Definitely the best hole-in-the-wall bar in the south Tahoe area. Got to get the peanut butter jelly shots. Don't think I ever want to go to another bar again in South lake Tahoe except for this one. Bartender was super cool and came out and turned on the fire pit for me and my wife.

The atmosphere was so fun and welcoming!! The food was delicious and the beer ice cold. They were playing the best mix of music, we stayed playing cards for a couple hours enjoying all the things!

The burger is soooo good..well recommended. Bad thing is live music ends too early like 2pm Sunday..bit is a beautiful place specialy the outdoors tables are the best. And owners, the bartender needs some help, she was exhausted even tho she gave us an excellent service.

This place was absolutely great. It had that "neighborhood bar" feel, where everyone was comfortable and friendly, and the bartender Charles, did a fantastic job of making us feel welcome. The food was good for the price, and the drink prices were awesome. The music was on point, and we just had a great time there.

Great selection of food. Great bar to watch sports. Has pool tables. Fun atmosphere. The French dip is super yummy and you can choose turkey or roast beef. Great bar food, and also great breakfast. It's definitely a little loud but the food is delicious. They also have outside seating.

We stopped by for lunch and so glad we did. We sat outside, but the bar seating inside looked fun too. First, the steak was tender with a delicious sauce, perfect parmesan cheese bread, a salad, and potatoes. It was so tasty and very reasonably priced. Everyone in our party of 5 was happy with their meals and wonderful service.

Loved the outdoor space at this grill spot, and they had horseshoes! The employee was working very hard but it was a little stressful to order and get what we needed to feed our family. Definitely more of a bar hangout than a place you want to sit down and enjoy some yummy pub-grub. No one is going to come out to get your order or check on you to make sure you have what you need. Having said that, the food was good and all we had to do was run into the bar to order and get drink refills. Once you understand the situation you can play accordingly 👍 Love the small Tahoe hangouts!

I pulled into this place after hiking up Tallac for 7 or 8 hours, got seated immediately and ordered a drink. Drink came pretty fast, thankfully. Figured out what I wanted, ordered it, and was pleasantly surprised by how fast it got served up. And the whole time the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Check this place out! This was back in August of '19, been there once since recently and still had a great time.

This is a cute little place. I was very surprised by how good the food was and how reasonably priced it was. And the service was excellent. Our server Tarryn, not only took our order by memory, but it came back correct. Yeah it was only 3 items, but we've had people write our order down (in other places) and get it wrong. So that was amazing. Additionally, she was super informative of the area and gave us suggestions on where to stop and go hiking. Our overall experience here was great! Also wanted to add that their bathrooms are clean!

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, our son was running around with another kid his age having a blast. The waitresses were always checking in even though it was pretty packed and always had a smile on their faces. Support local businesses, go get some food, drinks, and a great ambiance for a reasonable price. You wont be let down

Old school third generation Tahoe local here. This review is for the owner who I have the pleasure of meeting down in the Bay Area at a local Mexican restaurant. He was a very pleasant gentleman and seemed to respect the mountain and to the lake, unlike many people up there now. This place looks amazing. Just like a lot of the local spots I remember growing up there before everything got bought out by corporate America. Just a nice neighborhood spot where locals could go to hang out. Food looks amazing and I can’t wait to stop by next time I’m in the area. Looks like he’s got a damn nice place here that reflects the old-school charm that I remember so much about Lake Tahoe.

Do not go here for the food. The sides, sweet potato tots and onion rings were good. The beer was cold and service with a smile. But the BLT was advertised as a full pound of bacon, and more like half that.

Great little local bar and grill. The staff was friendly the moment I walked in the place and made me feel welcome right away. The food was good, mostly sandwiches and standard bar food but it was done well. They also have outdoor seating along with horseshoe pits. Seems like a great place to hang out.

Decent food, but hit or miss customer enagagement. Main bartender was rude to me for misunderstanding their poorly labeled neon signage that sat 12 feet across the room.

We sat outside and the atmosphere was nice, but it is right on the road, so it was a little noisy. We had the fish and chips, and one of their burgers. Both were good, the fish was freshly breaded and seasoned well. Fries were fantastic. Service was ok. It seemed like they might have been down a person to help. We would come back again to try some additional dishes.

Good place to meet your friends after work. Attentive, friendly service. Great appetizers! Relaxed atmosphere with good music, although it's slightly too loud.

Came here in mid summer. Outside seating is gorgeous this time of year . There is a nice lawn area where you can play horseshoes. The layout was so open and the service was attentive and quick. I got the pulled pork sandwich which turned out great and tasted fresh. Overall great experience.

The food was good, and the staff friendly. I did find it odd that the signs all say to order at the bar. Then when I went in to order at the bar, the waitress told me to go sit down and she'd wait on us. Not sure if that's just for when they are busy.

In town for a kids soccer tournament so we need kid friendly places that won’t have heavy food between games. I chose this place because of location, reviews, menu items and price. Glad I did. We sat outside and enjoyed a nice lunch under an umbrella in June. Service was great but we could tell they were short staffed hence the one star missing. My kids enjoyed it. Inside is small and cramped, mainly a bar. This is a great place in the summer months for an easy lunch.

