($14). Both meals were really good. With the burrito, it’s made with an egg tortilla. It was great without all the carbs. Everything had good flavor and you can’t go wrong with Christmas sauce (red and green sauce which you pretty much get on every meal in Santa Fe. Haha) Would have liked a little more sausage in it but that’s because it was so good. The Buddha Bowl had good flavor as well and was very filling. We got here right when it opened so parking was no trouble. This place sits a little off the beaten path but it’s definitely worth the visit. Give it a try. I think it has something for everyone.

Loved eating at this place! Delicious, tons of options for food for gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and paleo. Good selection of hot teas, add-ons, and desserts as well. Highly recommend the chocolate avocado mousse for chocolate lovers, so decadent! Great value for how filling the food was.

A Culinary Sanctuary in Santa Fe Simplistic in appearance yet profoundly eclectic in spirit, Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen is less a restaurant and more a temple of nourishment for both the body and the soul. From the moment I crossed its unpretentious threshold, I felt something uncommon stirring: intention. Harmony. Care. The menu reads like a love letter to clean, conscious living thoughtfully curated, yet brimming with culinary imagination. Tonight’s offering was nothing short of revelatory: the Japchae Korean Glass Noodle Stir Fry (made spicy, as all sacred things should be), accompanied by a chilled can of rosemary-infused sparkling water and a steaming cup of Golden Stamina Mushroom Mama Tea, kissed with turmeric and wisdom. Each bite was a symphony, earthy, umami-laced, delicately bold, nourishing my cells while awakening something older, deeper, within me. The plating was elegant in its restraint, allowing the colors and textures to speak for themselves. And the tea? It was both a surprise and a homecoming, comforting, energizing, and mysteriously restorative. Perfection in ceramic form. As I sit here, preparing for tomorrow’s summit of Wheeler Peak, I can say without a hint of exaggeration that this meal was more than fuel, it was an anointing. If I were a local, I’d make it a sacred ritual to dine here daily, working my way slowly, reverently, through every dish on offer. Here, the food remembers what the body forgot

Looking for a healthy dinner spot during my overnight stay in Santa Fe and saw Sweetwater. Tried the pumpkin quinoa veggie burger with side salad. Very yummy!! Also tried their rosemary foccacia bread, ok, but way to soft/fluffy for a foccacia...no rustic/artisian texture. Prefer my own homemade rosemary foccacia. Service was a bit slow and the room was cold as if AC was running. Otherwise, for healthy options I definitely recommend

This was the first time myself and my fiancé dined here, and needless to say we will be coming back!! This was the first restaurant outside of ABQ that was easy to navigate around my fiancé’s dairy allergy. We ordered the Paleo Pumpkin Pancakes to share, a Paleo Burrito for Meagan , and Huevos Rancheros for me. Everything we had was awesome. I loved my huevos rancheros plate, and Meagan’s Paleo burrito was filling without any dairy! Not to mention the Pumpkin Panackes were BOMB 💣. They were such a good treat to split between the two of us. I would give this place a solid 9/10. The food was amazing, the setting is beautiful inside, and the service was fast and courteous. This is an awesome place for anyone that has a gluten/dairy allergy as the menu caters to that quite a bit. We will definitely be going back!

I love this place for the vegan options! So far I’ve tried the Buddha bowl and tofu Reuben. I think the tofu Reuben is amazing! For the Buddha bowl, I think it’s wonderful, but can be a bit dry at times. I also wish it came with a bit more tofu. What really stands out to me is the chocolate mousse. It’s made from avocado and sooo creamy + rich. I love! I’ve dined in her a few times and generally the servers are nice, but it can be slow.

We will visit again! First, we really loved the atmosphere and bright lighting in the restaurant. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Shrimp and grits and bison cheese burger, carrot cake. Everything was delicious. And I loved their house brewing coffee too. We recommend all of them!

I got the eggs benedict, and it was the perfect amount of food for me. Not pictured is the side of asparagus that came a few minutes later. I don't know what the salad dressing was, but I am hooked! I ordered a Mexican chocolate latte to go, and it was nice not to have an overly sweet drink. I love the organic ingredients. If I lived in the area, I would be there every day!

Fun mix of food types here, from lamb and potatoes to kimchi fried rice. Try the mushroom tea lattes, very tasty. Think tea flavor with the health benefits of mushrooms. They do have a couple rotating specials but I wish their menu rotated seasonally. Everything I've had has been good, with some items like the drunken shrimp being amazing. Desserts are also top notch, so get one. Pear almond tart is one of my favorites, as well as banana cream pie.

