Opinions de The Pantry On Park Santa Maria
It's busy for a reason! Had the chorizo omelet and it was to die for. The salsa it came with was better than a lot of Mexican restaurants. Service was great and they had nicely spread out and comfortable tables/booths. The coffee could be a little better, but it's typical for diners. Also very fair priced with large portions, 5 stars!
Our favorite place to eat. The service is amazing, the food is incredible, and it's a warm and welcoming atmosphere to have a meal with family and friends.
If I could give more stars I would! I came on a very busy day and it was my first time here. I expected slow service just because they were dealing with such a large crowd with multiple big parties. I was seated rather quickly and immediately offered drinks, the waitress was very attentive and when I ordered my food came out fast! Here's the best part...I ordered the rancher omelette and it is literally the best omelette I've ever had! So delicious!!! Best breakfast place I've been to! I love the food, the service and the friendly atmosphere. I will most definitely be back again :)
All there food is pretty good. My favorite is the Cobb salad. Looks and tastes fresh . Some of their dishes don't taste like they are homemade like the beef roast dinner, but the sandwiches , hamburgers and breakfast are good. Over all the breakfasts are the best.
Has been a favorite for years! Went with a friend in the afternoon, we both ordered breakfast and enjoyed every bite! I even had leftovers. Their soups are made from scratch and are equally delicious. It's not fancy, but you can count on freshly made tasty food.
Had waffle combo. Really good. Not as good as a Solvang waffle, but who's are. Very busy place, probably means it's got consistent quality. I would go again.
Years ago I worked one of my first jobs as a waitress at a little place called The Pantry in Idaho. So I obviously couldn't resist trying this place and see how it compared to the heavenly food I remember from my past location. I was impressed by the abundant service staff, friendliness, and cleanliness! The food was a little pricey for breakfast, and my over-medium eggs were over-easy, but overall it was pretty good. We really enjoyed the home potatoes O'Brien style and the homemade blueberry muffin and awesome little waitress that handled our To-go order. We would return again if in the area.
I had the perfect breakfast this morning at The Pantry. The service was stellar. Very fast and very nice. No pressure, perfectly attentive. I had the home made corned beef hash with two eggs, fruit, English muffin, and a coffee. I've never had corned beef hash like this before. Superb. Everything was cooked to perfection. And i mean ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Even the English muffin was buttered and toasted perfectly
The food was great as always. This is one of my favorite local spots. Even on busy days the wait is short. The staff is amazing and fast. Always the first place I consider when I want a quick breakfast or lunch.
The Pantry is so beautifully redone! The food is excellent quality. The service by Victoria is very much appreciated. Javi keeps things clean and sparkly for customers to enjoy. Small town feel which is a plus and a blessing in a busy world like ours!
The quality of the breakfast and fresh sliced fruit blew my mind it was so good.
We came to The Pantry today, and really enjoyed our server, Anthony. He was fun to talk with and he did very well on our orders, even with 12 of us ordering. I would very much recommend this Restaurant. A couple of us ordered the Ortega Sandwich, which was very good. Thank you again, Anthony for making our day.
Had the biscuits and gravy country, fried steak. Everything was excellent food was hot Service could have been a little better, but it was a Saturday. They were quite busy. Bend there several times so far.The food has been excellent
Unbelievable breakfast Farmer's skillet with biscuits and gravy and a coffee. So good! Go early, this place gets packed.
I was very impressed with this restaurant :) I ordered the tri tip taco salad and it was huge (probably about 3 meals for me🙃). The service was great, our host and server were very friendly and accommodating; the atmosphere is very quaint and cute. They also have a ton of options for pies/desserts. Overall a wonderful experience :) I would definitely return !
It won't break your wallet, and food is great. Friendly staff!
Amazing food and amazing service. First time customer planning to be a returning customer. Our server was Amanda, she was very attentive and accommodating. Best waffles I’ve ever had!
One of my favorite places to get a classic American style breakfast in Santa Maria. The food always is top notch and portions are hearty and will leave you satiated with some leftovers. Service is always top notch it's gets busy on the weekends(understandably) but the wait is worth it. The atmosphere is nice and has that nice rustic Americana feel to it. The pancakes are amazing, their proteins taste as fresh as can be, and don't get me started on biscuits and gravy, they're simply👨🏾🍳💋 🤌🏾. Overall I enjoy and look forward to having breakfast/brunch here and it's always on my recommendation list and will continue to be on it.
