SEASONAL REVIEW This was such a fun experience! The decor for Christmas in here is so nice. But the food is so worth it and good. The pupu platter was a nice way to try everything- but next time we will just get individual appetizers, especially the “Christmas ham”. We loved getting to see all the fun drinks you could order- it shows you the cups and you can choose based on cup or cocktail- the drinks were very strong. The bibimbap is so good!! Would definitely recommend. The steak and fries is also really great. The poke and the chicken bao can be nice to share or good meals. Would love to come back again during the holidays but also just during the year.

I'm not a Xmas person at all but I had some friends that wanted to go there,. We sat out back even though it was raining and cold it felt great with the heaters and dry. The food was good and the drinks were poured perfect with a slight heavy hand just how I like them. The Xmas theme was awesome!

Sipping Santa event- This was so beautifully decorated! I worked at a Christmas event in Napa Valley for 15 years and my standards for décor are high. I didn’t think I could be that impressed! I came on a Saturday night and all I can say is MAKE A RESERVATION! The hostess had a line of walk-in’s and that wait was over 40 minutes. The service was extremely friendly, the food came out quickly. The drinks seemed to be backed up. Our server apologized about the wait on the bar. My group tried 4 different drinks off the special menu, and they were super tasty. Food tasted great and was presented nicely. I was a little bummed that they didn’t have any of the little swizzle sticks left but it’s really not a big deal.. I just collect swizzles. I ended up purchasing a MerSanta mug. Lastly, the to- go containers are nice! It seems kind of weird to mention but they provide a very sturdy container that seems like it’s biodegradable.

December 2023: Enjoyed a Prix fixe dinner on New Year's Eve. Started out with the egg with brioche. The egg was nice and delicate with a yolk that delicately oozed over the brioche. Second starter was the Ahi tuna with caramelized banana, black beans and chili oil. Amazingly, everything went very well together. I hadn't tried caramelized bananas before and I was surprised by how well the ingredients worked together. Great dish! I had the short ribs for my entree. Solid dish. Beef was cooked perfectly and the meat was very tender and flavorful. For dessert, shared the Thai iced tea pudding and the cake 🍰. Both were delicious. The pudding was unusual and was very rich. The cake was executed exceptionally well! Very light and balanced. Would definitely come back again for more delicious food!

My family with a toddler had a fantastic time at this resort. It was clean, tastefully designed and fun. The heated pools and ample amenities gave us a relaxing experience. The restaurant serves good food as-well. We the spicy chicken Bao and it blew our minds.

It’s been a few years since our last visit and now that we came for lunch we were blown away by the great remodel, food amazing by Chef Chris, drinks outstanding, and the service is first class (thank you Ari) a must place to visit for locals and tourists. Great Korean menu from chef Susan Kim…fried chicken is out of this world!!!

I’m not sure any other places that serve baos like these, the pork belly bao were very delicious with the kimchi slaw. They were 4 each during happy hour (sun-thur 4-6), the kids meal rice chicken and broccoli was good but someone forgot the fruit, smashin burger was good. The kim-cheese fries were good. Juliana was a nice server. The restaurant was clean and had a nice ambiance.

Wow!! What a perfect place to enjoy this heatwave sitting next to the pool and served by the fabulous Shannon! The cocktails were on point, beautiful and so yummy. Same with the delicious food! We will be back!!!!

Visiting Santa Rosa, the Lazeaway Club at the Flamingo is a must-do for dinner. Sitting poolside having craft cocktails and dining on Cali-Asian cuisine feels like an exotic getaway. The menu has been revamped towards small plates and more choices. We enjoyed vegetarian sliders, delightfully crunchy shrimp tacos and a dish that was curiously called "shaved winter vegetables.". This turned out to be a kale salad with fresh and tender kale leaves, thinly slices carrot and turnip, and an amazing pumpkin seed purée. All was top notch and fresh. The cocktail menu has also been improved, though we ordered off the comprehensive wine list. Service is enthusiastic and friendly. The entire experience is relaxed and pleasurable. They have improved an already great experience so I am now rating 5 stars.

Pretty busy Friday evening as a big weekend event at the hotel just starting which made the service slow, although very friendly & attentive when available. Very fresh & well prepared food. Creative desserts. $25 corkage fee.

I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. Usually hotels have a subpar restaurant, but not this one. It tasted good and my Indian palate approves the mild spiced cuisines. Especially given my vegetarian diet, it was good to have a few options on the menu. I would recommend the harvest sliders.

