Modì is always a guarantee. One of the best restaurants I've tried in Sicily. The menu is unique and refined. From start to finish, you're immersed in a true experience, pampered by the staff. The place is beautiful, with soft lighting, light music, and a stunning view. The price is absolutely right for the quality. What more can I say? I'll be back every year. Excellent!

Beautiful atmosphere: a panoramic terrace with a breathtaking view, pleasant and relaxing background music, and an elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere. The staff is friendly, extremely polite, and attentive. Every detail is carefully considered, from the table settings to the presentation of the dishes, creating an experience you appreciate from the first moment. From a culinary perspective, the traditional tasting menus are well-crafted, aesthetically pleasing, and show a clear focus on flavors. Of course, we're talking about a mid- to high-end restaurant, not a Michelin-starred one, so expectations must be adjusted, but overall the dining experience was very satisfying. Regarding the all-vegetarian menu (proposed by the restaurant itself, not as a custom-made option), I would recommend further exploring the flavors to bring it to the same level of sophistication and complexity as the other menus. Currently, it's slightly less convincing than the rest of the offerings. The wine list is excellent and highly refined, certainly one of the restaurant's strengths. The only thing that could be improved, and I'm writing this as a constructive criticism, is the service was rather slow. For a five-course tasting menu, we sat at the table for over three hours. I don't consider this a negative, but rather an aspect that could be improved to make the experience more seamless. In conclusion, Modì is a restaurant that fully deserves to be recognized: a restaurant that elevates the Messina dining scene. I would gladly return.

A pleasant discovery! The location offers an incredible view (arrive at sunset to make sure you don't miss it; it's truly worth it). The service is attentive, courteous, and not intrusive, yet not cold. I'd say perfect. But it's the food that deserves a Michelin star. From the delicious welcome aperitif to the excellent coffee (served with a small pastry), through a series of dishes, each one better than the last. I discovered Sicilian flavors that were not predictable, with that extra something, with that unexpected balance that comes from those who strive to surpass the perfection of the island's recipes. Perhaps (and I must say perhaps because we only tried one), the dessert wasn't up to par with the rest, and the rice could have been cooked two minutes less, but, I repeat, it's really necessary to find a small flaw in a perfect dinner that deserves a star. Bread: one of the best I've tasted in restaurants, even Michelin-starred ones, I've frequented (wheat with an extra something), accompanied by excellent olive oil (also a mention for the serving dishes, always adequate and very refined). Kudos also to the quality/price ratio and the unexpected variety, which also includes a 100% plant-based tasting menu! Hats off!

Incredible meal. See other reviews and photos. We booked online and had no issues. The staff were attentive and very welcoming. They explained all the dishes in English and each course was very good. We had Antipasto, Secondi and Dessert. They even let me take the bread. Definitely go if you staying close or passing through on the autostrade.

Located on a hill, in a simple yet welcoming and intimate setting, this place made me feel pampered and at ease. Excellent food, and a tartare that I still remember among the other dishes for its triumph of flavor. Excellent bread, breadsticks, and crackers prepared by the chef with ancient Sicilian grains. Some dishes were a little saltier for my palate, but absolutely remarkable. There were three of us; I let the chef guide me through his "do it yourself" menu (€75), while the others opted for the "à la carte" menu, choosing an appetizer, two first courses, and two second courses (in total). Two glasses of wine, recommended by an expert Mêtre, accompanied my meal. The bill was absolutely average for this type of place (€218). The wait staff was very attentive, polite, and kind. I'll definitely be back! The place has no parking, so you have to park along the street, which isn't very busy. Wheelchair access is possible.

E' sempre un gran bel piacere passare una serata a cena in questo ristorante molto ben gestito dai proprietari, ma ad essere sincero, questa volta rispetto alle altre, alcune portate non hanno incontrato il mio gusto ( il cibo è sempre molto soggettivo ) vedi la zuppa di ceci e le mezze maniche con i tenerumi, per il resto tutto bene ed il mio palato ha gioito. You always expect the best from a Michelin-starred restaurant. In fact, this review, and therefore the ratings, are based on the level expected of a restaurant of this caliber. Excellent service and a very elegant atmosphere. I appreciated the details of the service, the table setting, and the super kind and professional staff. The menu is also very interesting and, above all, honest. Seven courses, which are actually eight at €90 per person, aren't bad. The only flaw? The dessert. Bad, bad. I didn't like almost anything about the menu. I expected much more, given the high quality of the previous courses. The ice cream was way too alcoholic and the cheesecake was barely decent. A total disappointment in this regard. As for the other courses, the quality of the products was high and the raw materials top-notch. My only thought, but it's subjective, is that the chef really focuses on the tartness of the citrus fruits in his dishes, and it really works. However, it wasn't always appreciated. Sometimes, even too much so that the dish wasn't enjoyed.
