Sunday night dinner was soo very good! My Chile relleno was perfect! My friend really enjoyed his steak fajita. The tres leches and refreshing margaritas completed a wonderful experience! (P S Also loved the lights and artwork, made for a really fun ambiance)

Randomly picked this placed for an impromptu celebratory lunch. Small interior dining area with a patio out back. Inside was packed, so we were on the patio. Had the Chile verde plate. Mild, light, and still delicious. Also had a Cadillac margarita that was very tasty. Staff was awesome. *Update: Food continues to impress, and service is excellent.

Let me just say this: one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever visited. Restaurant itself is mid-sized however is very cozy and inviting. The food is very authentic, keeping the root flavours and dish presentation, respecting the way they should be. Dishes are generous and will allow for two to share if that's decided. Service is very attentive, always accommodating to the guests. There are outside and inside seating accomodations as well as parking at the back side. Will visit the place again whenever I'm back in the area.

Stopped into Lares for lunch on a friends recommendation and was blown away! Fantastic family owned authentic Mexican restaurant that is serving up huge flavors! I had the asada enchiladas and everything from the steak to the beans were fresh and tasty. This could very well be the best Mexican food on the westside of Los Angeles, do yourself a favor and give them a shot!

Quaint place. The pork carnitas were great: fresh vegetables, tasty pork, creamy beans, and delicious rice! The chicken fajitas were pretty good too (great flavor) but way too many green peppers. Also appreciate the fresh salsa and warm chips!

Came for lunch to this cool, cozy Mexican restaurant. "Lar" meaning "Hearth" of the medieval era, hence the facade of the building and ambiance of the space. Cool bar in the front, and wooden features throughout to give a historic vibe. Menu selection is decent, food is okay, didn't see anything that set this place apart from others (perhaps I missed it). Parking can be a little tough as there is street parking but fairly limited. Staff was amicable and quick to serve.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The staff has been there since my 1st visit years ago. The food keeps it's Quality. I have had chicken Mole, Asada Plate and always has been good. This time I had Señor Parras Special. Beans were delicious and scrambled eggs had great taste. The Top sirloin was a bit plane. Needed a little bit of salt but overall good

Great Mexican food. And stuff are so fun and nice too. Also there were two men playing guitars at night! I saw two grouped of birthday crowed. So yes Looks like it’s a good place to celebrate in a small group as well.

It‘s a really authentic mexican restaurant, you get directly as a kind of greeting from the kitchen fresh nachos with a salsa verde.. so far so good, we ordered as main dish 2 tacos with beef and guacamole and 2 enchilada with beef. The taco with beef was more or less not spiced and the meet was dry. The enchiladas were not that bad but also this dish was not really spiced. I really recommend this restaurant and when we wouldn’t just travel I would try it for sure again!

The carnitas plate (pictured) was very traditional and very tasty .My only complaint was the price of my Michelada: $12.50 seems pricey for a Modelo beer and tomato juice! Especially when the carnitas entree itself was just $18.

Ordered tostadas just to get a bug salad with 1 small tostadas that got soggy. Didn’t even ask if something is wrong with a dish. Never ever coming back. Probably the worst Mexican food in my life.

Ooof. Make sure you read the RECENT reviews of this place. We ended up having to leave before our food got there. Took 30 minutes to get our order taken and a hour to get waters on the table. The chips and salsa were good. One of the waitstaff was pleasant, everyone else we talked to was super stressed and it was not a fun vibe. This is not what people go out for. I bet it used to be good.
