I had the pleasure of dining at Spizzico in Sondrio during my 2023 holiday, and it quickly became our favorite spot! Conveniently located just below our rented apartment, it was the perfect choice after long days of hiking when all we wanted was delicious food close by. Spizzico delivered exactly that—great prices and even better food. The pizza was just right, and the pasta was fantastic. I learned on this trip that not all Italian spots get it right, but Spizzico definitely does! Out of all the places we tried over two weeks, Spizzico was the clear winner. The service was exceptional—the waiter, who I believe was also the owner, was incredibly kind and patient, helping us navigate the menu in English with a welcoming smile. The warmth and effort made each visit memorable. I’d recommend this place a million times over for anyone visiting Sondrio.

We went for pizza. The entrance looks like a gas station entrance, as there's actually a gas station out front. The pizza is exceptional, crispy, and flavorful, and the prices are more than reasonable; the most expensive pizza on the menu costs 8 euros. These days, there are pizzerias with pizzas for over 12 euros. They also serve spaghetti. We didn't try them, but the dishes that came out of the kitchen were inviting and plentiful, and the prices were also very reasonable. So, thanks for the delicious pizza, and see you next time for the spaghetti!

Il locale è piccolo (non molti coperti quindi attese minime) e accogliente. La qualità del cibo è buona e i prezzi adeguati. Il personale è cortese e mostra disponibilità. Mi pare ottimo!

We ordered a pizza, two first courses, two desserts, and a fourth of a white wine; everyone was very satisfied. The pizza was thin and had a soft crust, well-filled. Judging by the dishes they were bringing to the other tables, the fish must have been good too.

I was waiting a little longer; the carbonara is annoying. I also had the penne pasta with cream, walnuts, and speck; it was good, but I'd prefer whole walnuts, not grated ones. The ice cream was good. The entrecote was also good, but nothing special.

The staff were friendly and attentive. The calzone was better than the pizza. The spaghetti was cooked well, but the sauce I chose was overly spicy, overpowering the other ingredients.

Non è la prima volta che vengo a mangiare a cena in questo locale. Devo dire che l'ambiente di per sé è molto accogliente, la pizza è molto buona e si può dire altrettanto della cucina. Peccato per il servizio. Soprattutto da parte di quella che mi han detto essere la moglie del proprietario. Domenica sono stata a cena in compagnia di altre 9 persone a mangiare una pizza in occasione di un compleanno. Sono la prima ad ordinare, chiedo una bufala cortesemente (preciso cortesemente perché lavoro da 10 anni in bar e ristoranti,quindi so cosa vuol dire avere a che fare con clienti maleducati) con la mozzarella in uscita..la cameriera alza gli occhi al cielo sbuffando e mi dice maleducatamente di prendere le pizze come sono scritte sul menù. C'era solo il nostro tavolo più uno da 2 e uno da 3 che avevano già finito di mangiare e il pizzaiolo era appoggiato al pilastro ad attendere la nostra comanda, quindi non sono proprio riuscita a trovare una giustificazione a questo comportamento così fuori luogo,soprattutto da parte della moglie del proprietario. Rimango senza parole,guardando tutti gli altri che avevano assistito alla scena. Come se non bastasse,viene il turno della persona vicino a me,che ordina una pizza con mille modifiche. Non le dice niente perché la conosce. Complimenti alla moglie del proprietario che scattiva una cliente per aver chiesto la mozzarella in uscita.

Siamo stati a Sondrio in occasione della splendida gara Valtellina Wine Trail, dove tutti si sono adoperati per renderla memorabile. Poi la pessima idea di scendere per una pizza in questo locale. …

We were in Sondrio for the wonderful Valtellina Wine Trail race, where everyone worked hard to make it memorable. Then we had the terrible idea of going down for pizza at this place. At 8 pm, the owner tells us they're packed until 9 pm (and that's understandable, it's Saturday night). There's a table for two, but maybe, I think, it's reserved. I opt for takeout: "Oh no... we're so full, there's too much of a wait." I insist on waiting. In total, only seven pizzas came out before ours. While we're waiting, a local girl comes in and asks the owner for a table to eat alone, but she hasn't booked. And he, trying not to be understood by me, seats her at a table!!!!!! Meanwhile, I've already paid for the takeout pizzas and a couple of beers. I ask to also get a small bottle of water, which I pay TWO EUROS.50!!!!!! Meanwhile, a tourist with two children who asked for three takeout pizzas also bounced around... The pizzas were nothing special. Absolutely basic ingredients, the bare minimum of toppings. Absolutely unpleasant. The owner had his wife, who was at the cash register, deliver the pizzas to me, evidently to avoid having to explain herself. So... a place for locals only! The same people who review it as "beautiful, with tables outside too" (it's on the main road, in the gas station forecourt... imagine the surprise).
