We love this location! The owner is such a genuinely kind person. His team is fantastic too.

Great staff and food. Took a group of developmentally-challenged students there for lunch in the community and it was a pleasant experience.

Only wish there were more del tacos in san diego. Being from riverside you can't throw a rock without hitting a del taco. There are what 6 in san diego county?

We leave be their cheeseburgers. The service was prompt and the food was prepared exactly as ordered. The personnel were friendly.

Fish tacos not bad at all. Del- beef is Great. Line moves somewhat quickly an thet offer " Senior Discount" .

Best Tex/Mex food is fresh and service is always top notch fast friendly and taco Tuesday can't be beat they have so many new items you could eat there every meal for a week and never order the same thing twice.

The staff really knows how to talk to people. Immediately when I walked in I was asked how my day was, then before even asking about food I asked about the bathroom very nicely the man showed me where it was at, outside mind u. Never coped an attitude and after I washed my hands, u see I ask for the bathroom to see what kind of people are working somewhere, and if I get a rude reaction I will go else where because something people need to realize is even if I was not to eat now I will be back in the future that is if I am greeted and helped even if just a free glass of water that day I will be back in the future if I received good service on a day I do this. Anyways I came back inside and again I was nicely asked how I was doing today, good and dam do I love santee folks. I grew up saying please thank you and if someone needs a hand whether it a dollar or just a hand getting up u offer and thank them for letting u help. Well only in santee are people still this way anymore. Del taco u are leading by example 👏 bravo

The Del Taco is the best taco they have. Always full of beef and cheese with some lettuce. The meat flavor needs no extra sauce.

always polite friendly and clean food is good the taco shells on the hard tacos are better than Taco Bells hard shells and they fill their tacos completely which is nice sometimes at Taco Bell when you order Taco it's half full at Del Taco they're always totally full and very fresh great variety of food also including french fries for the baby who doesn't eat a lot of spicy tacos or spicy foods in general

They were so patient with me as I ordered in the drive through and answered my questions and food customizations with kindness. I really appreciated my experience at Del Taco Santee. The food was delicious and I received everything I ordered very quickly! The food quality was great and the customer service was even better! I will be back!

I really don't give 5 stars unless a business has really earned it. This BK was on point with my order. They were courteous, and very helpful taking the extra minute to make sure we had what we ordered. Bonus: They got the whole order correct!!

The food is great! So much better than any Taco Bell I ever went. They actually fill your taco. And the employees AND the owner are wonderfully kind and helpful. We also love they carry "beyond meat" (non-soy vegetarian) burritos, tacos, and burgers!

We had some great tacos and fries today... I used to walk here as a kid 35 yes ago and was surprised it was still here. Took my 5 yr old and told him what I used to get when I came with my friends! Glad to see some things are still the same!

I'm always astonished when I go into a fast food restaurant and they are understaffed but somehow the people there are still friendly and quick on their feet. This Del Taco has the best crew and I will be returning.

I really like this Del Taco. We went before our wedding because my husband loves Del Taco. It was our first time at this one. They got all of our modifications right, service was fast, and the staff was friendly. Would love to come again. My friend from out of state has never eaten Del Taco and she really liked it.

The double del is a keeper. They won't take more than one coupon per visit so I had to go through the drive-thru twice.

Good tacos/burritos, and surprisingly good hamburgers/fries, too. About 20 years ago they had a great orange milkshake. I wish they would bring that back.

Food was reasonably good prices were high for certain items but the staff were very friendly and seemed clean.

It's our "go-to" place on Tuesdays. Beef taco Tuesday and chicken taco special on Thursday...can't beat it. .

Not one of the corporate stores, but very fast and friendly in the drive thru. I especially like the new Del taco. It is big with plenty of beef or turkey and cheese. You can't miss the location from the street. If you come during dinner time, especially during the Taco Tuesday specials, it can get very crowded inside and in the drive thru.

Good food and the portions are huge, better than taco bell, I only took a star off because they don't have a public restroom

I have been going to this place for 30 yrs. After I aye, u wanted to thank the owner for his service to the community. Many a teenager has had their first job here. And, many an adult that needed a 2nd chance too! I found out that the owner is retiring after 30+ years. Nobody in his family was interested in taking it over, so the location is being sold to a holding company that operates most of the chain locations in the area. Nice that it will still be there, but sad that it will not have the personal/local touch.

We tried California burrito and it tasted good, prices were decent. Service not so much but staff seemed nice. Building itself is just like every other American fast food place, not exactly my scene. If you enjoy good burritos this can be your place

It was okay, I got the beyond tacos with lettuce tomato and one piece of avocado. It wasn't as fresh as I would have hoped it to be. But it will do when your traveling and there is no other vegan options

Didn't know what I wanted tonight, I didn't expect them to have burger options and let alone be decent but I kinda want another.. :) I added bacon and avocado, it was great!! But I would add extra cheese next time. Also great fries! They're not too salty and not blan. There's some crunchy ones but they're fairly consistent and not soggy.

Not to happy with the customer service if you honor military discount why should you be in uniform every time especially when you are retired military.

