My recent dining experience at Outback Steakhouse was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and the staff greeted me with warm hospitality. Great food, great service, good price for great tasting steak
We had a long wait but after that everything worked out well. The Chimichurri Filet was delicious, Our server was very attentive and she kept our drinks full without even asking. We didn’t have to wave a single time.

Always a great experience here. We’ve made it a tradition to eat here for birthday celebrations and they never disappoint. Always great seating, amazing service, and the food is always to be our liking. I highly recommend coming here when you’re in the mood for steak or ribs. But do reserve a table ahead of time as it can get packed
Let me start off by saying Sunday evening Outback was still lively. There is plenty of parking. The vibe is very chill. You can go in dressed up or dressed casually. Now the aspect of dining. First off we walked in at the same moment a door dasher did. The hostess took the name of the person for the door dasher, then she politely let him know she was going to seat us and would be right with him. This in itself is exceptional. Most places will help the dasher before the person dining in. She was polite to the dasher and to us. Second, our server Brandon, went above and beyond the whole entirety of the time we spent there. He made no complaints of our questions or our curiosities. He explained everything thing from the Aussie Shark drink to my weird requests. His hospitality did not go unnoticed. His kindness and patience ways to us are very appreciated. Third, Miss Laurie the manager, her knowledge and welcoming vibe was very appreciated. Her staff, unfortunately did not get her name, grabbed her so that she could hear us rave about the whole meal. She even explained to us the preparation of the meat, and recommended some items on our next trip over. The staff and food is overall amazing. Prices are decent. The vibe of the restaurant is not rushed but very chill. The music is on but not obnoxious. The TVs in the bar area are nice sized and clear. The steaks are cooked to perfection, with a seasoning you'll know you're at Outback. The chicken with or without the amazing BBQ sauce was juicy and tender, with great flavors. Baked potato is seasoned throughly on the outside so every bite you get is seasoned. Salads come with the right amount of dressing and fresh veggies. The thunder from down under dessert was amazing end to the whole meal. It compliments the food nicely. One is enough for two people. I can not rave enough about Outback. Brandon, I hope you see this and know that your customer service and attention to detail does not go unnoticed. Thank you for keeping our drinks filled, answering all our questions, and being the amazing human you are. It was so appreciated tonight. Thank you for making our date night. Laurie, you have an amazing team and great establishment, with amazing food. Thank you.
From start to finish our experience was really nice yesterday. We went for our anniversary and Niko was our server. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive without being overbearing. Our drinks never ran out, all of our courses came within a very well timed manner, and we constantly had other servers and bussers stopping by to clear plates and refill anything needed. A manager also stopped by to check on us about half way through dinner. The food was delicious, fresh and hot. As a former server it was top notch service across the board- thank you guys for the great night.

Stopped by since the wife was craving outback, this location is clean and efficient. The servers and staff are amazing here. They attended us quick and the food was delicious. Thank you for the amazing food and service you delivered. Would definitely be coming back when I’m in town.

This was mine and my wife's first time eating at this place. We always have wanted to try it out, but never did. Today we did and we are so glad that we did! Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! This was definitely some of the best tasting food we both have ever had. We will definitely be coming by more often!
Full house when we showed up, wait time was about 10 minutes for seating. Our server was on his game, very attentive and quick with his service. Our server kept our drinks full, and made sure all the extras we asked for were provide upon request.
I love love outback I used to live in Folsom Calif there was 1 in Rancho Cordova like 15 minute drive always went then moved to Maui and been here 16 years there was a outback here always went then they closed so sad 😞 now when we go to the mainland always go to outback 🙁🤙🏽
I was very pleased with my appetizer and entree that came out. We had the blooming shrimp and they came to our table hot and ready. Our server Brandon did a great job with making sure that our experience was pleasant and warm.

Been one of my favorite places to eat in Bakersfield for a very long time. The staff is always super welcoming and on point! The bread in butter is to die for! Me and my family love it here and will continue coming for great food and great people.

Excellent! Probably the best Ribeye I have had at any of the Outbacks! I usually do not finish the inner lean part of Ribeye (usually a little dry? I like a little marbling =), but this one was very juicy! Great! Only problem w atmosphere (only 4 stars) was very noisy large family next to us...
Celebrated our anniversary with a tender ribeye and delicious prime rib dinner cook to perfection. They have the best Wedge salad, which I enjoyed very much. Finish our delightful evening with a delicious pallet pleasing cheesecake and Sparkling wine. Service was outstanding. Thank you all for such a memorable evening. Looking forward to many more delightful dinners.

