Opinions de Thai Kitchen Simi Valley
This was my second time there after my daughter invited us to try the restaurant with our exchange students. Both times, the food was excellent and portions were just the right size. Out of the Thai restaurants that I have eaten at, their is among one of the best and reasonably priced.
Nice ambiance, friendly service, tasty appetizer soup or salad, and plentiful delicious entrees. Pad Thai was awesome as was the Basil Leaf Chicken. Can't wait to order the Pad Se Ewe and Panang Curry.
We live in Simi. Thai Kitchen has changed owners over they years but the food doesn't disappoint. It's always good place to go for a great meal. They owner is always so welcoming. Enjoy!
I've been going here for years. The food is amazing and the prices and portions are good. The owner is not overly friendly but the girls that work there are very nice. If it's more about flavor than ambiance for you then this place is awesome.
I eat here religiously! Everything I've ever ordered has been delicious and it's some of the best thai food around. One of the best restaurants in simi. The owner and workers are great people too and treat you like family. Don't overlook this place! Check them out!
The staffs are so friendly and welcoming and I'd say this is the best experience I've ever had. The food is so so delicious at a decent price
Friendly Service and Great Food! The panag curry chicken and thai beef jerky were amazing and my girlfriend really enjoyed her tom kha soup and extra spicy red curry with chicken and shrimp. I will definitely be sure to make this one of my stops when I am visiting Simi from Las Vegas.
Been to Thailand, twice, eaten all over the world, this is one of my favorite restaurants . Been eating ths food for over 25 years (when former owner was in Canoga Park) . Food has always been great and consistant. Owner/chef really pays attention to detail— no pre-made or packaged food- freshness is the rule.. We usually have.... coconut chicken soup, pad thai, cucumber salad, red curry, chicken sate with peanut sauce, long greenbean with pork and steamed rice.. We all ways go with party of 4-6, everyone loves the food.. leftovers are great for lunch the nextday.. Prices are very reasonable— staff and service are excellent.. Bill Bustamante
Very delicious family owned restaurant. Everything we ordered was great, would come back again
Came here for the first time and it was good! Nice that they have lunch specials on the weekend, we had the Pad Thai and Broccoli dishes. Tasted very good!!!
My very favorite Thai food place!! Very nice and accommodating to anything I asked for. Really good food!! My favorites are yellow curry chicken, garlic beef & chicken satay....but also just got the porkchops which were amazing and I'll be ordering again next time!! I've been getting food delivered from Thai Kitchen for over a decade and they've never disappointed me!! Also love the Thai tea and sweet sticky rice!! Tasty, good food!
Recommended dishes (tk grilled beef and house fried rice) were delicious and clean/fresh with great flavor profiles. I will definitely be returning to try more of their selections!
The food is wonderful! Large portions that will fill you up and satisfy your appetite. The Roast Duck Delight is amazing, and all the dishes are flavorful and perfectly seasoned! I highly recommend Thai Kitchen, a hidden treasure!
Great food! My family and I come here regularly for hot and sour soup, pad Thai, pad see ew, all of the curries (which are all great, love the pumpkin curry) and the sticky rice with mango is awesome! Never had a poor meal here! Always 100%
I've eaten at dozens of Thai restaurants in LA and this one is the best I've had. The service is wonderful too, I come in maybe once per month and the waiter knows what I like and remembered that I don't like carrots on my salad. This restaurant is worth the visit.
Thai Kitchen is a family owned restaurant that serves a wide variety of Thai dishes, from appetizers like egg rolls and spring rolls, to noodles, curries, salads, and stir fries. They also serve bottled beer, like Singha. We're vegetarian, and they offer many options to suit our tastes. I had the jungle curry bowl, which had mixed vegetables in a red curry sauce, and my wife had the yellow curry bowl, which contained potatoes, carrots and onions. Each came with a side of rice. The curries we're very flavorful, and the spice level was just right. Dinner prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend you try Thai Kitchen.
Our go-to thai place that we drive all the way from OC for. Portions are extremely generous, prices (for 2026) are super affordable ($15 for pad thai or pad see-ew, $5 for a huge thai tea) If you come more than once the owner will remember you and your favorites. The chef lady in the back always wears gloves, an apron and a hair net. I really recommend their fried rice, garlic meat, and plum wine. The place is seldom busy or loud, so if you want a slow and relaxing dinner with hot hearty food - this is the place.
Delicious food and great atmosphere. A little cold in the restraunt, so maybe bring a sweatshirt.
Delicious, fresh authentic Thai cuisine with outstanding service. One of my favorite Thai food restaurants ever!
What a surprise! This place is located in a small mall just to the side of Harbor Freight. I didn't expect much but was I surprised. Food was great and the server was great also. The owner/chef even came out to make sure everything was good. I will be back soon. Pad Thai noodles with chicken and veggies, coconut soup.