Wonderfully cherry atmosphere. A lil Vegas level decorated lounge tucked in here in Santa Rosa

The food was very good.... Avocado Banchan, scallion pancakes (crispy), ahi poke. All was very good. Service was friendly and attentive. We are poolside. The pool was busy but not overly noisy. We had the fancy non alcoholic drinks, a little pricey, very refreshing. The pineapple upside down cake was very very good.... Not dry, caramel sauce and ice cream.

I haven't been here for a meal in a few years and was intrigued when I read the news of the revamping and new ownership of the restaurant. We had lunch on Friday in December and were impressed with the new look, service and flavors of the food. The menu wasn't overwhelmingly huge but there was something for all tastes and dietary restrictions. The layout of the dining room was roomy and inviting and the outdoor seating overlooking the pool was also roomy with large covered areas. I will definitely return soon and look forward to dining on the patio when the warm weather returns as well. By the way, the place was decorated to the hilt for the holidays with a kitschy island twist.

Great meal, ambiance, and quick service. Showed up on a Saturday evening, seated immediately. Drinks in hand, and order in moments later. Menu is a bit limited, but has a good selection of delicious plates. The workers were moving fast and enjoying their jobs. One of the managers, Joe, noticed that my drink had leaked out, he hooked me and the wife up. Inside and outside seating. "Shaken Steak frites" was delicious. Casual or fancy pants dinning.

Love the restaurant. Cool vibe, great food and cocktails, kid friendly. My only “ con” is that they regularly run out of things on the menu so I wish they prepped more for the day’s service.

This is a nice restaurant to eat at as far as the atmosphere and the presentation. The menu was not as enjoyable as it could have been. It was mentioned that it was just updated, but I'm glad they had calamari as a food choice. The drinks were good also and service was very professional and friendly.

I came here with my family and was so pleased with the service. My server was Trish and she did amazing. She got our food out quickly, refills on time and was so friendly. I will definitely be coming back!

What a beautiful restaurant! Probably the most dog friendly place we have have ever been as well. Food and drinks were spot on, service was even better. Awesome outdoor seating for sunny days and warm nights. We were staying at the hotel and had dinner and brunch this morning. Will be back just for the restaurant in the future.

What a positive surprise. We were staying at the hotel and decided to dine there for convenience. The food was delicious and service was kind. Highly recommended the mushroom appetizer, prawn tacos and the caesar salad

We live in Santa Rosa and decided to spend Valentine’s Day dining at Lazeaway Cafe. We were greeted by Rae, and taken to a table near the bar that overlooked the pool. The vibe was relaxed and fun. Our server, Marina, was prompt, kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and fun. She was patient with our questions and always available when we needed her. We had (my apologies because I can’t find the current menu online or I’m in any recent review photos) a starter of potatoes with a peanut sauce, fried rice, and a tender spicy chicken dish that came with two dipping sauces. We enjoyed all of them. This is our second visit together to Lazeaway and we were pleased to have such a wonderful Valentine’s Day experience!

About five of us went for drinks and snacks here, and Binny was absolutely amazing! He took the BEST care of us, gave us amazing tips, and we will absolutely be coming back because of him. The hot cocoa is delicious and we love the mugs and cups. It's a bit cliche and silly, but in the best possible way!

We had a group of 8 on the patio last night with Jordan as our server. He was incredibly fabulous - from his sincere and kind personality, to flexibility with ordering, to responding to our needs throughout the evening. What a kind and professional member of your staff. In addition to the fantastic food and drinks and atmosphere, he made the evening really special.

Flamingo Lazyway Club: A relaxed, tropical-themed spot perfect for unwinding with friends. The atmosphere is laid-back with vibrant decor and comfortable seating. The menu offers a solid mix of cocktails, light bites, and classic bar fare. Drinks are well-crafted, especially their signature tropical cocktails. Service is friendly and attentive, adding to the chill vibe. Great for casual hangouts or after-work drinks.

If I lived in Santa Rosa I would immediately sign up and become a member here. Total 1950s feel with excellent service from the entire staff. What a great place!

Cool retro vibe. No wait and the staff were friendly. I ordered the curry which was not very temperature hot but very very spicy. My husband ordered the beef bowl with an egg and it was very good and I was very jealous.

