Amazing! The portions are enormous, the food is tasty. They are wicked fast. The salsa is out of this world. My new favorite
Hand down the best place for a simple burrito. I’ve been coming back to this restaurant for 6+ years just because they’re respectful and the food is amazing
My girls and I love this place. We've been regulars since 2002! Great food, fun little place, and the people are always friendly!
Absolutely one of my most favorite restaurants in town. Everything ive had here has been great.
Delicious food. Great flavor. Huge menu. Nice staff. Highly recommended. A favorite spot. Yum
Defiantly not the friendliest and have never sat in to eat. If u can get passed that and take-out, you'll receive a well filled burrito and a super burrito with quac/ sour cream ALL the way through. I live down the street and will not go anywhere else.
This place is inexpensive, with great food, and large helpings. The staff is friendly and the food comes out fast. Do not try to call at lunch. I once sat on hold for 10 minutes before just hanging up. Just show up though. The wait has never been more than 15 minutes, and I've never been disappointed in the year I've been ordering here.
Fantastic Carne Asada Tacos and Burritos. While I saw the complaints about service what do you expect with 2 people running the place. The food is reasonably priced and I would gladly do with less service to keep the prices low. I love Mexican food and this is some of the best in Santa Rosa. Considering I lived for a year near East Los Angeles, thats a big complement.
When I don’t feel like cooking, this is my go to place. Hands down My favorite Mexican restaurant for burritos (carne asada), quesadillas and tortas in town. I should know, I’m Mexican that cooks Mexican. I haven’t really tried much else on the menu which I’m sure is delicious. I just like what I like.
I have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in and Santa Rosa and this is my new favorite was it has the best flavor the beans and rice are magnificent little carnitas burrito was excellent the sauces fresh even the chips were good and I don't even like chips chips
I'm in love with Ochoa's taquitos! When I need to indulge and treat myself (at least once a week!) with food, I enjoy the yummy heaping mounds of sour cream, quacamole, salsa, shreaded cheese and lettuce with my 5 beef taquitos (it is heaven!). Thanks, Ochoa's! You dish out great food for a great price!
Food is always fresh and ready for pick up when they say your order will be ready. Great customer service.
The best carnitas in Santa Rosa (stewed with tomatoes and onions instead of fried). Great prices and fast service. I eat here almost every week.
Fortuitous find! This hole in the wall far exceeds its facade with fantastic fresh food and excellent service! Soo good!!! Reasonable prices too. My partner literally gasped with exclaimation, "wow!" when served the El Pastor Tostada. Tho not very hungry when we went for dinner, he finished every morsel! I devoured my El Pastor combo plate, taco & enchilada, never before taking home leftover beans & rice. The only thing to 'fix' would be to have non-commercial music playing. The music was good, but it was funny when a diaper comercial came on at dinner. But really, the bummer is we live 150 miles away. If you live close to Ochoa's, you are lucky!
Super friendly lady when ordering food. Mellow place with great Mexican food going on 26 years! Loved my Veggie Burrito. Thank you!
I got the Ochoa' Special burrito. It has veggies and grilled chicken! Big burritos for a great price and so yummy! Will definitely come and try their other food.

Very good food.
I ordered a chicken super burrito and it was amazing!! The bathroom was exceptional. The service, devine. Great restaurant.
"Excellent food and service! Every dish has that homemade flavor that reminds me of my grandmother's cuisine. The portions are generous, the prices are fair and the staff are very friendly. I always return for their tacos al pastor and fresh waters. I'm highly recommended!"
This is the best Mexican restaurant in Santa Rosa . Walking in, I knew the smell was real authentic Mexican food. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are by far on target for anybody. Enjoy it. I know I do.
This is the best place to get melt in your mouth Baja Style fish tacos. Grilled to perfection, generous in portion, and the chipotle sauce is a killer. Chips, beans, cheese and rice are always fresh and their salsas are addictive. Have had their Chile relleno and carnitas--delish! Both restaurants (one in Sebastopol, one in SRosa) are always clean, and both have a welcoming appeal. I live almost 45 minutes away from both locations but when I have a hankering for fish tacos, this is where I go.
Amazing authentic food with huge portions, just like the photos on Google. Atmosphere is so calming and cozy, and the music is great. I've never had better Chile Verde in my life. Staff is sweet too. Love this place!
I ordered a California burrito with chorizo instead of steak. They were happy to accommodate and also made sure I knew the chorizo would be a different texture than most of the other meats. I order chorizo all the time but since they have the translation (pork sausage) on the menu, I thought this was really nice as it could be helpful for folks who haven’t had chorizo. All of the staff were super friendly. The burrito was one of the best I’ve ever had. I also loved the Jamaica, which wasn’t over sweetened like many other places. Overall fabulous experience!