We were on a road trip and stopped at this Outback. We sat at the bar and had the absolute BEST service! Unfortunately, we didn't catch his name but he was attentive, nice, on top of clearing plates, drink refills and more. He even split our salad for us. I haven't been to an outback in probably 20+ years but I would definitely go back to this one!
We had a reservation for Valentine’s Day at 7 PM. I called outback in advance to see if I can have flowers delivered for my fiancé. I Spoke to the manager, Laurie, who was more than happy to oblige. When we arrived at seven, and I gave the hostess my name they were so excited about showing us to the booth with the bouquet of flowers on it. Laurie, the manager came and introduced herself to us and to our server Michael who was amazing. I feel this outback is one of the best I’ve ever been to as I travel around the country. Five stars from me.! You just don’t get that kind of Customer Service anymore
We had a great experience at Outback Steakhouse overall. Our server, Marco, was very attentive and on top of everything the entire time. He was friendly, professional, and made sure we were taken care of. He also brought out bread with butter right away, which was a great start. Anthony brought out our plates and honestly added so much to the experience. He was super funny, personable, and joking around with us. He had great energy and made us feel really welcome. The environment itself is really nice, but it is pretty dark inside. Once you’re seated, if you’re short like I am, the lighting can be a little awkward. The light sits kind of right in your face unless you lean back. I wish it were just a bit brighter overall, but not harsh or right up close. As for the food, it was amazing. I ordered the Aussie meal that comes with soup or salad and I chose the soup. The chicken tortilla soup was incredible. It came out super hot and was absolutely delicious. I also had the 9 oz sirloin with mashed potatoes, and it was honestly to die for. It was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. For dessert, I got the raspberry cheesecake and it was super good as well. When I signed up for rewards, we also got a free blooming onion and it was super, super good. The sauce it came with was delicious. My fiancé ordered the fried chicken sandwich and loved it. The fries were really good too. I wish I would have taken pictures, but we were starving and inhaled our food as soon as it came out. Overall, great food, great service, and a fun experience. Definitely recommend.
Came here for valentines with my daughter and wife. We absolutely loved the food and service! We usually go to Texas Roadhouse, but might actually come here more often now lol

Recently had dinner at The Outback. While the restaurant was busy , the host and the wait staff were very efficient in getting people seated for dining . After being seated we were waited on by Mason , a very efficient waitress, who gave us some very helpful suggestions for our dining experience. She recommended the House Italian which is a mustard vinegar dressing ( delicious!) Our meal, the sirloin with grilled shrimp was a culinary delight. I highly recommend The Outback for a good steak and or shrimp.
My husband has a food allergy and the manager went above and beyond to make sure his meal was prepared correctly. She then came to check on us after the meal. It was very much appreciated.
The food was delicious. The service was the best. Lexi was our server and she was so very attentive. We will definitely be going back. I can't wait to try some of their other dishes. I love the warm Squaw bread they bring out before you get your food, so yummy, so soft, so fresh and warm. My grandson ordered the ribs. They were full off the bones tender and the barbecue sauce was good and a little bit spicy. I had a loaded, baked potato and a bloody mary. He shared one of his ribs with me. 😋 Their prices were very good for a steakhouse, and they do have some early bird specials. If you download their app, you get a free appetizer which I'll use the next time I go.

