I had the fillet of fish with the tomato salsa on top and it was absolutely delicious! My grandson had the steak quesadillas and they were huge and delicious!
Really good Salvadoran food I’ll definitely be back. The pupusa are are awesome. And I really like the molcajete I highly recommend this dish
We are very glad to have this unique, quality dining option in Siloam Springs. Sometimes pizza and burgers are not what you are looking for, if you know what I mean. La Chele 2, thanks for providing an excellent alternative. We are looking forward to having more alternatives in Siloam Springs.
Delicious food and very good service, I'm happy we were able to go and enjoy our lunch! The only complaint we had was that they were out of a few menu items, but other than that it was great! That doesn't seem to be the case all the time though! I thought it might be a little pricy, but the portions of food were large and definitely worth the money! I got the chicken fajitas and I'm sure it could have served 2 of us (I was just really hungry so I at all of it!). Not only was the chicken fajita good, the beans and rice were also really tasty! I enjoyed the flavor- different than other Hispanic places here in town. The service was great, everyone there was very friendly and our food came out pretty quickly so that was good especially during a work lunch break! It was very helpful to get in and out in an hour without any trouble. I wish I was able to try their papusas since that is their specialty, but I can't have a ton of carbs. I've heard VERY good things about them from others though and I will definitely split one with someone the next time I go! Im very excited to try this place again and try something else on the menu - they have chicken, pork, steak, seafood and chorizo dishes on the menu - ALL good things when it comes to their El Salvadorean menu!
Got the steak fajita combo and it was pretty amazing. However, the true winner was the pork, bean, and cheese pupusa if you get some beans to put on top. So good! Staff was great and very personable.
If you want authentic food from El Salvador this is the place. I went with my family and we ordered a few different plates and they were all really good! I don’t think you can go wrong with anything. This place would be my first choice if I were to come back and visit. The pupusas and the chicken tamales were absolutely delicious! I would 100% recommended to family and friends!
If you are looking for truly authentic Salvadorean food, this is the place if you're anywhere in the Fayetteville/Siloam Springs area. The employees were very friendly and polite, the facility was clean and the food was amazing.
I wanted to give the restaurant a 4.5.. the place was very clean and the service was quick. I ordered pupusas for the second time and they are phenomenal! I also ordered tacos. The only reasons I don’t think I’d give 5 stars is because the tortillas, asada, and rice were a little dry. Flavor was good though. The other reason was because the staff wasn’t wearing masks, which for me personally it didn’t seem responsible during another covid surge. Other than those things it is a great place and everyone should try them out! I’ll be going back for their pupusas for sure :)
La Chele 2. Interesting name for a restaurant. For me, it is hard to accurately evaluate ethnic foods if you don’t know what the authentic taste, composition or presentation should be. Most of the Central American food that I have had is very lightly seasoned. The foods rely almost solely on the flavors of the vegetables, fruits and meats in the dish with very limited strong spices such as the chili peppers and other spices that stand out in Mexican food. As for La Chele 2. The food is made with fresh ingredients, prepared when you order it. The Arroz con Pollo was as expected, unseasoned or very lightly seasoned. It was simply the flavors of the chicken, mushrooms, onions and cheese. The menu says the chicken was cooked in a special salsa. It may have been, if so, it was very mild. After a couple of bites, my wife who seldom eats hot sauce, was reaching for the bottle to flavor up her plate. The portions were large, the food hot and fresh! A few minutes later my Pollo Guisado (Salvadorean style chicken pot roast) arrived at the table. I immediately asked for the house made salsa picante. This dish (recommended by the owner) had chicken thighs and all the vegetables you would expect in a pot roast and a few more: carrots, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, and potatoes. The house salsa picante really helped. The black beans were excellent! The sauce with the Pollo Guisado was very rich. Made that way from the fat rendered from the stewed chicken during cooking or possibly added oil or butter. The broth had a distinct yellow color with the noticeable taste of chicken flavoring added. A delicious, rich meal. Both meals were served with thick house made corn tortillas. I could have made a meal of the tortillas, black beans and the house salsa picante. La Chele 2 is located in a modest, repurposed suite in a declining strip mall just north of Hwy 412 on Mt Olive St. Order and pay at the counter. A mom-and-pop operation with limited service. They do a lot of take-out business. They have a fair-sized menu. If you are not a Salvadorian food expert, check the menu here before you go. It will save you some time! The Salvadorian cuisine will unlikely be my favorite As for La Chele 2, the freshness of the food and the large portions made it worth trying. I liked it. We tried this restaurant today for the first time. We both ordered pupusas and a side of fried yucca and chicharrones, both were really good. The pupusas we're well made and stuffed, the flavor was great. The service was adequate and the place itself was adequate. We do plan on visiting again and trying other dishes.
First time eating here. The restaurant was clean and the server was very polite. We had pupusas and the breakfast plates. They were very good. I also had the sopa de Res and that was not good at all. It did not taste like sopa de Res- it had a very weird taste. Rice was very salty. Other than the sop de res we liked everything else and we will be coming back.
Very very good food. I suggest going in because it wasn’t a smooth experience trying to do a to-go order. They forgot stuff and I had to show them what I ordered so I would actually get it. Just go in, it’s a better experience
It was my first time at a salvadorian restaurant in siloam springs. I myself have visited other salvadorian restaurants in Northwest Arkansas. AMAZING decor so authentic! The only concern was the high prices on items that I purchased. Also there is no prices on the items on the menu. They will give you the prices, but it was very misleading. After I ordered the total for 2 meals and 3 drinks was $33.58. Food was good no complaints but I was disappointed about the layout in menu prices.
Got some pupusas and asada tacos. The pupusas were good. The taco meat was hard. Like if the meat was cooked the day before and reheated. Meat had no flavor
Ive called and ordered ahead a couple times. When I order ahead I expect to show up and get my food within 5-10 min of getting there, i still show up a few min after the time they tell me cause I hate waiting. And both times I have shown up for my food they tell me it's still being worked on, I pay n wait 40 -50min for my order! I've already paid,I'm hangry and they've already made me late. It's like they don't care! Well they've lost this client! I'll get pupusas somewhere else next time.
Our grandson wanted to order a special treat for us with doordash. We're shut-ins and the food we got from this restaurant was terrible. The burrito was around 90% dry rice and the rest was bits of hard dry beef. The fajita didn't come with tortillas. And he was ordering while talking to us so we heard what he was getting. We didn't get chips and salsa either. We can not eat any of it, it was just terrible. We called and talked to them and they said that's what doordash sent them and offered as a 10% discount on our next meal which we can't get because we're shut-ins. And we wouldn't get anyway because the food was just so horrible tasting.
I don't understand why a business like this still operating. They are not saling a good salvadorean food. The pupusas don't any flavor. The soups are nasty, They don't taste like the real thing. I'm very unhappy with the service. Somebody need to check on the cooks and owners.
