Triangle Diner is my favorite place for breakfasts. I will travel the 30 miles gladly. The specials are so creative and delicious. I have never found such specials anywhere else. In the last 49 years, I have only ordered twice from the menu because the Diner had just opened and the specials were not yet posted. You really must try it for yourself
Delicious and filling breakfast from scratch… the specials menu is both creative and impressive, it was so hard to choose just one. Mom and I both had lox Benedict, what a treat. I could tell everyone around us was enjoying special pancakes and baked goods. I’m not much for sweets but I could tell thats one of the things they’re famous for :)
Best diner in all of Upstate NY hands down. Biggest portions. Lowest prices. Friendly staff. 6 stars! Updating... turns out they don't have almond milk. Still sticking with the 6 star rating though. I guess bring your own?
It's a lovely little diner/bakery. Very simple, comfortable food menu. It does get very busy because of its well-loved homecooked meals. Their baked goods are phenomenal, and their pies are exceptional. Truly a wonderful little local spot.
Fantastic food. Best home fries I’ve EVER had, no one else can make them crispy like the Triangle does, apparently. I got the California Benedict. We shared the grilled banana bread and it was perfection! Specials are awesome too. I hate boring breakfast diners that all the food is the same everywhere you go— this place comes up with different and amazing concoctions! Only thing our party didn’t care for were the hash browns- go with the home fries! Extremely reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend!
This was a great breakfast. The Benny with smoked salmon sounded bold but I'm glad I tried it, and the home fries were some of the best I've ever had. Strongly recommended!
Every local knows this is one of the best restaurants in town for breakfast and lunch. It's always packed and I don't understand why they haven't moved to a bigger location. My wife's omelet with ham, cheese, onion and green peppers was perfectly cooked and not wanting toast due to our low carb, all natural diet they substituted sauteed tomato slices at no extra charge. I took a trip down memory lane and enjoyed a scrumptious tuna melt on rye. The well buttered bread was golden brown and they melted the Swiss on both sides! The diced celery and sauteed onions only added to this savory delight. If you like great food from an old fashioned diner, this is the place!
Delicious food! The cranberry orange chocolate chip waffle was fantastic!!
This diner is the best! Interesting combinations, huge portions and wonderful service.
We were new to Saratoga and looking for a good diner. From the moment we entered the Triangle we felt welcomed. The staff is efficient and displays a level of comfort and ease with fantastic service. The menu is creative and the food is great! We so appreciate the way this establishment delivers and have decided this is our place to go from this point on! Thanks Triangle!
Update (Jan2026): Breakfast joint GOAT, they just can’t miss! 💯 Best breakfast place around. Gotta have the home fries and homemade toast! My go-to is the Eggs Benedict. Be prepared for a short wait on busy days, but they do a great job of seating best they can. 😀
It's a tiny diner but worth the wait. Food especially breakfast is the BEST around. Love this place. Even take out is quality they will make anything you ask for. Staff is friendly fast and happy.
Traditional diner atmosphere. Stopped in for breakfast and the food was good, not expensive, and just what I wanted. Attentive service.
If you appreciate the diner experience, this is the place to eat. Large portions, food came out quick and the service was great. Corned beef hash was the best I've had.
The food is excellent. A perfect greesy spoon breakfast joint. Their specials menu was extensive and unique. I ordered a special-- sausage bacon egg and cheese between two pieces of French toast (pictured below) Hash browns were cooked perfectly. Only downside to this local gem is the wait. The diner is very small, maybe 10 tables and half a dozen bar stools. We waited about 30 minutes for a table, it was well worth the wait. If your in Saratoga, I wouldn't miss a breakfast at the triangle.
Best Breakfast in the 518! We have been coming here for years and always have the best service and food!
Food was great! Came in for the first time the other day. Immediately was greeted by two people asking if I’d like coffee(which was delicious). We put in our order and our food came out within 5-10 minutes! Super fast service! It is a smaller place so it is louder in there when it is busy. But other than that we loved it!