Best food in county. Flan stands on its own merits with hint of orange baked into it crispy tacos outstanding. Beans excellent. Cute friendly place with nice music. Prices are great and amount of food huge. Polite friendly staff. Very clean.
I’ve been going here for almost two decades. Very consistent and good. I get the shredded chicken burrito, also the carne asada quesadilla with sour cream (if drained) is delicious.
The best breakfast burrito I've had in a long time. I want to branch out, but it's just too good.

The place is great! It's a small compact place that makes you feel that classic Mexican restaurant feel. The food is great, I highly recommend any burrito they serve the tacos are everything you want them to be. Great selection of items. For the love of everything that is good, go here now!!!
Been going here over a decade. Their quality has done up and down over the years. Same with their staff. I tried it today after not being here for over 2 years and food was ok, I’d say above average. Hostess was nice. I’d go back
Great-tasting food for a good price, though the service and attitude are very uneven. Sometimes you'll get one of the women who pay attention to your order and bring it to your table with a smile, and sometimes you'll get a grumpy-looking lady who will, in whatever way possible, mess up your order (by writing the wrong item down, or making it a "to go" order when you ordered it for dining in). I'm not saying she does that on purpose; she most likely just isn't paying attention. You just have to be vigilant and be ready to correct what she writes down when she takes your order. But I don't go for the service or the attitude; I go for the tasty, tasty food. The carnitas taco is crammed with meat and covered in cilantro; squeeze lime over it and you have heaven on a plate. Their carne asada tacos are also delicious. Their taquitos were a revelation to me--I never knew taquitos were supposed to taste that good. Their burritos are good, though not spectacular--I prefer Los Arcos' burritos. I'm not sure how Ochoa's quesadilla qualifies as a quesadilla and not a huge, flat burrito, but it is tasty. All in all, Ochoa's is an excellent place to dine if you are on a budget and you want your dollars to provide lots of good-tasting food.
They serve great Mexican food. Usually pick up dinner once or twice a month. The help is very nice and helpful. Fixes my Mexican cravings and I don't have to cook.
their chili reyeno burrito is AWESOME. You can also get it with whole wheat tortilla if you like and they will throw in raw or grilled garlic if you want too! Yum!
Ochoa's is a must on our Taco Tuesday routine and even on other nights when we feel like really good food at a decent price. I get Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos, and sometimes I'll get an Asada burrito. Both meats are well seasoned and simmered to a perfect tenderness. The tacos are a really big and full of meat and cilantro. Extremely flavorful, they come with really good grilled onions and jalapeños, a perfect addition that a lot of other restaurants overlook. Ochoa's is a great little place, even better because its walking distance and we'll continue to go back and support good food and a small business. me and my son went here a few weeks ago and he enjoyed it very much🙂 he said he felt comfortable. this will be our new go to for lunch. went today and yuck nothing like it was b4 the rice was from yesterday and meat was heated up from yesterday. not good such a bummer
grilled chicken burrito was ok. 6 out 10 not the worst but the best. Had pieces of bell pepper in it and it didn't seem to be layered very well like everything was put in a bowl mixed together and put in the tortilla. The chips were slightly stale and not homemade plus they only give you a small handfull. The salsa verde was good the salsa roja was tomatoey and had lots of dried oregano. Both had the same amount of spice as well. On to the next burrito.
I had asked for shredded chicken tacos, I received carne asada. No one checked on me or my experience. The taco shell was your basic store brand, flavorless, dry... I had hoped for a deep fried tortilla shell, but nope. The carne asada is waaaaaay too salty and literally not edible. I did not finish either taco. They were very generous with the sour cream, the salsa is spicy and delicious. But overall, not impressed.

I've eaten here multiple times out of necessity and consistently have had poor customer service. This most recent experience was no different so I just walked out. La neta que si se pasa la señora con ese pinche genio. Felt like I was inconveniencing them with my presence.
I stopped by the taqueria recently, and while the food was decent, I have to say the service was disappointing. It was my first and last time going here. The cashier with red hair was dismissive and unwelcoming—no greeting, no thank you, no acknowledgment at all. It felt like I was just being processed instead of treated like a customer. A simple hello or a thank you goes a long way, especially in a small restaurant setting. I hope they can work on providing a more polite and welcoming experience.
Second time here, because I respect their guacamole. I don't know if it was 'cos I'm white, but they charged me a dollar more than the advertised price on the menu. An argument ensued: "you can't do that!" Such bad vibes at one little place. The guacamole was great.
I had chile verde and it was very sour. I felt bad cause I only had 2 bites and brought it home to toss out. My friend had a burrito that was just ok. Friendly staff, not your regular Mexican food.