We are BACK again and this time added one of their fabulous desserts after splitting the Bison Burger and drinkimg the Watermelon Agua Fresca. Excellent carrot cake! We were here last year and the year before when we visited Santa Fe we stopped in for a fantastic dinner. We had the Sea Bass. The year before that, we were here and we found Sweetwater and ate there twice in one week. It's amazing!

So stoked to find this place during our little weekend visit in santa fe! The restaurant is in an unassuming shopping plaza and the menu is 100% GF ( gluten free )!!! With a ton of vegan and vegetarian options too! We had to stop by twice in our short trip. Once for dinner and once for Sunday brunch :) for dinner I got the bison japchae, their house speciality cashew pesto pizza with a homemade yucca crust, we also tried the bravas potatoes OMGGGT best potatoes we've ever had! It's an appetizer of fried potato chunks with maybe cheddar and Chile??so freaking good! My partner got a bison burger which was also phenomenal! There was a 30 minute wait which was obviously well worth it - so be sure to make rezos in advance when you go! For brunch, I got a green juice, my boyfriend got a coconut milk latte with a local coffee brand espresso (soooo good, iconik!!) And for food, I got the shrimp and grits - the shrimps were perfectly cooked, grits were delicious - only feedback here would be to clean the shrimps (the black string at the base) and he got the breakfast Burrito, a side of sweet potato hash, and a cup of the turkey chili - made with shredded turkey not ground, yum! So good. Out of all of these menu items, the only thing we proabably wouldnt order again is the sweet potato hash because we were expecting it to be crispy and it was soft. Overall would 100000% percent reccomend this place! Hopefully youll save room for dessert because i didn't and totally regret it lol (everything is gf!!) Carrot cake, tres leches, etc etc. This has been our favorite restaurant during our trip especially with dietary restrictions! Keep making awesome food - will def be back next time we're in town!

Excellent place for Sunday brunch. The service was great, very sweet people and the food was super delicious. The Lemon Ricotta Spelt pancakes were amazing. The housemade granola was the best I've ever eaten. Great day trade coffee. Highly recommend this place.

Everything we ordered was fantastic! I really enjoyed the enchilada stack. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. My son had the bison burger. It was great. The staff was friendly and attentive. You can't beat the environment, very green, plants, high ceilings. Our entire experience was awesome.

Fantastic! Plant based foodie here traveling through Santa Fe for the night. Looked up reviews and this seemed like the place to eat if you are a plant based dieter or gluten sensitive. The tofu tacos were Aaaaa-maaaaazzzzing! I also got the matcha bowl and vegan sausage. Definitely was the meal I needed to start the day. Very cute place too and nice staff. Very clean and well kept.

What a great experience!!! First time here on a road trip and the staff were very attentive. Sweet. Soma as so wonderful. She asked if we were from out of town and we told her we were here for a show at meow wolf. She put the artist on their radio and we all kinda freaked out for a quick sec of happiness. How sweet. The energy in here is very light and healthy with tasty little cheats. Drink menu is a bit limited to mainly wines and prosecco, so no bloody Marys here. But wow is the food amazing. I had the juevos rancheros with Christmas chili and holy smokleys. Can't say enough how filling and tasty everything was.

Everyone I met in Sante Fe told me about the Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen Cafe and it did not disappoint. The food, service, and wine selections offered something for everyone. My salad was so fresh and delicious. The chicken was moist. Kale was just right and the roasted potatoes melted in my mouth. The carrot cake was delicious. It was light enough to enjoy year round. Dining on the back patio made for a lovely evening. The owners and staff were very attentive to guests. I would highly recommend a trip here!

Farm fresh, seasonal, innovative food. Loved the food, atmosphere, and the owner. Large gluten free selection. We loved the gluten free flatbread, it is their own concoction of yucca and tastes delicious, not crumbly like those other gluten free crusts, this is hearty and crispy just as it should be.

A
Amanda

Ordered the salmon donburi and chickpea coconut curry, which the salmon bowl was a little too salty whilst the curry was a little under seasoned. But the atmosphere is cozy and the service was excellent. I enjoyed the meal and would come back to try more items on the menu :)

Farm to table freshness. This is my favorite restaurant in Santa Fe! The menu is gluten free and I have enjoyed everything I have ever eaten here. The taste isn’t compromising and is absolutely delicious.

