Came here on a busy Friday night. Started off in the basement bar where we got some drinks and listened to live music. Then explored the 1st floor and outside. Finally went upstairs to the birdcage and danced the night away. Very cool venue which has a bit of everything for everyone.

My go-to spot every time I visit Santa Monica or Vegas! Soy chorizo pizza and Spanish latte are my absolute favorite. Oh, and don't forget the pastries,salads, and sandwiches.. all amazing!!

Overall, this is a really cool venue to rent out for an event or to attend.

This place is consistently a fun time … they usually play lots of solid electronic music bangers. The crowds are generally here for a fun time. The layout of the place can get a bit packed but has a nice mix of inside & outside areas. Overall it draws a good mix of locals and tourists for a fun vibe 😎

Good ambience, good food. Make sure you’re healthy enough to come to this place. They will check your temperature before you’re in and they will give you barcode to see the menu. We order some food and it’s delicious and had pretty big size. Red velvet pancake, burger and fries.

Came here as a European and loved the environment. Vibes are immaculate because there are different kinds of music playing in different rooms. Its a massive house so it gives a house party and club mixture vibe.

Upscale, outdoor, beach vibe. Great music and good food. Feels like an outdoor supper club after dark. Plenty of parking on the street.

The Victorian is one ofy favourite spots when I want to go out and dance in Santa Monica. First of all, it is a beautiful venue on its own. The outdoor patio is almost magical with all the trees, lights and tropical plants. The house itself is a victorian style building (hence the name) where you can eat, drink and also dance in the night. Food happy hour is from 5-8 pm in the basement tavern. The house has 3 floors and is just beautiful. During the week there are often life bands and a lively crowd. During the weekend is music and dancing and it us usually very crowded. The crowd us mixed from students to upscale or some gay events in the upper floor. Drinks are pricey but it doesn't cost entry so it's definitely worthwhile going there.

I have never dined here. I usually go for the salsa dancing. It's 12 cover charge and you get to learn salsa and bachata if get there by 8:00 pm. Great crowd and mostly friendly people. A lot of regulars too. The instructor is great and provides lessons for a fee at her studio if you're serious about learning salsa.

Beautiful day outside. Staff was very nice, but very green. Needs some training for sure on basic service skills. But not enough to ruin our experience.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night with clients and didn't know what to expect. The seating is on the outside only and we got seated on two low couches with a coffee table as our "dinner table". The food wasn't that great - I ordered the margarita pizza and I do not recommend. At all. Probably the best dish was their burger, which I had a bite of someone else's. The average age of this place is probably 21, so it was fun to people watch as the night wore on, but definitely not the crowd for me. The place has a nice atmosphere and the music was great.

Went for happy hour outside. Good service but the food and pricing for happy hour still need improving. Live music was a nice touch.

I was there for the salsa night on a Thursday. Was actually a bit disappointed: few good dancers; rough wooden plank floor, which is not ideal for the ladies' turns, low ceiling on the ground floor. There is a second Bachata dance floor upstairs and lots of nice outdoor space to hang out!

Absolutely NOT wheelchair accessible, even on the first level. But first, let me say the server we had was incredibly kind and was honestly more upset about the lack of access than we were (we're used to it). The good news is, from what I saw the first level could VERY EASILY become wheelchair accessible with a little forethought. I think the easiest things to do would be to move their valet stand, which was blocking the sidewalk and made it impossible to use the main entrance. Alternately, they could install a proper ramp or a curb cut at the back entrance. They currently have two tiny bits of wood against the curb, but, as they aren't wedge-shaped, they don't actually help. A staff member managed to find some plywood for us to use as a makeshift ramp. By some miracle the plywood held up and no one got hurt. Of course my preference would be for this neat building to become ADA compliant, even just on the first level, but at the very least the team needs to remove any claims of wheelchair access. So no little blue accessible symbol on google, add a "no wheelchair access" to the website FAQs, and definitely, PLEASE don't tell people it's accessible if they call or email. Trying to get wheelchairs into the Victorian in its current state is an injury/lawsuit waiting to happen. The staff was kind and are the only reason this place didn't get one star.

