On par price point for a hearty, filling meal made with what seems to be quality ingredients. Haven't tried the takeout but I'm positive it's just as great. The tables are constantly kept clean and the environment isn't too loud. My new favorite joint for a whick bite near home.
I love Raku Ramen because the food is always high quality, fresh, and flavorful. Every dish is consistently well-prepared, ensuring a delicious experience every time. The rich, savory broths, perfectly cooked noodles, and thoughtfully crafted toppings make each bowl satisfying and comforting. Whether it’s a quick meal or a sit-down dinner, Raku Ramen never disappoints.
The food is spectacular! All the dishes they make are fantastic, The service is great there they give off such a good vibe and have good music taste! Although it's expensive, but it is Worth it! They keep a tidy place! I would go there again!
Delicious abd fresh food. Portions are very large.
Food was ok but expected more flavor.
Describably delicious! We had one Rice Bowl and one Noodle Bowl. Both were very tasty. Ask for their house- made hot sauce. 🔥, but not too 🔥. For another tasty treat, ask for side fried egg for either dish. They know how to cook it!
I love the menu here, hard to decide between sushi options and ramen. You order at the front and clear your own table. The space is fairly small but nice.
It was our first time here, and it was great. My husband ordered the California rolls and loved them - they were made fresh with real crab. I had the cold noodle salad, which I highly recommend. It has so many delicious ingredients and is so refreshing. We'll definitely be back.
Came here with four teenager piano students of mine.
Raku Ramen & Roll is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The highlight of my visit was their ramen and the Dragon Roll, both of which were nothing less than perfect. The Complex flavors of the ramen coated my taste buds and sent them on a euphoric journey of flavor. As for the Dragon Roll, it’s a masterpiece! The eel and avocado combination is buttery and melts in your mouth, while the sweet and savory eel sauce ties everything together beautifully. The presentation is stunning, and each bite bursts with flavor and texture. Service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure everything was perfect. Whether you’re a ramen lover, a sushi fan, or just looking for an excellent meal, Raku Ramen & Roll delivers in every way. Can’t wait to come back!
Got in around 340pm, place was basically empty. I was instantly greeted as I walked in. I looked at the menu ahead of time, so i had a good idea of what I wanted. The rice bowl, sushi rolls, and the Ramen, all phenomenal!! Once you are done, there is an area for you to leave your dishes/trash. An exceptional spot!
Ramen is relatively hard to find in this area, good Ramen especially, but i asked a friend who’s a fellow local foodie for his best suggestion and he sent me the link to this place, and frankly it’s great. Ramen is delicious, large portion, fair price, and delicious selection of different types of Ramen. Amazing, and I didn’t even need to drive to San Francisco for it. Even if this place is a little out of your way I’d definitely make the trip. I ordered my ramen to-go and it surpassed the quality i was expecting to-go. I had to put it in a mixing bowl because of the quantity of food they gave me. Summary? Great food, great price.
This is my first visit to Raku Ramen and I am happy to report that the food is amazing! I had the Japanese fried chicken bowl, the chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It came with kimchi which was a very tasty accompaniment. My wife had the spicy pork bowl, she is very picky about her ramen and was very happy with her food, a wonderful thing since I chose where we ate tonight. I highly recommend Raku Ramen and look for to eating here again very soon.
We love the concept of sushi and ramen. Our classic dish is the Roku Ramen but today we also tried the filet mignon special, the Roku sushi and the simple yet delicious Cali roll. Service excellent and always super clean
Delicious!!! Great service. Had the shoyu ramen. Grilled chicken was fresh and broccoli was fresh and not over cooked mush. Noodles were extra yummy, they are egg noodles. Also had a gluten free option but not my thing. Highly recommend.

