The View is epic! The service is on point and super accommodating. We enjoyed the cocktails! The Cesar was great and the wife and I share the super tender filet, I recommend medium rare and the jalapeño relish is top tier. As locals we come up all throughout the year and are never disappointed.
I don't share reviews often but had such a wonderful time here I had to give them a shout out. This was my first time visiting and my friends and I sat upstairs. The view was beautiful and worth the stop on its own but even better was the amazing service and delicious drinks. Our bartenders Ronnie and Rosie were absolutely amazing and took such excellent care of us. Their drinks were the best I had during my visit to California and I will always make this a stop in any future travels through the area. Not often does a resteraunt experience make you so happy you review it even a week later ;) Thanks for the memories ♡
We just found Huff's at Bridge Bay, a wonderful restaurant and beautiful location. Great service, excellent selection, and very reasonable prices. We had lunch overlooking the lake! We will be back whenever our travels bring us this way again. Do yourself a favor and give Huff's at Bridge Bay a try; you will not be disappointed! If you find my review helpful, please click the thumbs-up 👍icon! Cheers!
The dining experience is nice. They have gluten free options which is amazing. The experience is by far one of the best I had in that area. The staff were friendly and they told me that the kitchen will open at 4:00 pm. It was nice to be told about that. Having the kitchen open at 4:00 pm was a bit weird though.
Passing through the area and found them on Google. Always optimistic, but based off reviews.. we went and everything was just as expected. The menu online was current and the service was pretty good. Cowboy bites were my favorite along side Justin's snapper!! Beautiful views to top it all off!!
The Sunday brunch was so good. There were many options for food. They even had an omelette and Egg Benedict station which was customized to your liking. The colossal shrimp was delicious. The waffles tasted like glazed donuts. It was all delicious! Highly recommend going here.
Came in for my girlfriend birthday And service was good. Unfortunately they were short staffed and the regular cook was not there. Needless to say the food was not great that night. Pizza was burned and the prime rib was rare when my father ordered it well. My prime rib was great. All other dishes were fine. But the response from the manager was very professional and being that it was my girlfriend's birthday dinner they decided to comp the entire meal which was almost $200. For the professionalism of the staff and management they deserve a 5 star review. We will come back and try another night. Being a small business owner my self I understand situations happen. But they handled this very well. We will be back.
Huff's is a favorite place for my husband, and I now since we got married here just a few weeks ago on 11/2/24. We discovered this restaurant and venue area on one of our road trips up north and we stopped in to try lunch and the food was very good. It tastes homemade with love. We couldn't say more good things about Huff's, the owners are so nice and responsive. The employees and all staff were very professional and kind with us and our family throughout the whole weekend we were up there. We look forward to many more trips and stops here. Thank you Huff's for making our wedding weekend such a magical time!
I took my mom here today for a late birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was amazing and the view was gorgeous. My mom and I shared the crab sandwich which was heavy on the crab. We also shared the coconut prawns which were very good as well. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. We can’t wait to go back.
Had our family Thanksgiving dinner at Huff’s for the first time. I was very skeptical. But it was delicious. Will do this again next year. Best turkey I ever ate and the variety of prime rib, side dishes etc… I as awesome.
We didn’t eat, just had a glass of wine and a beer. Tess, behind the bar was amazing! All staff great. Wonderful views, we’ll be back!
Possibly the best view of Lake Shasta and the Pit River Bridge. They opened the down stairs for us so my 84 YO Mom wouldn't have to climb their stairs. Fish tacos were yummy.
I love fish and chips . I usually have them when I’m out. I wasn’t going to order them this particular day, but the young waitress said they were really good. They were not what I was expecting they were even better!!! They use halibut instead of the usual cod. The crust isn’t the traditional, instead it’s an wonderful light and tender crust and the tarter sauce OMG! I don’t like tarter sauce but this one is truly out of this world. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. Just what ever you do order the fish and chips. You will not be disappointed! It’s been a week since our amazing meal and we haven’t stopped talking about it. We’re ready to take the 4 hr drive just to experience it all over again.