Came here for breakfast Sunday, February 23 after church. This is always a busy location as there are not that many great breakfast spots in Saratoga that are reasonably priced for the serving size. For a table of 3 we had about a 20 minute wait, which is well worth it . What is also really great is that the owner will come out to your car to get you when your table is ready since there is not a lot of room to wait inside. Now THAT is hospitality! I ordered an egg white omelette platter and where most places skimp on egg whites, the Triangle does not. The omelette is filled to the brim with ingredients and its light and fluffy. The homemade Italian bread is what dreams are made of. My aunt got the French toast and she said it's the first place she's been to where they do not over do it with cooking (not dry or soggy, just right). Our server Katie was an absolute gem of a human. We have had her many times before and as always, she is friendly, constantly refilling our coffee, and making sure we are well taken care of. If you are looking for a breakfast or lunch spot anytime of the year this is the place!
We mapped out a diner 4 hours into a road trip, and this was it! We ended up with a great breakfast, solid coffee, and a wonderful server!
I came here at the recommendation of a friend and found it had great proportions for the delicious food. The only thing that worried me was the line outside but the wait time isn't long at all so it more just shows how popular this local gem is.
A typical visit to this diner begins by putting your name down on the list with party size and then waiting in line (sometimes for upwards of 15 minutes). If you've never eaten here you may scoff at the line but let me assure you the wait just makes the food taste better. The staff is very friendly and there is counter space and booths so take your preference. Daily specials are posted on their board and the menu offers a sizable list of options. The Eggs Benedict and corned beef hash is some of the best my husband has ever had. The blueberry pancakes are amazing and have about 1/2 a cup of fresh blueberries in each. This place is a gem. My favorite diner of all those I've eaten at over the years. Be sure to come hungry!!! 🍴😋 *Prices are very reasonable *Kid/ family friendly *It is wheelchair accessible ( just a bit of a squeeze through entrance door)
Great, simple, delicious and fulfilling diner breakfast... Just the way it should be.
One word sums it up....YUM! A favorite place of mine for well over 25 years!!! Great food, good prices and very good service - even with social distancing, we only had a 15 minute wait on Saturday morning. Pic is only one page of menu. (If you want a flavor explosion, try the Chorizo Hash 😉) Thank you to everyone at Triangle...keep up the great work! ❤
Since moving to the area I go here any chamce I get! The food always tastes real and homemade. I got the rueben this time. It was very good. It tasted like something I would make at home. Only downside was that the corned beef could have had a bit more corned beef seasoning. Other than that I have never had ANY problems. Coffee is always great too. They sell HUGE baked goods if you're ever still hungry ( unlikely since the portions are big enough for two meals 😊)
The Triangle Diner is a shiny gem of an eatery. It incorporates everything I love about diners. The decor, a sweet staff who knew many of the guests by name, the hustle and bustle of a quick turnover of smiling guests, the comforting smells which make it feel like 'home'. Where they truly shine is the food. Inventive plates that are well executed and affordable. I ordered smoked Salmon with capers, asparagus, hollandaise, poached eggs and homefries. The meal also came with a perfectly grilled blueberry muffin (done in true diner fashion on the flat top with just the right amount of butter). The meal was absolutely incredible. The flavors complimented one another as well as the textures and the portion was perfect. It was hard to pick between all of the delectable delights on their menu. The choices were so tempting that my dining buddy ordered two meals (loaded hash brown skillet and country style eggs Benedict...which they raved about). I wish I lived closer to this wonderful, friendly and very efficiently run establishment. I'd eat there multiple times a week. It was very clean and inviting. There were outdoor seating options and our wait was less than the originally estimated wait time. All staff wore masks and throughly sanitized tables and seats between guests. Highly recommend! The Triangle Diner was worth the wait!
Lovely little diner with lovely staff. Quite busy even on a weekday morning with all the booths filled when I came in, but plenty of seats available at the counter. Got my Irish Benedict hardly 5 minutes after ordering and it was fantastic. Will surely be stopping in again when I'm in the area!
