Lived up the street from here back in the 90s. They were great back then and now. I'll stop by anytime I'm in the area. Me and my daughter usually share a Surf & Turf Burrito or Sarita Fries (Surf & Turf) Both are more than enough food. However, over the years we've never had a bad experience with any of the other items we've tried. They get pretty busy. So be patient while they prepare your food. It's worth it!

Delicious( Authentic Mexican Food) Even just a simple three rolled potato tacos! My boss actually recommended tho place. It’s the best I had in SD and North county/ They add sour cream and the salsas they have are tasty! Con sabor!!! Also the cashier is friendly I’ll make sure to come back when I’m near the area .

By far my favorite taco shop in the area. Been going for a while but recently had the pollo asada burrito and it was next level. The char flavor is perfect. The size of the burrito is big!

Been twice now in a week and both times 10/10. Had the Cali the 1st time and a breakfast burrito today. Burritos are huge, perfect balance of ingredients, food is fresh and seasoned well. My new go to spot.

This place is my favorite restaurant in all of California. I cannot get Mexican food like this on the east coast. It’s delicious, authentic, perfection. The woman that was at the register there last time we went, I didn’t get her name, but she’s a great mom and made us feel so welcome there. My four year old kept asking questions and she was so kind and patient with him. We truly appreciate you all so much. Keep up the good work! I miss your hot sauce so much 😭🫶🌶️🥑🍅

Great Mexican food with a variety of food that takes you back to TJ taste. At the same time, their Ceviche, shrimp and shrimp and octopus is amazing. I also tried the great mixture of carne asada fries which was a really big portion which is hard for one person to finish, but the amount of meat wasn’t good enough, so definitely it needs more meat. The place is authentic but they only offer corn tortillas for their tacos, while we wanted flour tortillas

I have been coming here for 10 plus years and I always order the Surf and Turf and to be honest I’ve been coming less. Reason number #1 is they started putting less portions in there surf and turfs I know this because before I would struggle eating one and now I can eat all of it. Reason #2 there is less guac and sour cream inside the burrito. Reason #3 if you want better and bigger burritos come at night not in the day time. It’s not drastically more but it’s better than the day shift crew. Even though prices came up over the years at least be consistent for portions sizes Mrs. Saritas I know this because in day time you get a skinny long surf and turf and night time you get a little fatter surf and turf. Not like before were you guys were known for the best and biggest now it’s not even that any more. I do order from time to time to see anything has changed but nothing changed and I hope this review will let the owner know portions have gotten smaller and stop putting less guac and sour cream inside the burritos. I should have some in every bite not the last bite of the burrito or a specific spot in the burrito because most of it dry but what helps is the chipotle sauce. I order the surf and turf with cabeza so the cashiers know who I am because not many order it like that. Cabeza is good no complaints and chipotle is amazing. Please go back to how you guys used to be I go less now because of it. There are tik tok and instagram review videos addressing these issues and receiving a low score. Please have a meeting with all shifts and adjust portions to more like it used to be. I hope this complaint or review helps with the owner think about it because just like there’s video reviews on your taco shop there’s other reviews of other taco shops and I’ve been spending my money else where and trust me I used to drive 30 minutes for your burrito I live in Chula Vista and now I go less to your taco shop. First time here order was wrong, meat was way over cooked burritos had no picó. We said one with one without. I asked for a hard shell asada taco, got a soft taco. So disappointed! Most likely won’t be back! Salsa was decent.

I want to report a serious issue that happened at Sarita’s Taco Shop involving one of your employees, Roberto, who works as a cashier. On multiple occasions, he has touched me inappropriately and made sexual comments that made me very uncomfortable. I’ve lived in this neighborhood my whole life, just two streets away, and I’ve never experienced anything like this before. It’s deeply upsetting to have this happen at a place. I also want to be clear that I don’t speak for any of the other employees. Everyone else at Sarita’s Taco Shop has always been really nice, friendly, and communicative. They bring positive and helpful energy to the restaurant, which is why I’ve continued coming here. In November, Roberto touched my butt without my consent. I told him to stop, but he continued to talk to me, compliment me, and later touched my stomach even after I said I didn’t like it. That kind of unwanted touching is harassment. Roberto told me he was too old for me, which I found confusing. If he already knew there was a big age difference and that I wasn’t interested, why did he still continue acting this way? It almost felt like he wanted to emphasize our age gap to make his intentions more obvious, as if I should somehow see it as flattering. But I don’t — I’m not interested in him at all. He also said one time when he ran to find me in the parking lot that I meet him in the back by the tailor store next to Sarita’s, which I understood as a sexual advance. I told him I wasn’t interested. In December, he touched my private area without my permission. I was in shock and told him no right away. During another visit, when I ordered carne asada fries, he made an inappropriate sexual joke by pretending I had said co*k, but I had not. I ignored his comment and tried to move on, but After, he asked what was wrong and said my face looked sick or bad, I understood that as him being rude because I hadn’t gone along with what he wanted. His comment had nothing to do with me ordering food or anything relevant to our interaction — he was simply being mean and disrespectful. I called the staff to report this and I’m waiting to hear back from the owner. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures this kind of behavior doesn’t happen again to anyone else. I haven’t contacted the police because it can take a long time for them to arrive, and as someone who does food delivery work, I can’t afford long delays, but I do want this issue addressed properly by the restaurant. The photo that looks like it tried is santanas. I used to go to saritas back in the day, it was always the neighborhood favorite, i recently moved back to spring valley and it seems like saritas doesn't care about the quality anymore. The photos speaks for it self