A friend and I decided to try this place for dinner, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! The dishes were flavorful, well-presented, and truly satisfied our culinary cravings. Pairing the delicious food with their top-notch beer was the cherry on top! Despite the bustling atmosphere, our waitress managed to be attentive, courteous, and genuinely helpful. Her commendable service added to the overall wonderful experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend for a quality meal and brew!
We’ve been to Huff’s a few times. It is a lovely restaurant overlooking Shasta Lake. Great for a romantic evening. The atmosphere is lively upstairs in the bar and chill downstairs. The food is great! Omg, the Pig Wings are fantastic! I had the Surf and Turf. The bacon wrapped filet was perfection! It was presented with the biggest butterflied prawn I’ve ever seen. Our server, Hailey was awesome. Very warm and friendly. Great at setting expectations, and providing options. She went out of her way to make sure we were happy. The mashed root vegetables were a bit bland but, still nice. I would love if the restaurant served warm bread. We met Cameron, the manager. He was so kind and friendly! Overall a great experience. So nice having a special restaurant like this available.
Great view from good on the patio. Everyone enjoyed their meal in our group of 7. The server was funny and on top of things.
Nice and relaxing outside. They allowed us to take our dogs on the deck which was lovely. Jennifer did an awesome job serving us and the food was delicious. We had the Ribeye, the best fig and apple salad (a bit sweet) with steak added on (was tough and less tasty than the ribeye). The buffalo curd bites were also delicious. Very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere as we ate and enjoyed the view.
My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary there! Service was great. Food was delicious and they treated us to dessert candles and all. We’re definitely coming back
Atmosphere here is great. Super friendly staff and gorgeous views of the lake with easy access to the water and right next to the marina. Hosted a surprise party for a family member and they did everything they could to help make it perfect. Food we got was great and plenty of it for the event. More than enough for everyone to have seconds. Ashley did a great job coordinating and answered all our questions thoroughly. Truly amazed at how great it turned out.
We just experienced the most beautiful wedding for my daughter at Huff's outdoor venue at Bridge Bay Resort. The owners, Ashley and Cameron, were beyond helpful and provided excellent food and service. Also, gave some great tips for the setting for optimal pictures. We would highly recommend this venue if you're looking for excellent food, beautiful views and an overall excellent experience!
Great find in the area! Absolutely beautiful view, and the staff is very friendly and fun. Big props to Bree for just constantly making us laugh. Highly recommend the Bloody Mary with all the fixings. And their beef tallow fries, such a good idea.
Fabulous waitress, delicious food. Needs to be advertised on the road.could use some color at the tables, just to welcome. We love to stop here for lunch four times a year when we travel I-5, did not know Huffs was there, just took a chance.Such a good meal.
We went on a Wednesday for lunch and just for fun. Great view, great service and and great food. Hubby had the tritip sandwich and fries. I had a street taco and quesadilla. Yummy! It was quiet inside. Also outside seating in covered area and great views!
If you haven't been to Huff's and you live in the Redding area, you are missing out. It's so close and the view, ambiance, service and offerings are so nice! Make it a destination. See you there!
Tessa was my bartender, she is by far the best bartender at the place. I didn't eat, just had drinks at the bar. Tessa was super great and really nice, made really delicious drinks.
Hailey was our server, my fishing buddy and I asked if we could split a sandwich and a salad Wednesday evening, (we don’t eat like we did when we were younger) Hailey was so professional, and sweet, she got our dinner to us and checked on us often during our meal. You have a server superstar there Huffs, take good care of her, we hope to see her again come September, Many thanks Hailey! Mark T. And Roy
Even though it was Labor Day Sunday and very busy...staff was smiling and very pleasant. Food, drinks and service were great! Enjoyed ourselves.
Had the Thanksgiving buffet, and it was excellent. Plenty of delicious food. Will definitely be back.
