This restaurant has a wonderful selection of gnocchis. We tried the salad, pretzel bread, gnocchi allá vodka and grilled chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious and my husband who doesn’t even like gnocchi was impressed and ate some of my dish. I would want to come back and try other dishes as well. They have a fairly large selection of food.

We had a wonderful dinner at CH. Victoria was awesome and helped make our anniversary special. The sticky honey lemon cake was our favorite dessert we've ever had there!

It was phenomenal. The food came out at the perfect time. We were not rushed. It was so nice to have a quiet dinner.

Friendly staff and Great burgers! They have a full gluten-free menu !! The gluten-free bread was delicious.

It feels like your walking into a large wine cellar when you enter this restaurant. The appetizers are excellent. We enjoyed the brushetta and the bacon wrapped shrimp. The churrasco grilled skirt steak was cooked perfectly. The gnocchi carbonara was delicious. The pork chops are large! Everything we tried was excellent.

Overall, enjoyed the wine and food. I feel it's good place if you get a good server. We started by wine tasting in the front. The staff member that was working with was not as engaged with us compared to the other staff members. We had dinner reservations and were seated promptly. Our server was friendly as we ordered an appetizer and pitcher of Sangria. It took quite some time as our server brought us water but then time passed and we finally asked when we would be getting our Sangria. Other tables seated after us already received their drinks and bread as we sat there and waited. The table was tiny so we couldn't enjoy our food before the table was overcrowded with plates. The server was very nice but we didn't seem to be taken care of as well as the table next to us even though we ordered 3 courses, wine, appetizers, main course. Regardless, the food was phenomenal. We enjoyed the Sangria, salmon spread appetizer, Parmesan Crusted Mahi Mahi, Pistachio Crusted Grouper and Filet Medallions which was fantastic.

Great food and environment. Service was good and with a party of 10 we had several wait staff take care of us. Had the chilaquiles that were on a brunch menu. Very good!!

Took myself out for a happy hour lunch. Food was phenomenal, service was top notch and my drinks were delicious. Definitely can’t wait to come back. Prices are higher than Springfield usuals but comparable to Vele or curate. Definitely worth checking out for their extensive menu!

We made reservations for dinner on Sunday evening, though they ended up not being needed. The staff was very courteous and seated us quickly. Our server was Ellie B, who was amazing! Very attentive and wonderful. The food was cooked perfectly, absolutely delicious. We ordered a bottle of wine, both got surf and turf with filet medallions (salmon and grouper), and deserts. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend visiting!

One of our favorite restaurants of all time! We came back for my birthday and brought friends who had never been. The experience was wonderful and the food was delicious, as always. They brought their artisan cheese plate back for the season and I enjoyed the new cheeses and toppings. We also had the southwestern egg rolls, which are always a hit. We drank a bottle of romance red wine, which I order every time I go, and a bottle of passion fruit wine. I had never had the passion fruit but it was very light and tasty. For our entrees my friends had the special which was filet medallions with lobster gratin. They both loved it. I got my all time favorite braised short ribs and my fiance had the salmon which we'd never had before but was fantastic! Service was wonderful as always. Will return soon.

It was my first time attending because it was a surprise from my best friend. Great experience, and I look forward to visiting again. Recommend it to anyone who likes to dine and get some wine, and then go shopping because it connected to the White Oak Mall.

Wow! Blown away by this great place. First of all, it’s a wine club and has the infrastructure to support that. Then it’s also an INCREDIBLE restaurant. I had the grilled salmon but was blown away by the wasabi mashed potatoes and Asian slaw. Amazing flavors and combination. The pretzel bread was exceptional as well.

What an amazing restaurant, I can say I was fully satisfied and our waitress was amazing! The appetizer portions were worth it. Happy Hour is from 3-6pm with great prices. The Lux wine flight was fabulous. We visited at 5:30pm and it wasn't to busy.

For the price you get what you paid for, excellent service, clean, bathrooms too, and the portions are good sized too. Their wine selections is isnt half bad, and the food was great. Their interior lighting in the evening is amazing.

