Me n my aunt went to this place after our walk. We both liked the bakery n the coffee. There is not too much seats. It gets packed. Idk the bakery names since there is no label. But people there is nice and the food looks good but we aren’t that hungry since we had late breakfast. The place looks nice too. It’s not like super quiet place. You can hear some noises. I see people study or read there. They have some lunch items besides beverages and bakeries.
☕️🌯🥐🍪 I’ve been to Syndicate multiple times and will go out of my way to pop in. Their coffee options are great and I love that they have a “mood ring” choice that I’ve never seen anywhere else. Their pastries are dangerously delicious too! What puts this place over the edge for me is the customer service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ they are always so pleasant and just so welcoming and warm. I’ve interacted with many different staff members and ALL of them were great. Keep up the great work!!!
I visited this coffee shop in Sierra Madre since I was meeting up with a coworker, and it was a great choice. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, perfect for getting work done. The service was top-notch, and both the drip coffee and vanilla latte were amazing. The place was clean and had such a pleasant vibe that it made focusing on work easy. I’ll definitely be coming back!
TASTY food, delicious coffee, great atmosphere, and good chairs for sitting for a long time while catching up with a friend!! The paint job is changed again (I originally came for the retro look but it’s still nice with the stars). Chorizo Burrito- AMAZING and highly recommend with its dazzling flavors and matching hot sauce Coconut Coffee- SO good and unique! Caramel Coffee- also very tasty!! Smore Crownie (cookie/brownie)- SOOO good!!! The employees are friendly as well and this was such a great coffee shop! Music not too loud and the view through the window is nice of the little shops nearby. Definitely coming back!
If you're looking for a great pull of espresso, you'll definitely want to stop by. Also tried a SO cold brew and it was great. For me, two things missing: 1) side of sparkling with my espresso and 2) more seating for people to chill and get some work done. But, that doesn't't stop them from making great coffee.
the nitro cold brew was delicious as i wish they had a larger size! we got assistance with some questions from the nice young lady at the register who helped us decide what to ultimately settle on eating and drinking. i'll be sure to go for a 'mood ring' next time! the area surrounding this shop is really nice too.
(this portion is for during Pandemic) indoor only allows 3 party at a time, outdoor seating all has dividers, overall a safe environment to stay. Indoor is pretty spacious, probably due to not having any seating available but I can see it being relatively the same when available. I was immediately greeted by the barista. The barista explained the specialty drinks are all using syrup made by themselves, so I ordered the vanilla flavored latte "Plain Jane". Wait time was average, they do take time on making the drinks and I really appreciate that. Plain Jane is a smooth, sweeten but not overly sweet drink, and you can really taste the difference in vanilla syrup. Overall an extremely good experience.
Delicious food and the coffee is very special. If you like sea salt, I would recommend to order Bolt. And if you like tuna, Tina Melt would be a good choice.
A quaint little coffee shop packed with personality. There's a little couch in the corner to sit on while you wait for your order. Emily was especially nice as the took our order. Very high quality coffee from Unity coffee, an ethically sourced roasting company. It's near my house so it's a great choice for an early morning fix. ^_^ Edit: They got a new menu fixture!
What isn't there to like about this place? Some of the best pastries you can find in the SGV. Staff are wonderful, the owner is pretty great too. Nice community coffee shop in Sierra Madre.
Home run! Best pastries in SoCal. Made in the bakery here. Alex the owner is super cool and is a great manager and leader. His staff loves him and it shows. Thomas M Brady

🤌 Easily the best coffee bakery combo in the LA area. It’s hard to find a place that does everything right and maintains unique character without being a sterile, soulless LA coffee shop. Syndicate always has friendly (cool, yet somehow unpretentious) staff, amazing food, good tunes, and the intangible happy vibration that is missing from so many cold wifi laptop holes that most modern cafes have a tendency to become. Enjoy a cup looking on to the mountains of Sierra Madre high above the classic town square.