Best local diner Saratoga has to offer. Daily specials, everything is homemade and delicious
What a gem! Went early on a Saturday morning and had a short, five-minute wait for a seat at the counter. Fast and efficient service. The food is great (and portions gigantic). Rather enjoyed watching them write up the day's specials.
Ya GOTTA try the bread pudding breakfast meal!!
All food was of high quality with hefty portions. I had seen a Tik Tok review the month before knowing I would be visiting the town for an upcoming conference. Everything was awesome!
You will not find a better diner anywhere. I am from Long Island originally so I know good diners and this place belongs at the top with the best. From the food to the service it could not have been any better. I had the Crab Cake Benedict and it was delicious. Thanks to all there for a great breakfast
This Restaurant is a GEM it was recommended to us by Bakery Susanne and we agree it was Absolutely Fantastic. Having lived down South for many years I order the Large Saugage Biscuit meal made in house I was Surprised when I started eating lots of Sausage and the Gravy was better than most in the South 5 Stars for that meal. My Girlfriend ordered the Cornbeef Hash Definitely made in house it had Chunks of Meat and she said it was Great. Service was Fast and price was reasonable. Will Absolutely will Return. Ron & Eva
Hard to tell from this picture, but this is a double decker French toast, egg, bacon and sausage sandwich. What a fantastic concept! Apparently standard cheese on this is American. Anything but American cheese would've been way better, but I'll still give it 5 stars. Oh yeah, be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes, but I'll also echo what others have said about it being worth the wait.
This diner is special. It is the best diner I have ever been to period. The food is quality and the menu is always changing to keep you on your toes. You think you want a refill on coffee? ...it was already done just look in your cup. I have been out to breakfast here multiple times and everytime it delivers. The parking lot is always packed and there will be a wait. Always a good sign. This place is not only just another great place to eat out in the Saratoga area but it may deserve higher praise than that. It might deserve a spot in the Diner Hall of Fame.
5- Star Breakfast Diner experience. The place is well worn, and well used - you’ll know why when you eat the food. The Eggs Benny (Salmon version) were perfection 👌, Fast and friendly service, great menu, great Triangle Diner T-shirts (we bought 2), and just a great diner breakfast experience. 👉Would definitely go out of my way to eat here again. “Try it, try it! You will like it, you will see!”
Get the Irish Benedict! The home fries are 👌 and the grilled coffee roll was spectacular! Friendly staff with a traditional diner experience. Definitely recommend.
I've never been to a place where they are so attentive. They came around to refill our coffee several times (other establishments you are lucky if you see your waitress once) The food was fantastic and plentiful. Great prices and we will definitely be going back. I didn't think to snap a pic until I was 1/2 way thru the meal. Highly recommend the broccoli and cheese omelette.
The most incredible breakfast we have ever had anywhere !!! Get there early , seating capacity is limited , real eggs , real potatoes , fortunate enough to have had breakfast Super Bowl Sunday , ordered Super Stuff Potato Bowl ! I didn’t know you could get a potato that big!! ( see menu ) wow guys try to get there if your in town it’s an amazingly wonderful breakfast diner with a genuine retro setting you will not soon forget ! the smiles on everyone’s faces as they leave , says it all ! About 30-45 min wait 9a-11am worth it , they come to your car and get you :)
Best diner in the capital region. The menu is full of seasonal dishes and they always have the main menu. The decor needs updating however the old decor does give the diner character. We ordered from the seasonal menu and everything waa cooked to order and perfection. The coffee was rich bold and hot which is perfect for a fall morning. Must go diner!
100% awesome. Great service, great people. Like a family meal each and every time. 👍
We tried this place for the first time this past weekend but it was just a takeout order. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and my son ordered one with hashbrowns. The food was very good and we will definitely be back for breakfast in the diner. This is a classic old school diner. I loved the feel of the place. Look forward to a return trip.