My wife Susan and I came to Huff’s At Shasta marina after visiting the Shasta caverns. We were kindly greeted by Nick , a new bartender at Huff’s. We proceeded to the bar area of the restaurant and WOW……what an amazing view sitting at that bar! 🤗👏 We were greeted by Heather, also a new bartender, who we learned coincidentally worked with bartender Nick at Kahunas! They made our experience so much fun! Thank you 🙏 💕We will definitely be back, not only to re-visit our new favorite 😍 bartenders, but to enjoy the beautiful scenery and delicious, affordable food and drinks 🍹 ! We happened to be there during happy hour which was such a great deal !!!! We loved this place and the experience!😘👏
Huff's at Bridge Bay is a must-visit spot if you're looking for delicious food paired with beautiful scenery. The outdoor dining area overlooks the lake and marina, making it the perfect place to relax and take in the view while enjoying your meal. It’s peaceful, scenic, and ideal for a casual lunch or sunset dinner. The food is fresh and flavorful, with a good variety of options to suit everyone. The service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, you can tell the staff genuinely cares about creating a great experience. One of the best parts? It’s dog-friendly! Our pup (pitbull) was welcomed with a bowl of water and plenty of love from the staff and guests. If you're in the area, definitely stop by Huff's. Great food, great service, and an unbeatable atmosphere. Chicken sandwich is 9/10 Chicken Alfredo is 8/10 (good flavor, a little watery)
Ran our wake boat all the way down here from Antlers for dinner. Had a great variety and the views are fantastic. Parked the boat at the lower dock with no worries. I can see how some reviews say the food is OK. I think if people go here ALL the time, the menu doesn't change much. Not sure if you can knock a company for not changing now and then. Would definitely go back. There were 7 of us, all drank and had dinner and some apps around $250.00 with tip.
This place is awesome. Went in and had a great meal with an incredible view. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and the slaw had snap and flavor, which mixed well with my drink. Good cocktails, live music and the bill wasn't too bad either. Definitely going back.
Food was amazing! We went on Saturday night and got delicious steaks that were cooked just right. The veggies and potato’s were amazing as well, and the watermelon margaritas were just as good. There were two bartenders and two servers upstairs and all were ever attentive and took good care of us. Our server, Payton I believe is what she said did everything to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. They were pretty busy but still, the food came out quick and food runners were very friendly! We will be back!
Such a great experience. Lunch was incredible and sitting over the lake was beautiful. Well priced and worth the visit. Thanks!
If you want to eat and relax near the lake with a nice view, this restaurant is for you! Pros: 1. They bring food quickly 2. Balanced menu 3. Polite staff 4. Clean 5. Tasty Cons: 1. The pasta with chicken was served too watery. You can see it in my photo.
Good food Great location and nice atmosphere. Very conveniently located off of shasta lake so anyone with a ski boat or water craft can dock their boat and enjoy a nice lunch or drink throughout the day or evening. We highly recommend this place.
This is my second time here and every time it gets better! The view is amazing anywhere you seat you will get a beautiful view of Shasta lake The service is always awesome no complaints here. At 110 outside we need it something cold and fresh so the Asian salad was it! No disappointments here it was so so good I could eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner… it was missing a couple of things like the sprouts and mint which I imagine it would’ve been even better! The only thing was I wish it had more rice noodles, noodles were more of a garnish! Anyways even then the salad was bomba!!!! If you are there get it with extra chili dressing is finger licking good!
We had a wonderful lunch experience we picked the patio but they have beautiful wood ceiling and lighting inside. Delicious food and super friendly waitress. We have owned a home here in shasta lake for 7 years and just stumbled across this gem. Definitely worth going to and we will be back!!!
We recently hosted our wedding here at Huff’s on their outdoor Vista and we had a wonderful experience! The entire venue is beautiful, and the grass vista has so much room for both the ceremony and reception along with the prettiest views. They also have indoor options for weddings/events in the restaurant that are beautiful and have lake views as well. You just can’t beat it, they include so much in their wedding package already, plus the restaurant does the catering which was delicious and extremely convenient, and there is a hotel on site which was perfect for all guests coming from out of town. Ashley and her husband were so amazing and made the wedding planning process as stress-free for us as possible. All in all we would highly recommended this venue to host any event, small or large. We would also recommend the restaurant alone as they have amazing food and beautiful lake views!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We hosted my mother-in-law’s surprise 70th birthday dinner in the private room at Huff’s at Bridge Bay, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish! First off, a huge shoutout to Ashley, the incredible Event Coordinator, who helped us pull off every detail flawlessly. Our server Jesus was attentive, warm, and on point all night. The chef deserves major applause—the food was absolutely EXCELLENT. The pesto chicken was tender and flavorful, the BBQ tri-tip was perfectly cooked and smoky, and the loaded mashed potatoes were a crowd favorite (I could eat a bowl of those every day!). Also, a special thank you to Dillon, the hostess with the mostess, who greeted everyone with such energy and kindness—she set the tone for the evening. The private dining room was perfect for the occasion, and the whole team made us feel welcome, cared for, and like we were celebrating at a five-star venue. Amazing time had by all—we can’t wait to come back!
