Great atmosphere - a popular gathering for for locals. There were two large Birthday parties going on while I was there and everyone was having a great time. I had the Hangover burger - I can't resist a burger with a Sunnyside-up egg!
This was a really great find! When you arrive, you're greeted by two massive chairs and a Conroe Lakehouse mural which are fantastic for a quick photo op! I went on a Monday evening. There were hardly any patrons inside when i got there and absolutely none dining outside. I chose outdoor seating because the restaurant is lakeside and the sun had gone down leaving behind a shooting breeze. I practically had the whole area to myself and it's incredibly spacious. There is a kids play area with plenty of room to run around! They have an outdoor stage for select evenings with music. For the cooler temps, there are large outdoor firpits! The food was delicious! I ordered mozzarella sticks to begin with and they were top tier! The coating was gently fried and the cheese was thick and melted perfectly! For my entree, I ordered boneless mango habanero chicken wings. The sauce was coated smoothly all over the wings. You could taste it in every bite. My only wish was that they would've added more celery and carrot sticks. The basket of fries was ok but lacked a bit more salt or seasoning. For the drink of the evening, I ordered a Pink Flamingo which was pink vodka, watermelon pucker, and lemonade. It was ok but it was not fitting to my palate. I also tasted the Blue Lagoon which was much more pleasing. I will order that one next time. There is a plenty of outdoor seating which made for a rather relaxing evening ambiance. If you're looking for a lakeside, outdoor seating, evening dinner location; this is definitely the place to be on a Monday night!
I had the double cut pork chop and OMG it was the best pork chop I have ever had. It was tender and juicy. I am extremely picky so that says a lot. The pork chop is huge I took 2/3rds of it home. My husbands shrimp however was over cooked and chewy but his fish was cooked perfect. The live entertainment was excellent. Would definitely drive 2 hours to eat here again and enjoy the entertainment. The waitress was excellent. All the staff was very friendly.
Had a day trip to look at some houses nearby with a friend of mine. It was chilly outside but the warmers kept us comfortable. Food was good and the atmosphere was fun. There is a playground for the kids and the deck is dog friendly. I will definitely stop by again if I am in the Conroe area.
The environment is great. The view, the live music ( when they have it) and the tv for game days! The food was great. For starters we got the blooming onion and cheese sticks both came out crispy and fresh. The main meals consist of salad, wraps and burgers. Nothing to complain about! Flavor, quality and delivery all great. The playground could use some updates such as the repairs( we saw the caution tape). Saw that they have a dog mini park which is adorable! We didn’t have our dogs but it’s good for those who had dogs there! Our waitress was on point. She answered questions, always checked on us and proactive with the clean up and drinks etc! We sat outside on a nice day! Their outside seating was huge! Many TVs, some bars and a huge fire pit!
When we arrived the parking lot was packed, yet we were immediately greeted & seated! Our waitress Addell, was absolutely remarkable from start to finish! She was attentive during the entire visit, always making sure we were good! The food was absolutely delicious, and looked just as it did on the menu pictures. The portions were huge, and everything was cooked to perfection. Let's just say we've found our new favorite restaurant, close to home! I highly recommend it, it'll definitely become your new favorite place.
Started with the giant calamari; it was crispy and tender, not chewy at all. The burger was delicious and filling (i could only eat about 1/4 of it before getting full). The salmon was delicious and not dry.
Amazing atmosphere. Nice live music. Excelent food. Wonderful service but mostly a incredible lake view. I enjoy so much that day,you can even go on the boardwalk and take nice pictures. I recomend this restaurant 200%.
This place was absolutely delicious! Probably can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! They also have a puppy menu! Cutest thing ever. Rachel was our server— very personable & did a great job. Kept our drinks filled. Checked on us often. Thanks, Rachel!!
We had the best dinner ever with Abbie. She made the night so much fun! The views were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Highlights: the sampler appetizer (those boudin balls & mozzarella sticks were AMAZING), Shrimp on the Barbie with sweet potato fries, and the Fried Fish Entree. Don’t skip the cookie skillet dessert! Ask for Abbie, you won’t be disappointed!
this was actually really enjoyable even alone. the water front, the music... if i was there with someone i would have been annoyed trying to talk over the music but being alone i was able to soak in the whole tropic feel. and the little huts off to the side where the park is... wonderful. the burger was good and they even gave me a fly repellent gadget.
The reviews on Conroe Lake House were pretty good so we decided to try this indoor/outdoor restaurant for my birthday. Outdoor area had fans blowing, plenty of tables to enjoy the lake view, live music, and food. They also have a patio where you play corn hole and a play area for kids. Indoor also had dining tables, restaurants and a bar. Service was friendly, prices were reasonable and food was really good! For appetizers. we ordered the Cheese sticks, Boudin Egg Rlolls and Blooming Onion...let's say they didn't last long on the table! I ordered the Cheeseburger with Bacon. Delicious, big and juicy! Also ordered at the table was the Fish Tacos, Shrimp Kabobs, Grilled Cheese, Wings, Spicy Chicken Sandwhich and the Seafood platter. Everyone enjoyed their meal with the exception of the Seafood Platter. It was too crispy and the tarter sauce was too sweet. I will definitely be coming back!
Great Spot for Groups We visited on a Friday evening and enjoyed the lake view and live music. Staff was friendly, bathrooms were clean, and the outdoor seating with fans was perfect. The food was just okay, but it’s a nice place for families and big groups with plenty of space and a playground for kids.
Atmosphere is fun, live music and great view. Overlooking the lake and docks, outdoor day does not end better! Service: everyone was so helpful, friendly and prompt. Anything they needed, they were happy to do it. Food: Ordered 3 shrimp tacos and a boil bag. Expected the tacos to be like everywhere else. They were not! So fresh, warm and the cabbage was crunchy. Their chimichuri sauce or whatever it was on top was amazing! The boil was so good, we ordered another bag. If you don’t stop, your loss! Also, parking lot was full, but we walked right in and food came fast. Thanks for having us.
Absolutely loved this place! The lakeside setting was breathtaking—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing evening. There was live music playing that added just the right touch of atmosphere without being overpowering. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. When we ordered our first round of drinks and didn’t love the taste, they happily swapped them out for something else we enjoyed, no questions asked. What made it even more fun was the jet ski rental spot right next to the restaurant—such a cool addition if you’re looking for a bit of adventure before or after your meal. All in all, a fantastic experience. Can’t wait to come back!

