We were visiting from Georgia and took a nice walk from the hotel down along Lake Union by the Wooden Boats, Museum ships, MOHAI. We watched the shore and water birds and the DeHavilin Caribous land and fly around. Saw the Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant across the street from the streetcar stop and decided to try it for a “light” lunch. As it turned out, the food and service were so great that we ended up spending more time relaxing over a very tasty and enjoyable meal than we originally planned because everyone was so nice and everything we ordered exceeded our expectations because it was fresh tasting and delicious. Service from both the server Patrick and the kitchen were quick and extremely responsive, so we expanded our dining experience to profit from the generous hospitality. Patrick was particularly attentive and informative. The other service staff were alll friendly and attentive as well. As we apparently hit a lull for the staff , the manager, who was Patrick as well, also checked on us 3 times. The individual size portions were generous enough for sharing or leftovers, making the meal extremely economical. We had a lovely meal! I highly recommend you enjoy this excellent experience as well! :)
family-friendly and delicious! We had a fantastic experience at Buca di Beppo! Even though we didn't have a reservation, the staff was incredibly accommodating and the service was both friendly and amazing. Our server was hilarious - the kids absolutely loved him, which made the meal so much more enjoyable. The food was great across the board. We especially enjoyed the meatballs, the pasta, and the soup. But the real showstopper was the dessert! I didn't even catch the name of it on the menu, but it was massive and loaded with brownies, ice cream, and whipped cream. We will definitely be back for more!
My daughter turned 18 and we went to Seattle for her birthday trip. All she wanted was fettuccine Alfredo. Decided to try Buca. Our service was amazing!!! Josh was our server and he was funny attentive and really went above and beyond. The food was good. Pretty standard chain restaurant pasta. The meatballs were great, as was the cheese bread. The experience was great but mainly because of our fantastic service!!! Truly wonderful.
Best grilled chicken I have ever had. Flat pizza is exactly the flavor I wanted. Pricilia is very friendly and shared interesting details about food and the restaurant. Would definitely go back!
The service was great! I went into the restaurant with pretty decent expectations and this place was fantastic. The tacky decor made up for the vibes and the food portions were huge. Do not go there solo unless you want to do a challenge. Food portions are ideal for 3 to 4 people. The service was quick and the food tastes great.
EXPENSIVE!!! But it was Valentines Day and they had the Love Feast. The salad was boring. Garlic bread... cold and hard. The lasagna was in the shape of a heart and so much fun!!! It was good! And the tiny cannoli were delicious!!!! We had leftovers, but it would be nice to have a smaller version for just two.
It was all fantastic. The staff the atmosphere. The food was wonderful. Best Alfredo sauce I’ve ever had and a nostalgic atmosphere which might turn off some people, but I found it rather enduring. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody in the area. It is served not for an individual but for groups of people so make sure you realize.
What an amazing restaurant!! Had a great dinner for 2 with Fluffy as our server! The pear and prosecco spritz was my favorite!! We had lots of left overs, so come with the family!!
My family took a trip to Seattle and decided to eat dinner at Buca di Beppo. Not only was the food amazing, but our server, Priscila made the experience one we will never forget. We were the last customers of the night, so she gave us a tour of the restaurant. By the time we left I felt like we were part of the family. Highly recommend this place.
Had the whole place to ourselves for a while. Service was on point. Atmosphere was superior. Food was like the waiter said very large portions and meant to be shared.
Coming here is sort of a family tradition and we are never disappointed. With an old authentic Italian vibe from the moment you enter, they are ready to greet you with a smile at the door. Portions of food you ask, well, let me tell you, be ready to eat and share cause they don’t skimp out on the portions sizes. Their dishes are freshly cooked and everything is amazing. You will leave fat & happy, no doubt! I highly recommend taking your family, this restaurant will accommodate large gatherings and celebrations. Be sure to take advantage of the free parking at the park. There is also the option for paid parking with just a few minutes walk away. Take a walk by the water once you nice and full, what a great way to end an amazing meal.
