The Best New York city style pizza in this area. The pizza guys are real new Yorkers, one bite of their delicious pizza makes it obvious!!!! So,upon editing this review,let me say these guys make the best pizza in the area, but,the WORST italian sub I've ever had...I ordered an italian sub for dinner tonight,they told me all of the ingredients on the phone..including provolone cheese...they had the balls to charge me $11 for an italian sub,then when I get home there was no provolone cheese on it...I'm learning that around this area,you have to check your order before leaving the place..I'm really dissapointed in this place...😡

It's really awesome pizza. I've been going for more than a year now, and have yet to be disappointed. There used to be a soda machine that for whatever reason mixed particularly well, though now it's just cans. Still one of my favorite pizza places though.

Daily full range of all-yummy pies! My favorites are BBQ chicken, and plain. Great, flavorful crust. Friendliest pizza joint in the area. Six tables inside, more on the new deck. Parking is a challenge, but this is well worth the walk.

We took the kids there tonight. We order one of the specials that came with soda & wings. Order garlic knots on the side. Everything was delicious. Cooked perfectly. It was real pizza, not that stuff they try to pass off as authentic pizza up here. We were born & raised on L.I & we are very picky about our pizza. This was by far the closest to L.I pizza that we have had since we moved up here 10 years ago. The staff was without a doubt the most polite & friendliest of any place we had ever gone to. We had to make a few changes to our order after we ordered (picky kids) & they were more than happy to help. We ate inside the place & the girl that works there even brought the kids over some cheesecake. They were so happy & said it was yummy. lol We all cant wait to go there again. I don't know how they got any bad reviews. This is my 2nd time going there & both times we were more than satisfied with our experience. I already told everyone on FB that they have to go try the food there. The only complaint I have is I wish they were closer to where I live in Amsterdam. Definitely worth the trip though. :)

It's a great little place to have pizza! The staff is friendly, and helpful. The place is nice, and clean. The bathroom is really nice, and clean smells good. The pizza is to die for better than all the other pizzas out there. The only thing is parking there's a small lot next to it, but limited space. There's also the road in front you can park, but watch out for the cars. If your looking for great tasting pizza this is the place for you!

You're out of your mind if you think you've been anywhere better. These people literally made the best food I've had in my entire life. I'm telling you this food put entire Thanksgiving meals to shame. They're friendly as can be and have a nice joint to sit down and eat at the patio. I can't wait to go back, and I just left. Ordered a pizza and garlic knots, it wasn’t what I expected but I can’t blame the restaurant,it seems to be the delivery driver, everything is outsourced nowadays and it seems like nobody wants to work, my knots and Pizza were a little cold when it came but I could tell they were still very good when I had it. Just talked to one of the workers here and he was very understanding. I am not sure where these people who don’t want to work or getting all their money from, all us blue-collar workers have a work ethic and it seems like a lot of other people do not. I’d highly recommend this pizzeria

One of my favorite pizza places. The pizza is delicious and you always get it very quickly. Even though most of the time they are reheating the pizza, it always tastes excellent. The price is also quite good, as you can get several very large slices for 5 - 6 dollars. I would highly recommend their barbecue chicken and buffalo chicken pizza.

We order from the guys every week and we never get a bad pie. They get to know their customers and crack jokes. It’s a real neighborhood pizza joint and I love that. Keep making yummy pies, gentlemen!!

I've had pizza in Chicago, New York City, Texas, and everywhere else that people say it's better in. I'll tell them all today, ILNY Pizza on Union St. is hands-down my favorite pizza. I used to go to this place all the time in high-school and get slices for lunch. I recently returned the other day after a few years. I'm happy to say that their quality is still incredible. Great slices. The guy that is always at the place is a nice dude, but he'll throw any attitude you give him right back at you. He's always been very nice to me. Quality slices at a quality place!

I repeatedly ask myself why this place isn't rated higher. You get fantastic pizza with so many different and creative toppings, pies or slices. Favorites are the buffalo chicken, broccoli and chicken, CBR, vodka sauce and more.... Also the best buffalo wings you can find in Schenectady. Everyone who works there is always friendly. They work extremely hard and efficiently to get you hot pizza on time. Go-to spot for 10 years now! During the warmer weather it's a nice low-key place to sit down and eat with family. Call day ahead for holidays like Halloween, as they have been swamped and aren't able to pick up the phone.