Food is great but if you get the server with purple hair you’re in for some rude service!! Every time I’ve gone there she has been in a bad mood.

Atmosphere was fine, employees were nice as can be, but two out of the three meals we ordered were overcooked. I was thinking of giving them a second chance until we got our bill they charged us for sauces that were advertised as being with the sandwiches. Their staff and posted support for the troops saved them from a 1* review I won't be going back for food.

Nice setup: indoor/outdoor areas. Good vibes, nice staff. Prices were ok, but the portions were small. I literally got 8 steak fries with my "NY strip steak." We ended up getting food later on in the evening. If you're hungry, eat elsewhere.

Lunch review for family of 3 on the patio. The service is great and attentive. Place had awesome outdoor picnic tables and great drinks. If reviewing just for drinks it would be 5 star. Great place of predominately locals enjoying a cold brew. Problem was the quality of the food. Daughters chicken tenders were obviously previous frozen, dense and lacked any flavor and her side of fruit looked old. For the adults we were there for seafood Friday and had a half dozen oysters which were very fresh but were not served cold. Also had the steamed clams that were over powered with garlic and onion. So going with a 3 star review since the food was barely a 2 and we were there for lunch.

Food was GREAT had there Ribeye with amazing delicious chili as a side also did there fish and chips they have outdoor seating pet friendly however there customer service wasn’t the best don’t blame them since it’s was a busy holiday but female staff would make eye contact and ignore you even though they weren’t busy at the time you had to stop them and get they gave dirty looks very unprofessional we sat outside for 20 minutes until I ordered with a nice gentleman if it wasn’t for him we would of left like another family did but overall we ate and left with a full stomach.

But to wait a long time for cold food and no updates from service was pretty frustrating

I went with 3 other people. They took 20 minutes to just take our order (despite of the place was almost empty). My plate arrived but I ate alone because the other plates arrived much later and were cold!! (they had prepared the plates but forgot to bring them to the table). The waiter was rude, he could have at least said sorry for the delay but didn’t and even tried to prove that we didn’t wait too long. The food wasn’t bad but in my plate was some ingredients missing.

Not a welcoming atmosphere, this was are 2nd time here,, we had to ask where to check in to get seated. The girl at the bar was not helpful or very nice . , told us to just sit anywhere outside. We had to get our own menus. Both times we waited 20 minutes, and had to go back inside to ask for a sever. They didn’t seem very busy. We understand that staffing is an issue in South Lake Tahoe, we felt like they really didn’t want our business. Food was ok, drinks were good. At the end of the meal we had to go find someone to pay. We will think twice before we will come back here. Really a shame, because we like o patronize local businesses.

Second time I’ve ordered food this week. French Dip that I sent back with only two slices of meat. They took of bill but left hungry. Tried again tonight, service and drink was fine. Ordered grilled cheese sandwich to go, got home with two wet pieces of bread from the fruit cup not sealed, cheese not even close to melted. Sad to see the down slide of one of my favorite old hangouts.

The quality of your food has drastically changed, and not for the better. Your hummus platter is just gross! What exactly is it made of because its not chickpeas or creamy. It's chunky, red and sour! The beyond burger wrap is skimpy now and when I asked you for garlic only tots as your menu states, you doused it with parm cheese. I told you NO CHEESE ON ANYTHING UNLESS IT'S VEGAN. Learn to listen. I'll be moving on.

$20 for 9 wings hardly seems worth it, from this place. Food here is typically poorly seasoned. Would not recommend. Not local friendly. Very obviously a plant business for tourist dollars.

Sat down and the waitress said she'd be right back with more menus and never came back. We only got service because we went in and asked if we were supposed to order at the bar. We never got more menus or a drink menu. Finally got a waitress to take our order after getting up and asking. I changed up my sandwich a bit due to food allergies and she informed me that she'd write it down but it's unlikely that the order would be correct because the kitchen does not read it and she doesn't have time to check. Of course, the food came and it was incorrect, but the waitress never came back to check if everything was alright so I wasn't able to get it fixed. Now I just get to be hungry after paying for an overpriced meal. Do not recommend if you have food allergies or intolerances. They dont even try to get it right and just don't care.

After 30 minutes of waiting I tried to check in with the service to order foodand they told me they acted surprised i wad even asking. You would think being one of the few new parties to the establishment we would have been noticed...Waiter finally comes out and takes order from people who showed up after us. A complete joke. Do not come here if you have family.

