Druthers is an exceptional local brewery chain, serving up delicious food and a wide variety of drinks. I had the fried chicken sandwich, which was one of the best I've ever had. Along with the Big Mac Mac Balls, my meal was very good. My waitress, Ashley, provided great service as well. But you can't forget about their milkshakes, which of course are just as good as the food. This specific location is located conveniently in a plaza with plenty of parking. If you're looking for a delicious meal or a drink, Druthers is the place to come!

We came here to enjoy their food and to try some local beers. Great selections of beers, but surprisingly no porters or stouts to choose from. And there were great options of food to choose from. Parking was easy. There was a free parking garage across the street from this brewery with only a short walk. The atmosphere was relaxing. They have a large open garage style doors that were open from the inside to the outside that allowed a breeze to blow through the restaurant. You had a choice to sit inside or outside. They had some Adirondack chairs around a fire pit that we sat in after we ate and we had an outside view to enjoy. Overall a great experience. We ordered their burger, and it was served as ordered and tasted great. And we shared appetizers that were all good. Great friendly service. And if you like any of their beers you are able to take home some of their various selections of 4 pack cans.

This place has some delicious drinks and food!! The boozey milkshakes were my favorite!! Great selection of seasonal beers as well. Food was so good and came out quickly. Very friendly servers. If I’m ever visiting from Jersey again, I’ll definitely return here.

Quiet lunch today, not very busy. Food and drinks were all delicious. My tea cocktail was very balanced and not sweet, which is appreciated. The server was helpful with questions and everything came out perfectly. Mediterranean salad with salmon was amazing. Always a good meal here.

Stopped in for a quick bite. The location was a little difficult to find once we parked (Parking was decent). Our bartender Leeana was very nice and attentive. She informed us of portion sizes and that we can do half sizes on the sides..which I'm glad she did. I order a half size of Mac and cheese...Thank God..the portion was more than I expected and the mussels...so good! Hubby ordered the chicken sandwich, which he enjoyed. Her recommendation on beers based on what hubby and I regularly drink, was spot on! The ambiance was very nice, bathrooms clean. Will definitely come back.

Druthers in Schenectady is definitely in a convenient location and has an easygoing bar-and-grill vibe that feels cute and welcoming. The menu is on the shorter side, which I actually appreciate...it feels intentional, like they’re focusing on doing a few things well rather than stretching too far. The bar menu, especially the beer selection, is excellent. If you’re there for drinks, it’s a great spot. They only offer about three mocktails, which could use some expansion, but honestly, just having mocktail options at all is a win in my book. Service was great on our first visit. On our second visit, about two weeks later, it could have used some improvement. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, and it felt like we may have been forgotten at times. That said, the food has been consistently accurate and came out exactly as ordered. We’ve tried quite a bit: poutine fries, chicken tacos, the mac and cheese flight, buffalo mac and cheese, chicken pot pie, and the nachos. Everything was solid. The chicken pot pie was comforting, though I personally would’ve loved a bit more crust and slightly less Italian seasoning, but that’s just personal preference. Overall, it’s a great place for a quick bite with solid food, good drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

Druthers Brewing Company in Schenectady, conveniently located near events held at M&T Bank Center, has some mighty fine brews on tap. The food is really good here too. Where I found issue was with the inattentive and slow bartender, and server, who spent a great amount of time conversing with each other. For food, I went with the Crispy Cheese Curds which had the perfect contrast of a crunchy outside texture and a soft and chewy inside, followed by the delicious Blackened Blade Swordfish Tacos. My favorite brew was the Scottish-Style 80 Shilling Ale. I would have liked to have had one more before heading to the arena but I was never approached to see if everything was okay or if I wanted anything else. All said, I would definitely come back again another time when I’m at the arena, but if I had my druthers the service would be a little more attentive. Recommended.

