Rebecca was absolutely incredible to work with, every last detail was taken care of. The care and attention poured into the décor, food, and overall atmosphere were truly unmatched. We had an 15 person wedding at Mouzon House, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. It was a wonderful, memorable experience that we’ll cherish forever. Our friends and family are still raving about the food! I highly recommend Mouzon House for any private event, and we’re already looking forward to attending their supper clubs in the future.
This place is crazy cool - a farm-to-table restaurant, the rooms are so unique and the place is family-owned. Staff is very friendly, the food - no matter what you order- is superb, and it is the only restaurant that did not move during Saratoga's Urban Renewal. It is tucked at the back of a parking lot/garage now - so look for it. They are thriving, even though off Broadway.
I booked the May Supper Club prix-fixe dinner to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We were seated on the homey patio on a perfect weather evening, mere feet away from the live musicians. Service was friendly and attentive, our respective wine and cocktail were both delicious, and the ambiance was plant-filled and charming. Each course of our five-course meal was delicious, balanced, and artfully presented. We were satisfied enough with the portions to box some of our main entree (short rib and local vegetable tagine) and save room for the dessert course. My boyfriend received a complimentary glass of prosecco for his birthday and a short but sweet birthday song. It was a delightful experience that I'd recommend to anyone celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking a culinary treat.
I had the most incredible dining experience at Mouzon House for their monthly supper dinner. The chefs truly showcased their exceptional skills and talent throughout the five-course meal. Every dish was executed with such attention to detail and flavor that it left me in awe. The amount of creativity and expertise that goes into creating such amazing culinary masterpieces is truly remarkable. I am so grateful for the dedication and passion that chefs put into their craft. They have the ability to create a dining experience that is not only delicious but also a feast for the eyes. Chefs are truly amazing artists, and I am in awe of their talent. Thank you to the chefs at Mouson House for providing me with such an unforgettable dining experience.
This is a really cool french creole restaurant with a thoughtful menu filled with delicious items you would not cook at home. They have an amazing wine list and the atmosphere feels like your on the set of a romantic movie.
I discovered this beautiful restaurant years ago on foot & because of circumstances have not been able to get in until last night. It was well worth the wait! From the hostess, Julia’s greeting at the front door to Diane’s, the manager/owner accommodating and personal experience, I would fully recommend Mouzon House to anyone who appreciates quality food & a warm, environment! Maybe a bit cliché, but we literally felt like we came Home when we arrived.
The dining experience at The Mouzon House cannot be matched in Saratoga Springs. It is a uniquely artistic getaway just off of Broadway. This photo showcases a catfish dish that proved to be a full tasting delight and had the perfect blend of seasoning and spices. We started the meal with crawfish beignets and concluded with a homemade ice cream and peach dessert served along with French Pressed coffee. Mia took exceptional care of us and guided us through the menu and wine list. When we inquired about the history of the restaurant she even brought Diane, the owner, to our table. Diane shared the incredible story and essence of the house. She noted carting this forward along with her husband, David. We are grateful for the entire experience!
Such a beautiful restaurant—warm and inviting. Favorite foods were the crawfish beignets, the jambalaya and fried chicken. We look forward to returning!
Unique menu with many locally sourced ingredients from organic or sustainable farms generally - many of them listed on the menu. The shrimp is wild-caught and so is the crawfish. Interesting history spanning from the 1800’s to today. More on that at the about us page on their website. Certainly top recommendation for those who care about quality ingredients and unique experiences.
My wife and I came up to Saratoga Springs for a weekend getaway from NYC, and the supper club at The Mouzon House was the crown jewel of our entire stay. We plan to return to Saratoga Springs just to dine again at The Mouzon House. When you step inside, you are transported to an enchanting setting, with live music and candles leading the way to the dining room. The dishes are thoughtfully created and the ingredients are locally sourced. And the service is just world class. Come here to celebrate quality food and the best that Saratoga springs has to offer.
This is not only the cutest restaurant I’ve ever been to, but the best meal I’ve had in my LIFE! The pasta aglio e olio was such a unique dish. We were here for a group event and the pre fixe meal was spectacular. So so so impressed!!!!
The Nawlins influenced restaurant is located in a renovated typical Saratoga "mansion". The food is excellent. Service is great, but not intrusive. The decor is of old world style.