My partner and I went for a random date night and everything was wonderful. We absolutely loved our server Hannah!! We will be asking for Hannah when we return! The food was delicious, neither of us had been in a few years, and we went early enough that it was a nice relaxed environment.
Is been years since I wanted to visit this restaurant. We had an incredible experience with food, drinks and service. Patrick was phenomenal and I had the best old fashioned ever. I recommend buca di Beppo 100%
We came to Buca di Beppo for a birthday dinner and it was an absolutely special night. The moment we walked in and saw the classic vinyl checkered tablecloths, we knew the food was going to be amazing—and it was! The family-style portions are huge and perfect for sharing. For our group of six, we ordered four dishes: the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Quattro al Forno, and Spicy Arrabbiata Pizza. Every single one was delectable, and we cleared all the plates! My personal favorites were the Arrabbiata Pizza and the Rigatoni. We also enjoyed rounds of Joe's Old-Fashioned and a delicious Tiramisu for dessert. The service was top-notch. Our server was hilarious and entertained us with jokes throughout the night. The staff even came out and sang "Happy Birthday" for my brother, making the night feel even more special. Overall, this was a truly wonderful experience!
Came with a rowdy group 10 and Anna handled our group with speed have and humor! Would totally come back. Fantastic food . Portions are massive and two people can share one meal.
We visit Buca every time we are in Seattle. The food is always fresh and so good, and the portions for the price can't be beat. The environment makes you feel like you've stepped back in time, but it is always clean. I want to be buried with the tiramisu - incredible! Tonight, we had Fluffy as our server - what a great waiter and a nice guy. I hope he's there the next time we come, hopefully very soon!
I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The food was outstanding—flavorful, well-prepared, and served in very generous portions. Our server, crispy/Vicky, was attentive, friendly, and truly enhanced our visit. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and well-maintained. Given the quality of both the food and service, the prices are absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!"
Wonderful food and experience! Priscila and Fluffy were amazing!! So kind and great recommendations!
This excellent review is brought to you by Rafael's amazing service and wonderful food, I want to put that at the top because the right people make the best places really happen. The atmosphere, staff and food are exceptional. This place has it all. A nice bright dining room with a warm dim bar area giving perfect options for atmosphere for everyone. When they tell you the portions are big, they mean it. The portions and quality absolutely justify the pricing which is a true deal when you experience this place. We had the Chicken prosciutto and baked ziti along with a side of garlic bread as well as Meat sauce gravy and alfredo sauce to dip the bread. Our server, Rafael, giving us excellent menu advice and service really made the whole experience perfect. We will be coming back and sharing this place with anyone who visits Seattle with us.
A1!! Came here for my daughter's birthday . Lovely spacious 2 story restaurant ,interesting pictures wall to wall, overlooking S. Lake Union. Luxury yet down to earth atmosphere with VERY LARGE servings of anything ordered ! Great staff 🍲🍨👩🍳😋🍾
Nick was the greatest server I have ever had in Seattle. The restaurant was amazing. Plus the food was the greatest Italian food in Seattle. In all I had a great time here
Fun family style Italian food. All food is good. Large portions. Lots to look at inside restaurant.
Celebrated Father's Day during our visit. It's been years since my family and I have gone to a Buca di Beppo, but food was still reminiscent of the last time we ate at one! Wish there were more locations around WA, because we don't often go up to Seattle. P.s. They serve family style, so a regular size could feed up to 4 people. If more, they have a Buca Big size. We ordered five dishes all regular size for a group of six people and still had a good amount of leftovers. We had 2 extra little kiddos but they ordered separately from the kids menu.
Enjoyed eating here ...its got lots of seating areas inside and outside .....ideal for large families, gatherings .....the food is old style Italian and very sharable....its got lots of options even vegetarian options.... its got good value for feeding alot of people at the table potions are bigger then a average restaurant. They got a upstairs area too
came here for my first time, was in the city and wanted to try something new. our server anna was amazing! i loved the environment and the looks of everything. and the food was super good as well.