Loved eating by the Lake. Food was good just way to much grease with the taco's it made it suck later because of all the grease. It poured out of it. Husband said the burger was really good.
We went in on a busy Saturday and was seated inside quickly. Our waitress was great and did a good job our entire stay and we were warned they were so busy our food may take an hour. Two of us had crawfish and the other two had fried whitefish. The Crawfish was pretty good and the white fish was okay. The two white fish plates were delivered in about 30 minutes and the Crawfish was delivered in about 90 minutes. So the kitchen is either undersized or understaffed. But like I said, it was very busy. Almost every table inside and out was full.

I was here in the early winter with two girlfriends to watch the live music. We had a great time, but I wasn’t impressed with the food. I wanted to give it another try so this time (4th of July week) I came with my spouse & his buddy visiting from Boerne, Tx. The atmosphere is nice & relaxing with expansive view of the lake, the 🛥️ and 🦆 over the fence being fed by children. Our server was attentive and conversant. The burger & tacos were okay, again nothing spectacular. Now, the ugly truth! Flies, flies, flies. We were constantly waving our hands and I’ve covered my drink & food with lots of napkin. I asked the server for a small fan if they, no but they have fly swatter she said. I removed the plates on the countertop (bar area) soon as we’re finished eating and the flies went away. The server saw me so she eventually took the dishes away. Come here for the view and live music and sit away from the fence.
This is a must visit place but bring your own drinks and to go boxes because the service is horrible, hence the 4 star rating. We drove 2 hours the check this place out and here we go. Starting with it took forever for our waitress to get our drink order to food coming out cold I could only expect cause our waitress didn't care. Even cold ( did not send back cause again we were the for lunch not a entire day visit. ) the food was great. The chips, salsa, and queso was really good. The queso didn't harden by the time you get to the bottom of the bowl and the salsa had a heavy lime flavor but was delicious. I really wanted to order a couple of adult beverages but I was in fear we would never get it kind of like our asked for 2 times coke refill. The brisket grilled cheese was packed with flavor the meat was smoked perfectly I couldn't have done it better myself! The frys on the other hand not so much... I got the appetizer sampler because everything on there i wanted to try. The fried pickles were not the best and I left those. The boudin egg rolls OMG super surprised how good those are. The brisket Nachos with no pico were hands down better than any BBQ place we have ever been to. That's right Killens you have no idea on good brisket when these guys are cooking. The mozzorella sticks were perfectly cooked as well and all the dipping sauces were beyond ordinary. We will return but hopefully get a waitress that is attentive and dosent forget she has a table to be serviced.

Food was ok. Our table had shrimp tacos, brisket tacos, pork chop and a burger. There was nothing to complain about but also nothing to rave about. It was music bingo night and they felt we were all hard of hearing as they played the music at a volume that made any conversation impossible.
The from hostess was the worse I ever had, was kind of rude, she didn’t sent waiters I have to call one, she was nice provide a good service, food was good. Atmosphere was nice view overall. However hostess should be more polite with customers and have a better customer service.
We stopped here on a rainy day after flooding in the area forced us to change plans. The restaurant wasn’t busy at the time, and the waterfront views were nice—even on a gloomy day. I can imagine it being much more enjoyable on a clear day, especially with the outdoor seating and live music they offer. There was no wait. One downside was the noise level. Even without a crowd, it was extremely loud and made conversation difficult. Seating felt tight as well—tables are small and better suited for groups of two to three, maybe four at most. Larger groups feel cramped. Service was okay, and plating was decent, though not standout. The bathrooms appear to be newly remodeled, but they are still very small. Given the location right on the water, I can understand why reservations might be necessary during peak times. The setup is convenient for boaters and those spending the day on the water. The food was good but nothing particularly memorable. If you’re local or already in the area, it’s a fine option, but it’s not somewhere I’d go out of my way to visit. We would return if we were nearby—preferably on a nicer weather day. Considering this is a recreational, waterfront community spot, adding more kid-friendly options would be a great improvement and could enhance the overall experience for families.

Me and three other people came here there’s a nice outdoor area for kids but besides that it wasn’t a great experience. We order two appetizers the calamari was great but the chips and queso came out cold. We got our side salad before appetizers even came out and proceeded to wait over 20 minutes for the appetizers. My husband and his two friends had his food come out around 5 minutes after appetizers and their French fries were cold. I had to wait another 10 minutes for my shrimp and crab. I paid around $25 for 1/2 of shrimp and a snow crab cluster the cluster had ever leg except the claw which is my favorite part. The seasoning was good but that’s about it. Our guest asked for salt when their food came and it was never brought to us. The manager did handle it with grace and proceeded to give us a discount after I said it was ok I just wanted to bring it to his attention. We still tipped 20% but will definitely not be coming back. For the service and food to be so slow on a Monday , I could only imagine a weekend.

This place has some of the worst service i have ever received in my life. Food was absolutely cold after waiting over an hour for it. I ordered chips and queso and the cheese was so cold it was hard. Bland seasoning— burger had little to no seasoning at all. Only seasoned for looks , NO flavor.