A quaint, unique gorgeous restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere: handpainted walls ala Gauguin, romantic lighting, private dining rooms and fresh flowers. I was amazed that I loved the food as I imagined cajun food too spicy. It was fresh, innovative and flavorful. Their greens were good, but too spicy. I had the cod special over rice. A companion had the budda bowl. Their staff really cares that you like the food and were quite attentive. The honeycomb drink was a bit disappointing. I would love to go back for the food and atmosphere. Do not miss this!
Wonderful decor, very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere and the service was par excellence! I definitely recommend trying out the charcuterie and cheese boards. Great selection of wines and spirits and beautifully presented dishes. They had me from hello...I will be back!😋💖
The food is absolutely delicious and unique; the service is top of the line; and the atmosphere is so elegant, warm, and inviting. I have a gluten allergy, so to be able to not only have fried chicken, but to have the best fried chicken of my life, was such a huge treat. Our server Anglea was so kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I can't say enough great things about this place. We love it there and hope to be back asap!
We were a party of 5 family members. Since people I was with, had been there already, they granted us with the warmest welcome. The Mouzon House is a family business and you feel right at home in the cozy atmosphere. Each room of that lovely house is a delight for your eyes. We had a lovely meal. Food was flavourful and wine was deligthful. 2 musiciens/singers provided entertainment with joyful live music. If you are in the area, pay them a visit, it's worth it.
We booked a supper club dinner at The Mouzon House during memorial day weekend and it was the highlight of our stay at Saratoga Springs. The food was just stellar. From soft shell crab to roasted lamb, everything was cooked to perfection. The wine and the cocktails were delicious and especially the wine was so reasonably priced (especially coming from nyc!) The restaurant was set up in a socially distanced way with separators and ample space in between tables. The decor was very romantic and cozy with a fireplace going, candles and fresh cut flowers. The service was amazing and we really enjoyed how the food was just all taken care of and all the guests being served at the same time. We also had great live music which added to the ambiance and made the experience even more special. If I could eat here 3 days in a row I totally would have. We will be back just for trying another month’s supper club menu and will recommend this place to anyone visiting Saratoga Springs.
Absolutely loves this special spot for dinner/drinks! The family owned quaint house had so much character and an awesome history behind it. Food was amazing, service was fabulous! Highly recommend ☺️
The live music and the outdoor dining was great. The New Orleans style decor and food was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxing, the service was great, and staff was very friendly.
We had our wedding dinner at Mouzon house and it was absolutely incredible! They did such an amazing job!
Always a lovely,, classy place to eat.. We chose to eat outside, up on the hill and enjoyed the live music being played from inside...circa 1940's including "All of Me" and other WWII favorites. Food was delicious as usual, the staff friendly and atmosphere romantic!
My wife and I started with crawfish beignet as a starter which was delicious. The gumbo was outstanding along with the blackened catfish. We finished with bread pudding with olive oil ice cream which, surprisingly, was excellent. We would definitely go there again.
WOW, a beautiful setting in a century house. The food surpassed any creole that I have had in New Orleans! Our group had three different entrees that we all shared because it was so tasteful! A gem in Saratoga!
Our server, Mathew was a perfect pairing with the chefs magnificent creations. Everything he suggested was amazing in appearance and flavor. Atmosphere, staff and food will not disappoint.
This place is pretty nice, good food, good service and there was music on a Friday night.
From the food to the ambience, this was a beautiful and unique dining experience. A must if you are in the area. The shrimp and grits were superb!
Delicious and unique food, with incredible seasonal menus! A beautiful restaurant. Worth the price for a special night out.
Love this place, especially the staff! I've been here twice and they always take amazing care of us. Both times we had Sophie as our server, she was lovely, knowledgeable and dealt with our large and loud group well. My only complaint is this- I went a year ago and absolutely loved the way the staff dressed, it very much added to the vibe and I was really looking forward to that again, but this year they had changed to uniforms that allowed for no individuality. I hope that they let the staff pick better uniforms at least, they clearly had no say in the current ones- Sophie we love you and our photos were trash but not for lack of your effort.
We had the most magical wedding at The Mouzon House this past weekend. Rebecca, the owner, was quick to respond to all emails and was able to accommodate all our wishes. All the staff members working that night were helpful and sweet and the food was absolutely incredible!