Hands down the best Thai restaurant in Simi Valley! Exceptional service when dining in, and consistently delicious food when ordering through DoorDash. Must-try dishes: - Pad Thai - Pad See Eew - Tom Ka Soup - Massaman or Pineapple Curry - Mango Sticky Rice - Thai Iced Tea And, bonus! They offer gift cards! If you're craving Thai food in the area, do yourself a favor and dine here! Highly recommended! :p
The staff was very good. The restaurant catered to dietary requirements of no onion no garlic food. The quantity of the food was also good.
So great! I come here with my family all the time for either dinner or lunch and we always leave full and satisfied. The food is so good and healthy. I recommend the kaikaow noodles; we always order those. Great service, the workers are always nice and you never have to wait too long for your food. Wait time is around 10 minutes

Pleasant place tucked into a strip mall behind the Harbor Freight store. Clean place with pleasant service. Outstanding menu selection especially the seafood options. Also lots of veggy options for vegans. Descent portions reasonably priced in line with other local Thai places. Open daily. We will go back to try some of the many other seafood dishes, but the mixed seafood soup and main dish were both excellent. Had enough to take home to another meal.
I love this place! I have been coming here for ten years! The staff is very friendly and kind. The food always comes timely and hot. The pad Thai is wonderful, the egg rolls are great! The curries are amazing, my favorite being the jungle curry. The food is flavorful and cooked well! I’m telling you, if your looking great Thai food, this is the place for you.
Always a good experience. From my first time ordering take out to now eating dine-in, every time they serve great food and have friendly service. We ordered the jungle curry (a red curry), yellow curry, and a large bowl of white rice to share. Between two of us, we easily had leftovers except that we were hungry and it was so tasty, so we finished it all! We were seated promptly and our food came out hot and fresh within minutes of ordering. Great restaurant and great customer service - they remember my husband from when he came years ago! Always a great go-to restaurant for us!
THE best Thai food restaurant I have ever found. The food is AMAZING!!! Perfectly spiced, flavorful, and FRESH! You can really tell the red curry is made fresh, not canned. On top of that the service was outstanding. My wife can't handle spice as well as I can. Her food was a little too spicy for her. Without hesitation the prepared a fresh plate for her and stayed by the table until my wife tried the dish and said it was much better to her liking. We live in Northridge....but we have no problem driving 20 minutes for the best Thai food we've ever found. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Thai Kitchen is the best if not, one of the best authentic Thai restaurants in Simi Valley! So many delicious dishes made with the exact same flavors as found in Thailand, with real Thai taste in mind. Love this restaurant so much (and their papaya salad [Som Tum])! **Must try location!
Very quiet and enjoyable experience. Easy to have a conversation with no music blasting in the background. Food was delicious, meat tasted fresh, server was attentive and polite. We'll be back.
Excellent food—flavorful, rich, at an extremely reasonable price point. Will probably come again.

Food I try there soups and there good orange chicken over cooked and is no flavor Fried rice great ,I haven’t dining it Looks like is better then take out, Take out they don’t offer you anything You walk out and no soy sauce ,that’s the down side of take out remembering to ask for the soy sauce or anything else you need otherwise you get nothing 😬
Had a pleasure of having lunch at Thai Kitchen in Simi with my wife on 2/19. The place is quite spacious and clean. The food is very good and the price is very affordable. Will be visiting this place more often.
As a vegitarian family, we had a pleasant experience. Our host was knowledgeable of what we should and shouldn't order. We eneded up with egg rolls, Green bean Tofu, drunken noodles, and panag curry. The food came out nice and warm. Enjoyed the meal.
The people who work here are always really nice. They have funky hours so make sure you check before you go in. I love their Thai tea with boba. So yummy. I've eaten their Imperial Glass noodles and enjoyed them.
Tried them for the first time today. We were disappointed with how overcooked the chicken was in our Soup and Fried Rice. The service was good, although they gave my food to someone else. Still in search for good authentic Thai food in Simi Valley.
This is my favorite Thai food place in Simi. The people there are so friendly and helpful...and the fact that they deliver is another bonus! I highly recommend their Garlic Beef...Yellow Curry Chicken...and Chicken Satay...and of course the Thai Tea and Sweet Sticky Rice is something I can never forget to include. I can say that I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered and they will even make your food as MILD or SPICY as you'd like.