Priscila was our waitress and she was amazing!! Also lani the manager was super nice and even gave us a drink we ordered that we didn’t like for free! Super friendly staff, the food was also super good!
For a party of 9, Josh and Priscilla helped us with the parfect amount of food. Perfect for a family reunion when you don't want to cook. Food was delicious and the service was great. We are definitely coming back.
Amazing food! But most of all Priscilla did an amazing job!!! Full of energy. She had us feel like we were home having a truly an amazing table.
Fluffy provided some of the best service I have ever received. I am a travelling restaurant manager and work hard for my money and extremely appreciate fluffy. They went above and beyond for my service. The kitchen did fantastic as well all the food was delicious. But I appreciated the most after a long day of travel and avoiding airport food to come here and be treated so well. As a manager I would do everything in my power to assure fluffy was taken care of and worked in my establishment for as long as he wanted. May he live a 1,000 years
We came for a late night birthday celebration. Service was really great. Patrick was so welcoming and fun on the phone and in person and made some great suggestions. I forgot my purse in the restaurant and the staff kept it safe in the office until I came to get it ten minutes after closing. I didn’t get the closer’s name but he was also so friendly and nice about getting it back to me despite the fact that it was after hours. Colossal brownie sundae had about a 60/40ish ice cream to brownie ratio by volume. Definitely enough for four. Comes with optional candles and birthday song if you want.
We had such a great experience thanks to Lani, the manager. She was warm, professional, and super attentive. She checked in on us, made sure everything was taken care of, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Her customer service truly stood out and made the whole visit memorable. Highly recommend!
This was my first time here and everything was explained, from the portion sizes to the ingredients. Priscilla was an amazing waitress she went above and beyond for us and made it a date night to remember. We left with our tummy’s happy! Will definitely be returning.
It was our first time eating here and I must say that our meal was amazing! I had the chicken limone with broccoli. The chicken was juicy and the amount of savory was delicious. The broccoli had the good amount of al dente with a hint of the red crushed pepper was spot on. Our server Patrick was the best and he made our experience a plus 5 and the chef Edgar was no exception! We're hoping to return to Washington soon and bring our family to experience the good food and amazing service. The lasagna and other entrees were good as we discussed it as we were leaving the restaurant. It has peeked our interest and we're hoping to try them in Southern California.
Ordered Thanksgiving dinner takeout which was fantastic. Thought they forgot the pumpkin pies in our bag so I drove back and they gave me our pies plus a bonus pecan pie no charge. When I got home I realized I did indeed have the pies in our order and when I called back and tried to pay I was told “we knew you had the pies but didn’t want to stress you out on thanksgiving.” It was my mistake but I was met with outstanding customer service! Will definitely be back!!
Delizioso meal! All around attentive and positive experience! Priscila was a “Golden Nugget”, no doubt an outstanding Server with the Most Delightful and Genuine personality! My Birthday celebration was incredibly well rounded with The Amazing Meal and Incredible Service! Thank you, for the Beautiful dinner🎉
Me and my family had an incredible experience. It was busy but our waiter was so attentive and calm. He knew the menu so well and gave us perfect recommendations. I believe his name was Nick and I will be asking for him every time!
It's one of the oldest Italian restaurants in downtown Seattle and is worth trying for. They serve everything in huge portions, best for either a party or family treat. We went on a weekend and it didn't require any reservations as the restaurant has a huge dining place. We were served by a Server named Brandon, though he stated that we will be getting bread as complimentary however we never received that. We ordered Mozzarella Cheese bread, Fried Calamari as Starters. They were good in taste and quantity. For our main course, We ordered Penne Alla Vodka and Chicken Parmigiana which tasted well too. Their Tiramisu is home made and worth trying for. Overall, It was a good experience. They should play some good music.
Buca di Beppo is like an Italian Applebee's or Red Robin with very kitschy decor. It has all Italian restaurant clichés you could think of...checkered table clothes; pictures of Italian celebrities (from Italy and the US), landscapes, sports; and music from Italian crooners. Despite the clichés it was fun. There is a special table called the "Pope Table" with a bust of the Pope (I think they need to update the bust). I had the eggplant parmesan with fettucine alfredo as a side. It also came with salad and bread. There was a lot of food! La Parmigiana was delicious! The rest of the food was ok. The service was good.