Amazing service and Great food. The Best views of Shasta Lake from the huge Wrap around windows in the restaurant and in the upstairs Bar and Lounge. They have outside seating as well and I can't think of a better way to watch a sunset over the lake. Truly a treasure and worth the drive.
Overlooking Shasta lake is this great bar and restaurant. It's at the marina and was about 10 minutes from our campsite. Great views and food with wonderful staff. Highly recommend this place if you're in the Sutherlin area
Good food, great service, amazing views! This is on the side of a lake, seating out in the balcony is the best option, their home made tartar sauce is delicious as well. This is somewhat hidden from the highway 5, so it feels like you found a treasure.
It's the atmosphere! Lake goers, city dwellers, or just passing thru.. Cam and the gang have a great place.. in the ol days of Trent and the tail of the whale, the place still could use some updates, but it's fun, great food, awesome atmosphere as well 😀
Soft opening was nice. We went there for our anniversary. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Food was good - Crab cakes, Coconut shrimp Poorboy sandwich with fries, crab sandwich with Caesar salad. We'll be back after the new menu and the actual grand opening.

Huff’s service was SO good—friendly, efficient and had that “we are already friends” vibe. I have to give a shout out to Burton, our super friendly bartender! But I don’t want to miss any of the other waitstaff who all went above and beyond with service. We saw a great band, enjoyed our burgers and saw lots of people like us having a great time! A great night out!

It's not the Cookhouse anymore.. It's called Huffs now, so the menu is different and those Bloody Mary's with the sliders and onion rings are no longer available, the food is still great but more expensive and the Bloody Mary is still really good, still has a piece of bacon, a shrimp, 2 olives, a pepper, some kind of cheese, a slice of lime, and like a sweet piece of jerky all on a stick. Our waitress was great, and all the other people that worked there were also very friendly and great! We got the 18oz rib eye and it was delicious..spent $130 for 2 people... But we had a great time with great friends!
My husband enjoyed his steak, the filet cut. I had the caesar salad which was doused in dressing almost to the point of soginess. The lemon coconut dessert was divine. This is the first time we ever received a check with a space to leave a tip for the chef. Drinks were good, view was nice, building shows a lot of wear. Payton, our server was a fun guy.
Lovely place to hold a wedding. This girl love a rare steak, but the prime rib was served to raw even for me. The bride couldn't even eat it. Half the wedding party is lactose, and this fact was made aware to the kitchen staff when they rented the venue. There was cheese on the rolls, on the salad and they said the mash was diary free (it was not) The sound system up stairs need an update. But the servers and busses working there are top notch and very helpful
Didn't go to the restaurant. Visited the room for rent for large parties. My daughter is getting married in February 2025. The room is rustic, large windows viewing the lake, stage area. There is a sign in the room that says it holds 175, but the lady said it's actually about 100-120. I'm not sure about that many? Maybe 80? They have a lot of options for using decorations, tables, them setting up and decorating, beautiful bride room for bride and get ladies to get ready. It didn't look like anything for the men except for the regular bathrooms. They have many other options for bringing own food, catering from them or from outside catering, drinks, and bartender or open bar. Love the ease of use and options available. There is not much parking by the entrance, but there is more parking lower, just a short uphill walk. I will have to drop my husband off at the entrance since he has bad knees, then park and walk up. Looks like it will be worth it, though. Will probably post again after the wedding to let everyone know how it went, pros or cons. I'm hoping it's perfect!
Good vibe, good view, good food. Simple meal at a good price but not that place I have to visit again. The wait staff was great and attentive.
I visited here twice in 3 days, once with my husband and we sat out on the patio and looked out over the lake. It was totally gorgeous. The food was good. He had a big ribeye steak and I had the fig and apple salad with feta, which was fantastic. Then I went back on a motorcycle ride with my daughter and we both had the crab sandwiches, which were very yummy and we both took half home with us. Both of the wait staff were fantastic. On my second visit, Anna the manager was so kind, she came out and took a picture of us with the lake in the background. It's a great place, has a full bar and a great view and good food!!
