My son and I just stopped for cocktails on a beautiful Sunday afternoon on the pier. We were served cocktails at the upstairs bar and seated on the outdoor deck below the great wheel, which offers views of the bay. Seattle pier prices. The bartender was friendly, and the drinks were refreshing. It was quiet because I was there between lunch and dinner, and our seating area was secluded.

Went in on a busy Friday over the weekend, place was busy but we still received great service. Our server Hilda was very attentive, she gave us great recommendations about the food/drinks and also about the other attractions on the pier. Recommend: Spicy shrimp mac and cheese-very shareable lots of flavor Crab cakes- lots of crab very tasty Caesar salad- needs extra dressing Oysters were fresh and the sauce paired well Jumbo snow crab- big cluster of crab the rice was ok but the veggies were cooked perfectly Halibut filet - Juicy, tender veggies were great Lobster- Delicious came already cut so no need to dig the lobster out too much We are not locals unfortunately wont be back soon- but we would def recommend if you’re in town looking for a nice view with some fresh seafood!

We lucked out. We had dinner on a Friday night at around 6pm. They sat us right out on the patio facing the bay. It wasn't too busy. The service was excellent, There was some weather coming in, but arrived after we left, our server offered to move us at anytime. The clam chowder was awesome! We opted for the special salmon and asparagus. That was very good as well. The presentation was good and the food came out hot. If we are in the area we will be back.

Food and drinks were yummy! We got a few drinks, crab cakes, halibut fish and chips, and piccata sea bass. Everything was cooked perfectly. The service was great and a nice view of the bay. Definitely recommend

The service was so unexpectedly GREAT. Santiago allowed us to move to a table in a better location, and let us take our own sweet time demolishing our Crab Feast. 3 kinds of crab! Manila clams were very small and overcooked, but still tasted great. View was spectacular, even from the inside. Lots of seating. Best Long Island Iced Tea! Great place to have an early dinner then stroll out on the boardwalk to enjoy the sunset, people watching and the Wheel.

Very pleased to have fulfilled my seafood cravings by the water. Delicious!

Ignore the stupid tourist reviews here - the clam chowder bowl is superb and the dungeoness crab was cooked and served perfectly. Highly recommended.

Great place for a wedding venue, it is absolutely breathtaking. The staff very professional and friendly the menu is amazing.

I had a great experience dining here. Service is excellent and the ambiance is overflowing. Great views of the harbor. I chose to sit inside despite the unusual beautiful day this wacky April. I have been out walking the downtown area all day. This place gave me a chance to have a cold brew, relax and do some people watching. Local oysters were definitely not in season but nonetheless I had to have a few. Clam chowder is to die for and so is the sourdough bread. I could only imagine during late Spring or Summer this place must get packed! Thank you for a great experience.

Great place to eat, crab boil was delicious and would definitely recommend. Also the crab dip I thought was very good is wasnt to crabby but definitely just enough. Eating outside is definitely the move especially if from out of town and want those mountain views. Great service and friendly.

I HATE seafood so coming into this place with my family I was fully prepared to get a chicken sandwich or a salad or something. The waiter Kevin brought us a small dish of clam chowder to try while we decided and my daughter who is very picky almost ate the entire bowl all to herself. I ended up going with the fish and chips. It was incredible!! Did not taste fishy at all and there was so much food. I ended up trying their clam chowder and it tasted more like potato soup than a clam chowder, not fishy at all! Everything was GREAT!! We will definitely come back!

My mom and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Tony, our server, was very knowledgeable and attentive to us. He made sure to check with the kitchen staff about my allergies and always checked on us with everything. I had the shrimp mac and cheese that was heavenly, while my mom had the shrimp pasta that she said was delicious! We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant again!!!

No complaints here. Had a great meal with family. our waitress was very kind and punctual. food was great for the price as well. If in the area and would like a good meal on the pier, no better place than this one.

We had dinner here after visiting the aquarium. We had a bowl of clam chowder and the PNW fish & chips, food was delicious. The restaurant was extremely clean. I think this place has the cleanest fans, lighting fixtures I’ve ever seen at an “old style” restaurant. Our bill was $60 including tip & tax, no drinks nor dessert.