Lunch was phenomenal!!! Best margarita ever. Potstickers and Asian slaw was delicious 😋 I had the gnocchi carbonara which was out of this world!!! My friend had the pork chop and said it was fantastic. Kudos to the chef!!!! Waitress was a bit flighty and took a while to get our orders but the food totally made up for it!!!!

Little late posting a review however my thoughts still haven’t changed. My cousin and I are fairly new to the Springfield area and have heard good things about Coopers. When we arrived we were immediately greeted with warm welcoming smiles and was immediately served with the upmost care. We were seated and asked for our wine selection and appetizers. I highly recommend the lettuce wraps, they are delicious! Then, since we were new we asked for the waitresses favorite. Anna (our waitress) recommended some AMAZING selections! Throughout our entire experience we didn’t know what to expect. I loved the dry white wine, sweet and tangy lettuce wraps, (different sauces), creamy rich pasta, and a delicious sweet crème brûlée. Overall, a 10/10 experience. I would also like to recognize Anna for her hard work and her amazing product knowledge. She was very respectful, knowledgeable and the sweetest waitress you’ll ever meet! She most certainly made our night. I will 100% be returning!

Was a neat wine venue/restaurant. Did a sample tasting. The sweet wines I had were very good. Our server was excellent and need her wines. All the employees were so friendly. We just had appetizers and they were delicious.

My husband and I had a nice dinner tonight. Liz was an amazing waitress. She was very pleasant despite the warm temperature in the dining room due to air conditioning problems. Her service was quick and accurate. She truly made our night!! The food was delicious, as usual. Highly recommend!

Snagged walk-in bar seats and had great conversation with other guests. Fortunately the other guy was quite a talker, so I basically slammed 3 old fashioneds by the time the main course came out. At that point a good day became a great day. 5 stars for the bar staff.

An Outstanding Dining Experience – Thanks to Elizabeth! We had an incredible experience at Cooper’s Hawk in Springfield, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing waitress, Elizabeth. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel genuinely welcome and taken care of. Elizabeth was attentive without being overbearing, had excellent menu knowledge, and gave fantastic wine pairing suggestions that really elevated our meal. Her warm personality and professionalism turned a great dinner into a truly memorable evening. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests, and it made all the difference. If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend asking for Elizabeth—she’s the best! We’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Had a great experience tonight! Our waitress Torie was the best waitress! Very attentive, & she was genuinely so nice and gave great suggestions on menu items! The hostess was great as well as the manager! All around very nice people! Coopers Hawk did not disappoint! This will be our new go-to!

Sam that helped us with our wine tasting (I think that’s his name) was wonderful! Very nice and definitely knows his wine! This is the second time this has happened, but I went to the hostess stand and asked to get seated at the bar and the hostess said the dining AND bar area was all booked up….ummmm, it was 9pm and 5 tables were open but okay. I’m not stupid. Idk why they say this, but they’re lying. It’s stupid. If you don’t want the business, just say so.

Had a fantastic dinner at Cooper’s Hawk. The atmosphere was great, and the food came out hot and delicious. I have to give a special shout-out to the staff, though. The employees were exceptional and awesome! They were super attentive without hovering and really made us feel taken care of. We will definitely be back soon." Option 3: The "Vibe & Staff" Review (Casual) Rating: 4/5 or 5/5 "Stopped in for some wine and appetizers and had a great time. If you haven't done a tasting in the front room yet, you need to try it. We eventually grabbed a table for dinner, and while the place was packed, the team handled it perfectly. The employees were exceptional and awesome—even with how busy it was, they never made us feel rushed and were super knowledgeable about the menu. Great food, great wine, and even better people working there."

