During my stay at my friend's place in Long Island City, she recommended Sweetleaf for coffee, and I’m so glad she did! The design of the café is charming and inviting, making it a great spot to relax. I especially loved the spacious outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee on a nice day. Not only do they serve excellent coffee, but they also have a selection of cocktails and food that looks tempting. It’s a fantastic place to unwind with friends or just enjoy some time to yourself. I highly recommend checking out Sweetleaf if you’re in the area!

The avocado toast was much better than I had expected. It was rather simple compared to other places, but an excellent combo of flavors and an almost perfect amount of crunch on the toast made for a fabulous meal. The two sunny side up eggs were extra for $3 and were delicious as well. Overall I had presumed the food to be closer 3 ⭐, at best 4 ⭐, but I'm going with 5 ⭐

Nice vibe inside, tall ceilings and thoughtful interior. The barista service was pretty slow, but I was not in a rush. My matcha latte and halapeno cheddar bisquit were pretty standard. But I like this location as it is close to the waterfront so it is easy to grab a cup and walk two steps to the park.

Coffee was good and my wife enjoyed her cocktail. We never seen black salt on a drink. The staff was nice but they did take a little long to cut a piece of cake and banana loaf. The carrot cake was great but the banana loaf was not so much. Tasted bland and burnt but I doubt they made it to order. Needless to say I finished ever crumb of my cake and only one bite was taken out of that “loaf.” Otherwise cool place would be back to see how the evenings are

I've been coming to this Sweet Leaf for over 10 years. Probably close to 13 years and its still my favorite coffee spot anywhere in the city. I've been on dates here, have caught up with friends here, tried picking up chicks here, taken an ex girlfriend here where we spent hours doing work and then just chatting the rest of the time. I've seen so many different employees come and go, tried all the pastries and the drinks. All this time and I've never had a bad time here. Hell, I remember during a super hot day outside, they gave me plenty of cops of ice when I just asked for a small cup. The coffee and the rest of the coffee beverages are top notch and the pastries--though expensive--are top notch quality. Definitely not your typical coffee that has the run-of-the-mill pastries. There's plenty of seating here if you come at a good time, a great sized, dimly lit bathroom and a great backroom that I believe you can even rent out for yourself/group of people. Don't quote me on that but I think you can reserve it or something. What I love too is that you can get cocktails here after 5 or 6pm. And again, they are expensive, a little ridiculous with the prices BUT--big but--its GOOD stuff. And the ambiance is just perfect. My favorite coffee spot in all of NYC. Love this place.

Nice coffee spot in LIC. It has a rustic interior, and different spots to sit & enjoy your drinks. It has a very nice atmosphere & ambience. Interesting music playing in the background. There’s a bar here as well. Nice cocktails served. 🦋 loved my mocha! 🦋 mold wine was alright, nothing special. 🦋 place can be cleaner honestly, they don’t clean up after people leave…(table/chairs). 🦋 the service was alright, nothing special. We ordered our drinks & received them . 🦋 in the private room ( the leather sofa & table top is falling apart).

I only got a latte to go but standing there waiting have me a chance to pick up the vibe of the place and I loved that about it. However the barista took his sweet time making coffee drinks and the coffee want as good as some of the surrounding coffee shops. Bonus is the free little library inside, thank you for that, it’s a sweet touch!

The coffee is so acidic I couldn't drink it. They need to reconsider their coffee. I drink it black and I drink it everywhere. If they would simply buy Peet's it would have been fine but if course why don't they just use Illy the best coffee. What they have was truly undrinkable.

It’s located in a good spot that’s very close to the shore in LIC. Overall, I’m not super impressed with the food quality. We ordered breakfast burritos, OG breakfast sandwich and grilled chicken sandwich. They all tasted pretty standard, nothing super impressive. That being said the service was very nice and we enjoyed our drinks. My rating is between 3 and 3.5.

Coffee place by day bar by night in Long Island City. We decided to go for happy hour oysters that was advertised for $1.25 a piece off course we also get some salsa with nachos. Salsa had no flavor that I started adding different condemns from oysters plus salt came out a little better. Advertising price was a lie they charge us $1.50 it’s still pretty cheap but the fact of different price is not right.

This used to my favorite spot, but today's experience has taught me to not come again. Went in and ordered an iced latte. When I was about to pay, I realized that the person had put in the wrong size and they got annoyed when I tried to fix that. But the worst issue was there were children literally running around back and forth in the cafe with scooters and the staff did nothing. In fact, I think the staff knew the children and just let them do what they want. This place is a coffee shop and a bar. How is it reasonable in either of these scenarios for children to be running around? I had gone in to get some work done, but couldn't stay for more than 10 minutes. A toddler came and tried to crawl up my table and I had to make sure that the kid did not accidentally fall and no parents were watching after their kids. There were at least 8 children at the store at the time.

Absolutely horrible. I never write reviews, let alone negative ones, but I’m so pissed. Took 50 minutes to get two sandwiches. When we checked in, they said it would be out in 2 minutes, but it took 20 more minutes from that point. No apology, no offer for a refund, nothing. The food itself looks like it was basically thrown into the containers as you can see, and one of the sandwiches was missing the hashbrowns that are supposed to be in it — and it is literally called an egg and HASH ciabatta sandwich. Don’t go here.
