I got the Jiana roll and the lobster was fantastic. The portion size was so large that I had to share some with my partner. I’ve been going to InJapan for years and they never fail. Best sushi around and a humongous menu selection.

I've worked in the restaurant business a large part of my life so, I know how it works when you come in close to closing. I was on the road traveling and trying to get a meal that wasn't McDonalds or Taco Bell, but I was kinda in between large towns. I was actually settling for IHOP and saw this place and that I had 15 mins to spare. They kindly took me in and cooked me Hibachi. Great staff, Great food, definitely recommend just try to come at a more reasonable time than I did lol.

This experience was an amazing one! Wonderful fast, polite service and yummy sushi. What a sweet surprise across from an overnight stop. The place was packed, but that didn't slow them down. If your passing through, please don't hesitate to stop by. We sat at the bar. It has chairs. I'd do it again. Sadly I only took a photo of my seaweed salad. I must have too hungry to remember to photograph my roll and sushi when it came. Hahaha

Stopped in here for supper while traveling from San Antonio on my way home to Mississippi. The food was really good and the service was quick and friendly. We had a pleasant meal in a clean and pleasant restaurant.

It was my first time at the restaurant visiting a friend. I enjoyed the food and the hibachi experience. The person cooking the food did a great job of keeping us entertained. I feel like the food was cooked really quickly as well. I had the fried rice and chicken and shrimp (unpictured). I forgot to take pictures of the food. The fried cheesecake was good but it felt weird eating warm cheesecake. Overall great experience, I would go back.

Love the new walls and ambiance. Alexa provided us with excellent service. Even recommended the crab cakes which our now one of our new favs!!

My 4 year old great granddaughter loved her birthday party here. They really entertained her. She loved watching them cook the food and of course the tricks the chef did while cooking made her and her brother so happy. The employees were so friendly and food was great. The best fried rice I have had ever. My steak was perfect. It's a great family restaurant. He 7 year old brother said he wanted his party there to. Everyone had fun and everyone enjoyed their food.

This is a great sushi place! I had the titanic roll. The sauce was sweet and delicious. And the tuna and salmon had a very fresh taste. I especially liked the crab meat on top which had a sweet taste to it. The presentation was also nice with the wasabi shaped into a leaf, something cool I had never seen before. The waitress was also very nice and went out of her way to recommend the dish that I ate. The sushi chef even was attentive though he didn’t have to be. Overall I felt very welcomed here and the sushi was very good. I highly recommend.

First time here and will definitely be back. We read reviews and we were not disappointed. We got hibachi steak, shrimp, and chicken. The chicken was a little dry but the steak was amazing as well as the shrimp and vegetables. Of course the fried rice was so good, too. Our hibachi chef was very entertaining and made for a fun night. My daughter and I tried the sushi. It was very good and freshly made. The appetizer salad dressing was incredible. The flavor combinations and freshness was incredible. We came on a Friday night and had to wait about 30 minutes. Definitely worth the wait!

Best sushi I've had in East Tx. Had Itchibn & Poison Ivy rolls. Bot were good. Fresh ingredients. Waitress Kassidee was excellent. I would say for E Tx this is a 5 star but being from Houston just hard to say it's 5 star best.

Good food, friendly but a little slow service due to understaffing. I went for a healthy meal and enjoyed my seaweed salad and Unagi hand roll. I also had the Avocado bomb but forgot to snap a picture. It's great to have a good Japanese restaurant right here in Marshall, TX.

Ordered takeout and had two different sushi rolls and those were good. Ordered a Kani salad and was very disappointed, essentially it was a handful of shredded crab on top of salad mix and that’s it. I’ve had Kani salad before and that was not it. Disappointed I got all the way home before taking a look at everything.

We stopped in Marshall and were craving Ramen. Unfortunately the only one they were serving was seafood ramen which is barely a thing. Anyway we were disappointed and were not feeling anything else so left. Sorry if that was offended staff.

Lacey had a lot of tables but still managed to get our party’s (table of 10) orders correct. Very crowded night, but service was good.

Servers are pretty quick and the cooks put out high quality food. Hibachi takes time but is a quality show. The soba is so good and the ramen!

The quality and taste of the food here overrides the weak service. We had dinner here last night and it was early so not very busy. We were seated and our order was taken promptly but no serving utensils brought to the table. The waitress slapped our two salads down without looking and we had no way to eat them. I stared at 3 young waitresses standing near us chatting for a few minutes before I had to walk up to them to ask for a napkin and find fork or chopsticks. However the rolls we ordered were avail delicious!

A full side of the menu was unavailable which the server should've advised in the beginning. Ordered chicken fried rice and got large chunks of chicken with a side of rice. When I order a cheeseburger I don't expect to receive my cheeseburger in pieces to put together.

Went for lunch. Food was mediocre. Hibachi rice was more like Chinese fried rice. This is the only Hibachi restaurant I've visited were the grill isn't open during lunch hours. Was on the higher end price wise but lower end food wise.

The food was pretty good but not the best we have ever had as far as Japanese Steakhouses. I ordered the steak and my husband ordered the salmon. There was plenty. However, the vegetables were awful. The fried rice was very good. I would come back if we visit Marshall again.

Kind of a sad Japanese steakhouse. Our chef did not know what he was doing, was very disorganized and blamed everything on the "unprofessional" people that work there. The food was bland, he kept having to stop and go back to the kitchen to get things. After he made everyone else's entrees and was starting to end things he realized that he had forgotten to bring my chicken out and had to go back to the kitchen once again to get it. By the time I was finally served everyone else at the table was finished and the waiter was bringing everyone's bills. I got to finish my dinner at an empty table filled with everyone's finished dinner plates. The sauces were not like other Japanese steakhouses and were so sweet that nobody ended up using them.