Do you like perfectly cooked chicken teriyaki or karaage paired with scrumptious sauces and perfectly cooked rice? Do you enjoy super fresh sushi? How about a satisfying bowl of hearty ramen? Want some chili oil or sauce with that? Then this is the place for you. Everything I've had here has been en pointe. My go to is the mini karaage don or mini teriyaki don. The rainbow roll is also awesome. Staff is friendly. It's got a very casual vibe. Don't let that fool you. The food is amazing!
Just take out, rolls and udon, always good. Repeat customer.
Nice, cute, cozy place to have lunch. The dynamite sushi was the best; the rainbow and dragon rolls were delicious as well. The staff were friendly. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is that the Thai tea tasted burnt for some reason. I don't know if the Boba was burnt; it was also plain. Other than that, I would come back for more sushi.
A more traditional take on ramen and broth as opposed to the highly ranked gaijin in Sebastopol. This place is modestly decorated and tightly packed. The ramen is delicious and the portions are huge. The spicy ramen is good but needs work in being spicy with flavor as opposed to just being fire in your mouth. Either way, I really enjoyed the food here. The salad was also good, beverages were good. Again, do not come during typical lunch or dinner time as it will be really uncomfortable inside this tiny place but the food is good.
Raku is one of the unexpected finds in Santa Rosa's Montgomery Village. Rainy day + cold weather calls for a nice brothy soup, and ramen is the absolute best choice! It's an order and pay first before getting seated type of situation. The overhead menu seemed overwhelming, but the ramen choices were very clear to see. Weekly specials are handwritten next to the kitchen window. There's a self-serve water station along with the utensils and condiments. Take out containers are also available. Didn't take long get served the food items while enjoying the street and lot view from the window bar seats. The ramen itself was superb! Even though the presentation was very plain, the flavor of the tonkotsu broth was sublime, and the pork belly chashu was phenomenal! The ramen noodles definitely had the correct bounce and texture to it that would make all the slurping an experience. Always enjoy with a kimchi on the side so it wouldn't ruin the ramen flavor. Also get that chicken karaage! They do it correctly! Not sure if required, but it might be a bus your table after eating since there's a nook with collected serveware. No need to wipe the table though! This place does proper ramen and deserves a regular visit! 🍜🍜🍜
Delicious ramen! One of the better places in Sonoma county if you're in the mood for ramen. I had the Raku Ramen, broth was creamy and flavorful! Edit: I went back today and tried the spicy ramen and the spider roll. The ramen was still good! But wasn't a huge fan of the roll. I will still come here ramen in Sonoma county out of all the other options!

The Raku Ramen dish with Chicken Karaage was good, except the broth could've used a bit more seasoning. The Hawaiian roll was good too. Not bad overall.
Food was sub par and portions small for the gyoza. Ramen tasted nearly sodium free.
I'm a big ramen fan, so I was disappointed with my experience here. The broth lacked depth, and the noodles were overcooked. The boba was also subpar with a powdery texture. Given the abundance of ramen options out there, I wouldn't return, but I did like the location and the ambiance.
Very friendly staff, but non on them knew if the special they had that day had a vegan broth haha, they had to call the manager. Food was not tasty, didn’t taste like Raman whatsoever. The chicken teriyaki felt like it was per made and heated in a microwave or toaster oven. It was definitely not fried on to order. Portions are very generous and prices are reasonable. So if you’re hungry and want a lot of food but you aren’t picky about the flavor.
These place is very expensive for the quality of food you get. The seaweed salad was absolutely incredible! However the actual ramen....it lacked depth and actual flavor. Really disappointed for how much we paid, and for this place being one of the only ramen locations around.
Updating my review from 5 years ago which was 5 stars. Went in recently, and the front cashier was watching videos on his phone while trying to take our order. So unprofessional! Where is the good service these days. We were so annoyed we left and ate down the way... great food in the past.

Underwhelmed with my Raku Ramon today for lunch and it gave me a stomach ache. Friend had the chicken rice bowl which looked better. I tipped 15% for no service. Not sure we will return.