We were meeting up with family who suggested this place after spending the day touring Seattle. Parking is a challenge but it’s well worth it. The ambiance was very inviting & service was great. Drink orders taken quickly and so was food order. Delivery of both was also quick. Serving style is family style. We ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with side of chicken , spaghetti and meatballs & cheese manicotti. We ordered 2 breads as each one only had 10 pieces (probably should ordered 3 lol). We were a family of 7 and took home leftovers. Excellent flavor and pricing was just right for what was received. If in the area and looking for some great Italian food - check this out.
Portions are big but not huge (as they say). Food is pretty good and the service is nice. The prices are on the higher end ($40+ for a dish) if you are not sharing dishes (they are meant to be shared by at-least 2). I have had take-out from this place which was not really good. Their food is best when eaten fresh/hot.
The restaurant was situated in the Lake Union neighborhood and was the only location in the Seattle area, which was about 30 minutes from where I lived. I was able to find parking about 5-minutes walk from it. There was street parking in front of the restaurant. When I entered, there were 2 people waiting to be seated. The restaurant wasn't full, so I didn't have to wait too long before my party was seated. A waitress served our table in a timely manner and asked if there was any special occasion for the visit right at the beginning. She also explained the restaurant was a family style restaurant and made sure we were aware that the food portion was meant to be shared. She checked on us regularly to make sure everything was OK. Another lady (we thought she was the manager) also checked on each table occasionally. We ordered Baked Rigatoni and Prosciutto Stuffed Mushrooms for the night. They were yummy and we liked them. The portion of the Baked Rigatoni was indeed generous, and we couldn't finish it. The waitress gave us a container to box the leftover. We were all satisfied. By the time we left, about half of the restaurant was filled with customers.
Food was good, the family meal is a decent value. Just needed salt and pepper honestly. None of the packets of cheese and red pepper which were selected were included. Food arrived hot and in the estimated window.
If you're on the hunt for an Italian meal deal in Seattle, this is the place to be. Located in the vibrant South Lake Union, it's got that authentic Italian charm and a fun atmosphere that’s hard to resist. I hadn't been here in years, but a coupon brought me back, eager for a good bargain—Seattle does that to you! We opted for the "Amore for Two" special and ended up not even needing the coupon. The meal was hearty and satisfying, though it wasn't gourmet, which is understandable given the price. What truly stood out was the lively ambiance. I had forgotten just how enjoyable and festive this place is. It's the perfect spot for a casual, budget-friendly Italian dining experience with a great vibe. Their happy hour looks like a great deal too! Buon appetito!
First time there and portions were enormous. We shared a single pasta entree between the two of us, as well as the appetizer meatballs. Thanksgiving day the restaurant was busy with holiday specific meal sets so no pizza. We got the cheesy garlic bread instead and were again shocked at the amount; we definitely had plenty to take home. The shrimp fra diavolo was really great. The sauce was awesome and the texture of the pasta and shrimp were nice. I really liked the meatballs but my sister found them a bit heavy. The garlic bread was probably the weakest, not very garlicky or cheesy. We were most thrown by the price. It was reasonable if you count price per serving (I think the pasta was supposed to serve 3 people according to the menu), but if you think about the ingredients needed for the dishes, the price is definitely steep. It seems reasonable to expect to order more than 1 item for two people, so we didn’t expect 1 pasta, 1 appetizer, and 1 bread to be $100+ dollars with tip and tax. It’s fine if you’re expecting that I guess. It tasted pretty great, but not sure we’d go again anytime soon.