Surprisingly good restaurant inside a resort with reasonable prices and good vegetarian choices. I spent $22, tip included, for a sticky rice, sweet and spicy tofu dish. Kids approved of the fries. Expect lots of kids. Good assortment of meat dishes too. I met some nice people who didn't like that the menu was not fully informative. For example, my tofu included snow peas. If you care, ask the staff, they are very helpful, even when swamped. The bibinbop is said to be great; I'll try it on a meat day. The host and the waiter were both working hard and going out of their way for people.

The venue is beautiful and fun. As a local, this is a good spot to “get away”. I’ve been twice in the past three months, and both times I have been impressed at how horrible the service is. The food and drinks are tasty and fun, if they ever make it to your table. I went for dinner with my entire family, and they forgot to take our order, then toward the end of the meal my husband ordered a second beer, which never arrived. Our waiter disappeared. We finished our meal, and never got the beer or check. When he came back from his break he gave us the check with the beer charge on it. Turns out the tickets were printing at the bar, and just flying onto the floor, so many people did not get their drinks. Fast forward a few months later, I visited with a friend for lunch and drinks. Our cocktail and water glasses went dry without anyone checking on us, even though we were one of only three occupied tables in the entire place. We had to go directly to the bar for more drinks. Then, apparently the kitchen closed and our waiter left, but we weren’t notified until a bus boy brought us our check. A warning would’ve been nice. With so many great options for restaurants and bars in Santa Rosa they should step up their game. I will go again, but only because the venue is fun and the drinks are good, and I know finding good staff right now is difficult. I’m just hoping they figure it out soon. Update: I visited once again, took a friend for lunch and drinks, despite the poor service in the past I just can’t stay away. We had a lovely time. Everything came out promptly, and tasted wonderful. There weren’t many people there at noon on a Friday, it was so relaxing, quiet, fun and festive, great food and drinks, and our server (different from past visits) was much more attentive. This was my friend’s first visit, and she was very pleasantly surprised and will likely return with more newbies. It just seems that perhaps the staff may need more training. I also appreciate the reply from the owner, it gives me the impression that they want to improve and make it a great experience for all their guests. And I can certainly support that business model.

A beautiful space with a vacation/party vibe, at least on Friday night! Food was good if not excellent; our favorite among the apps was the brussels sprouts. Extensive California wine list and many gluten-free options, clearly labeled on the menu, which was appreciated. Bar service was very slow; granted it was Friday night at peak time. Our server, Rae(?), was a delight!

Food was good and service was friendly. Food and drinks were pretty slow to come out. It took 50 minutes to get an appetizer and and hour twenty to get the main. My beer took about twenty minutes. I wasn’t in a rush and just enjoyed the night, but I wasn’t planning on it taking so long and if I had other plans, it would have been a problem. The menu has good variety and the food is fresh and flavorful. Worth checking out, just make sure you have time.

It's an interesting place. It looks like something out of the 70's. We only ate at the restaurant so I know nothing about the hotel; however, there were a lot of people out by and in the pool area. We sat semi-close to the pool, but not close enough for it to be an annoyance. The food was sub-par, putting it nicely. We did like the salmon but that was it. For me, not my type of place. I will say though, it is something to experience. Won't be going back myself.

We went for brunch on Sat at 10am. There were only 2 tables with patrons when we arrived. The service was super slow! We had to keep asking for things that usually are available without asking, like more coffee, salt and pepper. When coffee came, only half of the people at the table had their cups refilled. It seems odd that there were several employees working yet the service was bad. Food was very average. Not a lot of flavor or flare...hence the salt & pepper. The best thing on the plate was country potatoes. They have done such a great job of refacing the hotel and adding updated services, they just need to redo the menu.

The vibe is great but the service was so slow and food was meh. Other places to go for great food and service in Sonoma county.

Food read better than they taste at this fusion restaurant. We came for happy hour in mid September after hearing rave reviews. Kimchi fries was overly greasy and lacked distinct kimchi flavor. Cold noodles with grilled tofu was bland. Tofu was not marinated, nor grilled. Our server was friendly and attentive. Order a mock cocktail, which came fully alcoholic. We were comped for the drink. Sitting area by the pool side was wonderful. Would return for the pool in summer. Likely order burgers and stay off fusion menu items.

Pretty good food. Pretty good staff. The place is too loud. Customers screaming over each other

Brussel sprouts were amazing! I also ordered one of their non-alcoholic drinks (tammy) and I loved it. I did not enjoy my steak and potatoes. The potatoes had a fridge taste and my steak was dry. The place is beautiful but the food didn’t do it for me.

