Best Indian food, atmosphere and people in the county. We love 50miles away and we now make the drive regularly. We order off the menu and not the buffet. Well crafted food!

The perfect place for some good food. The service was 5-star. This being a small place in Tahoe with handful of staff (atleast when we went), it was managed very well. Our order - tal tadka, butter chicken, chilli garlic naan, tandoori roti and rice.

I recently visited this Indian restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The ambience is decent — clean, comfortable, and welcoming, though not overly fancy. What truly stands out is the food; every dish was bursting with authentic flavor and perfectly spiced. The service was also attentive and friendly, making the overall experience enjoyable. While I noticed a few negative reviews online, I honestly think they don’t do justice to the quality of the food served here. If you’re looking for delicious Indian cuisine and good service, this place is definitely worth a visit. P.S: There is an 18% additional charge for dine-ins. But still it’s worth it. You choose what would you like 🙂

I wanted to share a positive experience I had at an Indian restaurant recently. I arrived almost at their closing time, and I was pleasantly surprised that they were still able to accommodate me. The food was incredibly tasty, which was especially welcome after a long drive. I ordered the garlic naan and the madras chicken curry, and I can confirm that the food quality was very good. Finally don’t miss the masala chai. Beyond the delicious meal, the restaurant is also in a perfect location, making it very convenient. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Indian meal and I certainly plan to go again soon.

The food tasted stale, wasn’t fresh for sure. We ordered fish curry, lamb curry, butter chicken and malai kofta and they all looked the same and I being Indian know that none of the curries looked the way they are supposed to. Chicken tikka had such tiny pieces of chicken like the size of chicken in salad. We paid $180+ and regretted it. They are over pricey as compared to the quality of the food. Poor service, only one person taking orders and wasn’t kind either. Never going back there.

We went there in a group. very dissatisfied with the service and food. Pappadom was raw, foods were tasteless. The owner even dare to take back water and left us with empty glasses because one of the kids spill some water in the table. Made us feel embarrassing and disrespectful. Never ever had such experience eating out. On top of that they charged 18% service tax for the worst customer service. Red flag and not recommended at all.

Service was really poor. The food wasn’t good. We know how difficult is working in the mountains but their attitude was not like a business man. They were totally money minded people. They must make their customer happy for getting service charge but took $18 service charge unknowingly. I don’t recommend 100% this restaurant.

during the Lake Tahoe visit.we went there for dinner.we ordered curries biryani and naan.biryani was tasteless.curry was okay. but service was very worse than food.especially the lady owner got mad often and rude. and the horrible thing they forced to pay 18% service charged for this kind of shitty service. I saw they charged all the costumers 18% service charges. I have regretted why I went there.

***BEWARE 18% SERVICE CHARGE*** This is absolutely ridiculous that a service charge is mandatory with eating. Already the food is VERY high price for the food you get. This food is naturally very cheap but inflated 10 times the amount. The service charge would make us never go to this restaurant. People just want to enjoy family time in a nice setting without being scammed by an 18% charge. America is the land of choice and never forced charge. Tips are getting out of hand and SHOULD never be forced. The customer should always have a choice. Please remember that Nikki Chat. You have lost multiple customers because of this and we will be sure to spread the word to everyone not to come and support your business when you have business practices like this. For all interested in coming here go to the Himalyian Restaurant down the road. Food quality is amazing with no service charge. Please remove this service charge if you want customers.

The food was not at all fresh, thus I would not suggest this to anyone. I came here for tea and samosas, but they both smelt strange and weren't fresh. Being Indian definitely can identify samosas cooked in old oil and even though aloo tiki was not fresh at all. Service was quite unpleasant and they charge 18% on dine in orders.

I got sick after eating here and was served expired soda. They never answered when I tried to reach out. What’s even more suspicious — check their 5-star reviews. Many are from accounts with nearly identical names, and I even saw one with the name of a receptionist from our receipt. Really? Looks like an attempt to bury 1-star reviews. We’ve gone to the health department and filed a formal complaint. Honestly, you’re better off staying hungry than eating here.