We came here for lunch. The place is quite inside the building, so you need to walk a little further. We ordered the Fish & Chips and Chicken Burger. The quailty could be better, because I barely taste anything on the flour. Fries are also stale and not crispy. The portion was good with fair prices. Service was okay.

AUG 27, 2025 It’s been quite a while since I graced Seattle with my presence. Today is our anniversary, so hubby and I decided to venture over there, excited to see the city’s newly completed waterfront. Instead of stepping off the ferry and facing endless blocks of construction like before, we were welcomed by a vibrant, inviting atmosphere that truly showcases the best of Seattle. During our stroll, which included stops at different stores and a visit to the aquarium, lunchtime arrived. After considering a few options, we chose The Fisherman's Restaurant and Bar, situated right on the waterfront, adjacent to Seattle's Great Wheel. The ambiance was lovely, and the restaurant was spacious. We were seated in a covered patio area—not quite outdoors, but still offering a pleasant atmosphere of openness! We were warmly welcomed and promptly served refreshing ice-cold water. The menu featured a tempting variety of seafood entrées and appetizers, along with several salads and sandwiches. Hungry after our walk, we were ready to order. First, a bucket of steamed clams to get us started. My husband chose the Captain’s Plate, and for once, I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried the fish and chips, deep-fried and all! Our steamed clams arrived first, served with a few slices of bread and butter. Although the clams were fresh, they were somewhat bland and didn’t have much flavor. Fortunately, we didn’t have to wait long before Justin M., our server, brought out our entrées. Both of our entrées were nicely presented. I shared one of my three pieces of cod with my husband, and in return, he gave me some halibut and a piece of calamari. The plates made the portions look larger than they were; in reality, they were a bit small. Neither of us enjoyed the coleslaw, and while the rest of the food was fine, nothing truly stood out as exceptional. That said, our server, Justin M., was excellent. He checked on us regularly without being intrusive and was both friendly and courteous. Honestly, his service was the highlight of our meal—far better than the food itself! Just remember, when you dine at a place like that, you’re paying a premium for the ambiance. And if you're lucky and the food is even decent, it feels like a win-win! We popped in after a day of sightseeing, hoping it wasn’t a typical tourist trap—and we were pleasantly surprised. Our server, Santiago, was great—helpful, polite, and very attentive. All the food was solid. My son loved the smoked salmon fettuccine and even said, “This is the best pasta I’ve ever had!” My fish and chips were also good, and everything else we tried hit the mark. The only odd part of the experience was when a waiter dropped and broke a glass of water. He picked up some of the glass, placed a wet floor sign over it, and then left it like that—for over an hour. When we left, the puddle and broken glass were still sitting under the sign. It might still be there when you visit!

A very unique place. The food was fantastic. The bread bowl clam chowder was one of the best i have had. My niece had the Shrimp pasta which was really good. Calamari, really really good. My 4 star is because the staff wasn’t very friendly and appeared to be annoyed we were here. Otherwise a great experience.

The Fisherman’s Restaurant in Seattle offers absolutely gorgeous views of the water—perfect for a sunset dinner! I had the salmon fettuccine and it was delicious, rich, and full of flavor. The location right next to the Great Wheel makes it super convenient if you’re exploring the waterfront. While the staff seemed a bit disorganized and not the friendliest during our visit, the food and atmosphere more than made up for it. A great spot to relax, take in the scenery, and enjoy fresh seafood with a view.

This was a nice place, sun was coming down and we all had to move to one end of the table. Tony our server was really polite, informative. Food was just ok…my Caesar’s salad was very good, the shrimp Mac and cheese was fishy tasting.

We had a nice lunch here while visiting family. Sat outdoors on the large deck next to the ferris wheel and overlooking the water, and it was glorious. The food was quite good, especially the Alaskan King Troll and some of the unique fish sandwiches. Our server was pleasant, but I got a sense that the restaurant (like many places) may have been suffering from a staffing shortage.