Went there on a whim with a friend for a relaxing lunch. Server was good (poor kid spent 7 minutes looking for a straw.. who runs out of straws?) food was great and came out in good timing! The only thing that would deter us from coming again is what we assume is the manager/supervisor lady who had to let the entire place know her presence. Wasn't pleasant to try to talk when all we could hear is her and the staff seemed a bit uneasy with her around.. other than that, we will definitely consider returning!
Had a great time here with our family. They have a pretty good happy hour, lots of drink and food specials! Great hospitality here and you can't beat the view. Such a nice place to visit. Now the food is just ok and it is pretty pricey for mediocre microwaved fare. $22 for a cheeseburger? And it was dry and just meh. Everything is just served warm, nothing hot and crispy. If they get a better cook or different menu it could be great. But if you're looking to take a lake break this isn't too bad a place to pass some time.
Perch on the side of the hill overlooking Bridgebay marina and I5 bridge the two-story restaurant offers amazing view. The $25 brunch was OK. It included the usual fare, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, biscuits, gravy, and etc. Also included a made order omelette bar. For the most part, the food wasn’t spectacular, but would be about the same price you would pay off the menu. The service was exceptional. The server was friendly and attentive. If I’m in the area, I would certainly try it again.
The wife and I visited for our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service we received. We started the night with an appetizer of coconut prawns and that's the reason this is 4 stars and not 5. The were overcooked and chewy and the presentation on top of the pineapple made the batter slimy. Good flavor but not worth what it cost. We shared a golden cider cocktail that was phenomenal and one of the best mixed drinks we've ever shared. For dinner we both had ribeye. I had the burbon aged and hers was the original. The burbon age steak was in my top three steaks of all time. My #1 is cowboy star in co springs. The unique buttery sweet rich flavor on that steak was like nothing I've ever had before. If you're looking for a unique flavor without being overly whimsical this steak is it. They also blessed us with a complentary desert for our anniversary. We need to visit huffs more!
I ordered a local beer Fall River IPA and a Fish and Chips, the view from my table was really nice, overlooking the Bridge Bay and the Bridge. The Highway and railroad on the bridge were busy with traffic and freight trains, and it’s very nice to watch during the dinner, since I was just traveling alone, but never lonely.😎😊 I took a nice postprandial walk to the water after dinner, and sat on the chairs watching the sunset. It was a Thursday’s, so it was really quiet and peaceful! Highly recommended!

The food was nicer than I expected and our server was very kind. I only wish there was a bit more to the atmosphere. It seemed very bare in the downstairs seating, I almost thought the building was closed. After eating, my family and I checked out the upstairs seating, which had a much nicer atmosphere. Overall, a nice restaurant with a unique view of the lake.
We had a great lunch here coming back from Shasta Caverns. The burgers were delicious. We also enjoyed the bacon-cheese fries. All five of my kids finished their meals (no small feat) and the appetizers. We can't wait to go back.

It's mothers day no one told us they were serving buffet only untill 3! so we sat and had cocktails till 3 menu was 20.00 a plate and up but here's the deal if you pay 20 bucks for a burger and Fry's the Fry's need to be hot! The food was Mediocre for 22.00 you can see what you get for fish and chips. I think a side of coleslaw would complement this meal. it's so complicated to even explain. There were so many of us, but not one of us was what you call. Truly happy which I know they can do better. I had the Asian nachos. It looks beautiful but I think it should have a lot more spice to it and a lot more Asian flavors to it. It was pretty bland the French dip. The au jus was very bland the fish and chips. The fish was good but not crispy and the fries were soggy and not hot and there was also pizza and it was okay. I'm not complaining and I think that it could be better. Maybe because they were so busy. But that was our experience at Huff's at bridge Bay, which I love bridge Bay and we'll go back in hopes that they can and will be improved. It's hard being a small business with employees in the food bizz but it needs to be the best in today's world. Just my opinion.