I brought my mom while she was visiting and we had the most lovely evening, she is still talking about how it was the best food & service she's had in Saratoga. Miriam was wonderful and so helpful! Next time we'll definitely be trying more of her suggestions. Visiting the Mouzon House is our new tradition :)
We went here for my birthday after wanting to go somewhere new. Living in Saratoga gives you the opportunities to try so much food in so little time, it's so hard to try every place. The staff was extremely pleasant, the food knocked my socks off but the atmosphere was beyond remarkable. Such a unique building, the artwork and aesthetic was completely original and the porch with live Jazz was just incredible. We didn't want to leave! I think we stayed for well over 2 hours and just enjoyed every minute of it. Cannot wait to return!
This place has such a good vibe. We had drinks and dessert, which were both so unique and tasted out of this world!! Ive never had butter pecan homemade ice cream quite like that! Sophie was wonderful, kind, and took great care of us! Delightful surprise for our evening adventure
Another great Saratoga find! The menu has a lot of great options and I love the farm to table concept. The food was delicious and hearty, atmosphere was great, and the service was wonderful. If you’re willing to spend the money, it’s so worth it.
Beautiful restaurant, food was great, and Leah gave the most incredible service I have ever received! She is truly what made my experience there a 10 out of 10! You go girl!!!
Went with a party of six and all ordered something different. Every dish was exquisite in its own way. The service was great and included a little discussion about the history of the building. It’s farm-to-table though so sometimes they run out of a dish and you won’t find Chilean sea bass on the menu.
This place was so great!! Annette our server was super friendly and attentive. Menu highlights were— The cocktails (trees knees was delicious) Mushroom bisque Blackened catfish Mediterranean eggplant Surprise dessert : a chocolate ice cream with cherries and hazelnuts Definitely would come back here!!
We were here for a wedding in October and it was AWESOME! The food was great, catered to meat eaters, vegetarians etc and what a BEAUTIFUL house, so unique and fun for a wedding. Sitting on the porch while it lightly rained and having dinner and drinks was great. If we are in Saratoga again I would like to come here for a conventional meal!
This place is a delight. We always return when we are in town for its ambiance. Three piece band plays in the dining room. Bartenders are mixing up delicious creations. The staff is happy and chill. The salad we ordered was clearly made with local farm fresh ingredients. We topped it with fried chicken that is juicy and flavorful. The southern style menu just limits agreeable options for us personally like collard greens.
Enjoyed a fabulous dinner Saturday. The multiple course supper club. Our guests asked to reserve again for their next visit.Dinner featured local suppliers. We headed to the Farmers Market the next morning to purchase some cheese and the mushrooms prepared for our meal . Very pleased!
Me and my girlfriend had the most amazing night here. The food was immaculate. The service was even better. Our waitress, Sarah, was incredibly kind and attentive. We had a little fun pulling a prank on the bartender, Michael. It’s been over a month since we went and we talk about our lovely experience here at Mouzon House to anyone who will listen. We may come back to Saratoga just to eat here again.
Love love love love. Best atmosphere of any restaurant I’ve ever been to and the food was phenomenal. It didn’t need any salt— which is an anomaly for me!!!! Had the best time with the most wonderful people and we had a whole room to ourselves— small one table room. Extremely lovely. The server was very youthful and happy and fresh, and she added a great vibe. Highly recommend this place. I would absolutely have parties here. Appreciate this new spot on the map (🤪😂🤣 for me!!).
Love The Mouzon House although not always open, it’s a great experience. The menu has changed in the last couple years, not quite what it used to be but still a great meal. The bar area is perfect, ambiance old school jazzy- the porch seating is lovely and the indoor store is amazing.
The food is delicious and carefully prepared. The bouillabaisse in particular has a sauce that is so rich and tasty, just great. I wish I could give the food 6 stars. Sadly, our experience with the service, is worthy of three stars, hence the 4 star total. Our waiter approached serving our table with the attitude of one who really did not want to be there. Did not crack a smile and did not make us feel as worthy guests. The one thing that put me over the edge was the way dishes were cleared from the table. They were stacked in front of one of us and all the other dishes piled over those with clanging cutlery to follow - just like you would experience in a cheap diner. One other item - there is an extensive menu of specials, which is a nice touch, but with no prices. Really? That's offensive to guests - what are you hiding? Oh, and consider a fence in front of the dumpsters by your front entrance as they don't make for a nice sight. So, when you're serving $32 entrees, please make sure your server provides the service that goes along with those entrees.
