The Saint is a must visit in St. Helena, and worth the drive if in the surrounding areas! We just celebrated my son's engagement dinner there and it was fabulous. They went above and beyond to make is so special. The room was decorated so beautifully. The food is was amazing as well as the service. They have a wonderful wine selection. After dinner we stopped in the bar to listen to the live music. It was just a perfect evening! I own a travel agency, not only will I be visiting this restaurant again, it is being added to my list of restaurant recommendations for my clients visiting Napa Valley.

Located on Saint Helena's historic Main Street, the place has a romantic and sophisticated atmosphere. The building, originally The Bank of Saint Helena from the 1890s, has been beautifully transformed into an intimate wine lounge and 21+ restaurant. We did a wine tasting paired with some cheeses, and it was an amazing experience. Everything is locally sourced, from the wines to the artisan cheeses and breads, which are freshly made at the bakery next door. We had the best pecorino we've ever tasted. The Saint also has charming spaces for events, adding to its allure. Whether you're a red or white wine lover, you'll find something to enjoy. If you're in Napa Valley, The Saint is definitely worth a visit!

I cannot say enough good things about The Saint!!!! My husband and I got married in St. Helena. Our venue ended on the earlier side and we were so torn about having an after party due to costs. We spoke with Heidi multiple times who was SO kind and patient about our indecisiveness. We finally came around a few weeks before the wedding and she was so happy to still help us. She was able to make our budget work with multiple changes leading up to the party. Our guests LOVED it and the late night bites provided were such a nice touch!! It really is such a unique and vibey spot. Heidi and her husband Scott are so wonderful and we are forever grateful for the time we got to spend with our guests there that night. I strongly recommend this place if you’re looking for a wedding after party in St. Helena, we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Thank you Heidi and Scott!!

EDIT: changed from 1 star to 4. The owner Heidi is phenomenal. After our bed experience she more than made up for it. The fact that she reached out and wanted to make it right speaks volumes to her and how she runs her business. The Saint is beautiful and I would highly recommend. Very rude owner. Door was unlocked and walked in, instead of just saying they were closed owner walked to the bar like he would serve us but then told us we should leave he is drinking with his friends.

This is a super little wine bar, in the tradition of European wine bars. Excellent selection of local wines, and light fare. We had the artisanal cheese platter, which had an amazing Camembert, paired with a local NV Chardonnay from Night in Carneros. Delicious! Great place to rest, relax, sip a nice glass, nibble on delicious cheeses (we also had the oysters!), and play the pairing game. :-)) The saint is in the old bank building (1908 I believe), and you can have a table in the old vault, or sit back in the “Speakeasy” and relax in the comfort of a little hideaway. We are really happy to have found this place, and the affable owner. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Wonderful experience from beginning to end. The drinks are top notch. They must have a brilliant mixologist. The highlights were the bartender Jesse. Though, the ambiance, music, owner presence give you everything you want from an experience. And it is a top notch experience. Highly recommend.

Everything was fresh, looked wonderful, and tasted amazing. From the moment we walked in the door, Kim knew my name and my reservation, and greeted us warmly and took us to a wonderful table in the back.Everything was clean and well serviced. Kim was attentive, but not overbearing. She checked on us and let us know that we had ordered things that were popular on the menu. I would highly recommend the Saint. It’s great for date night and also a good time with friends. It has a nice social section in the front and a private space in the back. You won’t regret giving it a try.

The Saint is a St Helena gem, with amazing boutique wines from small producers not widely found on wine lists, and fantastic food from Market next door, another St Helena gem. Stephanie was our warm and attentive server. The lounge vibe makes The Saint a great place to just hang out and enjoy very good wine or cocktails with very good friends, you won’t be hurried out the door.

What an incredible discovery and experience in St. Helena! The place exudes elegance and sophistication without a hint of pretentiousness, offering a unique blend of history and charm in its classy décor. The host/owner Heidi was exceptionally warm and welcoming. The wine selection is impressively diverse, showcasing the finest local wines. However, their own Night Wines, in particular, are a standout--an absolute "must-try", especially for red wine enthusiasts. The food menu complements the experience perfectly, with a fantastic variety to cater to all tastes, including fresh oysters. Whether you're winding down after a day of wine tasting with friends or planning a romantic date, this spot has you covered. Combined with top-notch service, it's an experience you'll want to repeat. Would give it 5 stars but $25 for a Tito’s espresso martini is kind of ridiculous. Service was amazing. Super cool vibe. Idk I just think that’s a little wild, I’ve been to a lot of nice restaurants in Napa and this wins for the for the most expensive martini I’ve ever had.

This place would be nice for a date or just to hang out. We tried the Night flight and hummus plate. We were disappointed that the Saint doesn't serve dinner in the winter. The wine wasn't spectacular and the experience was expensive.

Wines were mediocre and food choices were limited to cheese and charcuterie. Service was disorganized. We had a reservation but they had a tough time seating all of us. Gratuity was included on final bill but the server never called our attention to it and we also did not see a printed receipt. Subsequently we left another 20% gratuity.

I'll keep this brief and just note specifics. 1. Cuisine. Disappointing. My chopped salad was brand and the grilled chicken was dry, not at all worth $38. My wife had the roasted chicken breast and requested mashed potatoes instead of Yukon potatoes. Not a big deal but a simple request that was over looked and by the time the mashed potatoes arrived she was almost finished. 2. Noise level. The Saint is a very small establishment with a bar area (noice reverberates). There was group of 3-4 very loud guests at the bar. Normally this is not an issue for us but considering we were celebrating our anniversary and the profanity being used at the bar, it distracted from the dining experience. 3. The menu notes a 20% gratuity will be included in the bill. I don't appreciate being required to tip 20%. "A gratuity is a discretionary, additional payment on top of a check total given as a token of gratitude for good service and great hospitality." I've been in the service industry for over 25 years and understand the significance of a gratuity and will happily tip accordingly. The host mentioned the 20% while showing us the bill and coyly added we could add more if we desired. Seriously! In summary, a very bad dining experience. Your time and money would be better given to other dining establishments in the area.