Came to the area from Kansas to visit some family, wanted to experience local NY pizza. We wandered in and immediately started talking with customers and staff about the 2015 KC Royals (beat the Mets!!). They served us even though we're Royals fans! Gave us a sample and instructed us in the proper NY way to fold and enjoy. Pizza was delicious, quick, and economical. Staff was so friendly. Would definitely drive 1,500 miles to come here again, even without family to visit!

I'm a pizza snob. There is no pizza like the pizza in the 50s and 60s in NJ, NYC and CT. So... I'd have to say that while this is a little walk-in place with no claim to atmosphere or over-the-top friendliness, their pizza is great, the price seems low for the value, and the selection is very good. I keep trying other places in the area, and keep coming back to the fact that I Love NY Pizza on Union has the best.

Pizza was 4 bucks a slice (cash is cheaper) and pretty good for what it is. Took a few minutes to reheat and I was out the door. Good place for a quick bite.

I LOVE NEW YORK PIZZA! I love everything at this place and I love the people running it. I must say... the one thing I have an issue with is the garlic knots. I remember these lovely knots being plump, juicy and filled with the g-love. I feel now, that... they have been abandoned and orphaned from mama flavor. I honestly really like the food here, bit I'm not sure what happen to the knots. I will still be a loyal customer🫡

Fast and friendly service. Counter girl was polite and happy. Place was clean, always a plus. Ordered a pepperoni calzone and it was excellent. Hot and filled with lots of cheeses and more pepperoni than I wanted. Actually scooped some out. It was way larger than I thought it would be and so I couldn't finish it. Washed it down with an ice cold bottle of Pepsi. My only dig is that the side sauce was also ice cold, but when asked they gave me fresh hot sauce to dip in. Good place. Makes me want to try their pizza.

I wanted to get a cheese pie, always passed by but never went in. Today I decided to try their pizza. As I walked in 2 guys infront preparing the pizza for pickup /orders etc. As I stood there for about 5 mins without any acknowledgment it made me think and felt less of. Then after I stood there for the most longest 5 mins the guy comes up and says how can I help you. I placed an order for a large 12 cut cheese pie, and order of garlic knots and chicken wings. He took my order as I sat in the restaurant waiting to get my food, about 15 ppl came in after me and was acknowledged/spoken to in less than 1 min or 2. I watched his interaction with each and every person who came there after me. But for me it wasn’t the the same. It made me think because I was a brown woman I stood out in a place like that. For them to not acknowledge me as I walked in there but did for everyone else’s after me. Meanwhile there is a minority working in the back making pizzas. It’s really a shame that human beings still treat other humans beings this way. Yes I’m of color, I’m a paying customer just like all the other ppl who go there. Plz do better next time. This is 2022 and people of color should not be treated this way. Thank you.

They did not even try! The sauce was runny and there was a puddle of water on one side of the box; my pizza was soaked!! I asked for a veggie pizza with no cheese. I was expecting some vegetables; it was just tomato sauce, a few pieces of ill cut green peppers and a pile of tomatoes!!! Disgusting. I'm appalled. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the driver was courteous. Otherwise waste of money, low end of the spectrum on this one. Shame.

Ordered pizza and wings on 2/17/20 and after waiting an hour and forty-five minutes they brought me the wrong order. I called and spoke with someone who promised to remake the pizza I wanted and have it delivered. Then about 15 minutes later the person who was my delivery driver called and said they will refund me the money for the pizza and if I wanted it delivered I have to go and reorder it online. I said just refund my money. I know after that incident I will never order from them again . UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER!

I Love NY Pizza should be embarrassed to have 'NY' in the name of their restaurant. It would benefit them greatly to actually take a trip to NYC to see what REAL pizza is supposed to taste like. I am yet to have good pizza in Schenectady and this place is no exception. The staff is rude, the food is incredibly overpriced, the pizza is mediocre at best and their wings are subpar. I had their delivery person insist that I meet them on the other side of the street because they couldn't find my building; after opening my pizza I found that all the cheese and toppings had slid to one side of the box. When I called to complain they hung up on me as soon as they realized I was not placing an order. I don't understand how this place has remained in business as long as they have been.