We have always had great food there. My one suggestion for the chimichurri wings is to have a side of it as they don't taste any different than the BBQ ones. The BBQ ones come with a side of bbq sauce. Chimichurri sauce on the side would be awesome
To begin, the venue is beautiful. The menu had something for everyone. We were seated right away, even though we didn't have a reservation. However we waited a good 15-20 minutes before being greeted by our server. She was pleasant. But she made many mistakes. First, greet the table within 5 minutes of being seated, she didn't do this. Second make sure everyone is happy and has everything they need after food arrives. Third, frequently check if anything is needed i.e. refills. The food was hit or miss. The Huff's fries were a hit! Everyone at the table enjoyed them and they were of ample size. The wings were good, however they did not have enough flavor. The steak salad had very little steak for the price. The worst was the pasta dishes. All the pasta was waaaaay overcooked. They were also served in very warm bowls which added to the pasta being overcooked. The Stuffed chicken marsala had little to no marsala flavor and very few mushrooms. The potatoes were cooked well but had no seasoning. The chicken Alfredo was an absolute disaster. In fact she couldn't even eat it. In addition to the pasta being mushy from the overcooking, the sauce was watery, not creamy, and had no Parmesan flavor. In fact I'm not sure that there was even Parmesan in the dish. The chicken was pleasantly seasoned, but also overcooked and dry. When our server finally came back to our table to upsell us dessert, everyone was out of drinks. When we told her about the Alfredo being inedible, her response was... well inappropriate. She should have offered to remake the dish, another dish, a free dessert, and sent over her manager. She did none of these things. We left, hungry and disappointed. The 3 stars are for the few things they did right. We do not recommend Huff's.
The restaurant and it's furnitings need a deep cleaning. The restrooms need to be tended to and supplied. A simple baked potato was either over baked or left over from the night before. We love the lake view and service.
Staff was friendly and the views of lake Shasta were beautiful, but the food was nothing special. Eggs and bacon were good, but meal only came with a single slice of toast, no jelly was present and none was offered and the hash browns weren't crispy at all, seemed like they were the precooked kind that you just hear up, kinda dry and a bit chewy. Kinda sad as when the place was tail of the whale the food was much better.
I came in during a slow time and asked if its the type of place I could do some work on my laptop and charge it. The bartender pointed to an outlet I could use. Though the staff seems to shade and talk down on people that "loiter" even when they asked permission or were given the idea that the can hang out and look out onto the bridge without immediately purchasing something. There was literally barely any customers if any one the only open floor, the second. I waited at bit, but did end up getting wine and nachos but it was just weird being around a bunch of staff that seemed to be exhibiting very exclusive turn-your-nose up attitude. "We'll tell you to leave and never come back" - (regardless of who you're talking about, gossiping this way seem unprofessional within earshot of customers). Views are great. Atmosphere and seating are great. Food is decent (great affordable apps, but also more expensive steak and seafood meals). Staff makes me not want to leave tip or come back though. Maybe I will just sit outside next time if I ever use this marina as a boat ramp again. In addition, this has less to do with staff, but just the type of customers this establishment might attract. A woman with her kids came in while I'm the only other customer sat and she says snidely "out of all the seats you could choose." .... Thankfully I'm met a couple nice people in Shasta but this put a sour taste in my mouth 🤷♀️

There was great atmosphere, and we were fully excited to dine here for the first time, at our was recommended by a friend. The steaks were gray and flavorless. The food wasn't brought out in a timely manner and then some items had been forgotten. Thank you to the server for comping some of the badly cooked food. Nobody explained that the desserts needed to be deep fried and would be brought out individually. Overall, a disappointing experience.
I went at about 5:30 at night and it was severely understaffed the poor girl at the top of the restaurant was the only one working and was running around like crazy. The food was bland and definitely not worth the prices. I'm really disappointed. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because the waitress tried her best.
Food is served on a cutting board. Eggs were runny, should of been on a plate. Bacon was dry. Gravy was salty and stock bland gross tasting. Does not offer kids meals or side items. Only offers 2 types toast and country potatoes. Does not advertise automatic gratitude on big groups but charges you for it.
Everything was great except the service, our waiter was overwhelmed and paid us little attention. We had a wedding party of 8 people, I literally had to get his attention every time we needed anything. We had small glasses of water and he never asked if we needed a refill. He never asked if we needed anything! We had to ask for literally everything we needed and he would forget about us.
