10 Prime Steakhouse and Bar

Great service from Sean and one of the best filets I have had. My only complaint would be the prices. Drop the prices 30% and I would make weekly reservations. As it is we will be a once a season guest.

Had a great time at this spot last week! The food was great, the service was even better. Shout out to Mark, the manager on duty for helping us secure a ride back down the mountain after dinner. Highly recommend you check this place out next time you're at Snowshoe!

Excellent service, great food. Yes it is pricey, but in the 20 years I have been coming to Snowshoe it was the best meal I have ever had on the mountain. Brandon also provided excellent service.

The fact that this restaurant has the same rating as most McDonald's in America is mind-blowing to me. I'm not joking when I say this was the best tomahawk steak I've ever had. I went with my family, and we shared multiple entrees and sides, all of which were delicious. I would totally recommend any steak and the lobster mac. The service was great, other than a couple of items they ran out of (but I would expect this for 9 pm on Friday night). Everyone hesitant about making a reservation at 10 Prime because of the low reviews should book a reservation either way. It was an amazing experience, and I would 100% recommend!

Food was DELICIOUS. Don't skip the lobster mac and cheese. Pro tip: the side dishes are large enough to share lol. My husband and I got way too much food. Wasn't mad about it later when we had tons of tasty left overs, but its a pricey restaurant so its good to know you can get a side and share it with 2-3 people. You can request a free shuttle at your resort anywhere on the snowshoe mountain to pick you up and drop you off, which is convenient if youre not trying to move your car when there's tons of snow. We've been to 10 Prime both times We've been to Snowshoe. Haven't been disappointed yet!

We had a great time. The bread supplied was warm and delicious. I got the 16 oz steak and lobster tail add on and both were great. I would definitely recommend going.

My friends and I enjoyed a nice dinner here on the last day of our trip. We tried the NY strip, Filet, tomahawk, and the scallops. Everything was great. Not the best steak we have ever had, but still very good! We decided we would pass on the tomahawk next time for one of the other cuts. All of the sides were amazing. The desserts were fantastic and made in house fresh every day. Our sever, Julie, was the highlight of the evening. She was very attentive, super friendly, and just provided a great experience overall.

I took my wife here for our Anniversary in September 2023. It only seemed fair since she spent the weekend wandering aimlessly while my buddies and I were throwing ourselves down the mountain on bikes. Okay she made friends with the other wives and spent my money but still, she deserved a nice meal. This place was awesome. It was the last weekend open for summer with minimal menu but that was the best filet I've ever eaten. My wife ate light but the mushroom risotto was amazing. Service was excellent. Sure, it was expensive but it's an upscale menu at a mountain resort, it's to be expected. Looking forward to going back next year!

My friends and I enjoyed an amazing dinner here together. The fresh bread was so perfect, and all of our entrées were delicious and more than enough to eat! The service was fantastic. We will definitely be back next time we come to ski. :)

Snowshoe is the highlight of my ski season every year. The adventure is never complete without at least one dinner at 10 Prime. Mark is a really great host and his staff are all professionals. The food is so good its easy to remember it as the best part of the trip. Although I did not make it back Sunday night because of the wind, snow, temp (there was not way I going out again) I had a wonderful dinner with you Saturday night. Our experience dining at 10 Prime was amazing!! Our server, Erica, was wonderful; friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about menu items. Every recommendation she gave us was delicious. I had the Chilean Seabass with asparagus. It was a very good choice. My husband had the pork chop. We both agreed that the porkchop was out of this world. For dessert, we shared the Triple berry Zabaglione (and now I'm going to have to learn how to make that...). The manager, Mark, was also friendly and attentive to the needs of his guests. If you're heading to Snowshoe and looking for a special dining experience, make a reservation at 10 Prime well in advance before you leave home! I'm pretty sure they're booked full every weekend.