I used to love this place but a few months ago they stopped delivering so I stopped ordering. Then I get a mailer saying they deliver so OK I order. They charge 4 bucks for delivery fee and if you order online the lowest tip is 5 bucks. So 9 bucks added to every order. 8 cut pepperoni, 12 wings and 2 liter comes out to around 40.00. I answer the door, the person asks me what I ordered, then doesn't have it all. The food was good but cold. Is that worth a 5.00 tip? See ya!

I do not know what happened but the last 3 times I got pizza here it's been burned and hard now they always have good new York style pizza I'm from down state and I only found 1 place that came close to the pizza I love but now I will not be getting my pizza from here unless they fix this I paid good money for a few pizza ' s so don't order pizza from them

I haven't felt more ripped off on a pizza, in many years. We used to like this place. It is not what it used to be. We paid $21 dollars plus tip, for a pizza I would not value at more than 8 bucks. Our pizza had almost no detectable cheese on it, even though we ordered extra. Toppings were pathetically light, and the dough was tasteless and comprised of 90% of the entire pie. I thought the box was empty when it was handed to me by the driver.. What a rip off!!

Went to location ordered my pizza crispy this guy gives me a burnt pizza pie. I called him to let him know that pizza was burned. He didn’t care never once said I will replace or on your next order you’ll get a pie. Nothing disgusting and he definitely lost a customer.

I went to this place and ordered a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and it was terrible, when I got it home which is approximately 17 blocks away and I went to seperate each slice to serve it for the family and my dinner the cheese seperated from the whole crust of the pizza, also I know what a pizza with extra chees is supposed to look like and it looked nothing like extra cheese was on it, on top of this the cheese smelled terrible. I have seen so many people buying from this establishment and decided if the quality of the pizza I purchased is this bad, I will never again buy anything from this pizza place.

I ordered a pizza with 20 piece chicken wings and a baked ziti with chicken. the wings was alright but the pizza was cold and it looked like it was preheated. Worst delivery I’ve possibly ever experienced. Pizza was ice cold, chicken tenders were burnt to a crisp and inedible. That isn’t even the worst part. The salad. Seems to be an easy item right? So I ordered a chicken parm sub and an order of mild wings. And I can’t say there was anything I enjoyed of either. The chicken parm had the worst quality chicken on it. And the wings had no sauce on it and was frost bitten looking. I called the store to tell them about the wings. And they gave me another order which was pretty much exactly like the first one. There was little to no sauce which looked like oil basically. Probably won’t be ordering from here anymore. It sucks because I used to love there wings. Just to clarify I ordered this on Friday 3/6/20.

Ordered a pizza for delivery at 11:20am. By 12:45pm no pizza. Called and the guy who answered was extremely rude and claimed the driver called me. He didn't. He told me I had to wait that it was on its way. 1:05pm called back and asked when I could expect delivery. He said it was on its way. Around 1:30pm I called back and said there was no pizza still. He told me (or rather yelled at me) that if I didn't like it I could cancel my order. I said "no, i prefer to just have my pizza." He said again it's on its way. I told him "No offense, but I've been being told that for a while." He started yelling at me telling me "No food for you. You call all day, i give you no food." I was shocked. I said "That's really rude! You shouldn't be so rude to your customers" He yelled at me again and said "I cancel your order, no food for you." and hung up. My husband called back and said "Look, if it's not on its way yet, we don't want it." (This was around 1:45pm) The guy on the phone said "Well, it's on its way so you'll have to take it." We waited another 5 minutes and left to go to a different pizza place. At 2:10pm the driver called "I have your pizza." C'mon 3 hours! And honestly... I've had this pizza before and it isn't good at all. We only ordered there because my husband was craving pizza and we thought our regular place was closed. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.

Worst service I've ever had. Ordered a pizza at 6:55pm, the delivery time said 7:53pm. We called at 8:20pm because our pizza was still not delivered to us, they said it's on it's way already. Another 20 minutes went by so we called back and said our pizza still isn't here and we ordered it almost 2 hours ago, they didn't apologize or anything, they scrambled to make up an excuse and said oh it's right here it'll be there in 10-15 mins, we only live 5 minutes from I love New York pizza. So at that point we were furious and said how is that even possible and then they hung up on us! So rude.

