Martha's Old Mexico

Authentic Mexican food! This is Mexican food. It’s hard to eat at other Mexican restaurants when here the food is so much better. Very delicious! Enchiladas and chili rellano were on point, the sauce is finger licking good. Wish I lived closer to order from them more often.

Finally ate here with my wife, mother and daughter. The food was great. New favorite Mexican restaurant in Sonoma county. The special was a chili relleno and it’s was amazing.

What a jewel of dining out. My husband and I's favorite local getaway, complete Disney vacation feel from their outdoor patio with the beautiful lighting and forest animals around the fountain. And their dishes are completely delicious with fresh mango and jicama to kick things up. Just a fabulous, special place to visit at least weekly. Victor and Gina, your place is magical!

Ate on the back deck/patio. The food is fabulous. I had arroz con pollo y camarones that was delicious and plenty to bring home another meal or share. The fun backyard feel is very relaxing, nice to hangout and have a meal.

The food is wonderful, and we love sitting in outside dining area.

We went to Martha's for the first time on my road trip on my birthday weekend. What AMAZING food, such flavor! One of the best Mexican restaurants we've been to. Our waitress Gina was so friendly and helpful. We will be back from SF to visit! Highly recommended.

So good, we love it! Friendly, great food, my husband loves the steak burrito. He says it is the best he has ever had, and he is picky. I hope it will be able to re-open to regular service soon, but there take out is fast and just as good. Thank you Martha's.

My family came upon your restaurant while traveling to California for a wedding and all of the places we had tried were closing. You and your wonderful staff stayed open late for us and served us dinner. The food was absolutely delicious and your servers were so polite and friendly. We are forever grateful! Highly recommend! Martha 's is really good. And the cooks are great. And the Manager of the restaurant is very nice, and the servers are great too. They also have a patio area in the BACK for eating outside. And I known Martha for many years. They are in Sebastopol. Don't read about go try it tonight, tomorrow or when ever. Happy Martha's Mexican food time. ☺😉🌮🌯🥙🥗🍻 Happy eating.

Absolutely fabulous food! Was my first visit & I'm sold. Had the Carne Asada Colima style plate & Carnitas plate - both top-notch. The tortilla soup was amazing as well. The Carne Asada was the best I've ever had. Melts in your mouth! The food was also packaged really well - cold condiments packed separately from the hot food. Very friendly staff. Definitely going again soon!

We absolutely love Martha's for so many reasons! The food is outstanding... and trust me you get plenty, and we love the decor in the back seating area with the deer, rabbits & squirrels (not real but it makes a wonderful setting), especially if you bring young children!!! It's a regular for us when we want Mexican Food. The owner is absolutely as gracious as one can be!!!!

Came here on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint. Decor: The enter restaurant has very unique tables and chairs. We sat inside on the fruit themed table per my toddler’s request but would highly recommend you sit outside on the back patio. It is very well staged and takes you to a little slice of paradise. We sat down and the chips came right away along with three salsas. They were very apparently made in house and freshly fried. We ordered the guacamole and it was one of the better guacs I have had. Freshly made with chunks of whole avocado which made for the best texture. For entries hubs and I ordered the Arroz Con Pollo Y Camarones and Pollo Loco. Both were full of flavor and the portion sizes were enormous. We ended up taking majority of the Arroz Con Pollo Y Camarones home to enjoy the next day. If you are looking for really good Mexican food with a great vibe, highly recommend Marthas.

This place is a hidden gem!! I can’t believe I’ve not eaten here before today but that is definitely going to change going forward! As you can gather from my enthusiasm - the food was delicious! They gave me a cup of salsa and a cup of hot beans to start, and both were fabulous! The hot beans were a surprise for me, but were bursting with flavor. I devoured both. I got the lunch carne asada Colima and ate til I was stuffed… then ate the rest! It was fantastic. I’m already dreaming about going back 🤤🤤🤤 The service was great as well - fast and very friendly.

Martha's had fantastic food and a great, home-y atmosphere (we sat out back on the patio). I got the roast pork plate (forgot the exact name) that was awesome. My wife got a veggie burrito that was excellent and very big. Prices were very reasonable.

My wife and I had lunch at Martha's Old Mexico Restaurant for the first time in a long while. We like to sit out back where the restaurant opens up to an adjoining hillside. I ordered an El Grande chicken burrito. I have not had a good burrito in a long time. Even though this burrito was pretty huge, I enjoyed every bite of it. The chips with bean dip were an extra added attraction. My wife ordered fajitas and we both left very satisfied and agreeing we would not wait too long for a return visit.

Fantastic restaurant with great food and service. Backyard patio was a great addition to the dining experience and the seafood enchiladas did not hold back on the seafood.

Our Cinco de Mayo was festive with a stop in here, try their patio if dining in and make sure to check out their options for self catering your next big party. They are very good at facilitating large parties with togo options for a couple hundred dollars that will feed 20-40 people.