The toast was BURNT and so was my friends biscuits. Which btw was misspelled on the menu. The eggs were cold. So my complaint only lies with the kitchen and the fact that the highish prices should reflect the food quality.
I didn't like the food it came super cold or hot. The service was great they made sure we got everything we wanted, and the place was great. I loved the chairs they were super comfy, but this place definitely deserves 2 stars
Can't rate the food or the atmosphere. We have visited twice before and everything was fine. We've recommended it to friends and family when in the area. This experience was less than ideal. When you're setting expectations for wait times and say 15 minutes and then 30 minutes hits, you tell the customer they will be sat next after seating a reservation. Only to have the customer wait another 10 minutes to walk out cause of expectation. Not sure we will be back for some time.
The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the wings were pretty good. We were seated right away. Took 20 min to get a drink order. When food order was finally taken, it took about 30-40 min to receive our food. Wings and Huffs fries were good. The alfredo sauce was runny and flavorless with over ookex pasta and was completely unedible. The chicken marsala had no sauce and you could barely taste the marsala. When our concerns were voiced to our server, her response was "that's unfortunate. " We had a difficult time getting our drinks refilled as our waitress was too busy with the table next to us to pay us any attention. For $175, you would think that the service would be better. The manager should have at least come by to acknowledge our complaints. I do not recommend this place for a sit down restaurant.
I wonder if the owner of this place has a manager at this restaurant because the truth is they don't even have the most basic things to prepare a breakfast. The service is focused on friends of workers. The food arrives without all the ingredients offered on the menu. They have everything to have a first-class service and they don't take advantage of it.
Unfortunately, this visit was not as great as my last. Yes, the view was amazing, but the dead bugs and flies in the window sil diminished the view. The service was great, our server seemed new, and did the best he could do. The food for our entire table was not great, nothing special about it for the price, cold when it should have been hot, over cooked fried fish, it was very disappointing.
Went up there with the family for Sunday breakfast and was hoping for the buffet since we always enjoyed it and was sad to hear that it wasn't running right now which we understood with the off season but the lady said they have an amazing breakfast menu so we still decided to try it. It was the worst breakfast, service, and experience I have ever had in a restaurant. We understood walking in with 6 adults and 3 kids would possibly be a wait but walking in there was only a table of 4 sat right away and then us for upstairs and downstairs. Server told us she could not seat us and we needed to go back over to the waiting area and wait when I went to help her move chairs because she was the only one there at the time. When I asked if they had a kid's breakfast menu she said, "no we only serve breakfast twice a week." Literally the worst excuse ever and a continual excuse for why they had nothing. My 3 year old daughter, and I didn't even eat or order as there was no options on the menu that were even appealing. Which was the best choice. My brother ordered a coffee and she never even once offered cream or sugar, which was not already on the table. She even refilled his coffee once and spilled half of the coffee on the ground and never returned to clean it up. Which could cause an accident. The gravy that was served with their biscuits and gravey and chicken fried steak was brown looking gravy and I tried my dad's and it was salty and tasted like oil. They had no milk gravy which was such a change from the buffet. When bringing out the food the server told my dad that she dropped some of his bacon on the ground and instead of bringing the replacement bacon out on another plate for him she told him that she put it on our family friend's plate and told us to divide it up and share. As a previous server for 8 years that is something I would have never done! It was so rude and disrespectful. As a server you never assume!!! When we told her the food was not good she said "yep well we're only open twice a week for breakfast." When we asked if there was any other toast side options like wheat she said "nope only sourdough and English muffin cause we're only open twice a week for breakfast." She never offered anything to make it better. She just went "yep okay," and ignored us. Now I understand sitting there we are a group of 9 but on paper only 7 people ordered. It does not state on their breakfast menu that there is an automatic 20% gratuity for parties over 8 so it came as a shock to us when we saw it on the receipt. For horrible food and horrible service and nothing but attitude from the server, and not even a server doing her job checking on the table, making sure we had everything, or offering any assistance in any way. I even pre-bussed all the dishes for her so it was easier clean up. She was also not busy at all she had our table, another table of 4 and the other server had the other 2 tables that were there. As a previous server I would have never counted a 3 year old child in the party count nor would I have counted someone that didn't eat but was just visiting with the table. I didn't even order something to drink! I honestly think she added it cause she knew the food was bad and she knew her service was terrible she just wnated to make sure she still got her money. Which is sad cause that's how and why you get shitty service. We really enjoyed their breakfast buffet during the season, but after this experience, we won't be back to even try it and see if it's any different. It's frustrating watching my dad spend hid hard earned money to want to take his family and grandkids out to breakfast so we can all see each other to just get crap food, attitude, and crap service. I do not recommend going there for breakfast. Save your money!!! I know this is a long review but it was just such a horrible experience, and so much was wrong. If I could give it a zero star, I would. I honestly hope this gets back to the owner and they make some changes, or just close breakfast entirely.