I really hate to rate this place at one star because I love it! But right now I am so extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. I have been a regular customer here for at least 15 years possibly more. However due to a short term special diet that I am on I need to watch very carefully what and how much I eat for awhile. My family and I are accustomed to eating here at least once a week. I didn't want to stop. So I called them and very nicely stated that I needed some information on the quantity of ingredients they used because of this special diet I am on. I said I know you are probably too busy now but could I call back like five or ten minutes before closing when they are not so busy to ask some questions. I was very specifically told by the woman on the phone, "no because we are ALWAYS busy." But then she said, "maybe I can help you now." When I started asking questions she proceeded to hang up on me. Wow, I realize she didn't even know who I was and most likely didn't realize we are a family that spends thirty plus dollars a week in there. Regardless it really shouldn't matter if I was a regular customer or someone new that could have become a long time customer such as myself. I won't be back. It's out of our way anyway. I only kept going there out of loyalty and we liked the food. Instead I will go to and recommend the rest of my family and friends go to Los Arcos in Marlow Shopping Center. They are just as good and in fact actually have bigger super burritos than Ochoa's.
I ordered refried beans to go which cost $8. (You can buy them cheaper at other restaurants) and when I asked for a bag of chips they acted like they didn't want to give me any. They finally did but the bag of chips was extremely small. I let them know how I felt as a customer and told them I would never be back!
Five of us went for lunch today. The woman who took our order was incredibly rude. She refused a very polite request to lower the loud music for hearing impaired guests, saying she was "too busy". Two of us ordered the same thing: a chili relleno with a side of beans, One got two rellenos plus refried beans. The other got whole beans and a puddle of sauce but no relleno. Another dish contained meat that was so dried out it was brittle. I hope this was just a really bad day for a normally good place but we won't be going back to find out.
I used to enjoy this place until they accused my girlfriend of attempting to steal money from their tip jar when she went to retrieve the tip she left since the lady didn't accept her card and scolded her for it. The food is good but I can't support a place that makes you feel bad for making an honest mistake. My girlfriend didn't even bother retrieving the $4.00 she left for a tip in their jar after that. Hopefully it is only the older lady at the cash register that is/was a problem and the rest of the staff is nice for those that have decided to give this place a try.
Honestly, they don't even deserve one star. Awful attitudes I am surprised they are still in business. The woman who took the order was grumpy from the get-go. Came time to pay, gave tip in jar and handed over my card. As I handed it to her, I mentioned that the card is old and the magnetic strip is bad (you have to swipe it slow, otherwise it declines the card). The card declined two times because she did NOT listen to me--promptly made me feel like a dead beat in front of several other customers. Canceled my order, and when I went to get back my tip, I was made out to be a thief! I have never been so humiliated! Awful--will NEVER be back!
The food here is bland and they got my order wrong big time. I really don't know how they got my order wrong. My wife said her food had no flavor either. Definitely not the great food all these other reviews talk about.
This place used to be much better. Got the carne asada nachos today and it tasted like the meat was cooked a few days earlier and left out. Dry and bland overall. Salsa was tasty tho. Don’t think I’ll be coming back here any more.
The customer service was terrible the girl at the front counter had a super bad attitude I walked into their restaurant and I asked them if my 5yr old son can use their restroom they first lied to me and said someone was in there then i said i can wait because there wasn't anyone in the restaurant then the girl at the counter said well the restroom is only for paying customers but what she didn't know is as soon as i was done shopping next door i was going to go purchase some at their restaurant because I love mexican food and if it was good i would have recommended it to others if anyone is that heartless to have a 5yr old potty on themselves over a little bit of money does not deserve anyone business.
I’ll start with the food. It was okay. No way worth the amount of money they are charging for it, but it’s edible. The restaurant itself, boiling hot! How can I trust a restaurant that is that hot in the dining area, this means it’s way hotter in the kitchen. Sweat and uncleanliness around the food, no thank you. And last, but worst. The service was so bad. The lady was rude. She didn’t smile at all or say thank you. We were very polite, and all she gave us was negative attitude. No thank you. Never again. I do not recommend this place. I’d rather eat at Starbucks across the parking lot.
Firstly, the food is AMAZING. My family and I eat here regularly, and have been for the last few years. We usually get takeout and there is no issue. However, today was the first time we've sat down inside. The woman at the counter was ridiculously rude. My daughter was ordering and the woman's blank, grimaced face and impatience made my 10- year- old daughter think she was doing something wrong. So, she gave up and didn't want to order anything! The entire time we were there My daughter was uncomfortable and disturbed. (I'm not bother by salty attitudes, I thrive in them) but for my daughter to feel unwelcome in a place because... of what? I don't know. But we won't be going back. Which is sad because we love their burritos but hate the way we will be treated.
Rude service; wanted to charge me Ann extra $3.95 per taco to ad lettuce and cheese. Meat was burned on the grill dry and gloveless. sloppy presentation no napkins a very small amount of chips. These people dont make good food. Rude and dismissive. Not pleasant