We called in a takeout order - dinner for 6, since we were expecting company. What a hit! The food was all so fresh and tasty, plenty for everyone, they were super organized, even helped carry it to the car. We've gone there for years for dine-in and that's been awesome too ... the garden patio out back is a delight, and the food and service is consistently excellent. The whole crew there is awesome. We are so thankful for them, and glad the business survived through the pandemic. I strongly recommend Martha's Restaurant.

I recommend giving this Awesome Mexican Food fresh delicious Flavorful there is so much I can say it's that good. Love sitting in the back it's a Calm Fun Oasis. Try it you will be back time and time again can't get enough of this beautiful Delicious Kind Restaurant.

The back dining area is very romantic with lighting and heaters for enjoying a romantic meal looking at the whimsical garden with fountain. On food, it's all excellent. For a large meal I recommend chili Colorado the recipe is 300 years old, really great. And then the fish taco..is perfection, many toppings it's beautiful with all this fancy salsa cheese special salsa its the best. Many special touches to your meal and dining experience are done at Martha's so you have an excellent time.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Sonoma County. The outdoor seating in the back is the way to go if weather permits. Love that you get salsa AND bean dip with your chips, and in the many times I've been I've only not enjoyed my meal once.

We love Martha's. the sangria bola is always on the list as are the jalapeño poppers. It can be a bit warm inside but there is a small patio which is nice as long as the weather allows. Very good food and friendly service.

Solid flavors, good selection of beers and wine. The tacos are griddle-fried giving their tortillas a great crunch-chewy texture. Lean over the plate as these tacos are extra full and extra juicy.

I wish there was a 4.5 option because this place is delightful!! The food portions were massive and delicious. The folks working were delightful. I think if they had draft beer, it's a 5 star! However, I got this massive, incredibly priced margarita and it was delicious!

Can be jammed packed & the patio service can suffer when that happens. On super hot days the A/C cannot keep the inside cool. The owner also serves the to go & the inside tables, so the best service is inside. The younger servers in the back patio could benefit from tasting the menu & being able to describe it to someone else. Also to anticipate service needs of the guests before they ask for them (like water refilled).

Good Mexican in Sebastopol! The portions are pretty big and they have all of the standard Mexican food options. I have been here a few times and the food is consistent but slightly lacking in flavor. The house salsa is delicious.

I use to love the fish tacos here! I came for the first time in quite awhile and was truly disappointed in the fish served on the fish tacos! Looked like a frozen fish patty but so thin you barely tasted any fish! Definitely not worth the price which I think is the same as before but was a great piece of fish before!

Food was great & tasty… but unfortunately, the service was terrible.. It was not that busy at all when we came in. It took over 10 minutes & one of us going to the counter to ask for service.. The server didn’t make us feel welcome at all. Didn’t get us any drink till minutes even after asking for service.. and we got adult beverages which orders were not consistent with what we asked for. Serving us seem to be a chore and with all of us having serving backgrounds.. I’m not sure what the lack of serving was for us.. Again, food was DELICIOUS but you get a low score due to service. Super unfortunate..

This review reflects my experience ordering 2 super burritos and a taco to go at 2:30, just before they closed for their afternoon break. Regardless, I was generally dissatisfied with the food, the service was random, and let's just say it wasn't cheap (but what is, these days?!). We got a carne asada super and an al pastor super, with a carnitas taco and two drinks. I paid $20-30/person, so that was a shock. The burritos were not built as super burritos. They were regular burritos in a box with sour cream and guacamole on the side. It also included some ranchero sauce, I guess for a burrito mujado, which I didn't want. The burritos were not good:, the meat was salty, and the beans were dry. The taco was a crunchy style with two tortillas, so one tortilla was chewy, and both were cold by the time I got home. Even the drinks - horchata and piña - tasted like they were from a mix, not fresh. The salsa was good and the chips seemed house made. There was a special on the board and the dining room looked welcoming. I'm not familiar with food from Mazatlan, so I'm guessing I ordered wrong. With so many West County options, I'll continue my search for the perfect Sonoma supper burrito.

Too much air freshener and the waitress was wearing perfume! I like to smell good when I walk into a restaurant. My last visit unfortunately as I love Martha's cooking. Hard to taste the food when the scents are so overpowering. Very sad

Well, we have been going here for years. Generally every sunday. Over the years it has just declined. Recently while eating on the back patio we seen rats in the middle of the day running around under the table next to us. The waitress is rude. The cook is yelling obscenities in spanish at the other cook. The portions have gotten smaller and the prices have gone up. We haven't been since the rat incident, and don't plan on returning.

We recently ate here and I ordered the Tostada Mazatlan Prawns. This was nothing like it was described on the menu and the prawns literaly tasted like spicy dirt. It was horrible. I let the waitress know and she didn't offer to comp the meal. When I ordered sour cream to try to make it somewhat edible I was charged an extra $2! The patio decor was rather ugly and creepy. Don't bother trying this place. Later that night I ended up getting sick from food poisoning.