We visited The Pantry for the first time this Sunday and it was such a great experience from beginning to end! I was a little surprised to see a small town have such a busy breakfast spot cause I’ve been elsewhere and it’s usually fast seating but here you do have to prepare for a wait. I quickly realized that it’s not because they take long with your food , but rather because the customer service is just outstanding. They take their time to get you exactly what you want from MULTIPLE people asking if you need anything. They make great conversation as well and everything was very clean as well specially restroom area, it was well kept ! 5 stars all around, I got the spaghetti cause I was craving pasta and it was amazing , Hubby got breakfast and was left satisfied completely !! Portions are big and prices are great as well I will definitely come back soon, thank you The Pantry staff !!!
Lovely place managed by Lovely people 😀 the food was really good they also have a vegetarian burger 🍔!
Great little restaurant! Amazing breakfast food, I had the Belgian Waffle and it was very very good. I highly recommend this place. Be aware there may be a wait, but it's worth it. Great for families or large groups. Very attendant servers, always ready to refill your coffee. Quaint, quirky, and a great atmosphere.
We're just passing through the area, but genuinely had one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The apple fritter french toast is AMAZING, and the atmosphere is lovely and clean and fresh! The only gripe is the bathrooms. The rest of the restaurant is beautiful, and then suddenly you're stepping into a pretty gross, old feeling restroom.
OMGosh!, first time having their pastrami sand, and I gotta say it's so so good and juicy every bite was better then the next and what's so good about it the pickle and mustard👌 so of your in the mood for a pastrami, I recommend stopping by the pantry in Santa Maria on Broadway
Good, old fashion family diner. B'fast all day, great diverse menu. Wait draff is awesome even during rushes.
This is my go-to spot. The servers are friendly, and the food is great. I love the classic music that plays every day. My husband and I go 1 to 2 times per week. We even have our own table where we sit whenever we go.
The special was an enchilada omelet with potatoes Obrien. Delicious meal, grea5 service, on a very busy Sunday. Thanks so much to the cook for a great meal! One of our regular places!
Always great service. Breakfast is awesome. Never really order anything other than breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. Can't go wrong. Pancakes are fluffy, not too thin or thick. Ask for warm syrup! Omletes, CA, are the best! Nice portion sizes. If not starving, share a meal. You won't be disappointed. You're safe with anything on the menu!
The food was amazing. I got chicken fried steak. The gravy was perfection. The hash browns and steak were rustic and hearty. And why in the world they would put three eggs in this already huge breakfast is beyond me, but I’ll tell you what, even the hungriest teenage boy would be satiated by this grande meal. Get yourself a strawberry lemonade and you will be glad you did.
I was visiting my family members and my uncle took us here for breakfast. I’m glad he did, the food was delicious and fresh. I order the bacon and eggs with country potatoes with pancakes. Very yummy 😋 I highly recommend this place for breakfast and will order something different next time. Enjoy!
For the price of the food it is really a good deal. Omelets are huge four egg omelets! The bacon is so lean it's phenomenal. I totally recommend this place to anybody that's looking for a nice place that's quiet, relaxing, and and friendly.
The food and service was amazing. Quick turn around for a busy place
My husband and I just had the best breakfast. We ordered from the senior menu and our meals were yummy and just the right amount. I ordered fruit with my omelette, which was fresh and tasty. To top it off our server Amanda was great! She was pleasant and very attentive. We look forward to eating here again.
The food is great. The atmosphere is awesome. The customer service was is excellent. It the best place to go when you're looking for american food.Unfortunately, cracker barrel closed down.So there's nowhere else to go.So pantry is awesome. The food is great
Great diner atmosphere. Friendly staff. Get the pumpkin pancakes! The bacon was soooo good. The french toast too. They Have PIE.
I really enjoyed the short wait, even during a busy Sunday at noon. The parking lot was full, and we almost could not find a spot, and yet we got in after waiting 15 minutes. The portions were very good, and the prices were excellent. Our server was super nice and checked on us a good amount of times. We had drinks right away, refills offered when we ordered, and when the food came, and a couple minutes into trying the food, he checked on us promptly. I will be back often with friends.
Thank you very much to Christina for her great service and for recommending the Haystack potato. The food was great but that Haystack hit the spot with the sour cream and all. I am going to try and make it at home now. First time in SantaMaria and The Pantry made my visit even more enjoyable. Also, thank you to Christina for recommending Avila Beach. I’m definitely coming back to The Pantry and Avila Beach soon.
