Enjoyed the spicy tangy scallops with vegetables. Just spicy enough for good flavor without being overwhelming. Our server was excellent and friendly. Lovely interior with mostly booths and a bar inside, there is a small patio. The walnut shrimp is a favorite for anyone new I've brought to Wasabi. Recently I tried the Singapore noodles, comes with beef, chicken, and shrimp- enjoyed the glass noodles and spicy flavor. I added the seaweed salad as a starter, and loved it.
My wife and I had a delightful lunch date here at Wasabi Bistro today. The restaurant was very clean, service was great and the sushi was amazing. I was pleasantly surprised to find a great sushi place close by. The others we have tried locally are not very good and we normal drive all the way to the front of the woodlands. So glad we tried a new place today it will be are go to for now on. It was very hard to pick just two of there specialty rolls, they all sounded good. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu, as the seemed to have some great lunch items and the Bento box's that I saw also looked good. 👌
We came here mid-afternoon on 2/19/24 for my grandson’s 11th birthday (he loves sushi). The experience was exceptional. Everything—the waitstaff, the food, the ambience — was excellent. The dessert was delicious. What put it over the top was the individual attention we received from Andrew. And the man (don’t know his name) who handed my other grandson a round light toy that fascinated him and held his attention. That kindness and friendliness is something all too often missing in many restaurants. So is the attention to detail. We had a wonderful experience here. This is an excellent restaurant!
Came here on my way through town and I had a feast for lunch with my wife. I am so glad we stopped here, and next time we are even slightly nearby, we will return here. The salmon roe was fresh, and the main reason we came here. All of the sushi was excellent. Service was also top notch, and the place is extremely clean and well-kept.
My husband and I have loved Wasabi Bistro ever since it opened here in the Woodforest Area! It is our go-to sushi spot. We have tried lots of different things on the menu and everything is delicious. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!
We always have an amazing experience here. Today Melissa provided excellent service! She was very kind and attentive. Best service we’ve had in a long time. Thank you, Melissa! ☺️
Wasabi is one of our favorite restaurants. We go there almost every Sunday evening for the all-day happy hour. The food is good, service is fast, and we always feel welcome.
My boyfriend and I go to Wasabi Bistro every Sunday. The owner Kate knows our names (even when we call on the phone) and makes it a point to say hello to us every time. We have never had a bad experience. The food is always delicious and hot. The place is really clean and welcoming. All the staff are really kind and wonderful. There are many options on the menu too. We look forward to coming here very week :)
We have been patrons of Wasabi for 2 years since moving to Woodforest. The food and service are always top notch. The owners know us and never fail to impress! Highly recommend.
I came all the way from Missouri City to The Woodlands to Wasabi Bistro. This is by far the best Asian and Sushi food ever. Logan and Ryan are awesome. Will be back soon.
Amazing food, flavorful, tasty, plentiful. Love the owners. Try the crab cucumber salad. Yum!
Our Server, Ryan, was friendly & very attentive. Spicy garlic edamame is a must every time and the Sushi rolls were outstanding! My go-to, the house yakiudon, did not disappoint either! 😋
Every single time we've been, the staff is incredibly friendly! Especially to my girls. The Chinese food is fantastic! We do orders to go as we live right around the corner and it's amazing takeout! Noodles and rice are family favorites but we've tried many Chinese meals and they're all awesome!
Ella was an excellent server! We came up from San Antonio to visit family and decided to try this place. The food and the service is everything we’ve heard! Ella was our host and was very kind and attentive. Good sense of humor and had perfect recommendations.(She even saved our leftovers when we forgot them and had to came back…but the 12+ mins to pick up leftovers was worth it…! LOL! We will come back and ask for Ella next time!
Always a great experience from the wait staff to chefs. Kay does an amazing job of making sure everything meets the customer’s satisfactions. I have been coming here since it has opened and have enjoyed every dish I have tried and am currently in love with the salt and pepper and volcano shrimp, I highly recommend trying them. So if your interested in experiencing great food and service you won’t be disappointed
I just had another fantastic meal at Wasabi Bistro in the heart of the Woodforest community in Montgomery, and I can’t stop raving about it. This place has quickly become my go-to for consistently delicious food and a genuinely enjoyable dining experience. First off, the location couldn’t be more convenient. Whether you live in Woodforest or you're just in the Montgomery area, it’s an easy spot to get to. As soon as you walk in, the vibe is just right: modern, clean, and inviting. It feels elevated enough for date night or a celebratory dinner, but still relaxed and comfortable for a casual sushi fix on a random Tuesday. There’s a warm, friendly energy that makes you feel right at home. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely incredible. The sushi is always fresh, beautifully plated, and generously portioned. I’ve sampled quite a few rolls, and their signature ones—like the Volcano Roll—never disappoint. The flavors are balanced, the ingredients are top-notch, and you can tell a lot of care goes into every dish. And it's not just sushi. The Thai side of the menu is equally impressive. Their Pad Thai is hands-down one of the best I’ve had in the area—bright, tangy, perfectly sauced, and bursting with flavor. The Drunken Noodles and curry dishes are equally delicious. It’s rare to find a spot that excels at both Japanese and Thai cuisine, but somehow Wasabi Bistro pulls it off. What really keeps me coming back—beyond the food—is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They remember regulars (which I guess I am now!) and are always happy to make recommendations or chat about the menu. Whether I’m popping in for a quick lunch at the sushi bar or settling in for a slower dinner out on the patio, I always feel taken care of. And the value? Totally on point. The quality of the ingredients and the consistency in execution more than justify the prices. Every meal feels like money well spent. Honestly, Wasabi Bistro checks every box: amazing and diverse food, great atmosphere, attentive service, and a prime location. Whether I’m craving fresh sushi or something spicy from the Thai menu, I know I’m in for a great meal. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out. This place is absolutely worth the drive—every single time. I’ll be back again soon… probably way too soon.