From the moment we walked in the door , we were met with warm hospitality and were seated. The staff were quick to see us taken care of with drinks and our appetizer. Our order was brought to us, and every dish was amazing. We had a great visit and will most definitely be back soon!

Great little healthy spot, loved the decor and healthy options. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. I got the house brewed kombucha, green goddess salad and grass fed burger. All was delicious! Friendly staff and if you pay cash they'll donate to their charity of the month!

This place is amazing! Got the sweetwater omelette with kale and spinach, talk about a super food! It was delicious, the sweet potatoes were perfect. We also had a half serving of the buckwheat pancakes for only $5. The food quality and taste was top notch and the ambiance is super cute. Definitely recommend and will be sure to visit again!

I love all the soups at Sweetwater, but the calabasas and poblano soup became my absolute favorite. The flavors are rich, comforting, and perfectly seasoned. You can really tell they’re made with care. I’ll definitely keep coming back just for these soups!

Amazing restaurant and service! I have come here over 10 times now and have never been disappointed. It gets crowded, especially on weekends (but well worth the wait and the noise). The food is fresh, tasty, and there are tons of healthy options. Try the chocolate mouse pie!

This is my absolute favorite place in Santa Fe! I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico and every time I go to Santa Fe I eat at Sweetwater harvest kitchen you pretty much cannot go wrong with any of their dishes! Their food is flavorful and clean and nourishing. I can't say enough good about this place. And I love supporting local women owned businesses!

We loved every dish — bison burger, veggie burger, pumpkin pancakes, turkey tortilla soup, side salads. My 3yo did as well! Friendly service. Excellent iced tea.

During a recent visit to Santa Fe, I had breakfast three times in this place and absolutely love it!!! It is such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. And the prices are reasonable. Carmen thank you for your kindness!! I highly recommend the gluten-free/vegan pumpkin pancakes and the kimchi fried rice!!! I would love to have a place like this were I live. I would go every day.

It was our last day in Santa Fe . We were looking for a meal that didn't have the traditional chile theme. I found Sweetwater Harvest Kitchen which is off the beaten path. I'm sure this place is a local favorite. My wife had the Pumpkin Quinoa Veggie Burger . Housemade patty w/pumpkin, quinoa + chickpeas topped w/avocado + jalepeno red cabbage slaw; served w/side spinach salad w/red onion, red bell pepper, tomato + pepitas w/ Dijon vinaigrette. The texture was on the soft side but the taste was good. The red cabbage was a welcomed addition. I had the Hunter’s Chicken. Organic Roasted Chicken w/mushroom shallot sauce; served w/sautéed kale + roasted potatoes. Both my wife's plate and my plate were loaded. My Chicken was excellent. the mushroom sauce made the dish. The service was friendly and very fast. I was surprised our food came out quickly. Would definitely come back if we make it back to Santa Fe.

I ate here for lunch today with a friend. And while it was pretty good, I really just have one complaint. I have had so many tacos in my life, so so many. And it's hard to forgive a tortilla that completely falls apart. Generally, a corn tortilla ought to be toasted to sell that problem. I don't think these corn tortillas were toasted, however they were blue corn tortillas so it was a little bit hard to tell. Either way the tortillas split in half completely down the center making it very difficult to eat tacos. Tacos are a handheld food and should be able to be eaten by picking them up. Having said that, the content of the tacos were in fact delicious. And the atmosphere of this restaurant is very cute and charming. The only downside to going here is that the parking is absolutely atrocious. However, given that the parking sucks for so many restaurants in this town that's not that big a deal.

Was my first time at Sweetwater and I really enjoyed it. Great selection! The Turkey Tortilla Soup was absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS!!!! Perfect for the cold weather!!! Will definitely be back!!!

C

The ambience is incredible and the menu exactly what was expected. The Kimchi rice and Tortilla soup definitely hit the spot. What was subpar was the Shrimp Po Boy, it was lackluster in taste and bland at best.

B
Ben Tway

food was fine, for the price. service was surprisingly poor. seemed understaffed up front and frankly, some issues with splitting checks correctly, 3 ways for a party of six- it's not THAT complicated. maybe was a bad day but very mid experience overall considering the quality implied by their prices.