How am I supposed to eat this? Lol. I don't trust that paper box to be water tight and there's no room in the broth container for the ramen and veggies. I could pour out the broth and put the solids in, but then I wouldn't have the broth anymore. The tofu was bland and mushy. The "bubble" tea didn't have any bubbles (boba), just tea. And furthermore, there were no utensils! The ones pictured I had to get elsewhere. Update: I do NOT feel good after eating this. 🤢
Food was great, I was there for the soft opening and enjoyed the food. But today it changed, the service wasn't that good just because one of the servers was staring at My friends and I the whole time we were eating. This is unacceptable making my friends uncomfortable, I should've never recommended going to this restaurant with a worse server.
Only 2 Vegan options. One was Roll with Avocado and Cucumber. I did not try that. Wish I had. I got the Tofu and Vegetable Raman with God knows what type of broth. Not much tofu and only a few pieces of Broccoli. Absolutely tasteless. The little taste it had was not good. Threw it out! Such a waste of $17. Don't wish to be all negative but the only positives were the two young staff at the register. They were very nice and very helpful! Seating uncomfortable but get they are shooting for the ambiance! Sadly, will not be returning or recommending to coworkers or friends.
I was so excited to try this highly rated place because I love ramen!! However I was so disappointed and shocked at the quality of the ramen I ordered. I got the Raku Ramen, which the person at the front said was their most popular. The broth tasted watered down and bland, and same with the karaage chicken, it just had no flavor or very little flavor. I was so sad I couldn't even finish it. Maybe my experience was a fluke, maybe whoever made it was new and didn't get the recipe right or something. The place was full around 7pm so obviously they must be well liked. My food was just not good and frankly I won't come back. Also the high tables at the back were super gross because the sealant around the edges of the table was basically old and rotting and tons of old food was stuck in there. It was so gross we had to move tables. I really hope they address that because it's just disgusting.

It’s very unfortunate that I must express my grievances here, especially being that this is my first ever review, and the simple fact that is much rather take time to give a positive review, rather than the one that will follow here. This past week I purchased food at Raku Ramen for my family and I. To be exact I ordered 2 Shoyu Ramen, 1 Poké Don Bowl, 1 Rainbow Roll, 1 California Roll, and 1 Spicy Tuna Roll. I found Raku Ramen a couple months ago, and my initial experience was pleasant. Therefore I decided that it would be our go-to place for ramen. We also thought it would be good to support a local place during these times, hence our recent order, though we’ve scaled back on eating outside of our home. Fast forward to once again the recent order, which warrants this review/grievance. My family and I began with eating the Shoyu Ramen and Poke Bowl. Afterwards we became full, and decided to wait approximately an hour before indulging in the sushi. Keep in mind we had never opened any of the containers, which the sushi was prepared in for us. Approximately an hour after finishing the first part of the meal, I began to eat the Spicy Tuna Roll. I ate once piece... Then began to eat a second piece of the Spicy Tuna Roll. As I place the remainder of the second piece in my mouth, I notice on my finger what seemed to be eel or a sliced mushroom, and initially when to eat it off of my finger. Then instinctively thought/felt something was not good. It also dawned on me that I had not ordered eel nor anything with mushrooms. As I began to inspect this unknown piece of substance, it looked to me as it had an opening, mouth, or eye of some sort. In disbelief, as I prompted my wife something was wrong, i squeezed and pulled the object between my finger, at which point it began to move. I then threw in to the table, spit the food out of my mouth into the tray, followed by an f-bomb. To make matters worst, the damn thing continued to move while on the table. Actually to make matters worst, after further inspection, I realized that I had already eaten at least half of it, at the remainder of the body of what I had by now identified as a slug was still moving. If anyone reading this post knew me, you’d know I’m one of the most calm, collective, big hearted, most respectful person. I contacted the restaurant and expressed the aforementioned experience. I also placed emphasis on the fact that during these times, the last thing I want to do is give any establishment a review that would hurt business anymore than most have already experienced. I also cautioned the employee on the phone to not take my calm nature lightly, that I was indeed not happy, disgusted, and felt something should be done -and comp for my next meal or any meal there was obviously out of the question. The employee did not have much to say other than offer his apology and express that it all seemed horrific. He also reassured that Bill - the owner would contact me. I felt that was a given, as how could the owner not followup on this incident. I’ve eaten food in places all across the globe, and have never had such a foul experience. To add insult to injury, no word from the owner of Raku Ramen. The main reason for my review? I expressed to the employee that at this point, there was not much they could offer me, other than maybe free beer for a year (jokingly), though what I wanted to drive home to them was the importance of investigating internal so that no other incidents like this occur with future customers. Given the current times, pandemics, diseases, incidents like this are unacceptable. Incidents like this should have alway been unacceptable. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. P.S. Bill (Owner) I’m still waiting to hear from you. You have my contact info. I’m listed as M.J. in your customer database.
I was excited to find a new Ramen house. My gf and I love this type of food so I was excited to give it a try. I placed an order and got home only to find that my order was not only wrong, but undercooked. I ordered a dish with chicken (so I thought) only the order I opened had pork, undercooked pork to boot. I understand that miscommunications happen, but it was so disappointing. I happened to be in the area after work following this dinner catastrophe, so I stopped in. I wanted the manager to know what happened with my order bc I thought the undercooked pork could potentially be a general health concern. When I approached her with this news she was VERY defensive and questioned my patronage. It made sense why she'd ask for verification, so I provided her my receipt from my cc. Once my honesty was firmly established she vaulted right into mild hostility by aggressively explaining to me that's how pork is supposed to be cooked. Even if that's true (which I don't know that it is and dont wish to eat it that way for obvious safety reasons), I don't think customer service is supposed to be cooked that way. It has some fine tuning to do to be sure. She did issue me a 20 dollar credit. I was happy for that but won't be returning to this place to eat. Uncooked pork isn't something we've experienced before. Not uncooked like that. Pictures are included. was excited to find a new Ramen house. Needless to say, we won't be returning.
I don’t usually write reviews but this was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food quality is very poor considering the price ($80 for two) and both my boyfriend and I feel sick after eating the ramen. And we barely ate any of it, it was that bad. Very greasy. The sushi rolls and gyoza were nothing special. Wish I read the bad reviews before going because I wouldn’t have gone in the first place if I did.
Had a very disappointing experience here after seeing all the good reviews. I ordered the Spicy Miso Pork Ramen and added a soft boiled egg, also ordered the Dynamite and Roku Rolls. We sat down at the bar but moved because the window sills were disgustingly dirty with crumbs and dried up food. Got our ramen first and ate a soft boiled egg but surprised that it was cold. The pork belly was mostly fat and inedible, the quality of the noodles and vegetables seemed like canned food. The sushi wasn’t too bad but the deep fried roll made me feel sick. Overall very expensive for what felt like a fast food dining experience. I would recommend not going here and visiting one of the many other good ramen spots in town (miso good ramen is great).
So overrated, the Raku ramen tasted like straight meat oil, no flavor whatsoever. The pork was tough and dry even when soaked in broth. The sushi was the best thing they had but even then it was so underwhelming, and the avocado was brown and mushy. The crispy tuna was absolutely foul, tasted like dirty oil with a hint of spicy mayo. To top of the experience they were playing tik tok music. It hurt to walk out of there knowing that’s $75 I’ll never get back.