I absolutely love this place! We ordered 4 rolls and they came on one plate arranged so beautifully! The freshness and flavors are out of this world. Service is impeccable. Great atmosphere and very clean. We'll be back!
Me and the ole lady try to make it here once every 1-2 weeks, it’s our go to for any asian/chinese food. Super good food and the staff is all very friendly. It’s hardly busy and we can choose where to sit. Our favorites: Shaggy dog roll Texas Express Roll Lobster Roll ANY fried rice Crab puffs
We were looking for a restaurant we hadn't been to before and were craving Asian cuisine. We decided to try this restaurant and boy were we delighted! The waitress was so sweet and helpful with the menu as we also wanted to try a sushi but it's not our forte. We were also so kindly greeted with what we believe was the owner. Everyone made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere is so cute and cheerful and the food was fantastic. We will certainly be back. We highly recommend for multiple reasons. I don't typically do reviews unless I'm highly impressed.
I tried the beef bento box with noodles vs rice this time. It was delicious. You have get there before 3pm to order it during the week. It is a lunch special. The staff is always friendly and helpful! The owners Kay and Jackie have always been helpful, kind, and friendly.
Nina was an amazing server even boxed our food up for us at the end of our meal. She made our visit amazing. The food here is amazingly good I mean the chef in the back deserves a high five. Our food we ordered out came out so we'll we didn't even know fried rice could be so good. Just the slight and simple details were so perfected it was just insane.
My favorite is the orange chicken, fried rice and miso soup lunch special which comes with an eggroll and miso soup. When I get it it's always piping hot (have to let it cool off for a few minutes!) and everything is absolutely delicious. The miso soup is packed with seaweed tofu and onions and ultra hot. Best orange chicken I've ever had, love how the sauce is citrus-y and fresh. My family has never had a bad experience here even slightly. Also the staff is friendly and courteous. Thank you Wasabi!

Ryan was a wonderful server. We enjoyed our lunch celebrating Ian’s 8th Birthday!!
I really enjoyed the food. I mean it really went beyond my expectations and I got before and after photos of it and dang it was awesome.
Fresh well seasoned and prepared dishes. The service was warm and friendly. This wonderful gem is added to my repeat places.
One of our favorite places to go. The spicy edamame is to amazing as well all the other but the sauce on the edamame is amazing. I get a side of it and put it on my food or dip my food in it.
Our first time to visit Wasabi Bistro, and it won't be our last. The owner, Kate, waited on us, and was very pleasant and friendly. I like to joke and kid with people, and Kate can hold her own. She laughed and joked right back. A sweet lady she is. That said, the atmosphere, food, and service was top notch. Best Wonton Soup I've ever tasted. Great General Tso's Chicken. Great Sushi.

Stopped in for an afternoon meal with my daughter. Kids are sometimes difficult when it come to food, so when she recommended this place I didn't hesitate to visit. We didn't get to fancy with the food selections but they have plenty of options for sushi rolls.
This is a good sushi joint! The sushi is tasty and fresh. I've had better but for this price you can't beat it. The atmosphere Is very calm and pleasant. There's a really cool painting all around the ceiling area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It was really nice to see the owner/manager talking to everyone and knowing people's names ( I'm sure they are regulars) but it's still super nice to see friendly restaurant interactions.
We came for lunch on a weekday. Very nice, clean friendly staff. Most importantly very good food, but with 1 substantial issue. Appetizers were great; tempura is fried perfect, gyoza were nicely browned. Lunch bento were a great variety for the kids. I got the chirashi and here is where the issue was - the rice. With an Asian upbringing we take rice seriously, different grains for different purposes and dishes. For sushi, you'd expect short grain sticky rice, that holds together. As opposed to a Chinese long grain where the grains, purposefully, separate from each other. My chirashi was made especially difficult to eat because I should be able to get a piece of fish, a clump of rice and it holds together - unfortunately, this was not the case (-1 star). Becsuse I was there lunch, we didn't try any nigiri, but I'm hopeful the rice holds together. Perhaps the wrong rice was scooped into the chirashi bowl, and this is just a one off issue. That said, everything was delicious and I would return. If I find that this was just an isolated issue I'll update the review.