First off, we’ve been here three times in one week since finding this diner! While it’s small, can get a bit warm, and you usually have to wait to be seated, Triangle Diner is 100% worth it. Everything is top notch from the service, to the food. The prices are extremely reasonable for the portion sizes. Every time I get the Irish Benedict breakfast. It’s amazing. The corned beef hash is homemade, not from a can! My son gets the pancake with strawberries, which after sneaking bites, is one of the best pancakes I’ve ever had. The husband gets a bagel breakfast sandwich with home fries. The home fries are nicely seasoned and crisp. You can’t go wrong with going here. Everything is delicious and so very worth the wait. We will be regulars until we move out of the area, for sure.
Best corn beef hash I’ve maybe had ever? Also it was so nice that the host came and got us from our car so we could wait there! All around great experience and food!
For those of you who don’t enjoy a bustling restaurant with a lot of classic atmosphere this isn’t for you, but for those of us who love good food, attentive waitresses quick service in this busy little diner you will find your niche. We were so happy we took a chance on our ride around New York State. Stop by and take a chance you’ll appreciate it.
Great team, stellar food and quintessential diner experience. If you love breakfast that's more than you can eat, tastes amazing, and love diners, run don't walk to this place! Order the potatoes they're so good. Beware the pancakes are massive one could feed 2-3 people. Discount for paying cash.
This place was packed and for good reason. The food was on point (really good). My over medium eggs were cooked perfectly and the corned beef hash, which is homemade, is exactly how corned beef hash is supposed to taste! The service was mostly friendly, very focused and efficient for a diner of this size. Serving sizes are very plentiful so bring your appetite. We will definitely be back.
Had a short stack of awesome buttermilk pancakes 🥞 and a cup of coffee ☕️ and both were excellent. The staff were all super friendly and the cost was more than affordable. If I’m working in the area again I’ll have to stop by for another great breakfast!
Just a reminder. If the business didn't make any mistakes, they most likely deserve 5 ⭐⭐. There are many different ways to make every recipe . Tasts are different. Like people are different. So remember just because someone isn't bubbly out their socks. Doesn't mean they are being short with you I rate most of my reviews on consistency. I usually visit a business a few times before l write a review. So when l say it's bad it's really bad. If solid surface ever knew how much time we used to spend it the Triangle Dinner. All the install crews would meet up there for lunch, guys would be driving up from Bethlehem, skipping Cardonas(mmm! The Cardona Club). Or down from Bolton landing, going right by Mr Bs. I would always get the burger. It's a dinner not Salt n Char.
I had an amazing breakfast at the Triangle Diner. Coming on a Saturday morning wasn’t my plan but I was glad that we went. We waited about 15 minutes for a table and were very impressed with their ability to facilitate so many people in and out. They really have the operation down perfect. As far as food, I would recommend getting the peanut butter chocolate chip pancakes and the hot chocolate. They had so much flavor and I’m not normally someone who gets pancakes but I seen some pass by while we were sitting at the table and knew that was what I had to get. The hot chocolate was also phenomenal, it was the perfect temp and had great flavor There are about 12-15 barstools as well if you are dining alone, or just want to get in faster if you don’t want to wait for one of the booths. I would recommend this diner to anyone in the Saratoga region.
Our friends took us to brunch at this family owned diner. It is a very welcoming place, we reached just a few moments before they closed, but they happily served us delicious brunch within minutes. The service is quick, everything is taken care of, and the place is always busy. We ordered from the Christmas in July menu, Belgian waffles that were topped with strawberries 🍓 and whipped cream 🤌🏼 we also ordered eggnog French toast 😋it tasted amazing! I ordered omelet 🍳with their rye bread 🍞 which is absolutely delicious 🤤 and we also got 2 eggs with English muffin. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed our brunch. If you are in the area do check this place out. Portion sizes are big, but since we went for brunch we finished it all. Their house fries are delish 🤌🏼 place is value for money 😁
It is IMPOSSIBLE to go wrong here. Best breakfast spot around, great lunch too but the breakfast specials!!!! Such fun sweet and savory combos! Portions are humongous. I almost always get a benedict (specifically the crab cake benny), if not whatever sandwich or omelet special they have. All around fantastic. Oh, and do not skip the grilled muffins.