DONT RECOMMEND… Ordered a ramen bowl with pork belly. Came out super slow for being the only person in the restaurant. The pork belly was super hard like it was left over and heated up and thrown in a bowl. The hard boiled egg was ice cold so it shows it wasn’t fresh. The bowl barely had any food in it for being $19. It was all mostly bland broth. Take your money elsewhere wish I didn’t tip. Almost immediately after eating my stomach feels off and I didn’t even finish my bowl.
We were here once before, during Covid, so we did takeout. This time we thought we would come back and get a table inside. I ordered the steak ramen and my friend ordered the chicken and rice dish. They were both extremely tasty, but we were turned off to the unclean restaurant. Plus, we both got sick the next day and think it was the kitchen having a lot of bacteria. They need to do some serious cleaning. Until then, we’ll go to other ramen houses. We love ramen!
I'm pretty disappointed with Raku ramen and rolls right now it's kinda sad because they were one of my favorite ramen places to eat, I was there about almost a month ago with my family we ordered 3 Raku ramens with pork belly is what we always order my total was almost 70 dollars for 3 ramens and 3 drinks we basically got food poisoning from what we ate I called the next day to talk to a manager and was told there wasn't always a manager there because of them having multiple restaurants but that they would call me back but no call. Then I called back again like almost 2 weeks ago and was told the same thing but still no call back it's pretty disappointing that my family and I are frequent customers and they can't take a few minutes out of their day to at least call me back to address the issue I am an all-star contributor on two different foodie clubs in Sonoma county and I will be giving them a bad review on both I gave them almost a month to address the issue but apparently they don't care if their customers get food poisoning to even call me back, I will not be going back.

I provided her with receipts so she knew I was a paying customer. While I was calmly trying to tell her about the issue we had she just kept arguing and then accusing me of arguing with her! It was very frustrating and I didn't understand why she'd want customers to feel that way in her restaurant. In the end, she did issue me a 20 dollar credit. Getting there with her was a lot of work. Needless to say, we won't be returning.
