Chris the bartender was very informative and we decided on the Tri-Tip and slaw, the Cole slaw was excellent as was the Tri-Tip, just melted in your mouth. Was grateful the myth about Phil’s was true.

This is real value for the money. I ordered the 3-piece beef ribs with two sides. I had PLENTY of rib left over for two more meals. I also took some of the beef rib and fried it up with eggs,onions and mushrooms. Sooo good!

Phils BBQ never disappoints delicious Barbecue huge portions for a good price and customer service is always excellent I got the beef rib tickler no Coleslaw and they give you the option to get extra onion rings or French fries so definitely get extra onion rings they are my favorite onion rings I've ever had there ranch sauce is delicious also and I also got a pulled pork sandwich and there is plenty of parking

While the chicken wings were a bit dry for my taste, the Tickler stands out as a hearty option, combining beef ribs with fries, coleslaw, and two crispy onion rings. It’s a satisfying meal that leaves you feeling full. For those who prefer less sweetness, I recommend requesting the sauce on the side to control the flavor balance. The patio dining area is a huge plus, as it’s dog-friendly, making it a perfect spot to enjoy great BBQ with your furry friend. Phil's BBQ in Santee is a fantastic place for an enjoyable BBQ experience.

Phil's is like Famous Dave's, but only if you love the food and you were eating at a family BBQ. This was my first time at a Phil's and I can not wait to return, plus the family like so it will always be a stop for us when we visit San Diego.

When we arrive the line was out the door and we almost left and went somewhere else. I’m glad we stayed. The weight was not too bad and the line moves pretty quick. I had a half a rack of ribs with potato salad and macaroni cheese. My girlfriend had The boneless ribs. Both were good. I liked the ribs over the boneless ones. We also got a side of sausage and it was good as well. Darling your rings were big, thick and good. The kids got the philibuster and said it was really good as well. Don’t let the line for you and not check this place out

I should have asked for the sauce on the side because I thought the ribs were too heavily salted for my taste. Staff was great and friendly, it was a bit busy, good experience overall

Food was really good but unfortunately they got our orders wrong, asked for bbq sauce instead of ranch for my onion rings and no bacon on the potatoes and found a little hair in my ranch. Looks like they took our custom orders and threw it down the shitter. Better than SD location overall.

The 3 of us had a very poor experience. My 3 beef ribs were all most all fat without the beans and slaw I would have gone home hungry. The second person had pork ribs which again were mostly all fat. And the 3rd of our party had bbq’d pork and had the same complaint. We will not be going back. Very disappointed they used to be so good.

I wouldn’t recommend their beef rib way too chewy. I bought a big plate I didn’t even eat half of the ribs. It was to much of a mess and a hassle for the quality of cooked meat. The chicken was dry and their pulled pork was way too dry. They think the amount of bbq sauce they put on after will somehow moisten it. lol. All their sides were delicious especially macaroni salad. Smokey and the brisket is the spot for bbq. This was my second and last attempt at Phil’s bbq. I’d go back for their baked potato and salads tho.

Phils went down hill. I keep giving them another chance and I cant any more. Small portions, corn on the cob that looks like something chewed it, cold, and bad attitudes. I was served food that visually looked disgusting so I asked for new and Chloe didn't say anything to me not anything she just turned around and yelled at the kitchen to give a new item. She then set the item on the counter and again didn't say one word. Sorry thank you for spending your money here nothing. I decided to walk away instead of speaking to the manager. Not worth my time or money any longer. Dont waste yours either.