Went here for some good pancakes and breakfast but mostly because they had outdoor seating and allowed our dog to sit with us. Great service and great food at this little diner in the heart of Saratoga. So glad we found this place. All the food was yum! The grilled banana bread is an absolute must! Go get it!
Excellent little diner. We had a great breakfast with fast and friendly service. My wife had the veggie omelette with home fries and I had the Country Eggs Benedict with sausage gravy and hash browns. Both were delicious! I just like my hash browns a little crispier, but they were still very good.
This is a small dinner. When we came, it was pretty packed inside, and we had about a 15 min wait on a Sunday early afternoon (came for brunch). All the food we ordered was delicious, they gave huge portions and we even had to box up a lot of our food to bring home because we couldn't finish it all in one sitting. Definitely recommend trying one of their Benedicts - they offer plenty of styles to choose from, and we had a hard time choosing because they all looked really interesting, haha. We all left super full!

The Triangle Diner is a classic American diner that has been a staple in Saratoga for years. The atmosphere is comfortable and nostalgic, with the quintessential diner decor and friendly waitstaff. However, the food quality and consistency leaves something to be desired. On my most recent visit, I ordered the breakfast special - two eggs, home fries, and toast. The eggs were cooked properly, but the home fries were quite greasy and oversalted. The toast was serviceable, but nothing to write home about. My dining companion ordered a club sandwich, which was a bit haphazardly assembled and the bread was a bit stale. The prices are fairly standard for a diner, but I felt I didn't quite get the value I expected for what I ordered. The service was attentive, but the food preparation and presentation could use some improvement. Overall, the Triangle Diner provides a classic diner experience, but the quality of the food is a bit inconsistent. It's a decent option if you're in the area and craving some standard diner fare, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. With so many great dining options in Saratoga, the Triangle Diner falls a bit short in comparison.
Old school diner that used to be a bus stop long ago. Don’t expect anything more than good breakfast quick
Good food friendly environment good comfortably proud. It's a must
Hadn't been for a while as the last time we were there we weren't impressed with the GARLIC Texas toast French toast (garlic and maple syrup not to our liking). That being said, the home fries were the best. That was then, this is now: the cook must have changed how he makes home fries. They were cut twice as big and parboiled before going on the grill. The rest of our breakfast was good. Luckily, we timed our visit just right and didn't have to wait and had an awesome waitress. Nov 2021-It wasn't terribly busy but we still had to wait over 1/2 hr and when we asked about our order, got a very curt answer. Order arrived shortly after; food was good but the oil needed to be changed for the french fries. Then we asked for our check and someone other than our waiter quickly removed our plates even though I wasn't quite finished. I would only give 3 stars for this visit.
The food was amazing, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a while. The fried banana bread was the highlight of my meal. It seems to be a very popular spot, as we had a 20-minute wait and parking was very limited. I would still absolutely recommend coming here. My only downside and suggestion for improvement would be to work on the atmosphere. There are a lot of rusting benches outside for waiting guests, but nobody wanted to sit on them because they were so rusty. I could also see this potentially being a hazard, especially the red bench in the front.
This is a wonderful breakfast diner! The serving size is huge! And they make delicious homemade corn beef hash! Only drawback is timing. This place is small and very, very well known. We got in..about an hour before they closed!
We enjoyed a family breakfast here before my son's lacrosse tournament. We figured downtown would be busy on a Saturday in July, so Triangle was a great choice. No wait at 8:30 am, and we sat in the tent out back. The pancakes were enormous... everyone else liked their meals - omelets, eggs benny, etc. The service was fine. I'd go back if in the area.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Surprisingly expensive. Got a very basic one-egg breakfast and coffee for almost $20, and that was supposedly with a cash discount
Classic American diner with great food and big portions. The hash was a bit off, a little too dry and under-seasoned for my liking but the rest of our breakfast was delicious. Parking can be difficult during peak times but not a problem for us. There was a wait for a table but plenty of counter seating we took advantage of. Perfect diner!