Good steaks, good sides. Not cheap but tasty and on the mountain you really won’t get better. Loved the tomahawk steak and sides were delicious. Expect to pay, it’s not cheap - but very enjoyable and great with company. Best premium food in Snowshoe so far.

(Really a 4.5 star rating) Excellent food and cocktails. We had phenomenal service from Chloë and the bartender Lauren. The host staff could use some training. After arriving with my party of 3 for our reservation, we were offered a two top table with an added chair. After our objections,, the hostess responded with something to the effect of, that's where the system put you. After some back and forth, she seemed genuinely overwhelmed by our request for a proper table. It never seemed to dawn on her that our comfort was just as important as the food in our overall dining experience. Fortunately, a more senior staff member overhead the discussion, saw a recently vacated table and offered it to us after it was cleaned. Before the night was out, we discussed our experience with Mark and complemented those who made our experience, ultimately, wonderful.

Was expecting a little more from a $500 meal. They sat us right next to the front door in a blizzard when half the restaurant was empty. The food was good but not great. The service was wonderful. Our server was very nice and attentive to our needs.

Ordered carryout for my wife because of our newborn. Picked up my order and parking coupon didn't work so I sat there for 15minutes while my food got cold as they figured it out. They also didn't have table ware for our to go order. So I ate my $60 cold steak with a pocket knife from my truck. Sauces were labeled but not legible so we played guessing game to figure out which sauce went with what. The food was not exceptional but steak with pretty good. Not really a two person $150 experience but everything else here is overpriced too so that puts things in perspective.

I will agree with most other reviews about the food. It was just OK. Prices here are comparable to a really nice steakhouse like Ruth's Chris but is severely lacking the same quality and service. I had a reservation and was sat on time. Front of the house was friendly and our waitress was great to talk to, she was from South America. I give 3 stars because of the food. For the price I was left severely wanting better.

Server said they make everything from scratch. Rolls dry crumbly hard, and not the rustic bread kinda hard. They dump sugar in the butter, unsalted butter. I ordered lobster bisque. So thin the server almost spilled it when she sat it down. It was soup not bisque. But I thought hey I’ll try it. Sucked. No flavor. Later she said they make their bisque thin on purpose because it has big chunks of lobster. Total lie. Bisque by definition is not thin. $14 greens bitter, little dressing. Crab cakes not crusty, plus only barely warm, and remoulade sucked. Everything but bread came out very close together. Service spotty, food not good. Go to Appalachia kitchen. There’s a reason the most expensive restaurant on the mountain is the lowest rated. My third time there; each visit worse. I will never go back.

The service was excellent. Laura was our server. The food wasn't worth the cost. My wife and I both ate the 14oz usda prime my strip. The sides were good, however I personally have grilled better steaks. They were $48 a piece.

DO NOT GO. One of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had in awhile. We were one of two tables and the server acted as if things were chaotic at all times and we needed to bare with her. As a guest, it was a miserable experience. Everyone got their food and they forgot a steak that we had to wait another 20 min on. Drinks took forever and there was nothing done as far as compensation for the steak tha was served once everyone was finished. They were out of rolls, bread pudding, chicken, and other things too. Place is ran by amateurs.

Nice restaurant setting and very good table service. However, my steak was over salty and much over cooked. Due to the long kitchen wait, I didn’t send it back. Our scallops were gritty. Our server was wonderful. Overall Our table felt the kitchen crew didn’t have their mind or heart into meal performance. At over $275 we expected better. May have caught the restaurant on an off night. Our ski host was much too nice for me to make a big deal. T