We found the restaurant to be clean and very welcoming. Nice options for breakfast, I had the breakfast sandwich with the potatoes, rest of the family had a variety of plates. The food was delicious, coffee was fresh and the service was friendly. Overall had a great experience and would eat here again.
Great service today and food! My sisters and I were treated fairly well ❤️🩹
The real deal. Booths, classic diner menu including milkshakes & homemade pies, huge menu selection, excellent food (fresh), friendly service. Not inexpensive, but if you're hungry, the portions are generous. I always plan a meal stop here on my 101 road trips.
Great food and service. Any food order and you will be stuffed, I promise. Seating is comfortable and spread out. Our server recommended certain foods, but I'm sure it's all delicious as to whatever you choose. Overall, it's a great place to eat. We were passing thru from camping on our way home. I'm certainly glad we picked this place to eat. Our service was the greatest. Our waitress was awesome... 2nd year in a row stopping there to eat. I had the Santa Maria Tri Tip breakfast. It was delicious and filling. We brought my daughter's 2 dogs. We sat in the patio area. We were comfortable the dogs were comfortable. Next trip, definitely stopping there again.
First time ever here at the Pantry (thanks for the suggestion, Ma!) and it was delicious! We got to sit outside under the table umbrellas and our server Carol was the sweetest! She made sure we had everything we needed and was extremely polite and friendly. Will definitely go back again. Thank you for your time and your food. 🙏🏻💜🥞🍽
Food was delicious, enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Service was very pleasant. Had to return something and it went fairly smooth.
Ok so honestly I love this place because if your hungry and want lunch breakfast or dinner anytime of the day this is the place to go the food slaps it's a slamdunk like it's really good. Now I havent tried everything but anything breakfast bomb. Omelets bomb. Steak bomb. Coffee bomb BOMB! Service was great I'm not expecting royal treatment but friendly staff yess that at least Iv got. Atmosphere it's cool i mean nothing fancy lit with warm color light
The Pantry, is in the top five for best breakfast in Santa Maria. Food is consistently great. We came in today ordered Joe’s scrambled and Santa Maria omelette. They both were very good, definitely crowd pleasers. Worth noting are their pancakes, they are light, fluffy and taste 👅 wonderful. Chris was our waitress and she deserves praise. She checked on us often and kept the refills a coming, excellent service.
Quick & clean. Breakfast was hot & delicious. Bacon & eggs, hash browns, coffee, & veggie omelet, hot tea. We never have to wait to be seated. Staff is on it.Polite & attentive. Ample parking. Clean restrooms.
In town visiting my Son in Santa Maria. Came here for breakfast highly recommended. We ordered the 4 eggs veggie omelet with added ham and sausage. The omelet was very delicious 😋. I highly recommend. It also came with 2 pancakes. I change it to pumpkin pancake. The atmosphere was great and the coffee is very good. The only complaints I have is more attentive to refilling my coffee. 3 refills, I have to ask 3 times. Definitely enjoy the breakfast. 🥞🍳☕️ #Breakfast #Omelet #Coffee #Pancakes #SantaMaria
The Pantry in Santa Maria is a delightful spot with a charming rustic farmhouse vibe. I recently enjoyed breakfast there with my wife, and it was a great experience. I had the all-meat omelette, packed with protein and perfectly cooked—just the way I like it. My wife loved her French toast, complemented by extra crispy bacon that was simply delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a cozy breakfast outing!
We tried the Pantry for the first time and were not disappointed. All day breakfast is my kind of place. We both got the Pantry omelette and was very tasty. The side of fruit was fresh and juicy. The service was very friendly and the food came out quickly. They also make their Arnold Palmer just right. If you’re in Santa Maria, looking for something good, get on down to the Pantry.
This was our first time coming here. Upon arrival there were a huge amount of people waiting. But the wait ended up being only 30 minutes and it was well worth the wait! Had the eggs Florentine Benedict and added avocado, also swapped out potato for the haystack. And had country fried steak. Both were fire!! A healthy portion that left us feeling super satisfied. Everything was amazing! Will definitely be coming here again and highly recommend!
I love this Restaurant. They really care about the food they serve. Food is delicious and homemade. I had Clam Chowder in a bread bowl. Absolutely delicious creamy and homemade. My husband had the Chicken fried steak. Spaghetti & Meatballs. Beautiful country down home Restaurant. Homemade biscuits yummy!