Typical Japanese place with a capital T. The variety of the sushi rolls is VERY good. Anyone else tired of the cookie cutter salads at Japanese places? The salad here is the WORST! It is watery and bland... and i love ginger salad dressing vut their salad is soooo bad, the place would be better off not offering it: but for Marshall tx this place is a go...fix the salads... I have a couple of favorites sushi rolls though here.

This restaurant has the best sushi in the area and their lunch special prices are unbeatable 12 dollars for 2 rolls and soup. They were so good I had to order another lunch special! UPDATE: Usually their sushi is fresh and really good, however last time I went the tuna rolls were not fresh at all they smelt really fishy which it’s not supposed to if it’s fresh like it’s supposed to be. Honestly I almost didn’t even eat the tuna rolls. The salmon avocado rolls were good.

Unfortunately, they did not have Filet when we went, so settled for New York strip. Chef was entertaining, a little erratic and sprayed us with hot water twice. Even the 7 year old got hit once. Still worth the visit just watch out for the over spray.

They held the table, waited for a bigger party to show up. Then they didn't show. The cook was not that great. His presentation was very disappointing. When he made the tower out of onion rings and it's supposed to smoke... He caught the whole tower on fire then made the fire bigger. The food was over cooked. Rice was still crunchy, the best things were the sushi rolls we purchased before the Habachi started. Needless to say it was the worst 120.00 I have ever spent on a birthday dinner. They didn't even do anything for my husband's birthday even though the waitress and I had spoken about it before our cook showed up. She even said "I'm going to let the cook know it's his birthday". And then nothing.. and they were using an electric nailer to nail something to the wall. Over and over and over again they kept shooting nails into something.

Food and cook were amazing. Never saw our server and they add automatic gratuity. Waitresses know they will get tipped even if they do not serve you. For the amount of money you pay here, you shouldn't have to beg for a drink or have to get your own to go boxes.

We're long time customers. We spend on average between $200 and $300 on any given visit. So, saying that, the service has gradually deteriorated to second rate over time. Orders are eventually taken but getting the drinks or the soup and salad or even seeing the server come back at any acceptable time frame is completely unacceptable. Today's drinks took significantly longer than most any other place we go to. Last visit was the same, waiting up to 25 minutes for drinks. Today was not busy, at all. The hibachi cook today did nothing but come out and cook the food. There was literally no show at all. No rice thrown to catch in your mouth, no flaming hat, music, no onion ring volcano, literally...NOTHING. We come for the food but we also come for the show and that was completely nonexistent tonight. This service atmosphere has deteriorated consistently over time to the point that we are going to start limiting our visits there. If I go to El Taco across the street, they are all over everything, frequent visits to the table or walking past if you need anything. Food and drinks served in a timely manner. If you can believe this, even Applebee's service is now better than In Japan's, which is really saying something. The one thing that was great was the food. But, if you have great food and lousy service, you end up having a less-than-fun visit. Take heed, In Japan, you had a good thing going, bring it back!

The sushi was okay. The fried cheese cake is delicious. I would prefer to drive to Longview for sushi. Cough cough Fuji's.😉 However, Injapan was a pleasant experience but we look forward to try the hibachi next time, it appeared to look more delightful. We will be back!!

Way overpriced, we order the hibachi steak and shrimp combo. One with rice one with noodles they serve the cheapest shrimp you can buy and overcharge you for them. Also we ordered our steaks medium they were well done no seasoning very bland taste. I will not be returning this place it was my first and only time trying Injapan.

Used to be top notch. Sorry tasting food tonight, poor service, and it has gone downhill. Won't be back. We have been coming here for years, but when the majority of the workers are teens and they're too bust chatting and talking on cell phones, this is what happens.

Tonight was an awful experience. We should’ve known to leave when the hostess told us they only had 2 waitresses and she could seat us (in an empty dining room), but we would have to wait to be served. Upon ordering, we were told by our “new” waitress (she kept telling us she had just started), that we might not get soup and salad because they were out. We did eventually get it; however, the table next to us was not as fortunate. The rice was hard and the meal was just ok. My husband and I shared my water because our waitress never came by to refill his drink even though the dining area was slow. Our daughter and her friends ate at a separate table and got stuck waiting to pay for their food after their waitress announced that she was “taking a smoke break.” They ended up asking a chef for help because he was the only employee they could find - even the hostess had disappeared. After finally getting the check, they observed their waitress cussing about someone, and they wondered if she was talking about them. Who knows! None of the waitresses even had a pen to sign the receipts! Our waitress finally found us one…but my daughter and her friends ended up signing their tickets with my daughter’s lip liner!! The “smoke break” waitress repeatedly asked my daughter’s table to leave her a review on Google…so here you go!! What an absolutely terrible experience for a great deal of money! Next time we’re in Marshall, it’s DQ and dipped cones! Either that, or Pietro’s! Not In Japan…not for awhile.

Hmmmm, where to begin. I order a peach drink, the second one tasted different then the first one so inconsistent drinks. I was there during dinner, I didn’t get soup or salad. The cook was boring and kept watching the other cook. Also the fried rice was crunchy and we had to ask for yum yum sauce and the cook was trying to pour it on our plates instead of in the sauce tray. Flavors of the food was good besides the crunchy rice. Too much money spent for low budget service… there won’t be a next time