I wish I read the reviews first…After dining here I was shocked to find that several reviewers had a nearly identical experience. We waited 45 minutes to receive our appetizer of scallops. Which were delicious and the reason why I give a second star. Our entree came out over an hour after we ordered it and it was obvious it had been cooked at least 45 minutes ago as it was cold around the edges and the Hollandaise sauce had set and looked like gel. We quietly told the server that our meals were cold and she was most apologetic and took them back. She returned less than 5 minutes later with our same food simply heated up. We had the 8oz steak and the sea bass btw the way. Not something you throw in the microwave, especially when they’re priced at $70 and $50 respectively. When our food was brought back, it was simply inedible. The manager came out with absolutely no apology and had a very confrontational attitude first thing he said was “so what do you think is fair here?” I was shocked. We simply wanted warm edible food. He lied to us saying that our food came out quite quickly. Which I corrected him that it actually had taken nearly an hour for each dish. He came back with our check and gave us a 25% discount. By the way, we had never demanded free meals or any type of discount. At that point we just wanted to leave. We did not eat the food beyond trying one bite earlier, and we did not take it home. Still no apology or thank you for understanding from the manager. Overall, the price does not remotely reflect the quality of food or service at this restaurant. We got pizza.

As other reviewers have noted, the experience at this location does not remotely match the price. When paying $60 for a steak, you expect a fine dining experience. That is not what you will recieve here. We had reservations and upon arriving we were told that the only table available was a high top in the lobby area by the host and bathrooms. When my wife asked for a low top she was asked if she requested a low top when reserving. Aside from bar seating, I don't remember seeing high tops at a decent steakhouse. I should also mention that it was just me, my wife and our 5 yr old, so a high top wouldn't have worked. We had to ask the server for bread. The server was unfamiliar with the beer options. She did not explain the menu as I heard other servers doing with their tables. It took an hour for our salads to eventually arrive and the Caesar salad was very bland. While waiting for that salad we were offered additional bread at least 3 times. Oh, and by the way bread dishes were never brought out, so we felt lime slobs eating the bread and spreading crumbs all over the black tablecloth. Finally, the steaks arrived. The pan seared Filet had zero sear. It looked like it was merely baked. We paid $60 for grey steaks. I am giving a 2nd star because the risotto was very good and the steaks were at least cooked to the requested temperatures properly and, despite the unappetizing look of the meat, it still tasted good. I hope this doesn't come off as pretentious, it is just an expectation when paying these prices. Same experience at outback? Fine. I literally said to my wife, cut the price in half and my expectations would have been in a better place. I would have rather had pizza a second time at cheat mountain.

I made a reservation to celebrate my engagement. Me and my fiancée were at the village hanging out a couple hours early and received a text informing us that our reservation was canceled, an hour and a half before seating with no explanation. I tried to call them a couple times and no one picked up. Sounds on par with the rest of the reviews.

The manger judged my family due to our appearance. He put us in the back of the empty restaurant because of the clothes we were wearing, also was extremely unprofessional in the process. Couldn’t cook the $100+ steak the right way after 4 tries. The manger does not belong in the food and beverage industry due to his unpleasant behavior. Don’t recommend.

70$ ribeye was overcooked,dry, and 90% chewy Gristle. I would be embarrassed to serve this to my own house guest. No way it was a prime cut, or even choice. Ive honestly had a way better steak at ihop or from the microwavable frozen section at the grocery store. They need to change the name of the place. Its definitly NOT a steakhouse.

Refused service to a veteran with service dog. When we arrived we waited for the host for 10 minutes to acknowledge that we are waiting. After he came he told us give me a minute to finish setting up the table. He came back and told us no available tables even after he said he is setting up a table and the restaurant was more than half empty with many people finishing and leaving while we were waiting. I would never even try to go to this place again.

Worst experience ever. Extremely long wait time for the food. And the food was cold, tasteless, and overall horrible. It is completely over priced but even if it was cheaper I would never come here again. There are many more places in snowshoe that are a lot better. One would think because this gives the sense that it is a fancy restaurant that it is so but it is not and the food definitely doesn't meet that criteria either. The only thing that does is the cost which again is completely not worth anything..

We called for reservations for 6 the hosts answer told us we didn't need a reservation if we came now we were there within 5 mins. Walked in hosts then told us there was nothing available then manager walked up asked what was wrong we explained what happend he didn't seen to care! We can not rate the food we never had the chance. I would not recommend this restaurant!