Coopers is a true hidden gem in little ole Springfield. If you’re wanting a modern luxe but approachable dinning experience this is it! Kenneth is our “go-to” Sommelier, always impressed with his consistent level of service, knowledge, and spirit of keeping it real. If you’re here more than once a month it’s a no brainer to be apart of their wine club, otherwise you’re just paying for others to have deeper luxe benefits; Kenneth will personalize all his recommendations and get you enrolled with which tier is suited for your lifestyle. Also their Brussel sprouts are unmatched in Sangamon county!

Cooper's Hawk is a great choice when you want a delicious meal, great service, and good wine/drinks. We were especially pleased with our server, Gracie, and look forward to dining there again when she's working. We love the brussels sprouts and the shrimp appetizers!

We ate in the bar area on Sat November 15th and had the Best Service. Our server was friendly, professional and on point with everything. He should be training servers. The meals were fantastic as always. Everyone at the table left happy!

We have done a few wine tastings and had Keith as our server. He is always so friendly and attentive. Each time we have had him he offers suggestions and does great descriptions of the wine profile.

Very few options for Thanksgiving landed us at Cpopers Hawk, and we were lucky to celebrate there. Took a while to be seated (with reservation) but service and food entered excellent! Everyone loved the Brussels sprouts app!

Visiting from Memphis, Tn and so happy we came here! The food and service was exceptional! Josh, our server, went above and beyond. He was so friendly, informative, and considerate. I wish we had this kind of service everywhere! Thank you Josh for making my visit home a great one!

This was my first time visiting, and it was actually a surprise from my best friend — what a fun experience! I loved it and can’t wait to go back again. It’s perfect for anyone who enjoys good dining paired with wine, and the bonus is that it connects directly to White Oak Mall. You can have a relaxing meal, enjoy a drink or two, and then hop straight into shopping without missing a beat. The vibe was inviting, the staff was friendly, and everything just felt effortless. Whether you’re going with friends or on a solo trip, it’s a great spot to combine food, drinks, and some retail therapy. Definitely recommending this one to anyone in the area!

Family of 7 adults wanted dinner on a Monday night. Thought we could just go in about 5:30 and get seated but thought we should call first. No such luck. Ended up with a 7:45 reservation. Was seated near the main entry aisle, which we did not like. We got 3 appetizers: the egg rolls, Brussel sprouts, and the bbq brisket flatbread that was on special. The flatbread was really good but The Brussel sprouts were just so so. Thought they were too sweet. For dinner there were a variety of dishes but in the photos are the Skirt steak fillet with fries and the Surf & Turf-Parmesan crusted medallions and drunken shrimp with mashed potatoes and veggies. We could have used more water a little more often but otherwise service was good.

First time coming here and the food was delightful tasty! The bbq chicken salad threw me off when the chicken was cold as I expected it to be somewhat warm needless to say it was still very good and full of flavor. The burger unfortunately was a bit dry and didn’t have any ketchup on it like I asked. The chocolate cake was very rich and completed the meal perfectly! Will definitely have to have a 2nd go around.

I’ve been wanting to try CH for forever, but i’m not located in the Midwest anymore! I’ve hear many good things - and when I was visiting my mum decided to take me. It was a fun experience! Our server was very great, and made sure we got to taste multiple wines before we found the one we settled on. If I’m being honest, it wasn’t my favorite wine in the world but not bad by any standards. For food, I got the filet medallions with asparagus. Each one was topped with something different: crusted bleu cheese, horseradish, and Parmesan. I also changed my side to the wasabi buttered potatoes. It was all great! The filet medallions were cooked to a perfect medium rare and my favorite topping was the bleu cheese. I enjoyed the wasabi butter on the potatoes, as well! My mum and her husband both enjoyed their dishes. She got the pork chops and I believe he got a short rib? They both loved it. All in all, this probably isn’t my first choice to go to but I definitely would not say no to coming back!

The table was tiny so we couldn't enjoy our food before the table was overcrowded with plates. Regardless, the food was phenomenal. We enjoyed the sparkling almond wine, Calamari, Tomato Bruschetta, Napa chicken salad, Parmesan Crusted Mahi Mahi and Gnocchi with Roasted Butternut Squah which was fantastic. We also enjoyed the truffles for dessert which were delicious.