Ordered the Fish and Chips. BIG mistake. The cook has no idea what he/she is doing. Nice cuts of fish totally ruined. The batter was slippery and dripping oil. The fries were thin and over cooked, and buried in salt and PEPPER. Atmosphere: Our booth was adjacent to what was once a glass door that had been blocked off by a single 2x6 board. This board had been placed so that customers view of the lake is totally obstructed. It could have been placed a foot higher or lower and saved the one thing this place has going for it. The view. Wait staff: Very friendly, professional, and efficient.
The food was just was a Ceasars salad it was $14 dollars for the size that we got was looks like it was like $2 dollars then when we order fried calamari on the phone when we got there they said that we don't have that but on the menu its says they do have have it then my bf order fish n chips they said it would take 20 mins it took alot longer than he ask the manager for a glass of water she said oh k but then she went to another table gave them there drinks and start to talk to another worker then went upstairs and its about 100 degrees outside my bf could of gotten sick or worse so I think that manager and that worker needs to get fired and that restaurant needs to go out of business.
Waited 50 mins for a steak salad & tacos. Server seemed more interested with the boys at the bar than her tables. Menu was overpriced and limited. Small and crammed environment upstairs with a beautiful balcony with 0 seating outside. Was really hoping to like this place!
Very disappointed. If this were a Denny's and the cost was $10.00 per plate, then our experience would have been fine. But at $20.00+ per plate and at a nice location on the tourist lake, then this place leaves mush to be desired. First, the two female employees (the bartender and the waitress) were dressed like they were working at a hot dog stand. Is nice work clothing too much to ask? The french fries that came with the burger were way over cooked. They were rock solid. The smash burger was so small that I was still hungry afterwards. The wait staff never came to check on how our drinks were doing during dinner, we all only had one round of water / soda. The steak salad was very small for the price. On a good note, the french dip had lots and lots of meat and was tasty. the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was very good, both inside and outside. This place used to be called Tale of the the Whale yrs ago. It was top notch then.
What is the point of calling in a reservation a week in advance? The manager and their host failed to manage their reservations. Our reservation was at 7pm and they said it would be an hour wait. I understand 10 or 15 minutes but an hour is ridiculous. To add to it the host was extremely rude.
We’ve been coming to the restaurant at Bridge Bay for years. We went for my birthday celebration and had planned on spending a good amount of money. When I found a server he was text messaging behind a counter. We found our table out on the back patio with our pups. We had 3 kids and 2 adults. The server brought us menus and walked away. Came back about 10 minutes later where we had to ask for kids menus. Another 10 minutes he came and took our drink order. Mind you at this point there were 3 tables inside and the rest of the place was empty . It was not packed. He took our order and disappeared. 40 minutes later, we had been there now an hour and 12 minutes food finally came out. We asked the young man who brought the food for ketchup and he brought us an empty bottle. We asked for another one and it was also less than 1/2” in the bottle , 3 of us had French fries. We asked for a full bottle of ketchup. The kid huffed and left and never returned. We ate our food wanting more beer, margaritas and Shirley temples but our server never came back. Another woman came out to serve a different table and we had to flag her down for our server. At this point it had been 53 minutes since we had last seen our server and asked for the bill. The gentleman got mad at us and said we didn’t need to be upset. We had planned on spending another $150 on 5 desserts and drinks but left outraged by the service and lack of respect. He didn’t say he was sorry or anything. We will not be returning to what has been a long time favorite spot on the lake!