I haven’t been to Mouzon in years and we were very lucky and thankful that they were able to fit a large party of us in on such short notice. the food we all had was incredible. I started off with the beet bruschetta for the night which was absolutely amazing. for the main course I had the lamb burger which was cooked perfectly and incredibly flavorful (I would come back just for this again). However, while I would love to give a five star review, our waitress seemed a bit preoccupied. I’m not sure if she was busy with other tables, overwhelmed by the group of us, or what — but there were several times where I asked for a drink and she only brought over someone else from my party’s drink. I eventually gave up, but nonetheless she was a kind and friendly waitress. I’ll end the review on a high note by saying the Manhattan I ordered at the bar before dinner was amazing and the cheese board with the Brie/goat cheese I shared with my friend was so yummy and everything was well worth the price. Thank you for your hospitality and the amazing food! We will be back again for sure.
Nice casual place, usually not too crowded. I love the little garden they have here. Order food at the register is different from other restaurants, but not too bad. Menu includes creative spins to basic items. Overall, 4 stars for food and service (since there isn’t too much service happening here)
Our reservation was at 7:00pm and we were seated in a dark Coner around the Coner. ( When you know, you know ) I ask to move because there were other tables empty. However, I was told they were reserved. NOTE: I didn’t know you could reserve specific tables, now I know for next time when making reservations. This was my 1st time at this restaurant. The poor waitress was overwhelmed overworked & had way too much on her plate. Everything took a long time to receive. What felt like, half the menu was already sold out, the dishes I felt I most would have enjoyed were sold out on Friday at 7:30pm in Race season. It’s a beautiful place, the staff is polite and I ordered dishes that I didn’t really love, but did not hate because of the good quality of the food. I understand that it’s race season, it’s nuts and unpredictable. I will try this place again, outside of race season because I believe we came here at a moment in time that was a lot to bear for everyone.
Been there many times, but no more. I love the ambiance and the service was adequate, but the food…I ordered the ragu. It maybe had about 4 oz of ground beef and pork with some veggies over a lot of polenta. Not bad but not great for $28. I asked for some bread and was served some dry stuff with butter for $8. My partner, who likes steak, would not go for steak at $75, so she got a salad and asked to have it with grilled chicken. Sorry, no chicken, so she opted for grilled shrimp…about 5 pieces for an $18 add on. To be fair, the clams appetizer was great, but it was all down hill after that…total bill $128 for two with one glass of wine.
If you’re looking for a dining experience that embodies overpriced mediocrity wrapped in false charm, look no further than The Mouzon House. What’s marketed as a “farm-to-table gem” is little more than an overhyped tourist trap resting on its location and storybook exterior rather than the actual quality of food or service. The atmosphere tries hard to feel “quaint” and “intimate,” but instead feels cramped and noisy—like being packed into someone’s outdated parlor with strangers elbow-to-elbow. The décor looks tired rather than historic, and instead of Southern hospitality, you’re met with staff who seem more inconvenienced than welcoming. And the food? Easily the most disappointing part. Dishes arrive lukewarm, bland, and grossly underwhelming for the price point. The menu reads like an upscale Southern dream, but the execution falls flat—think watery gumbo, rubbery shrimp, and flavorless sides that could’ve been scooped out of a cafeteria tray. For what they charge, you’d expect at least consistency, if not actual excellence. Instead, it’s the kind of food that makes you wish you had gone somewhere—anywhere—else in Saratoga’s vibrant restaurant scene. The service does nothing to redeem the experience. Long waits for simple requests, inattentive servers who vanish when you actually need something, and an air of pretentiousness that makes you feel like you should be grateful they allowed you to eat there at all. To make matters worse, the cocktails are watery and uninspired, and the wine list is marked up beyond reason. Pair that with the disappointing food and you’re left with one of the worst value dining experiences in town. Saratoga Springs has plenty of excellent options for dining—unfortunately, The Mouzon House is not one of them. Save your money, save your evening, and skip this overrated establishment.
To say that this meal was a shock is understatement. Yet the food was good and the service was subpar the price for the food was outrageous. Had 5 very small portioned meals made on a set menu. We payed way too much for 3 people to eat dinner and had no idea about the pricing, upwards of $750. Very disappointed in the restaurant for the lack of communication for how much the meal was going to cost. Nothing posted on the menu nor on the website which is not right and maybe illegal. Take caution with this dinner, it is definitely an experience but probably not the kind that you are wanting for the price.
Supper club tasting menu was a huge disappointment. We actually paid and left after two courses because the flatbread had no flavor and was cold; and the scallop was also cold. Would not recommend this, much better food through out Saratoga.