Don’t eat here we made a reservation for 7pm months in advance they changed us to 8pm just 3 hours beforehand no explanation and the manager had to hide behind the host wouldn’t take calls or explain themselves. It’s a shame this place continues to get worse and worse reviews, hopefully the Owners read these stories and get new management, we will take our business elsewhere and so should you. Their incompetence knows no bounds.

This place was very disappointing. Overpriced, average food with consistently bad service. They claimed to run out of bread and chicken before 7 o’clock on a Thursday? Doesn’t seem to be much management going on. Would not go back, unfortunately.

Absolutely not worth the money or the time. Each course took a ridiculously long time to arrive. We were long since finished with the appetizer and the soup before we got our steaks. Each of our 4 steaks was overcooked, ordered medium rare and received medium at best, if not medium well. Yes, I know you can send it back, but one overcooked steak is a mistake, 4 overcooked steaks means one of two things - either the kitchen doesn't know how to cook the steak, or they let it sit under a heat lamp for way too long. Neither of these is acceptable given the overpriced steak cuts. No the place was not busy, we were one of two groups at the bar and there were two other tables. The bartender nearly surgically measured the pours for the mixed drink, very off putting. A double drink order was charged as two single pours. I suggest you believe the low rating, clearly other people are just as dissatisfied as our party was. I wish I had seen the ratings before going in, a high priced resort steakhouse should be better, and at least know how to handle the expensive cuts of meat

Staff was not attentive. We had a reservation and still waited 20 minutes for our table. Waiter barely checked on us. They gave my pregnant wife a rare steak when we asked for medium. The waiter came back an hour later to check on us and did little to help. When we brought it to their attention he commented about how he would have brought it back to cook more, yet he never came by to check on us after dropping off the food in the first place. It was just very disappointing all together. Especially being there for 2 hours, and being the last table to leave.

Men's restroom smelled like a urinal! Sat at bar for 15 minutes and never saw a bartender. I asked the manager if there was a bartender on staff, it was told to chill out, but she was extremely busy and would be with me at some point. Or a restaurant is only going to be ran, as well as the general manager manages his staff! Apparently telling a customer to chill out it's OK! Waiting for a drink for 15 minutes is not OK! This restaurant is poorly ran! I received better service from a dive bar next door! I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We had an 8:30 reservation, we were a bit early and were sat at 8pm, in the bar area. This was fine until a group moved from a table to the bar next to us and were clearly over intoxicated. Our ambiance was ruined by the guests at the bar and the staff who continued to serve them, until they broke an entire bottle of red wine on the bar. These guests asked the manager if snowshoe had police or public safety patrols - assuming they were driving home which is quite scary. The manager did discuss getting them a ride home, as they were still being served by the bartender. This was our third shot at a great meal at 10 prime over 3 years, the service was terrible and our food waited under the heat lamp (we watched it) while the bartender flirted with the drunk guys. Do yourself a favor and reserve at Appalachian Kitchen or Foxifire, this restaurant is terrible and is in need of new management/attention from Alterra leadership.

We were told they had a children’s menu, but that was a joke. A $250.00 bill for 2 adults and 2 tween boys with NO ALCOHOL AND NO DESSERT. The boys ate when we got home as their meal was so small. Nothing really good for kids so do NOT take children with you. Manager was rude and we were sat by the door. I guess the better tables are reserved for adults with NO kids. Waitress was a delight, but food was less than desirable and way overpriced.

This was hands down the worse steakhouse I have ever been to. Our party had made a reservation 3 weeks prior and we still had to wait 20-30 minutes to be seated. It took over an hour to receive a steak that looked like hamburger when I ordered medium rare. I had my steak replaced which took another hour to receive. The second steak was mediocre at best. They had no glasses for our drinks so we were drinking beer from a can at what is an attempt to create an “upscale” dining experience. I wasn’t given a discount on my meal, just the replacement.