This establishment has changed owners in the past two weeks. Always had a great experience previously...last night ordered pizza and wings...asked for extra cheese on both and pepperoni on one. The wings were extremely salty. I looked at my receipt after my boyfriend got home with the food and it was way more then expected. Now I dont have a problem paying for toppings at all but neither one of the pizzas had extra cheese on it. The pizza we ordered a couple weeks ago had the amount of cheese you would expect to get when you are paying for extra toppings. When I called to discuss my concerns they were extremely unprofessional and could care less. So sad to cross off what used to be a great place to get food.

I will never order from this place again! Other reviewers have said as well, quality has gone in the toilet lately. The employees are rude when you place an order, that can be overlooked I guess if the quality and price is good, however, not the case here. Prices have gone way up. Pizza arrived nearly folded in half when I called to complain, the "manager" yelled at me, as if I had made this lousy Pizza. Don't waste your time and money, there are plenty of places all over town that know how to treat their customers with respect.

Been going here since it opened. Used to love it in high school pizza and wings were good enough to oversee the horrible customer service. But the quality has steadily declined over the years, I only called tonight because they're cheap and would deliver and it's snowing. This is only the second time since moving into my new house and obviously will be the last. After taking my address, order and payment over the phone, they called back half an hour later to say they wouldn't deliver to my house, even though they did the last time I ordered there, when I told the owner that he started a yelling match saying I obviously had the wrong place (once again, been ordering there for 15 years) and when I told him I only cared about getting my money back he hung up the phone. So now I have to monitor my account everyday to make sure the money gets put back... it used to be worth it, it isn't at all anymore. Piss poor customer service served with soaked through pizza and burnt wings. Take my advice and go to Nikki P's not much different in price and so much better on all counts.

I have ordered from here a couple of times, mostly because I like to give places a chance. Each time, the pizza came with a paper thin crust, and was watery to the point that it was falling apart- both the Sicilian and regular pizzas. Very disappointed, and will definitely not be ordering again.

Tried to call to order a pizza. Have the guy on the phone and he refused my order. Says “you need to place the order online.” Why!? I got you on the phone now!? Anyways I’ll be calling somewhere else from now on. Good business strategy guys. Maybe provide both options? I don’t know just a thought.

Terrible. Can't call in with an order then when we went online to place it we got a call 20 min later saying they no longer make a marsala calzone but then still charged me for it even though we had to change it to just mushrooms and then it comes and it's just plain cheese the dough was more like a cracker in taste and texture. Terrible. This was our favorite pizza place and within a week or 2 they've gone completely into the toilet.

Ok, so we get food here every once in awhile. We usually pick it up but lastnight I couldn’t. I ordered a meatball sub and mozzarella sticks. They told me it would be delivered by 6:50.. (I checked at 6:50 & 7) Well, I never got a notification or a phone call when they delivered my food, nor did anyone knock or ring the doorbell. My food ended up sitting outside for however long bc I didn’t see it on the porch.. I ended up going out and seeing it about 7:25pm... I opened mozzarella sticks, they were cooked to the point where there was no cheese, the marinara sauce was water. And the meatball sub had no cheese, the meatballs tasted old. & the sub was burnt.. & my food was cold.. so I had one mozzarella stick and a bite of my sub, 35$ later I wasn’t pleased at all.

Have ordered from here in the past and loved it. Never again. Online ordering with the Slice app had never been a problem. Ordered at 3 for a 5:15 delivery so I could get my son out trick or treating. At 6:00, the app still said the driver was picking up the order. By my second call at 6:30, I was told the second driver had canceled the order. Not only could I not reach anyone AT the store, I was given an excuse that the driver had had an accident (they don’t have contingency plans for this, I guess). I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. At least I got a full refund, which is the only reason I am giving one star.

I ordered food on 2/28/25 was for delivery said it was set for 6:30 pm at 6: 45 the slice delivery person was still not here I called and found out they. Claimed it had been delivered I explained I was outside and nothing. Got a refund,but I live the food but never ordering from them as long as they are use this delivery service food was stolen. Hope the person enjoyed it!!

This used to be our favorite pizza place. Drove out there to surprise my husband with it and made the mistake of not checking it until I got home. There’s a pound of sauce on it and the cheese wasn’t even melted. When we called them back they told us it “wasn’t their fault we didn’t like it.” Yeah well, wasn’t my fault it wasn’t cooked. I understand mistakes happen, but that customer service was horrendous.