The food doesn't taste good. When I opened the wrapper- it wasn't even appealing- I list my appetite and after tasting it- I was disgusted.

It's the first time I can remember throwing away over half a burrito. It was really bad. The temperature if the ingredients in the burrito were all different and all wrong. And the French fries were soggy. Disappointing.

I live on the same street and by the time I got home(about 5 minutes away) my food was at that point of almost too stale to eat 😑 not cool. Also they stingy with the sauce.

I had their beyond meat tacos. Better than their regular tacos to be honest. The beyond meat sauce gave me heartburn but that's not unusual for me.

Burritos 2 for $6 are trash. I wouldn't buy them. Taco bell has better and for less than $2 each.

We just went through the drive thru, we live walking distance from this location, and when we got home; we were disappointed. Not only were my deluxe chilli cheddar cheese fries missing their toppings & they didnt give us correct sauce; but my sons carne asada fries were inedible. The meat was like beef jerky, old & stale, & the guacamole was brown. We had to throw his food away. What a disappointment & a waste of money. Its frustrating because I doubt the people working there would eat the food they served us.

They close 30 mins early then they’re supposed to and yell at their customers.

Supposed to be opened until 12am. I drove there just before 10pm and it was closed. Waste of time!

I used to love DelTaco.Something was really wrong today as soon as the tortilla touch my tongue it was like eating the gross jelly beans I had to spit it out my son barfed his up too.

Burrito wrapping 101 folks!! Second time everything fell out the bottom. It's not that hard, really? Last time when I went in to complain the two cooks in the back who are about 15 just laughed. I'd find another del taco.

I love Del Taco, but this location is a bust for me. Nicely greeted when I walked in, but as soon as I took out my 2 coupons, I was told, "We can take ONE of those." Really? I asked if I could use 2 on two different purchases and was told, no, because I'm still only one person. Seriously? I understand not taking a handful of coupons at once, which is why all other SD County Del Tacos made the limit 2, but ONE? Not only did they lose my business today, but from now on. There are other Del Taco locations.

Just tried to order 2 beyond meat burritos here and the female order taker left the mic on so I could here a long sigh then "Vegan Die Die" Everytime I've ordered food here I've been harrassed because I ask for no cheese. Called the manager who claims she was talking to the computer. Give me a brake. I'll try corporate. Totally done with dell taco no respect for their customers. Horrible and unprofessional and unacceptable customer service.

I went there a month ago, payed with debit. The transaction cleared instantly. I ate the food (it was meh but not worth complaining about) and threw away the receipt. 3 days later, they charged me a second time for my order. I went in and talked to a shift manager, who told me that their registers "do that sometimes" and that they can't do anything without their store manager approval, and that they don't know when the store manager would be in. This food is not worth being charged twice for. DONT GO HERE. It's not worth it. **EDITED 10/26/2023** I tried calling the customer service number the same day that I noticed the double charge. I gave them my name and phone number, and haven't been called about the issue once since it happened. If iI could give 0 stars, I would.

Since the new owners came the service is slow, and my orders have been wrong numerous times.

Absolutely ridiculous service! My husband order 3 orders of mini quesdillas, 3 orders of mini donuts, $2 strawberry shake, a feista pack and a order or fries. We ordered our burritos a certain way onions and red sauce. They forgot our fries my husband went back down there the cashier called my husband a liar! And said there is probably red sauce in the burritos... there isn't CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! we will not be returning. We miss the old owners!

I don’t know who taught everyone how to make the food or how they should memorize the menu, but I’ve have an issue every single time I have gone to this Del Taco. I’m allergic to dairy and I was very happy when Del Taco came out with a vegan menu. I’ve been ordering the epic beyond fresh guacamole burrito for well over a year now, and every time I try and order it they either tell me that it’s not on the menu or that they have no idea what I’m asking for. It’s on the big menu when you’re ordering your food. They have also gotten the order completely wrong multiple times, even after asking more than once what is in the burrito when they ask me to pull up to the window. I love that they have this on the menu, but at this point I’m tired of trying to explain to the employees what the item is when it’s clearly on the menu in bold letters. Not sure if I will ever return to this location.

Whoever is running the front is a jerk!!!! I think I have been to Del Taco twice. I don't really know what they have. So when I ordered I asked what came in their beef and bean burrito which I then started to state besides the bean and beef. He rudely interrupted me with "Beans....Beef....Cheese....Mild red sauce. We try to make this as self-explanatory as we can". Most staff is intelligent enough to know that when someone asks what's on your cheeseburger they will say ketchup, mustard, etc. Clearly, this staff member lacks that intelligence. I wonder if he would have been just as sarcastic to a man. Obviously didn't order anything and will never go back again.

I'm still disgusted and It left a bad taste in my mouth. As expensive as fast food is now one would expect better food and better service.

I ordered on their app to take advantage of an app only deal, I paid and drove there, then when I got there they claimed to not to know about my order. I showed them the app receipt and the manager agreed it was for their location, it was in their app, but they didn't know about my food. I simply cancelled my order in the app then left. Will not go again.