Staying at the Flamingo. Came for Saturday Brunch. Took nearly 10 minutes for someone to seat me. As a party of one I sat at the Bar. The bartender (first day working there) took my drink order right away but then it took another 10 minutes for someone else to take my breakfast order and then only after I asked for someone to help me! No apology - just “Oh yeah, I can help you with that.” ANOTHER person then had to take my coffee order as the new bartender did not know how to make coffee. I asked for a mocha - they stated they could not make a mocha but that they could do a vanilla latte. I ordered one but then was told they did not have vanilla syrup and the only milk options available were whole milk and oat milk. Food took awhile to come out but it was fairly decent. The service however is just deplorable in its ineptness. Half a dozen people working behind the bar and no one knows what they’re doing. Friendly but disorganized and seemingly untrained. For a 4 star hotel and only one restaurant - the Flamingo needs to do a lot better especially for their price point. Very disappointed. Could have saved a lot more money and walked across the street to the IHOP. I gave two stars because the food was decent and when helped the staff was friendly. Otherwise I would have given a one star review.

Really nice food by Amanda Kuntee Maneesilassan- just terrible service. For a table for 3, at 7pm on a Saturday evening, we expected normal service. 1. Took a long time and a reminder for a wine list. 2. One persons starter and main arrived before anything else for anyone (we picked at that for 10 mins). 3. The service completely missed one persons starter and didn’t have any idea about it just til we mentioned it. 4. Our 5yr old daughter was given some very spicy chilies with her rice (which arrived last and 15 mins after everything else!). Such a shame, food was very nice but the front of house let it all down.

I have never been made felt so unwelcome in a place ever. From the first point of contact to having almost someone care about whether I was there or not. Completely unacceptable.

A

I’ve had better food at a gas station. Overpriced, bland food. Atmosphere so loud you feel like you’re in a late night dive bar. Service..absolutely nonexistent. The place has s GREAT marketing department..advertising a Michelin-starred chef pop-up..the only thing Michelin about this place were my tires peeling out of the parking lot hoping never to be made to go back. Consider yourself warned. Simply AWFUL, an embarrassment to Santa Rosa.

We were here for a 21+ ticketed event with some friends. I purchased a friends ticket, and we had agreed my friends would cover 1 or 2 drinks for the night. When we first arrived, I joked to my friend while we were ordering, "First round is on you because of tickets, remember?" - no big deal. We ordered a few (honestly, pretty mediocre) drinks, sat down, and enjoyed a great cover band that played music I grew up with. The atmosphere was fun, people were dancing, and we met and chatted with a few friendly folks near the bar and nearby tables. Most people were definitely buzzed, some outright drunk. It's a 21+ event, after all. It was a fun time. The problem? I was ''cut off'' after only 2.5 drinks, as one had accidentally spilled. When I went to order another after dancing with a friend, I raised my hand in a silly, playful way and smiled while ordering. Apparently, that was enough for the bartender, an older white woman (Ellen, I believe her name was), to decide I'd had "too much." She seemed to think other people were buying me drinks, which wasn't true, only my husband and friend did. She could have easily confirmed that with me or with whoever she thought was buying the drinks, but instead, she relied solely on her own incorrect judgment. I was definitely not drunk or behaving inappropriately. Meanwhile, there were people around us who were visibly intoxicated; slurring, stumbling, and clearly having a good time. They kept getting served without issue. One particularly drunk man made one of my friends uncomfortable, yet nothing was said to him. The difference? He was an older white guy, while I am a person of color. What really got me was when a bouncer pulled me aside to check my ID AFTER I had already been at the event for hours. I had walked past him multiple times that night, as I had gone to the bathroom or just stepped outside with friends. I wasn't carded when I first entered, and clearly my age had not been an issue until that moment - because you know, It was a ticketed 21+ event. I had, as stated above, even ordered a drink when we first arrived. Being told I'd be kicked out if I was seen with another drink, despite being calm, respectful, and coherent, felt humiliating and unfair. No one else was pulled aside, yet anyone with eyes witnessed plenty of people who were clearly less than sober, if you know what I mean. I understand the importance of responsible alcohol service, but the inconsistency and bias in how it was enforced here was obvious. It is disappointing when a place that's supposed to be about fun and music lets staff's assumptions ruin someone's night. It felt less like "safety" and more like a snap judgment and doubling down on an assumption.

Walk in where all the foods stored is covered in mold and meat blood defrosting on all products. Major health violations going on here. Which sucks cuz I used to love this place. DO NOT EAT HERE.