Christina is a fantastic waitress, she's quick on refills, fun in conversation, and ask questions of orders like an industry professional. She made my breakfast experience amazing before I even tasted the food which itself is amazing and the portions - huge (thanks chef!). The classic family diner contrary to others I've eaten at is kept lean and clean by the rocking hustle of the staff. I swear ever table was cleared in mere seconds after emptied - the host was in the zone today!
Breakfasts are delicious. Our server was excellent. Always enjoy our outings there.
Nice place with good food served quick. The servers were on point, the food piping hot, and good biscuits and gravy. Very clean, and they move fast with tables even with a wait. The area around the restaurant is a little dicey which is not the fault of the restaurant, but I recommend locking your car up, and hide anything that may be in sight inside of your car. On a positive note, it seems Santa Maria is trying to refresh the area.
Food is really great. You get what you pay for and does not disappoint. Good atmosphere and always feel welcomed. Even when super busy they are competent and friendly. One of my favorite places to eat
I really appreciate good service. And the Pantry continues to be the main stay for the food service industry. I will not say the food is gourmet, largest portions. This is a great place. Very very consistent. Absolutely nobody ever wants the most important meal and first meal of the day to be disappointed. Time after time the coffee is good, hot, and constantly refilled. Potatos, pancakes, sausage, French toast you can't go wrong.
Santa Maria staple. Nice place. Has a great menu. Something for everyone. They have patio seating if you prefer. We got the ranch skillet. It's the ultimate breakfast. Biscuits and gravy topped with scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese. Served with a side of country potatoes. Coffee was ok but they have mimosas and beer if you like. Home made desserts. Definitely recommend
Family dinner atmosphere with good comfort food. A little bit of a wait on weekends, more if you're in a large party. Kids enjoy the pancakes and they have a good selection to choose from. Quick table service and friendly service.
I walked in and the place smelled like breakfast which was awesome. That's always a good sign. Even though there was a senior menu, I ordered a breakfast croissant from the regular menu and it was quite tasty. They were busy but service was still good. It helped that I sat at the counter since it was just me dining there. I'm from out of town, so I need to go back and eat there more to better rate this establishment. The menu looked great and there was a list of delicious sounding fresh pies at the front entrance. It's across the street from a wonderful hotel called the historic Santa Maria Inn.
I'm always happy in general when I dine here. Sometimes a staff member will hand you your check when she serves your food which I find rude, but other than that it's a good experience.
Very impressed. I will go again forsure. I have told a few others too. It was certainly worth it.
It's hometown cooking. It was good. Service was great
My new favorite diner of the central coast, real (not powdered) mashed potatoes, pies were made fresh, large menu with plenty of options. Outdoor and indoor seating options, service animal friendly, great service. Only detractors: vegetables were a little old, pie used canned filling, price was on the higher side 17.00 for a entree meal with extra cost for soup/salad etc.
I've gone to this place about 3 times for breakfast and they have all been great experiences. From the particular smell in the restaurant, which i find oddly satisfying 😌 to the awesome omelets they offer. Today I had the Santa Maria omelet and it was awesome, with tri tip and lenguisa, very delicious and i highly recommend you to try it. The orange juice is also good, freshly squeezed i believe. You can also get their habanero home made salsa, which they charge for but its worth it. I really liked it. Sorry, I have no pictures but next time ill make sure I take some. 😅
The breakfasts were great! Ham steak was exceptional, hash browns buttery eggs prepared to order. The service was professional. BUT, the coffee was week and bitter. It left a bad taste. Overall, best breakfast I've had in a long time.
This place gets busy, solid breakfast food, if you leave hungry it's your own fault, they nail all the breakfast staples solidly. Their pies are okay, but for a great hearty breakfast, you can't beat the place. For lunch and dinner it's similar to Black Bear Diner food-wise, but man, for breakfast, you can't beat the place. Plan on spending 1-2 hours for breakfast though, as it gets really busy and the kitchen gets really backed up.
Hometown Cooking The Pantry was recommended by a local dealership. The menu hit alot of my favorite American Diner foods. The staff were friendly and the food was pretty darn good. I so wanted to give them 5 stars but after we were served our waitresses never came back. My club was missing the pickles I asked for and she never brought out the extra ranch my wife asked for. 3 of us ate, Two breakfast combo's my club sandwich, a side of fries and a side of fruit, 2 coffee's and an ice tea; $90 dollars + $10 dollar tip. $100 buck. Yea I left her a tip.