Food and service were exceptionally quick. I am very impressed with how well they turn tables and provide a good dining experience. The food was good. It's not amazing, but good. I would return because I think there is a possibility for a 4th star. All and all, a great place for a morning breakfast. Owner or management also seemed to be very much involved, to that point, my compliments.
The pancakes were the best part however they are huge!! You really only need one cut in 4 and you have a full stack. The chorizo hash was terrible srry. The eggs were scrambled in the pan not a bowl lol. The hashbrowns needed seasoning. All in all I wouldn't go again. Also a bit uncomfortable being the only ethnic couple in the joint w everyone staring seems to be the norm for the area so be prepared for that lol.
Upon recommendations from a local we stopped here for breakfast and could not be happier. The portions were massive and absolutely delicious. If you're on a diet you might want to pass on this place because you'll be blown away by other patrons dishes. Everything was masterfully crafted and was not full of local Saratogians which was a welcomed experience. No waiters wore suspenders nor had awkward mustaches, just a no nonsense breakfast diner.
Cute little stop but could have more efficient service.. staff is nice just slow paced. They tend to run out of menu items so try to get there early.. I was told they were out of apple juice and Sprite. The blueberry pancake I ordered was HUGE. The chorizo hash and cornbread muffin were delicious.
Food was great as always but the waiter was very slow we got our drinks right away from someone else but waited for him to take our order he's not the one who brought our food he never ever checked…

This place used to be one of the best places to eat. I rated it 5 stars in the past... one of our favorite spots. Conditions have changed. The home-fries were so hard and dry that salt and pepper would just bounce right off onto the plate. I'm not sure if they were frozen, just old or way over cooked. Plus, there was no seasoning I could detect. I only ate them because I was gonna pay for them. The corned beef hash wasn't horrible, but that's a pretty low bar. instead of nice chunks of meat, it seems like they sent it through a buffalo chopper. No texture at all, just mushy super finely chopped meat; almost baby food. Same thing here, had to pay for it, so I ate them. Their toast/bread looked homeade in the past. Now it's just out of a bag. To be fair, the eggs were cooked properly and the coffee is good. My wife had a meal as well. I just can't go back there. The quality is simply gone, and $40 for 2 people to eat a poor quality breakfast, it's not worth it. I don't care how much something costs, as long as the quality is there.
It was very hot inside, and very very crowded. I don’t know if the AC didn’t work or if there were just too many people. It is so small. The servers don’t come around to refill the coffee you have to…
Never been here before and probably will never go back. Went there with a couple people And the atmosphere was very dingy. There was bullet holes in the windows. I don’t know what that’s about. Broken seats and dirty salt and pepper. Shakers, food wasn’t that good? could’ve made much better at home coffee tasted like it has been sitting around for days and days on end. It was so bitter and no amount of sugar or creamer can change the flavor and I ordered egg whites which looked like they were cooked in water. there was water on my plate. I don’t know. Everybody says this place is so good. I just don’t understand it. I would never go back.
The first thing that I received was the biggest turn off I've ever had in a restaurant. This is a first in my life I've gotten a drink with pink lipstick still on the rim of cup. Food was standard nothing to go crazy about I got a breakfast sandwich with home fries. the home fires looked to have seasoning on them but I didn't taste anything.my companion did like the avocado eggs Benedict. But they also didn't get ice in their water and I did . They did not request no ice. Probably a one time visit for me after the lipstick interaction. Also whoever said plenty of parking that's not true. One guy got blocked in and would of had to drive straight over a curb in a nice old car. And another old man had to park across the street . There enough room for maybe 8 cars