First visit to not just Druthers Schenectady but Druthers in general. Sat at the bar and had appetizers and drinks. My husband and I shared the bang bang shrimp and the famous pretzels with beer cheese. For drinks, I had peach cider which I think was their own and my husband got a spicy margarita. Both drinks were great. The peach cider was very light. Portion for the pretzels was a little much for two people. I would recommend if you are with a bigger group.

Druthers has nice ambiance and great service. The food was decent, I think it could be improved in some ways. The flatbreads here are good, particularly the angry bee which had delicious flavors and a nice crunch- it was more spicy than sweet. Its nice and light with less bread then a regular pizza. The veggie burger was decent but a bit dry (common problem with veggie burgers). I they could do something more with the chicken sandwich, maybe just adding some lettuce or additional toppings. The fries were very good and stayed hot in the container as delivered, as they weren’t spread out on the plate but instead served in a cup. Ive had mac and cheese here on previous visits and its quite heavy. Overall for the ambiance this is a good place to go with a group for american brewery-style food

Great outside patio, large and good ambiance. Good service, our waitress was attentive and friendly. Burger was good according to my son. Waffle nachos also were also good but missing the cheesy aspect. My daughter said the wings were decent. Milkshakes kinda thin, but still good. The main issue was with the salmon Caesar salad and the shrimp scampi. The salad was pretty good, i liked the grapes. But the salmon was just completely sad and flavorless. Like they pulled it out the freezer, flash fried it and threw it on top of the salad. No salt. No lemon. Butter. Nothing. Same with the shrimp scampi, what a disgrace just take it off the menu if you're not going to even attempt to make it properly. Gross. And the nerve to charge 25 bux. No bread or anything, lol. $25? We would have requested a refund but we got it to go so we didnt look at it before leaving. Our mistake. Also, a side of fries $12? That's wild, and they were mediocre. And tiny serving. If i came back it would be at night to check out the bar scene. But wouldn't return for the food. Overpriced and definitely Under delivers.

First the bar staff was 5 stars. This review is about the fact that we were told we were not allowed to sit at a table for appetizers and a drink. I completely get a full service restaurant table when we were not having a full meal…however we were asked when we walked in what our plans were and we let the hostess know, drinks and apps. We were then informed that the manager did not allow those kind of orders anywhere except at the one “family” table they have. We said ok. We spent 80 bucks on three drinks and two apps and when looking around there were multiple tables that were doing the same. It was the weirdest experience I’ve had. The bar staff was amazing…this review is more about what is apparently the managers policy…but seemed like it was only for certain people. Won’t be back.

My overall experience at Druthers in Schenectady was horrible! My family made reservations since we were going to a Union hockey game right down the road. We were sat fairly quickly but our waitress took 10+ minutes before even greeting the table… (i’m not trying to be rude) but her body odor was apparent. We ordered our drinks and apps right away to try and make up for lost time. The apps came out before the drinks… which didn’t arrive for another 5 minutes. I don’t know how you can call yourself a brewery if your beers which you specialize in take 20+ minutes to arrive at the table. Food tasted like middle school cafeteria lunch. The biggest issue of all was the manager who seemed to be frantic throughout the night and let the kitchen workers yell vulgar things which clearly could be heard by tables. It made my family and the tables around us feel extremely uncomfortable. My family won’t be back and will be trying something else next game

Called to place a catering order for a party, was given a quote and said the manager would call back later to verify. Manger did not call back, I had to follow up the next day. Says he should be able to do it no problem, only to call me back again and say I need to place individual orders for 20 people at 5x the price. Apparently just putting a bunch of mac and cheese in a tray at the agreed upon price wasn't an option and now I need to scramble to find an alternative. Great way to lose a long time satisfied customer.

So we ordered food we called over the phone. I gave them precise instructions told them we wanted our wings fried crispy, tossed in Carolina barbecue sauce extra blue cheese extra ranch., We get the food we get home we look in the bag. Nothing is correct. The wings are dry as hell we went back there. They gave us a big attitude acting like they couldn't help us stay far away from this place. The service is not up to par.