Food was ok a little cold and we were seated at a small table we asked our server to move us to a bigger table after seeing two open in her section but she said she would make ours work and of course it didn't maybe that's why the food was cold.
Pastrami sandwich was good, a little bit too salty. The service was ok. Atmosphere was relaxing, old tunes playing at a decent level. Next time I will try the breakfast.
The Pantry has good food, they are always busy and could use more staff. It was almost the end of the meal before a second cup of coffee. I also had to go up for a to go left over box.
Food was good. Had to wait extra longer due to a family “knowing” someone that works here and were able to get privileged seating before the other 5 groups that were waiting beforehand in the rain.
I have never been here before and I was so excited to try. I ordered breakfast croissant. I was so disappointed with the dish. The sausage tasted weird and old. My cheese was melted into my hot tomato and over cooked cheese. My bill came just as soon as my food, so I felt rushed. My wife didnt have but two bites and staff didnt ask why we didnt eat. If course because the bill was already on the table. I do have to say the fruit was excellent. One of the best fruit bowls I've had. You can see the pic below. One last thing the croissant was flaky and tasty on top. The bottom was soaked with grease. The eggs were fluffy and pretty good.
The wait staff were excellent. The plate was cold causing the food to cool down.
Foods is great but services is not so good once you're served they don't come back for refills or check to see if you need a box to go
They close early Food was good but little Skippy on the pastrami sandwich I ordered half sandwich had meat in a big ball in the middle the other half not so much n they put a bunch of fill pickles on it to make it look like there was for 1500 dollar sandwich you'd of thought they could put meat in both halves also the drink prices are outrageous two ice teas $9.00 N I'm not talking about alcohol either two 10C tea bags cost you $9.00 in there it was shocking spending 50 bucks on a sandwich n a wrap n 2 glasses of plain tea not even sweet tea which is what I ordered n they never offered to refill our glasses either or take our plates or bring a to go box for the extra fries which I would of rather had a great sandwich n an average amount of fries not worth the price by far.!!!! The server deliberately ignored us too actually nothing about this place was impressive.
Very disappointing to leave a bad review. Always been very happy with the food and the service here at the Panty, but not today. We called in to leave an order and were informed that it would be about 30 minutes until the food was ready which we said was absolutely fine. Sadly instead of having our order taken we were put on hold for 15 minutes instead. Having worked in restaurants in the past I'm well aware of the rushes so I figured the person who was going to take our order got busy. We called back. Got an answer immediately and were told that we could put in an order but to give them a minute. We sat on hold for another 20 minutes. Not acceptable. If the restaurant is slammed and you're incapable of taking over the phone orders, you have a few options. Don't pick up the phone, turn the phone line off (common with other restaurants) or simply tell the person on the phone you aren't taking call in orders at this time. If you go in person the service is solid, but don't try to calling in orders.
Not what I expected. I was told that they were very generous with the protein portions. My tuna melt had very little tuna, more bread than tuna. And when I went to the restroom I saw a worker use the toilet and leave without washing his hands!!!! Yuck!!! So I won't be going back there again. BTW they didn't post a sign stating, "All employees MIST WASH HANDS before returning to work. " Who knows, maybe he thought it was okay since there was no sign?
Only one star because of the service we received. For the food and decor it deserves 5 stars. We were ignore by our server Victoria after we ask to remove the whip cream on the dish. On the menu it wasn’t mentioned anywhere that whip cream will be added to the dish. We told her that and she got upset, told us that anytime fruit is ordered whip cream is added automatically. As we are not from here and only visiting we didn’t know this but apparently we all have to know this. Then she didn’t bring us water or pour more coffee because she stopped looking at our table. We had to stop her and ask for it, she never came back to our table to ask if everything was ok, not once! And of course, we never got a smile from her. So good food and place but be aware of what you say to Victoria if she is your server.
The Hash Browns were partially cooked. The omelette was not flavorful. My Belgian waffle was good. The scrambled eggs with it were tasteless. We will not be going back. Who ever was cooking today was off.
Food quality isn't worth the waiting line on Saturday morning. Ordered egg florentine and French toasts. The hot chocolate is basic straight from hot chocolate mix pouch. They left the egg shell on my plate. Huge piece. The French toast is dry. How can they be good at other menus when they can't cook the basic?