Had a great dinner with my best friend (my husband). Josh offered us a phenomenal dinner experience. Unfortunately on our way out we stopped to grab a few bottles to take home and were snubbed by one of the male staff so that he could assist two female patrons instead…BUT Sheila did an amazing job turning our experience around! We appreciate both Josh and Sheila and look forward to seeing them next time.

Service was good, but do not recommend ordering any of the risotto's. I ordered the tomato and sweet corn risotto and it was not made properly, it was sitting in a bowl of oil. I had to use napkins to soak it up. pretty disappointing because I overall enjoy coopers hawk. Additionally, where I was seated, the floor was very slippery and I nearly fell down on my way to the table booth. Lastly, I noticed that the menu had an icon for gluten free options at the bottom corner, however, as I was looking through the menu there were NO gluten free available options at all.

The food was pretty good but multiple dishes were cold, even when we asked them to remake them.

Food Review: Cooper’s Hawk – Springfield, IL As a long-time fan of Cooper’s Hawk locations in St. Louis, MO and Orland Park, IL, I was truly looking forward to a special Mother’s Day dinner at the Springfield, IL location. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations. We had an early reservation, yet service was sluggish from the start. After an extended wait, we had to flag down our waiter just to receive our dinner orders. One of the entrées arrived incorrect, though to their credit, the staff corrected it promptly. I was happy to see a gluten-free menu with several promising options. I ordered the gluten-free gnocchi chicken carbonara, but it fell flat—lacking the flavor and finesse I’ve come to expect from Cooper’s Hawk. The salad we ordered felt underwhelming in both size and value, and while I specifically asked for gluten-free bread, it never arrived. Service continued to be spotty. We had to track down our waiter repeatedly, and the final straw came when I opened my leftovers the next day. The lettuce wraps I had saved were a total mess—soggy and inedible, with the lettuce buried under wet toppings. A careless presentation that resulted in the entire appetizer being tossed. Cooper’s Hawk is typically a favorite of mine, but this particular visit was a disappointment from start to finish. Between the inattentive service, lackluster food, and sloppy packaging, I won’t be returning to the Springfield location.

Food was phenomenal and the service didn’t miss a beat. It was a hot summer day, and I assumed they were having HVAC issues, which is understandable. But the way the tables were crammed together made it feel more like they were chasing quantity over quality. Still, the meal itself was worth it.

The most overrated expensive place I've ever eaten! I've had better steak at Chili's. I asked for medium rare and still had to use effort when I cut the steak. It did not melt in my mouth and was kind of tough. When I asked for a box to go, they box it for you. I only ate for five bites of my meal and they took all of it and put it in one small container. I didn't tell the lady that I'm allergic to garlic, so shoving it all in that small container ruined anything I planned to eat after I left.

I'm very disappointed in the available of food/ wines at this location. I'm a member and have two magnum bottles of sweet wine that I'm unable to pick up because this location does not have them in stock. When I dined in a few nights ago, they were out of the item I wanted to order to eat however the chef did make it for me. Today I wanted to try the grilled cheese sandwich and they don't have that. I never have a problem ordering anything I want from any other location but this one. I understand Springfield, IL may not be as big as other cities however since there's a Cooper's Hawk here, they should have the same availability as other locations. I'm considering canceling my membership. I don't see the point of having it when items are constantly unavailable.

We have been longtime patrons to the st louis locarion. Brought a family of 7 for lunch and it was just the worst restaurant experience in a long time. despite very few people in the dining area, they seated us right on the walkway, pressed up behind another group of people. We were given 4 different servers that would disappear for a long time despite not being busy at all, we had to ask 5 times for bread and 3 times for drink refils, they took a VERY long time to bring our food. The bruscetta app was a waste, our other food was pretty good. they have been making cuts-and it is obvious. for example the sangria in st louis has nice big slices of fruit, now it has tiny bits of fruit that have just been scraped off the cutting board. However low review is mainly for the experience...very disappointed.