4th of July 2025 weekend was terrible there. Idk who decided that a dj mixing Waka flocka with like Katy perry music was a good idea. Felt like I was in a black mirror episode show club scene or something it was way off. Let the bangers drop for a while, dj needs to read the crowd better everyone was thinking the exact same thing. I've been here before with good experiences but this was terrible.

I went to their salsa night on Thursday for the first and possibly last time. The club in their effort to make even more money (they already charge you a high entrance fee and the drinks are pretty expensive) had the “brilliant” horrible idea to also have a College Student night on the same Thursday on their basement. They have separate entrances for their two different crowds but as the night progressed I noticed a steady stream of loud, drunk, and completely oblivious of their surroundings college students walking around the dance floor where the salsa dancing was taking place in the main floor. At some point later in the night it was basically impossible to dance as these college students came in droves to the main floor and completely disrupted the fun adult vibe. All of this mess because this business is so hungry for money? Eventually the adults in the room will not be coming back to a messy business. It’s not cute and it had the potential to escalate into an altercation with drunk college students. No, thank you.

We were in the club for 10 minutes and my phone got stolen right away. The security barely cared. Absolutely not recommended!!!!

First of all it sucks that the place doesn’t take cash and I hate the fact that they over charge for drinks and bartenders push 30% on tips before they hand you the Machine. Not only that, but they overcharged for a drink that I didn’t have bunch of scam going on over there with the employees and the bartenders, taking advantage of people

Would’ve been nicer if the bartender didn’t automatically click the 30% tip option. Seems like they want to gouge as much money as possible out of their drunk patrons, despite already charging outrageously high prices for drinks.

The man with one nose ring was absolutely terrible. He was trying to get us to go the right way to the bathroom — which we were. And shoved me out to not go to the bathroom. Honestly I’m not a Karen but this man was absolutely terrible and disgusting to me. Don’t go here unless you want to be disrespected. I never leave a review, but here I am. The Victorian is terrible. I’ll take this down unless they give me my sash back and some sort of compensation. Thanks.

Don’t bother coming here if you’re an out of state student!! Didn’t even scan or look at my ID! Bouncers just took it and said its fake, my friend who is from here got in with no problem. Bouncers try to get bribes from you as well, but don’t fall for it! They’ll probably just take your money and not let you in!

This is the worst place I have ever been to. Went there on a Friday night and the bouncers are horrible. I was very respectful to all the bouncers as they were kicking everyone out for closing while I was waiting for the bathroom. They told me to go pee outside in the bushes. Then proceeded to shove me out. Soon after they shoved my girlfriend out because she asked if she can wait for her friend that was in the bathroom. This is super unprofessional and I'm surprised this place is still a business. Peoples phones are stolen here constantly, people are drugged, and the bouncers will fight people for no reason. The bouncers also do not care when someone is drugged and trying to get help. If there is one piece of advice I have for anyone on this planet it is DO NOT go to this place.

The security personnel here feel way too comfortable getting aggressive with women. I went a few months ago and was shoved really hard by a white bald security dude about 6 feet there while dancing to the point I almost fell. A simple tap on the shoulder would have sufficed if he wanted to move past me in a loud, crowded environment. The second time was Saturday where I was walking to the front of the bathroom lines to ask the girls waiting in front if I could just use the sink to wash my retainers. Another security personnel, a large woman smacked her arm in front of my body to prevent me from passing. I ran into her arm hard. Because of the aggressive behavior shown to me and security personnel putting their hands on my for no good reason, I refuse to give this place any more dollars