Came to eat a late lunch with the Mrs while we were out shopping. We both got the sirloin steak with the baked potato and salad. Food was great. Steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. My favorite when I come here is the tangy tomato dressing. If you haven’t tried it give it a try. Absolutely my favorite dressing at this place. Service was great and our waiter was very attentive. Place was clean and nice. Will come back for sure
Went back on May 3rd, 2025 and our waiter JUAN was AMAZING.. I liked how he was very attentive and on top of our refills and bringing our requested things... (Previous Review) Never a disappointment... What I dislike is that they're slowly closing down restaurants around California... I can't part away from those delicious deep fried blooming onions... And the steak with loaded mash yuuuuum
I visited this location a few times in the last three months and the service has always been impeccable. I am especially impressed with the service of Nico. He recognized me since the second time he saw me and he always has great recommendations for drinks. Nico never fails to impress with the taste of his drink mixes. I highly recommend the Old Fashioned and the Rum & Coke. The food always tastes great, comes out quick, and has been consistent throughout the times I've visited. Overall, this restaurant has been my favorite in Bakersfield for the calm atmosphere, the food, and the people working here.
Sam was our server and she was amazing. The food was good. The steak was cooked to perfection. But the lobster a bit over cooked. The coconut shrimp was soooo good. The batter on the chicken strips was definitely not something we would reorder. The taters underseasoned and the Mac and cheese was definitely their own recipe. But other then that the food was good. Desert was good and our server was great. Will return
From a long drive we decided to stop and get something to eat. As we don’t have any Outback Steakhouse in Canada anymore we thought we would try it. The food was good and very filling! Our server was very polite and didn’t rush us to make our meal decision. Having a nice corner booth that both hubby and I could talk was perfect. He had the smothered chicken and I had 2 lobster tails. Yummm I just found the blooming onion very greasy and wasn’t enjoyable as I remembered. Other than that service and the rest of the food was very good. The hostess greeting us when we arrived with a big smile and afterwards thanking us for coming was a nice. 😀
I Love the food but I hated the atmosphere it feels dead and lonely, the service is amazing especially when they take your order nice and clam, the food comes out nice and hot ready to eat but also fully cooked. The place is a 4 star due to feeling outdated and whatnot but yes worth the time and money to eat their.
Ordered a steak well done, it was very tasty, the sides were good. Lobster with butter sauce were way too salty. The service was great! The atmosphere felt too dark and the booths are very small and a bit uncomfortable. Overall the food wasn’t too bad.
Food was good, Outback is pretty consistent. For $29.00 you can't beat the steak and chicken combo. If I'm being honest, it was the service that made the meal. Our server was fast, friendly, and really on top of things! In today's out of hand tipping culture, this was a situation where I was happy to leave a generous tip! Keep up the good work Outback, I'll be seeing you soon:)
There was a small wait but they brought around small samples to keep everyone happy which was nice. The steak I ordered was very good (sirloin medium) cooked to my wish. Very friendly staff as well which made the experience way better. The prices are maybe a bit too high for the sizes of the dishes. Still I would come here again!
This restaurant feels discriminatory towards bigger people. I'm a good sized guy and a good meal is made better with comfortable seating. I asked for a half and half table and felt like they just stuck me at the smallest table that doesn't move. They have chairs but take a look at these seats. Talk about pain in the sides.
The famous blooming onion always a hit and miss, ordered the rib-eye and was not as tender and flavored as other equal restaurants. I believe it may have been frozen and not fresh. The service was very well done and food was delivered in a timely manner.