New to the area, my thought to get out and around and maybe have a little social interaction without eating dinners all alone, was to hit discount drink and appetizer happy hours at venues around SLT. So I googled what was offered close by. Emerald Bay B&G advertises $2 tacos Mondays so I tried them. Oops! $3. They were good enough for $3. Nice enough experience although parking is a pain. Went back Sunday for the $8 Bloody Mary with prawns advertised on their website. Oops! $13. I mentioned the discrepancy to my server who couldn't have cared less. The patio was a pleasant setting but noisy enough from Emerald Bay Road traffic to make hearing on my cellphone difficult. The order came out quick enough considering they had to deep-fry the breaded prawns. The drink and prawns were quite good. Another server checked up on me and, when I mentioned the $8/ $13 discrepancy, he acknowledged my concern, said something more damning than simply saying that the website was way out of date and said he would mention it to the manager. I finished my drink at a leisurely pace, another 10-15 minutes anyway, before getting up to leave. Never heard back from the second server or anyone else. A supermarket is legally obligated to charge an advertised price. Not EBB&G. Sloppy if not predatory disregard/disrespect for potential customers and low professionalism Two strikes and you're out. Not going back except, perhaps, if chosen by a yet-to-be-met, new acquaintance.

Horrible experience today at a great local spot. The bartender must have thought that I wasn’t a regular and so she questioned me with attitude when I asked her about ordering some beers. She then proceeded to cater to every single person at the bar aside from me. I decided to just drink the beer that I had ordered and when I was half way done the rude bartender took my food menu and added it to the stack of menus that was not being used by customers. At this point I felt not only undervalued but unwelcome to a place I have been to before. I do NOT recommend spending your money here when this lady is working. She has brown/blonde hair and would survive if there was a famine. You will know who I am talking about. Sad to see such a great spot be tarnished by people who hate their lives. Maybe they will improve service eventually. For now, I do not recommend visiting Emerald Bay Bar & Grill.

Ordered a Cobb salad...got romaine lettuce red onion and 2 small slices of avocado...didn't receive the fried zucchini I ordered.

A bit disappointing a group that included myself and 3 others wanted to support a local business but we were sadly disappointed. We were not greated at the door we had to ask to be seated and ask for menus after that we took our seats outside. We are very understanding about understaffed restaurants during this time. We sat at the table for over 20 minutes, none of the waitresses/waiters even talked to us or acknowledged us during the whole time. Meanwhile other tables were seated and acknowledged at this point we made the decision to leave.

The food is good, particularly the seafood, but who wants to eat at a place that reaks 24/7 of a sewage leak. That's a health code violation in itself. Most of the staff are friendly but one waitress named Ashleigh is extremely rude, opinionated and loud. With so many places in town it's not worth the time unless they get rid of that waitress and fix whatever's wrong with the sewer and vent right by the entrance that emits the foul odor. Then I'd bump it up to 3 or 4 stars for the outdoor seating.

Never got acknowledged when we sat down. Never got a menu. Waitress seem more concerned with socializing with the locals that were just there to drink and not concerned with serving food to us and a few others. This place felt "click-ish" and did not feel welcoming. After 20+ minutes, we got up and left unnoticed. We found a great burger place not far away.

Good location, but very poor service Came in on a Friday night around 9:30 hoping the kitchen was open. Instead, I see a patron and/or wait staff putting back shots with a group of people while the other wait staff was tending to everyone else. We ended up waiting almost thirty minutes to even get in an order. Meanwhile, the same mystery patron/staff is still drinking(?) Anyway, the food arrived and the chicken sandwiches didn't have chicken... Bust Prices are slightly above average

Fix your doordash menu to include extra side dressings.

Delived by door dash. Not their problem they did a excellent job. Your establishment did a aweful job Fish & chips, dry fish in a soggy batter 3 pieces with one small wedge of lemon. Tater tots over load of salt, no ketchup for the toots. No utensils and no napkins. Who ever made this and packed this needs some tlc xtra training or you didn’t give a fig about the customer who ordered local to support local trade and local workers. Here’s to supporting local. You lost me as a future customer

DO NOT GO HERE. The incredibly rude woman server needs to be fired immediately this needs to be addressed. That is a health code violation number one number two it is insanity that you would deny a customer a refund on a dish with someone’s hair in it. You’re not at least try to make it right while accusing them. SICK

Horrific customer service. Was waiting by the door for almost 10 mins. When I finally flagged down a server, she stated that she had yelled at me from the bar several times, but I had ignored her. I apologized, and she continued ranting about how she just gave up on trying to call me over. She then asked what I wanted with the same attitude in her voice, and I said nevermind and departed with her yelling at me condescendingly to have a good day.

Our server was practically non-existent. We had to flag her down for everything, which significantly impacted the overall experience. The food itself was quite disappointing. My hummus and pita bread arrived incomplete. It was missing the promised fresh vegetables and lacked the advertised garnish of olive oil and smoked paprika. To make matters worse, the hummus itself was strangely sour, and the pita bread was dry. The Texas French toast was the only saving grace, deemed decent by my companion. The Bay standard English breakfast came with toast, tater tots, and a choice of meat. However, the tater tots were cold upon arrival. It's important to note that a simple order like ours took a substantial 35 minutes to prepare. This, coupled with the inattentive service and underwhelming food quality, makes it difficult to recommend Emerald Bay Bar and Grill for breakfast.