Food comes in large portions that can easily feed 2-3 people. Some of the tables upstairs have a large window with a great view of the lake. Menu is vegetarian and allergy friendly. Food could be better
Disappointing service. After our small party of 3 was seated, we sat at our table for 15-20 minutes before the waiter even acknowledged us. And while my friends and I have all worked in food service & can sympathize with “the dinner rush”, our waiter’s first sentence wasn’t a greeting, asking how we’re doing or saying sorry for the wait, it was “are you ready to order?” The waiter proceeded to question my friend when they asked for 5 lemon slices. I’m sorry they love lemons? The waiter gradually improved during the meal by checking in with us to let us know when the food was coming. So that was good. But at the end of the meal, he just dropped off the check and didn’t say anything else. Weird vibes. Food had massive portions, which was good for sharing. I was grateful they had a nice special with a fixed set of garlic bread, salad, and two pastas for $50. Would’ve stayed for dessert but the earlier service made us want to look elsewhere. Sorry, Fluffy, but we don’t want it.
Disappointing… This place was nice, friendly and a bit grimy. I came here for a nice Christmas dinner on Christmas Day of 2025 (No other places were opened in the area. This was the only option)… I had 4 Jameson Neat, 1 draft beer, a Chicken Rigatoni, and a Chicken and Broccoli Dish. The bill came out to be over $120. Okay…? Fine. I checked and apparently the bartender charged me $18 for each Jameson Neat. Wow! Incredible! It’s a bit excessive isn’t it? Thats double the usual price for a Jameson Neat. Apparently, it’s called a 1 up with a little bit extra pour (not fully 2 shots but a bit extra). The bartender definitely did me dirty by not telling me that it costs $18 for a Jameson Neat… I mean I can afford it, but… Did I just get ripped off with my drinks or am I just economically unqualified to go drink at this place? I guess I should just go to any other places instead of here if I want a decent drink and feel good about it. Again, I am disappointed… The food and experience was okay but do I feel ripped off… Not come back here again. Merry Christmas Everyone!
Came here for a special occasion and made a table reservation. When we got there we were ignored by the hostess. When we were taken to our table they sat us RIGHT next to another table in a completely empty room. It was so awkward. The food we got was bland and tasteless, the salad was limp and sad. When we left they had only sat one other family in the empty room so sitting us shoulder to shoulder with other guests was very strange. If you would like to blow $100 on community soup kitchen food then go ahead. Literally any other restaurant in Seattle would be a better choice than this one and for the price you might actually get two ply toilet paper. This restaurant is an absolute joke.
This is an interesting spot where the majority of the meals are family style, where you order a few large dishes, and share amongst the group We ended up ordering a few things here for our entrees. It was the cheese pizza, the chicken parm, and the lasagna. Starting with the pizza, this tasted pretty much exactly like your standard arcade pizza. It wasn't particularly bad, but like the same level of pizza you would get at a Chuck-E-Cheese or something. Not great for something being served at a higher price point in a sit-down Italian restaurant The chicken parm was probably the best of the three, but that's not saying much. While there was a good amount of cheese on the top, it didn't completely cover the breaded chicken. Also, the chicken was definitely on the drier end of things. The overall combination wasn't terrible though The lasagna was so drenched in red sauce it makes me wonder if they had to use up their entire supply of tomatoes in a single night. I've never had a lasagna that was anywhere close to this much tomato sauce - it overpowered the entire dish. A very odd choice here Lastly, we got the Colossal Brownie Sundae. This was a massive brownie & ice cream dish that I actually did really enjoy. While there probably was a little too much whipped cream and not enough ice cream, I thought this, especially when shared with everyone at the table, was a fun experience. For the price, even though you're only getting a few dishes, this ends up pretty expensive. It came out to $40/person for us, and the amount of food in total wasn't even that high Overall, this ranks as a pretty bottom tier Italian restaurant for me. 3/10
Place has all the markings of great Italian food from a visual or structure standpoint, but super overpriced and quality is very low. Fast food Italian, costco freezer section like, but marked up massively. I am talking near $57- $60! for single regular Italian dish and tiny little pieces of chicken if you order meat, way more cheap pasta inserted. They don’t hide they are skimping the customer. Hardly any parking downtown, so good luck with that. Have to walk in I guess. Great service though. Won’t be coming back for a really long time unfortunately.