A great fresh tasting sushi spot within the market shopping area. Went for lunch to find it not busy, was greeted right area and served my lunch in a decent time. Friendly staff, clean restaurant and cozy atmosphere.
Hubby and I tried Wasabi Bistro for lunch while visiting the area on a freezing Wednesday. Our waitress, Emma, was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. She was well-versed and helpful on menu items and removed plates as they emptied. We enjoyed 2 lunch specials (which come with soup & salad), some sushi, a hot tea and a coke. Menu items were the Tuna & Salmon Combo (3 pcs each); The Sushi lunch (6pc. assorted combo); Unagi Sushi and a Hot Mama. The Sushi was fresh and tasty but the Hot Mama was my favorite. It was warm, crispy, creamy, shrimpy, crabby goodness...O-M-G!! Next time I will not share this! The salad was fresh and ginger dressing good. Could have used a little more dressing. The Miso soup had plenty of tofu and seaweed but was weak in flavor. The restaurant was freezing - probably due to the very high ceilings. In the summer, this would be great! We enjoyed everything and will be back to try other goodies on the extensive menu.
The food was good. Me and my wife are regulars at the Wasabi Bistro in Conroe (449 Loop 336). The Wasabi in Conroe is way way better. Not saying that the Woodforest location is not good. It was good but the Conroe location is the best Asian food I have ever had and this location is just good. This location prices are way to high as well.

We’re ordered Tonkotsu Ramen, Kangpao Beef and California Roll the food was okay fresh and tasty
The taste of the food is great, no issues there! A few things that bother me….and probably means I won’t come back, they charged me for sides of ponzu and siracha sauce, I just think that’s crazy when I’m spending $100+ on the bill. The kids drink was $4, little steep when the beer was $5 😬 Also, the food is high priced, $14-15/roll and the mochi ice cream dessert was $8, ouch!
We love sushi... and this just wasn't good. We had gone 14 months ago and had to stop eating a sashimi as it wasn't fresh... Today we decided to give them another try...Ahi Tower didn't seem fresh, hibachi chicken bland, spicy edamame not spicy, gyozav not great... overall we regretted the meal. We went as our usual sushi place closes on Mondays...
Ordered take-out. The generals chicken doesn't use the classic sauce, they put jalapeños in it. The chicken was also very poor quality, like McDonald's nuggets are better. The hot and sour soup tasted like just black pepper. I didn't try any sushi but definitely would not recommend anything heated.
We ate there on 9/19/2024. Food quality and taste were all subpar. Let me start with the fried rice. It was a brown, gooey mess that was old and reheated. The egg drop soup was tastless and overly thickened with the consistency of a heavy syrup. The General Tso chicken was basically inedible with a thick, tastless sauce and stringey tough chicken. We also had crab claws and sweet and sour chicken which were all of poor quality.
My takeout took 45 minutes. Just for soup and rotten sushi. So disappointed
My friends and I went here on a girls night out the miso soup had no tofu or seaweed which equated to being served warm water. The calamari were chewy and looked like soggy leftover onion rings. My friend and I both ordered a shaggy roll, my friend’s roll was fine but mine looked sloppy and tasted awful. I sent mine back telling the waiter I didn’t like it. This is when the manager came over to harass us, she insisted the restaurant did nothing wrong and that it was my fault for not liking it. The manager left and sent the kind waiter to tell us that despite practically sending the entire roll back we would have to pay for it because it was my fault I didn’t like it. I told the waiter that I would not be paying for something that we did not eat. The manager came back around to further harass us. I told her we were not here to fight with her and informed her that we just had a negative dining experience. Nevertheless, she kept defensively ranting, insisting on having the last word. I did eventually get my roll comped but it wasn’t before hearing the manager tell me it was my fault for not liking the sloppy and poorly made roll.

One star because I’m a 3rd party food delivery driver waiting on food. I asked if I could use the restroom and where it was at and they said you have to be a customer…. I’ve never had that happen so it threw me off guard but… it’s slow in here. That’s wild. It’s a toilet get over yourself the girl was blonde with a short pixie cut that said I couldn’t.
Food was okay. The reasoning behind my review was because of sanitation!!! The owner was coughing up an absolute storm walking from the front desk to the kitchen not even covering his mouth! The servers looked embarrassed and even asked if he needed to drink water. He didn’t care, we even asked the servers if he needed to go home!! This went on the entire time we were there so about an hour? Better yet, now my 1 year old has Croup!! Don’t know if that’s related but nonetheless, it was disgusting. No respect for your customers deserves you no business!