Short wait on a Monday evening. Waitress showed up promptly. Good selection of dishes and attractive prices. Had the French onion soup as a starter and it was very decent. Good flavor, plenty of cheese. I was still working on the generous portion of soup when they tried to serve me my steak, which I found inappropriate since I consider steakhouses upper class restaurants. I asked to have it kept warm and when I was ready for it they served it promptly. It was the rib eye shrimp combo. The shrinks were not very large and clearly overcooked. The rib eye was decent, but had a lot of fat, even high for a steak this cut. When I mentioned that and the overcooked shrimps to the waitress, she apologized, but then offered no compensation or asked her manager to check in. Instead, I was almost immediately presented with the bill. No inquiry about dessert or anything else. Overall disappointing.
This is the third time I have been to Outback over the last 3 months. For whatever reason my family has asked to go on birthdays. The first thing I am going to say is that on all three occasions we went on the weekend and I tried to order the Classic Prime Rib and on all visits the did not have any. I was told, all three times, quite rudely, "We only have a limited supply." However, in all three cases my family and I were there at about 5:30ish pm. That should be on the early side to a prime dinner rush. It is ridiculous that they should be out...but ok...limited supplies. The last time we my party of 7 was stuffed into a booth and wer literally sat shoulder to shoulder. But, we are a close family...so meh. No biggie. I asked for coffe and was told that they were out of creamer. Ok...not the end of the world, but unusual. I understand that these things happen...i'm sure they were surprised as well. I saw the manager walking around and I thought it might be good for me to tell the manager about the issue (A captain can't right the ship if they don't know there is an issue). My daughter ordered the Filet Mignon and asked for it medium rare. Now...I like to cook...but I am no expert. However, I would have bet money that what my daughter got was chuck shoulder. It was tough to cut. Again, I am no expert, but I am pretty sure my daughter was not served a Filet Mignon...but we were surely charged for one. Now, to be clear, I was not looking for a deduction in my bill or a free meal or anything like this. I was simply trying to let the manager know there was a few issues and for a place like Outback that charges pretty top teir prices for a chain restaurant that perhaps it should be something she looked into. Although the manager never removed the smile from her face I was hit with a barrage of excuses and told in no uncertain terms that as far as the Prime Rib goes I should have been earlier as it is while supplies last. When I dared to suggest that perhaps they should order enough for them to at least make it to the dinner rush. I was again hit with more excuses. I was assureed that the filet mignon was filet mignon and as for our seating, well, that is just what they had and "Yep, we are out of creamer, I can get you a cup of milk". All in all our meal was just ok. Nothing to write home about. However, for what we paid I expect far better service and seating that accomodates us. As for my interaction with the manager. It was not rude or disrespectful. However, it was so poor that this will be the last time we eat at Outback in our city.
Steak was way over seasoned. When we told our server, he just said, "yeah that's how they do it." When they did replace it it was way over cooked, asked for medium and was so over cooked could barely chew it, didn't even tell the server because of his attitude previously.
We had an extremely disappointing experience while dining at the bar. The bartender, David, was incredibly unprofessional and rude. His attitude made us feel unwelcome. It’s unfortunate because we were looking forward to a good time, but his poor behavior ruined the entire experience. I won’t recommend this place to anyone based on how we were treated.
I was picking up an Uber eats order at the outback steakhouse when I was racially profiled and treated very belittled by a member of management. Management is supposed to be a representation of the company. She had a light blue shirt on and a black cropped Bob haircut. I had let her know my order and she looked me up and down and said that she needed to see the order to verify. I showed her the order and she condescendingly insisted that she needed to see all the details of the order to verify it. It was as if she was accusing me of lying and did not believe I was there to pick up an order. After which she finally got the order , and barely wanted to give me the bags. I feel as though I had this type of experience because I am a young black woman coming to pick up an order under a name that did not sound like my own that I was treated very rudely when just trying to perform my job.
The person who sat us had great customer service. Everybody else sucked! Our server spoke low so we often had to lean in to figure out what he was saying, on top of his accent it was difficult to make out what was being said. He brought us bread & butter with hair in it. BEFORE saying something about it we made sure it couldn’t have come from us by checking the curl/color of the hair. It wasn’t ours. The manager looked at us like we were dumb & spoke to us in a condescending way when we asked them to take some money off the bill. That’s the way things work. You make a mistake, you fix it. Period. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend!
I ordered curbside pickup and arrived early for my order but no one was around so after waiting for a few minutes past the pick up time. I went inside to retrieve my order since no one greeted me curbside (this annoyed me). I ordered wings because I loved the seasoning and let’s just say I didn’t get beyond that. They were raw and I bit into a piece that was still bleeding. None of my food was hot either! Not the steak, shrimp or veggies. I threw out everything but the wings for proof. After speaking with the manager over the phone the next day she didn’t seem to care that my food was undercooked, she was robotic with the apology then made an excuse as to why it was undercooked. But no I work in kitchens and this is unacceptable, poultry internal temperature should be reading 165°. She acted as though me asking for a full refund was an issue but came back on the phone and said she would. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unless you want food poisoning.
Looks like the owner or someone in charge deleted my previous review. This metal was found in my food and the restaurant could care less the manager felt it wasn’t a big deal! My child ate this food as well I don’t see how people could be so careless with food! It’s really disheartening! I’ll write this post every day if I have to until somone contacts me with an apology of some sort smh
They double charged my card and tried to blame it on a "bank error".
Th owner Lori is horrible. Shes rude and short tempered. Out of all the outbacks I have been to this one is the worst sadly and the ownership is the issue
The service sucked,I was very disappointed In the service waiter was horrible food was not cooked to my expectations and the manager asked me about my dinner at that was kept to that 1 thing,i was not asked any other questions,I won't be going back and will not recommend this person as a waiter,very ,very disappointed, I should of went to Texas Road House and im .over it.