S
SR S

Being vegetarian we ordered the chickpea butternut squash bowl and the vegan burger. The former was bland but palatable whereas the burger had no taste whatsoever though it was promised that it would be appropriately spiced. It was served with a side salad that was a bunch of spinach and the Dijon vinaigrette which was too sweet and oily. The only way to eat this was to squeeze lemon and pepper over the salad and dip the burger in siracha sauce. The side salad just made it seem like vegetarians are cows. It was not quite the experience expected for foods priced pretty high. I did wat it after all the adjustments I made considering it's priced at $18. The Baked potato soup was good and worth it. There are no kids friendly menus (though Google says there is) and while that is ok in specialty food places like these there should be some comfort foods for kids..I don't think I will be going back here but I should mention that my other half was ok with his chickpea curry.

Sweetwater is one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe. The food is usually really good and a fair value. Today I called in a Caesar salad with chicken to go. $21.64. I was handed a box that was not very big, and i asked if there was chicken in it. Yes I was told. The box was half full when we opened it. It is curious to me when restaurants down size to go orders. Do they figure by the time you get home, it’s too late to do anything about it? The croutons were just a piece of bread cut up. We will come back and eat in the restaurant, but I wont be getting to go from here ever again.

B
Brooke

The food was okay. Not terribly flavorful. I got the vegan smothered burrito and it wasn't mixed well. All the black beans, which were the best part, were all at one end. If I had known, I would have torn it all apart and mixed it well. The worst part was that I ended up getting sick and throwing up from it. Won't be going back.

p
puravida40

Disappointed in the food. Ordered the Paleo Burrito- the server didn't even asked if we wanted sausage or bacon. Serviced seemed rush and harried. The sweet potato in the burrito with the burrito itself drenched in the red sauce was a mis match of flavors. I did like the spinach tortilla, but for two subpar burritos with a bill of $33+, will pass next time. Misled again by Google reviews. Cannot recommend this place.

Y
Yohan Chari

The high reviews were misleading. Healthy food can taste good but this neither feels particularly healthy and certainly not good. This is probably the blandest food I’ve ever had. Everything was unseasoned. The most flavorful part were the beans - which were likely from a can. It’s very hard to justify all of that at a price tag of about 50$ for 2 people. It seems like there might have been an ownership change at some point. I truly hope the new owners can turn it around but I’m disappointed I didn’t stop somewhere else in Santa Fe during my stop.

I don't know if the restaurant prefers certain types of guests; it definitely gave me the impression when we visited. For at least 5 minutes we were the only party waiting for a table, and nobody greeted us or acknowledged us in any way. And it's not as if they didn't see us--we were already there when the host came to usher in the party before us; and at least one server made eye contact with me when she passed by later. After a while, a few ladies came in. Within seconds the host told them she would be with them in a minute. Indeed, she's back soon and started to check in the ladies who came after us, while ignoring me as if I were an invisible ghost. The other guests were very nice and pointed out that we were there first. It turned out there would be a 25-minute wait. We could have waited, but we left. Not a pleasant day.

H
Hermi jenivy

Came here to celebrate with family and called ahead to make a reservation. The day of, they sat us right away which was nice. We waited for the rest of our party to arrive and then we ordered. I ordered the golden wrap and asked for extra chicken. When I got my wrap, it was green but I assumed maybe it was golden wrap because of what is on the inside. I was really hungry so I decided to just eat it. I will not lie it was good. However, I noticed it did not have any cauliflower rice in it and the description of the golden wrap said cauliflower rice. All it had was chicken, kale, sweet potato, avocado and the wrap. So I asked our server, “does the golden wrap come with cauliflower rice”? And she said “yes it does” so I told her “oh cause mine didn’t have any cauliflower rice in it” and she picked up my plate and my fork and used the fork to poke at food on the plate and say “look that’s cauliflower rice” and I told her no that’s chicken. It was seriously just grilled chicken pieces cause it was shredded. So I told her no it did not have cauliflower rice and she rudely said “well it doesn’t come with a lot so you probably missed it” and I said no I didn’t I even opened up the wrap to look through it and there was none in it. Come to find out, I received the paleo burrito just with no chile on it. That’s why it was green. And I told them this. So she rudely took my plate and tried to gaslight me for no reason when I wrongly got the paleo burrito. I was no rude about it at all either. I still paid for my meal and said don’t worry about it. They also charged 7 dollars for extra chicken and I think 25 dollars for a burrito wrap with a small side of greens on the side and a little extra chicken is pretty expensive. It was good don’t get me wrong but not worth it in my opinion. The way I was treated was wrong and not good service at all. We did tip well still but we will not be back and I don’t recommend this place to anyone in Santa Fe as a native. Horrible service.
