Customer service is fantastic. The staff is very friendly, very polite. The diner itself is always clean. The inside is very well kept. There is plenty of seating. It's always warm and dry. Very comfortable atmosphere. The food is great. Burger's are awesome and chicken strips are very tasty, but the fries are amazing. I however, recommend the breakfast. Waffle, pancakes and french toast are the best around. My choice: Breakfast special #3, 2 french toast 3 scrambled eggs 3 strips of bacon (Delicious) Awesome food, friendly staff and just a comfortable environment, I highly recommend Tom's, stop by and try them out.

I really enjoyed my breakfast with my family hear it’s so nice and quiet area..the staff are nice and attentive the food good presentation portions ..everything was good. I live in LA and will come down and drive hear for a good experience again

A family member recommend me to this place... I had mention i wanted breakfast but not the typical Denny's or ihop.. it was one like 5 minutes from her place... I decided i wanted to try the steak and funny side up eggs... Got my food really fast.. no longer than 10 minutes and i already had my food in the table ready to eat.... Everything was really good... See you guys soon....

8/23/2025 4:30 pm more less Drive thru: Can not hear anything Lady at the window was rude. I ordered the family pack and she only handed me the bag and said bye. I asked doesn't it come with drinks and she said oh and then asked what kind I asked for so I told her then I told her I also requested 4 ranches and she rolled her eyes and said OH and she handed them to me and dogged me. This person should not be working there if she hates it so much. I've been going there for years and never had any issues and love the food

Feb 14 this is the second time I've came here. The first time was earlier this week I was just passing by and I was starving so I stopped in and ordered a cansrdia asada taco with cheese only. I asked for hard shell. Got my food and it was so delicious! Today Saturday February 14th I took my dad with me, telling him about the tacos and how good it was. The girl that took my order. I'm not sure if she understands English or not , I told her I wanted 4 tacos, two cheese and meat only and 2 with everything for my dad and I said hard shell , she then looked at me and looked at the menu on the wall. Then talked to a coworker and then completed our order. We sat down and waited and waited and waited. I finally got up and asked the cashier what was taking so long. I only ordered for tacos. My plate was sitting by the fire with the tacos, your coworker was getting sour cream and a tube but that took a long time for him to do not understanding why. We finally got our food, at that point I saw it was not hard shell but I was hungry. I wasn't going to complain. Got ready to go and asked for a to-go box and that's when I mentioned that the taco I ordered was not a hard shell, she said we don't make hard shella, we can't. I then told her I was here earlier in the week and I ordered the same tacos hard shell. She said oh they shouldn't have done that... I told her I came back here because of the tacos it was so good.. The tacos I got today we're not very good and then I told her I came all the way from Azusa for the tacos 😊 because of the traffic. It took me 35 minutes to get here 😢 The tacos I got today each of them had two tortillas. The taco I got the other day only had one tortilla and it was hard shell and it was delicious. Very disappointed today.. I haven't yet decided if I'll come back for breakfast or lunch again

They used to be good. Recently, when I order 3 cheeseburger combos, they give me the wrong burgers- it will be a thin patty with no cheese. It's like a discounted item. Anyway, its not what i order and when I try to clarify with the cashier, she gives me attitude and says "you got the family pack " and I say no please just the regular burgers,not the thin family pack ones. I get home, give the food to TEENAGE BOYS and they complain immediately that the pattys are thin again and no cheese inside. So I call to tell the girl she is making a mistake and the attitude she gave...I truly don't think she understands the mistake she is making and to blame it on a PAYING customer.... I will never bring business to this place again. It was very rude and I even tried to clarify and I still got screwed. Not cool

got 2 bacon breakfast burritos this morning for about $9-10 each. make sure you squint to find the bacon. look elsewhere unless you just want potatos egg and cheese

I ordered the chicken fried steak at Tom’s in El Monte, and it was nothing like what I expected—completely lacking in flavor. I specifically asked for sunny side up eggs but was first served scrambled. When I asked the cashier if I had ordered sunny side up, she confirmed that I had, yet it still took almost 30 minutes for the correct eggs to come out, and by then I was already getting ready to leave. The only things I actually enjoyed were the bread and the coffee. Overall, the service was slow and careless, and the food was disappointing. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this place. Been coming here for over 30 years.

I got to the restaurant around 8:30 once I approach the dark skin short lady was having a conversation with another person as we waited there for 10 to 20 minutes she continued to talk then move around within the front counter while we still waiting in line . I verbally said hey can we order next minute someone else comes in the door and she tells us in our face that she's going to take his order while we're waiting there unprofessional she don't tend to customers as she needs to she takes her sweet time like if she hates her job maybe a little bit of customer service skills training would be something that I would apply in this situation at the end of the day you're bringing business to the company if you're not doing your job how is the business going to create their revenue this is something that the owner may need to check on
