This place has a very nice vibe, just pleasant people, nice decoration, good customer service, and I absolutely loved the line dancing classes, although I have a long way to go to catch up with some awesome dancers there 😃. But seriously, I highly recommend this place if you want to have a nice, fun evening.

I’ve been to this spot numerous times when I was younger and it was a great spot. Ping pong, pool tables and a great summer spot. Now that I’m older it’s definitely out of my age range. A bit more crowded and lively which isn’t a negative if you’re ready to party. I’ve switched up to more lounges, less crowded spots and comfy seating spots. I highly recommend this spot because it feels like someone’s beach house converted into a dayclub/bar. The crowd is definitely younger/college aged and it’s a youthful vibe. If you are a member of AARP, go to Wally’s.

Came here on a Friday evening right after work. This place is beautiful with all the holiday lights and decorations. The ambiance is pretty much like you’re hanging out at someone’s nice vacation bar with two fully decked out bars. I hear it gets crowded after 9pm - so definitely plan ahead!

Great vibes, drinks, and plenty of space. staff is very professional and kind, with special mention of service to Julius at the front entrance and Mike the security guard.

They have created a cozy lounge offering some outstanding cocktails and offer dinner with some great meals. An exciting addition to the Miramar. Fish and chips served with minted mushy peas and nice crunchy thin cut fries was very good as was the kitchen sink and steak salads. Hamachi tuna was a bit over cooked with a over sauced stir fried oriental veggie that could or should be more inventive and less takeout like.

Went for a business meeting and had a snack and a drink at the lobby bar/restaurant. Definitely feels like you’re on vacation. Very relaxing yet upscale vibe. The staff was attentive and the outside area was very a pleasant oasis complete with small waterfall koi pond.

A fun spot to have drinks with friends. We were in a group of 8 and had to meet a minimum amount for our group size and with a limited dinner menu we were unsure how it would go but we were able to meet it. This is really not the best dinner spot and more of a bar/club vibe. We did order most everything on the menu and everything was really good! We especially loved the smash burger. The DJ was fun and it got more lively as the night went on.

We arrived around 11:30 p.m., and the party was already in full swing with a mix of cultures in the crowd. Entry required payment upfront, but it included free drinks. The music wasn’t very loud, and the place didn’t quite give off the lively energy you’d expect. It was also quite crowded, and after 1:00 a.m. things started to slow down as people began leaving. Overall, it’s an average spot.

Overall: 8/10 On the day I went, a reservation was required with a minimum spend of $50 per person. That included two drinks — and that was it. Some of the bartenders had poor service, but overall it was still a decent experience.

Great spot for singles to mix and mingle. Cocktails run $15 to $22. We arrived at 8:30pm on a Friday just as the vibe shifted into nightclub mode. The DJ wasn’t amazing but dropped a few bangers that had the crowd moving. I’d come back, just during the day next time, when it’s a little more chill, the music isn’t blaring and there’s actually a place to sit and enjoy.

A beautiful spot near the beach! It's a very busy place adjacent to the Fairmont. It only gets busier as the evening progresses. The patio fills up first. A mix of locals and travellers. Great drinks, music and laid-back ambiance. Had a wonderful time! Even though the crowd was a little younger than me, everyone was friendly and nice. I met many interesting people and the atmosphere was fun. I felt like I was back in college again in one of the old style frat houses... Only everyone had grown up and gotten well paying jobs! If you're ever in Santa Monica this is the place to go

I’m sad to see this place fall due to evolution, but a $50 cover charge with a 2 drink minimum all for a house party vibe and early 2000’s music isn’t worth the hype. Used to wait in the 2 hr line to get in, which was more worth its while. Edit: There’s no cover charge before 9-9:30pm for anyone hoping to get in free! Have visited since the new rules, and yes it’s less busy, but the same kind of crowd and energy, so I’ll be planning accordingly for my next visit. :D

Ok so the place is pretty & they have a good trivia night on a Wednesday. I’m just confused on their price aim. They have $200 margarita pitchers & $140 sangria pitchers on the menu that must be laced with gold dust. The bill for 6 people who had a couple of drinks each was $300. Average cocktail is $18 plus your service fee & tax. Nice to try once, but that bill is pretty pricey for regular visits even for Los Angeles.

Worst service of any Fairmont we have stayed in. Food was medicore and still took over an hour. Waitress was rude, did not check in and seemed to not care at all about guests. It took an hour to get a hot water with lemon. Very sad but based on the service, we doubt they would care about a review. Trading on Fairmont name to stay open, or it would certainly be closed. Just gross.

Update: As expected the newly uploaded pictures from reviewers of the place show a stark difference between how it is here now after the reservation fee requirement. That is nothing like how it was before the fee which is the era they are STILL using photos and videos from on social media to promote and make it look like fun whereas now it's a much more thinned out and joyless crowd, way older patrons than who they would have you believe is turning up here, and an outright sausage-fest. Mandatory $50 reservation fee now in place will destroy all that was once great here - the spontaneity, the youthful vigor, the diversity. Now it's just another bar in the area with nothing to make it stand out beyond being outrageously overpriced with a delusional sense of exclusivity and will have a particularly dull and depressing vibe considering they are turning their back on so many previous regulars who made this place so vibrant and unique. Also imagine what's going to happen to the bartender and waiters' tips with the drop-off in patronage. Safe to say they should at least take down all the punk posters hanging inside, nothing less anti-establishment than a move like this. EDIT: I also want to note that they are using rather old footage on social media to advertise the "fun" environment at the place such as posting a video of girls in line within rope barriers yesterday (7/5/25) when the line has not been set up like that since the beginning of this year and when I pointed this out on Instagram they deleted my comment and blocked me obviously since they know it will no longer be like that with a reservation fee in place.

Last Friday we had a terrible experience at the bar in this place. We went with some friends and, while we were dancing, we noticed that a jacket we had left on the couch had been stolen. When we alerted the staff, we also realized that a cell phone was missing. We asked them to check the security cameras. After a long wait, they came back saying that the cameras showed someone taking the phone, but they refused to show us the footage. Desperate, a friend went to the hotel administration to ask how they handle these situations and to request access to the cameras. They kept refusing, and as she got more nervous, they told her to be quiet. When she didn’t, an employee came out from a back room and handed her the phone, saying, “That’s enough, leave now.” After that, more security staff appeared and told us we had to leave. We felt completely helpless, especially being foreigners and not speaking the language perfectly. It seemed like everyone was covering up what had happened. We ended up outside, unable to do anything. The jacket never appeared. We should have filed a report, but we were only in Los Angeles for one night — a night that was ruined because of this place. It’s a shame, because everything had been fine until then. BE CAREFUL.

The hotel is great, this place was very disappointing. We are visiting for a week staying at the hotel. My wife hurt her ankle walking today and was limping because of it. We walked past the first two bouncers without a problem when all of a sudden some bouncer walkers up and said she was too drunk to come in lol. We tried to explain she hadn’t been drinking but he just ignored us so we left and went and drank at FIG. Still disappointed but they deserve the 1 star for thinking they know all no questions asked…