We got to sit at the second floor outside. The view to the waterfront was amazing. Our service was a little slow but we did not mine it as we were enjoying the view. My friend and I both got the homemade clam chowder. It was good. It’s a good place to eat at Pier 56.

Food was decent - I had the Sea-bass Piccata - tasty and spicy. Felt a bit of indigestion all night. The cucumber drink was really good. AJ my waiter, was a stellar waiter, but I had a negative encounter with bar tender at the bar downstairs…I think his name was Marc…very condescending. The inside dining room is really dark, but the outdoor seating area was pretty nice…a good spot to watch the sunset.

Came here after doing a boat cruise off the water. It was a pretty chilly morning so I asked the server for for some hot chocolate. She brings me a lukewarm hot chocolate with a bowl of whipped cream on the side.. My cousin asked for a hot chocolate as well and hers came out much hotter than mine.. I didn’t even drink the lukewarm hot chocolate and asked her shortly after for another one because it wasn’t hot and it was cold outside where we were sitting. She brings us two more hot chocolates but this time they are bland… it was just brown hot water.. we didn’t drink it.. the mugs were probably 5 or 6 oz mugs.. again we told our server again about the hot chocolate. My this time it had started raining and everyone had moved inside but us. But then it started to rain harder so we just moved inside without being seated again and the server looked annoyed that we did that. So we tell her about the hot chocolates being bland and she said “I don’t know what to tell you guys, I put a giant spoon full of chocolate in it” and we just kind of looked at her confused .. I don’t know what she wanted us to say to that.. the hot chocolate wasn’t chocolate at and or hot.. Anyways we ordered a side of smoked salmon, a clam chowder in a bread bowl and PNW captains plate. The smoked salmon was so good! The best I have ever had with such a rich but not over powering taste. The clam chowder was the best I have ever had! It was such a balance of flavors, not fishy at all and nice and creamy! The captains plate had a delicious fried halibut and Alaskan pollock, so good! The Pablo prawns were good too but the calamari was a miss. We didn’t eat it, it had no flavor.. the fries could have been fried longer, they were a little soggy but over all we had such a good meal! And despite the annoyed server, I would recommend this place.

We had a nice lunch. Our server was Kevin. He felt he was late getting to us and was very nice and helpful throughout our meal. The restaurant was in good order. It was clean. Checked out the restroom, and it was clean as well. I ordered a fisherman's old fashion and I like it very much. My wife had a glass of red wine and it was nice too. She ordered the fish and Chips and ate what she could until she was full. I had the Salmon BLT. juicy and flavorful. I ate the whole thing. Their fries were decent.

Good views on the water next to the Ferris wheel. Sit outside if the weather is nice. Foods ok, overpriced for lunch I thought. Online menus I saw aren't current, looks like they raised prices again recently. Fish was a little dry. Oysters were small. Portions aren't huge, a lot of breading and fries. Paying for location.

The service and location are great! I ordered the Black Alaskan Cod. I felt it was over-seasoned and covered in butter/oil. I also ordered the crab dip. It did not taste much like it had much crab in it at all. Do not recommend it. My friend got the crab boil and said it was delicious.

We visited this place around four years back and recalled how the place affords a good view and with decent food and service. Husband had a half dozen oysters which was what he was craving for - fresh, the way he likes it. My favorite was the crab cakes which never seems to be enough, and perfect with the sweet and sour sauce. The bread bowl clam chowder was too salty, overpowering the taste of the soup which was supposed to be comforting on a rainy day; it just makes one drink lots of water. Fish and chips was good. We had the brownie walnut for dessert - again, way too sweet. Service was good, with attentive servers who made sure our water was refilled at all times.

GREAT location near Ferris wheel and lots of outdoor seating (we didn’t have to wait). The seafood boil was delicious but the fish tacos and calamari weren’t. Not sure it was even calamari 💁‍♀️ High prices but comparable to the area.

The only good thing about the place was the views. We got a great view of the Great wheel and water front. Service was extremely slow. The waiter was borderline not listening and rushing. The bucket of clams was literally a 1/4th bucket with multiple duds. When we told the waiter about not enough clams, he walked away yelling 'bucket of clams it is'. Clam chowder was way under par, very runny and hardly had any clams Very underwhelming experience and not expected from a place known for its seafood!