Nice place, good wait staff. Had a slightly more up scale feel. The food was terrible. Could not eat it. Left most of it on the plate. Very very disappointing. Will not be going back. Recommend some where with a chef in the back.

We had a reservation at 6:45. We didn't get seated until 7:20. It's a chain restaurant with decent food, but when they don't offer you anywhere to sit while you wait over 30 minutes past your reservation it isn't worth it at all. The staff was unbelievably rude and uncaring. They rolled their eyes when after a half hour I asked how much longer. It was crowded with nowhere to sit because they had clearly overbooked the reservations. Horrible atmosphere as everyone was angry that they had terrible service. Won't be going back unless they change management. Unbelievably bad. No apology, no "hey here's a free drink while you wait" or "here's a free appetizer as an apology for us screwing up so badly". Not even an "I'm sorry for your wait". That shows a lack of leadership, poor management, and a bad staff. Corporate should clean house and try again. When the food came around 8:00, my brother’s medium rare stake was a hockey puck. My mother and I’s pasta had clearly been reheated in a microwave, and my other brother’s flatbread looked like it had been dipped in a bowl of soup. When the bill came, it was for $152. The tip below showed that 20% of that was $48. I shared a picture because I was absolutely stunned. They not only screwed up the entire meal but then they tried to get us to leave a 33% tip by calling it 20%!? This place is a scam! Do not eat here. Ever. There are so many better places in Springfield

Service is insanely slow. It took over an hour to get our entres and my wifes sides were tepid when they arrived. My Risotto was "okay" and so was her chicken but for the money spent the service does not match. We will not be coming back. The reply from the owner on her borders on insulting. It's a generic "sorry not sorry". This clearly lets you know this is not a cook issue.. it's not a server issue.. it's a management issue.

Super excited to bring my dad here to Coopers Hawk for his 88 birthday dinner, he had never been, I’ve been here previously and it was great. I had made a reservation letting them know of my dad’s 88yr. celebration. My dad talked about going to CH all day long.. What a disappointment. My dad ordered the filet mignon, he said it was terrible, I could see he was having a time trying to cut it, so tough, chewy, not good. It wouldn’t be that bad of an issue if the waitress or anyone for that matter came by to see if everything was ok.. that’s chapter 1 in waitressing, lay down the plates come around and make sure all needs are met for the remainder of the meal, but who am I ?? I finished my dinner as my 88yr dad sat in front of me waited for the waitress to come around to inform her of his disappointment of his filet mignon. Just terrible!!! You guys are jerks. Happy Birthday Stan! Smh.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. We had a 6:30 pm reservation. Sat for 20 minutes without our drink order even taken. Other tables that had gotten in after us were getting there food. We had been told by multiple servers someone would be by to help us, but nothing. We had to leave. The manager called and wanted to make things right. She offered to send me something in the mail. I never received anything so my review will stay. I'll now be adding a review to trip advisor and yelp as well.

Terrible service. Waiter couldn’t figure out how to bring two pitchers of water out at a time and only half the table would get water refilled. Never cleared a plate from the table and mixed everyone’s food up. Lady at the tasting bar was great just a bad waiter.

Came here on 10/23 for an anniversary. Had reservation, so check in was fine. Service: Terrible. Our server was more preoccupied with cleaning, getting the place ready to close, and supervising other co-workers in the cleaning duties and such that they barely came over to check on us. Ordered our food and then asked for a diet. Half-way through my meal, the diet finally came. It was not busy, so the attention should have not been impacted. We asked for our check and waited over 25 minutes to get the check. We had to flag another server and even the manager to get the check taken care of. Manager "took off" the cheapest item on the bill. Our celebration was not the best due to the lack of service. Our bill was just two entrees, one soda, and one appetizer. The right thing to do after all of that would have been to just put it on the house. Server asked if we wanted wine or dessert, but why would we? We didn't want to wait so much time for items to be delivered to us. Not coming back to this place.