I had an absolutely terrible experience at Sarita’s Mexican Food this past month. I have been to Spring Valley location (9906 Campo Road), and the service has been consistently awful. I called 20 minutes ahead to place an order, only to arrive and find out that they had completely messed it up. Instead of fixing it quickly, I was forced to wait another 20 minutes, meaning I wasted an entire hour just to get my food. That is completely unacceptable. While the food itself is decent, the customer service is beyond horrible. The staff is unprofessional, inattentive, and does not seem to care about their customers. There is one guy in particular who is there regularly, and his attitude is absolutely terrible—rude, unwelcoming, and completely lacking in basic customer service skills. If you value your time and expect to be treated with respect, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants that serve great food without making you feel like an inconvenience.

Now, missing and incorrect items abound, only to be met with the rude and short tempered staff barking instructions at customers, as if we were the nuisance. Adding insult to injury, is the exorbitant fees charged for additional salsa, when the amount included is insufficient. I write this as sit trying to enjoy the dryest most flavorless California Burrito of my entire life. Terrible.

I’ve been going to this place since I was in high school. But this is going to be the last time I ever order anything from this place. If you order anything on the phone for pick up and they tell you, it’s gonna be ready in 15 minutes that’s a lie. It’s not the first time this has happened. It happens every time I order hoping I could save some time to just pick up my food and instead it takes an additional 45 minutes to almost an hour waiting for my food. It seems as though they decide to lie to you until your food will be ready in 15 minutes if you order over the phone and the truth is, they don’t make your food until you show up there and pay for it. Next time, customers would appreciate some honesty so that they could actually anticipate having to wait for it to be made because pick up/ take out does not exist.

Placed a DoorDash order of the Saritas fries, I noticed that you CANT ADD salsa verde to the order only on the burritos which I have bought the butritos before and I always pay for the salsas (2 salas for $1 ONE DOLLAR). So I’m like let me call and just ask them to add a few it shouldnt be an issue bc they’re free in most places. The lady on the phone tells me sorry we can’t add them on the Sarita’s fries it’s not set up that way on DoorDash … I was in disbelief that she didn’t even offer to give them it’s just salsas they barely cost anything. So I’m like you can’t just give me a few ? She’s like no sorry dear…. Lol but I’m actually shocked … it’s just blended spicy peppers with water, you’re willing to bring your business down over tiny salsas that cost a few cents? I’ve never had a Mexican restaurant do this before, Crazy.

We order three burritos and an order of carne asada fries. For a total of 73 dollar. Two of the burritos and the asada fries were to be as expected. But the burrito i ordered (surf and turf) had too many fillers and not enough of the protein. It had an abundance of potatoes and rice. For the price you pay it should have more meat and shrimp. The burrito in itself is massive and has great taste, but very little shrimp and meat I literally counted 3 whole shrimp and a few pieces cut up. Again for the price, you should have better distribution in each bite. I ate half of it and in that half there was two whole small shrimp and a few pieces. One shrimp was on my first bite and then after eating through it with a lot of potatoes, rice, some asada, and two pieces of shrimp at the bottom there was another small whole shrimp. I hope by now you can tell I am very disappointed with the portions given in this surf and turf burrito. I will not be ordering this again and I will start to question if I want to continue going to Saritas. I understand if you need to charge more but at least let me get what I paid for. Next time I want a papa and rice burrito, I'll order that instead.

This place has gone downhill. They used to be our go to. Not anymore! Save your time and money. Food quality is not the same anymore! The customer service is ridiculous. Incompetent people trying to take orders and the cook cant seem to comprehend the customers order either. Something is always wrong with the order. They have converted into one of the nastiest taco shops of Spring Valley!