Great little bakery in Sierra Madre with amazing tasting coffee and baked goods. I visited on a Saturday morning around 10:30 and it was already packed. From what I gather, the bakery is still in it's soft opening phase so the menu options are limited. When you first enter, you'll notice the bakery is brightly lit by all the windows facing the street. All of that natural light illuminates the interior, which is painted yellow. The bar is also busy with baristas and bakers making everything for customers to enjoy. I tried their latte with oat milk that's sweetened by their house made honey syrup. It was delicious to say the least and the latte art was beautifully executed. I also had their chocolate brownie that looked amazing but my taste buds thought it was too sweet for my taste; not necessarily applicable for everyone. I'd definitely come back and do work here once they get more tables because they only have one at the moment. I also hope they have WiFi in the future.

We really enjoy this coffee shop. The two-star rating is not for the drinks but for the pork chile verde burrito we had. It was very salty which unfortunately led to the saltiness overtaking the other flavors of the burrito. The barista/ cashier was very helpful with her suggestions for my drink. The mocha was great! If there was a drink rating option that would have come in high.

Fantastic drinks (we got a matcha with honey and an iced bolt, which is a sea salt caramel latte)!! my husband loved his breakfast burrito, but I wasn’t a huge fan. It was pretty heavy (eggs, cheese, hash) without any fresh ingredients like tomatoes to balance the greasier components. I’d return for coffee and because the service was friendly and warm, but not for a whole meal since prices are pretty high.
Very friendly and personable server (he's not a Scorpio, he just likes scorpions), coffee came very quickly, plenty of seating indoors (17 seats), including the very comfy living room-like padded armchair I was on, another 15 or so seats right outside, but 2 drawbacks: the coffee, their top listed Cafe Noir, although delicious, was barely warm; the Vegan Blueberry muffin, although delicious, was extremely crumbly and so I needed a napkin in my lap and should have used a spoon to eat it instead of having to repeatedly pick out the crumbs with my fingers. And some of it was inedible as the muffin paper was stuck to the muffin in a few places. (Guessing those 2 issues had to do with it being vegan so my rec is to avoid any of those).
Small indoor seating and outdoors. No public restroom. If you like Tuna and pickles, you’ll love the Tuna melt($14). The cold brew here is good. I would avoid the Matcha though. Prices are higher here than other local coffee shops. $1 for milk alternative and $1 for sweetener.

This is one of those order at the register and pick up your order when ready. It amazes me that a place like this expects tips - when they do virtually nothing service wise. Seating is sparse and uncomfortable outside on tiny benches with tiny tables. The food is good, but was not hot enough.
If time and money are no object this is the coffee shop for you. The food was delicious, coffee, if made correctly, on point. My husband and I waited in line for 15 minutes and once we got the counter we waited another 15 minutes while the cashier had a small panic attack at being asked to espresso grind a $48 bag of beans. We then waited for four pastries and one latte for 38 minutes. Everyone was very friendly but very new. The only person who seemed to know what was going on was the cook who had been given the smallest wok space and the gal rolling out scones who had her headphones on. Based on other reviews I have to assume they are based on non peak hours and were getting basic items. This is the not the before work coffee shop. It’s a linger, chat, eat before you come if it’s a weekend. But everyone was very nice and it was tasty although the prices were somewhat alarming.

I only came to this coffee shop on a pit stop because my partner and I were on our way elsewhere. We saw the good reviews and said “yeah let’s try this place out”. I ordered a strawberry matcha and she ordered a vanilla iced latte. Both drinks were not good, but we didn’t want to go through them remaking it again- so we sucked it up. We also ordered food. Two breakfast burritos, one with no meat- that was messed up too. The person who rang us up was super nice and wanted to make it up to us but the person who messed up the burrito wasn’t as accommodating and didn’t own up to their mistake. So I left there, not satisfied with my drink and one burrito down. I appreciate the hospitality with the coupon for a free beverage or pastry but after trying the drinks and being disappointed- I will not be returning.

NO BATHROOM. Wifi keeps dropping. Half of their tea selection was sold out. I was told to go to Starbucks if I needed a restroom, and since I was hoping to knock out some work at a cafe between appointments in the area, for the first time in my life I wish I had gone to Starbucks instead of trying to support a small business. Good music, it smells like bacon, nice staff.