We visited this restaurant based on the Google reviews. The place was very busy with carryout orders, we were the only dine in patrons. We waited longer than necessary for the only dine in customers. The waitress was extremely overwhelmed but was trying to be accommodating. She took our drink order but forgot to bring them when she returned to take our order after addressing carryout and phone orders There was an older gentleman assisting, maybe the owner. He brought my daughters orange chicken out along with my white rice, but nothing else. After 5 minutes I inquired with our waitress where our other plates were and she explained they were very busy but they would be out shortly. In the meantime a family of four (4) sat down to dine in. The waitress proceeded to take their order and bring their drinks. I again asked about our other dishes, my daughter only had chicken at the table and I only had white rice so we couldn't exactly eat. Then we see the waitress bring out to the other family two (2) dishes. While she was tending to them the older male brought out my appetizer and then proceeded to also deliver the other family the same appetizer. I stopped him before returning to the kitchen to inquire about the other half of our meal. He simply stated we are busy, but did not provide rationale as to why he brought her chicken and my rice without the corresponding dishes. Mind you it had been almost 10 minutes at this point. It was as if my concern was not understood or not a legitimate concern. When I asked our waitress about taking the chicken back for fresh / warm chicken she did not know what to do, I saw her brain overload as she paced back and forth twice before she grabbed place settings for a new family of four that sat down to dine in. She never responded to my question/concern. Needles to say after 15 or more minutes of our initial dishes sitting at the table they were cold when the remainder of our dishes arrived at the table. Ruined our experience all because they were under staffed on the night we decide to visit. Sigh. The food was good, but our attitudes were salty. In addition, they didn't even offer to discount our cold chicken and rice. BTW the rice was a la carte so I paid for cold white rice and the also over charged for one of my daughters dishes. This is the first time ever in our dinning experience that we left a mediocre time, I tip 20% or more and taught my children the same.
Very nice lunch special of Yellow Beef Curry/white rice/egg roll/vegetable soup and Thai Barbecue Chicken/Brown Rice/Egg Roll/Salad. Yellow Curry was not super spicy but very flavorful. Loved the tender beef slices. Barbecue chicken was dry with little flavor. Would not order it again. Mee Grob appetizer was very unusual, not like most Thai restaurants. Really missed the fried egg. The noodle disks were crispy but very compact. Make sure you pour lots of sauce on them to soften them up. Enjoyed the flavor and would order it again. Friendly service.
Sorry but..Parang dish was like a soup. Soup was just ok. Drunken noodles ok. Won’t go back.

I think I maybe ordered the wrong dishes. Saw the great reviews, but all my appetizers (dumplings) were served with a thick teriyaki sauce, while the egg rolls had no sauce at all. Very strange choice of sauces and a tiny order of rice on the side to go with the mains. Again, maybe it was an off night?
Trying to find a good Thai food restaurant in Simi Valley and this was not it. Went in for take out and felt like we got burned. Only a couple of customers inside so cant claim it was because they were so busy. Beef Panang was watery and flavorless, wontons were empty. Noodles we ordered didn't even fill a third of the container. Took forever to get what little we got. Staff was friendly but I came for good food not to make friends. Bummer.
Slow service, food came out at different times. Dessert came out after the second entree, with two more entrees to go. Flavors are different (not great) than any Thai place I have been to before.
It was a cold and rainy day, so I decided to order takeout from Thai Kitchen, hoping for a warm and comforting meal. Unfortunately, the experience was very underwhelming. I ordered the seafood hot and sour soup, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. 1. Portion Size For nearly $20, the portion was surprisingly small. I expected a hearty serving, especially given the price point. 2. Lack of Seafood There was barely any seafood in the container. For a dish marketed as a seafood soup, it felt more like flavored broth with minimal additions. 3. Overcooked Ingredients The few pieces of seafood that were included were noticeably overcooked, which affected both the texture and overall enjoyment. 4. Unbalanced Flavor The broth leaned heavily sweet, with almost no sour element at all. For a “hot and sour” soup, the flavor profile missed the mark completely. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with this order. It honestly felt like the to-go dishes aren’t prepared with the same care or attention as dine-in meals. The soup was plain, lacked depth, and was certainly not worth the $20 price tag. I will not be returning for future takeout

Ordered the golden wings the chix skin was left on and was rubbery . The meat in PadThai overcooked noodles a bit under . The veges were close to raw too much crunch for a dish that's cooked. Went due to top rated Thai in Simi ,wont be returning.
I got extremely sick after eating here. I also ordered their coconut soup, paid extra for chicken and when I got home my soup was full of mushrooms and nothing else...?? You should tell your customers when you don't have or are out of imgridients in the meal they pay for. The food tasted old, best way I can explain it is, eating leftovers! Food went in the 🗑.
If I could give it a lower score I would. We ordered sweat and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice and wor won ton soup. For Pick up . It came to $75.00 .For 2 people. Not 4. 2 forks and 2 packs of soy sauce. That's bad enough but it gets worse. This is without a doubt the absolute worst Thai food I have ever had. I tried to eat it and couldnt. I threw it awayThe sweat and sour chicken tasted, nothing like it is suppose to the soup had a burnt odd flavor which was uneatable and the rice was mush! Absolutely horible and I don't believe they could mess up this bad. This food is horrible.
I ordered via Uber eat. Not only they sent the wrong order, the food they sent was the most disgusting Thai food.