The clam chowder was much too salty to be enjoyed. One of the oysters seemed like it was not washed properly as it had a distinctive smell to it that the others did not have. The crab melt was good but not great. Surprisingly the fries were undersalted in contrast to the chowder. The cost is more expensive than I feel it is worth. I would personally not go again but it is not bad food wise.

Average seafood that doesn’t seem different from restaurants away from the piers but more expensive. The crab cakes were quite delicious — mostly meat and light breading and a sweet, citrus sauce. The calamari was a weird texture than usual — they were formed into rectangular sticks, similar to a fish stick from the store. They tasted about the same, enjoyable flavor. Between the Red Chowder and Clam Chowder, Clam wins hands down. It has a thicker consistency and is creamy, better than the tomato. On the Captains plate, the only good meat to me was the shrimp and calamari. The halibut and the other meat both just tasted like deep fried breading with barely any fish flavor. The fries started out crispy but became soggy by the end of the meal. The coleslaw has a weird spice to it. The Smoke Salmon Fettuccini had a significant amount of salmon, but I personally didn’t like how heavy the sauce was. Others in my party loved it, it was only okay to me. The staff were stellar, Kat was our waitress and she was very attentive and kind. Great service.

Visited the Fisherman’s Restaurant in Seattle on the waterfront primarily to get a crab feast.  The restaurant was very busy and had a long wait for table.  No reservations are taken, but once added to the waitlist you can wander the pier until they page you on your phone. Front desk was friendly and efficient, but the table service was lacking in attentiveness.  Entrees included Fish n chips, Crab Louie Salad and two different crab dinners. All the dishes were fairly standard, with the exception of the Dungeness crab on one of the crab dinners.  Surprisingly it had a dry old taste to it, typically of crab that is borderline fresh. The restaurant is a nice location (at the end of the pier) with nice ocean views and fun to experience, but the food and service was just average.  Overall, the variety of crab is good, but prices and quality may not be worth the visit.

We decided to give this place a try for dinner the other evening… we should have kept walking. Our server was pretty much nonexistent for most of the time, often being 20 minutes between checking on us. Drinks sat empty, we waited for food, etc. we waited 25 minutes just for him to show up and get us a check so we could finally get out of there. We should have known when we talked in and the hostess huffed at us when we asked if we could seat outside… there were plenty of empty tables. As far as food goes, well… the chowder was good. It ends there. The fish tacos were gross. The tortillas were too thick and almost slimy feeling. My honey had the fish and chips, and it was mediocre, at best. Moral of the story here is don’t melt this place be a part of your story.

Great views of the water, and plenty if outdoor seating (if the weather is nice). The food was not good. Specifically the fish and chips. Tiny little pieces thst were dry and flavorless. Literally the garnish lemon slice was as big as a piece of fish. It looked like a kids plate. Seabass was alright, bit too salty, but weirdly they diced it to serve, which was strange. Price verse food was mismatched. If you just want a spot to chill and have a drink while your friends ride the wheel, then it's fine.

My family and I were visiting Seattle before a cruise and were hungry when visiting Seattle’s waterfront. Naturally, you would think to yourself this must be the place to eat seafood (hence the name and location next to the water). I normally don’t write bad reviews but my first impressions wasn’t a good one. First the dishes weren’t cleaned properly. I saw food particles still on glasses and cutlery. Second, we asked for an outside table. But they put my dad (who is in a wheelchair) directly in the sun. When we asked to switch, it wasn’t still in a good spot. Our server wasn’t also very helpful. We needed refills on this hot day and we saw only two tables in his section. But we saw other parties (particularly of a certain privileged race) getting served properly and quickly than our table. To top it off, the food wasn’t what you would expect next to a waterfront with such a high price tag. So to sum it up; If you’re a tourist. This is a tourist trap. You’re better off finding quality food at pikes Market. To the managers please check your staff. I didn’t want to complain since i was already tired and the heat would’ve not made my suggestions received properly.

Horrible experience. I was served “medium rare” steelhead. The waiters exact words. They always cook it that way.