Where do I even start????? Sorry, but this is a horrible place. I've been here a few times and I had never looked at reviews because I was recommended by a friend. If you're seeing this then SAVE YOURSELF and do not come here. Went here most recently a week ago. My phone, drivers license, AND all of my debit and credit cards got stolen out of my purse without me even realizing it. There is very clearly ORGANIZED THEFT here. Asked an employee if there was a lost and found and he LAUGHED at me and said to wait in the corner on the patio so when everyone left we could go around the place and look for it after closing. Like he made me feel so stupid and dumb for even asking him. So then here I am literally sitting WHERE I WAS TOLD TO SIT anxious out of my mind and a guard comes up around 1:45 am and starts yelling at us to leave and I tried to explain to him that we were told to sit over here but he didn't even care and started pushing us out. I am just so disappointed in the way this was handled. I know they can't do much about my phone and stuff being gone but at least have some sympathy for someone who just got all their money, identity, and phone stolen. BTW the people who stole my phone had already tried to charge $5,000 onto my card and various other charges from Mexico by the time it hit 3am. These people are absolute idiots. This place created such a nightmare for me and I am so beyond disappointed. It is BEYOND me that anyone would want to go here knowing this happens every night. Last thing, lots of creepy men. These people literally prey on you and clearly don't know how to flirt or respect boundaries whatsoever. It is actually embarrassing to me how some people are so confident and creepy at this place. Very sad that me and so many other people do not feel safe here.

Beware of this club. I got my phone stolen recently and I’m pretty certain there’s organized theft going on at this place as there’s multiple items reported stolen every night. When I informed the bartenders/bouncers, their response was “Oh yeah that happens a lot here.” They were rude, dismissive, and did nothing to help my situation. I tried calling the next few days to check the lost and found, however, no answer. Avoid this place. There are far better bars/clubs with tighter security across LA.

Experienced some pretty horrible employee harassment here a few years ago, but never wrote a review. It still shakes me up and after seeing from reviews that it’s maybe gotten worse, just thought I’d add my two cents. My friend and I came here for a drink after dinner. A little before closing, we got in line for the bathroom. We were last in line with probably 10 people ahead of us and it was a single stall bathroom so by the time we got in, the bar had already closed. While in the bathroom, my friend had a safety pin holding her body suit together and it came undone and got caught in a precarious way that was pinching her and we were trying to fix it. No more than a minute after we entered, there was banging on the door. I yelled “just a minute!” which led to more banging and then the sound of multiple people yelling and hitting the door. I assumed it was a bouncer and opened the door to explain and was met by 10 male employees yelling, laughing, and mocking us. They told me if I needed help to “call an ambulance” and that my friend and I were just “dumb drunk white girls” - which was also an assumption because we weren’t drunk and my friend wasn’t white, but regardless was inappropriate. ALSO…even if we were drunk, sorry we purchased so much alcohol from you? We closed the door and the banging and yelling continued. We were stressed and panicked, which made getting the pin untangled from the fabric even harder. Two female workers who I guess took pity on us, pretty much pushed their way in to help and saw my friend undressed without her consent. They rolled their eyes at us when they saw the issue, but they ALSO had trouble getting the pin off. Finally we did and as we exited the bathroom and then the bar, the workers followed us, yelling, calling us names, and laughing at us. My friend and I started to cry, totally overwhelmed and humiliated - it honestly felt like shame walk from GOT and had I not been tipsy and still in my twenties, probably could have laughed at how insane it was. But at the time, I felt vulnerable and honestly pretty scared at how aggressive this group of men were being. They almost seemed giddy to be making fun of us, egging each other on, and it felt like this was something they’d probably done before - targeted the last few women at the bar when no one could see, just because they could. We tried to tell the manager at the door outside what happened, but he looked at us blank faced and said he didn’t know what workers these were and eventually turned and left us crying outside. I will never in a million years step back in this place and don’t recommend any women or queer people do either. Don’t remember if the drinks were good but those probably sucked too!!

My friend also got her phone stolen the week before, it is unacceptable for a nightclub to have such a poor service regarding any theft. I don't recommend anyone to go in this club if you want to keep your phone.

A bouncer (probably Chris Miller, based on how often that name comes up in reviews) threatened to “put me in the pavement” and “embarrass me in front of my girlfriend” when I tried to calm down a tense interaction involving my friend, which he initiated. I stayed calm and non confrontational. He kept escalating anyway. We left immediately. I will not be returning as long as he works there.

The Victorian was highly discriminatory. The security was very subjective about who they allowed and clearly demonstrated highly discriminatory behavior. I was hesitant about going to this venue to begin with but now I am certain this is a venue I never wish to attend and anyone who values any sliver of moral integrity or taste would not attend any event or event held by this venue.
