Opinions de J and B Restaurant Staten Island
It's been awhile since traveling north and visited friends in New Jersey and New York for several days! My first night wanted something quick and tasty! This pizza was it. Customer service and cleanliness are priorities for me. The slices are huge!
4.8 Stars. This is a slice that will make you want to go back for another. Excellent mix of cheese and sauce. Not too greasy or too dry.A little heavy on the salt, but the sauce has good flavor. Tasty, chewy thin crust. Easily worth the $2.50 price. Cut down on the salt, add a little more of the other spices instead and it'll be a five-star slice.

I see a lot of bad reviews for this place complaining about the price, but nobody is noting that this pizza is not sweet. A lot of pizza places with "cheap" pizza have been stretching their ingredients with high fructose corn syrup and the result is a SWEET pizza instead of savory. I won't name other restaurants that do this, but it's a trend now. This place does NOT, the pizza is savory as it should be, the crust is thick and firm, a solid NYC slice of regular. I went during an off-hour so it was near empty but the service was spectacular. Yes, a slice is $3 and a pie is $20, but at least they make ACTUAL pizza.
I honestly do not understand how this place has negative reviews. I moved to this trash heap we call Staten Island like 10 years ago. And tbh moving from Brooklyn, I didn’t really like the island but by divine decree I was destined to move close enough to this pizzeria that I could walk here in 5 minutes. Every single time I come in, even if it’s new staff they always make me feel welcomed. The vibe is ode friendly and they always got the best tasting pizza. Arguably the best pizza in NY in my honest opinion. I feel like I can make that statement seeing as how Pizza is my go to guilty please 6/7 days of the week. I can’t believe I’m actually writing a review. I’ve never written or commented on any place but I just pulled up their number since I switched phones and didn’t have it saved anymore, and saw the belove 4.9 rating like excuse me. Y’all must have nasty burnt taste buds and lead miserable lives if you got the energy to COMPLAIN about this place. We do live on the most hated borough which also voted mostly red, so the environment was bound to contain Karen’s and Kevin’s I guess. But anyway, if you’re nearby, definitely try their pizza out.
Fantastic pizza. I just moved to Staten island from Brooklyn. I spent the past month looking for that familiar Brooklyn pizza tastes. Finally found it. I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews. Pizza was delicious, had a nice crunch, and a perfect cheese pull. All around best pizza I've had in Staten Island and even better than most pizzerias in Brooklyn
Super yummy pizza! Has great food, seating, and good vibe. Awesome authentic Italian food! I never order delivery so I don't know about their service but every time I go in the there the food is on point! I'd also love some stuffed mushrooms on the menu!
I’ve been sick and craving pizza & tonight my husband ordered a pie & salad from J & B Pizzeria. I can’t believe how delicious it was cooked exactly how we asked. YUMMMMMMM The salad was large fresh & tasty. Thank you J & B very close to being thee best pizza we have ever had! If not the best!

Love the Sicilian and buffalo chicken slices, the rice balls were good at one point but seem to have gotten cheap. Great lunch menus too. The specials has changed and again seems to have gotten cheap with their selection. Rather order from their selection then to other the pies freshly made, what they have at the counter seem to be much more desirable. Overall a good spot for lunch and maybe dinner

This is the pizzeria that someone mentioned as they were judging me for buying 2/$2 pizza slices from the nearby 7-Eleven. (I was hungry and that was all my budget for that day could afford.) “Some of the best pizza right over there,” was what Mr. Judgement said, referring to J&B Pizzeria. In my opinion (eating a straight up regular cheese slice), it’s good but not great pizza. I believe a high quality and distinctive sauce puts a pizza in the upper echelon. The sauce on this pizza kind of just blended in; the slice was carried more by the cheese. Very good amount of cheese; I was reminded of a classic greasy NYC slice. 3 out of 5 stars. Doesn’t qualify as “best” for me. I would probably enjoy slice more with some seasoning added. The crust is just a handle. The mark of super elite pizza is if you willingly eat crust. So many pizzerias have trash cans full of white paper plates & pizza crust. Final Answer: Way better than 7-Eleven, obviously. Price was fair ($3 and change per regular slice). I would eat again if in the area and wanting pizza, but wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

Place use to be very good has seemed to go down hill recently pizza in store by the slice is still good if getting it straight from the oven and eating it good luck if you ordered delivery it's a shame this place use to be excellent but it just shows what poor management and employees who don't care will do to a place

I purchased food from this establishment numerous times. Same order, same time same house. The price is never the same. They charge you $3.00 extra for a half slice of Italian bread. The straw that broke the camels back is when I order my kids slices of pizza only to get them home and open the box to 4 rock hard burnt slices of cardboard!! I’ll never ever go to this place again!!!
over priced pizza $22.oo for a small personal Pepperoni pie extremely rip off I pay 10.00 every ware else don't recommend this place complete rip off not even a good pizzas
This is now the third time we have ordered from jandb they used to be good every since they got new people the food has been garbage the pie for my kids was watery the cheese off the pizza even though we asked for crispy. The delivery driver pulled it out side ways from the bag so the pie almost fell out. The pasta under cooked garlic nots wasn’t cooked fully. My husband got sick from the chicken. I used to love this place but they have officially lost me as a customer and I don’t suggest eating here.
Taste like the $1 slice spots. Chicken parmigiana not much better.

The pizza was good before the renovation. Now the quality is bad and not worth it.
$15.75 for 1 regular cheese slice and 1 order of mozzarella sticks(7 sticks) I was dumb enough to pay so much for so little. Then to find that the pizza was OK and the mozzarella sticks were store bought!!! They didn't even make it themselves!!!!! I'm only one person, but it's definitely my First and last time here.
Incompetent staff at best. I placed an order for a cheese pie with 2 of the slices with chicken toppings. I was charged and sent 1 pie with 2 extra slices on the side with chicken toppings. Essentially overcharged for an order taken incorrectly. As a family who orders from this establishment at least 1 time a week for the past 5 years, the phone attendant was unwilling to credit me. Her solution was to send the entire order back so she can add the chicken topping and rerun my credit card. Adding another 40 mins to this food ordeal. I asked for a manager and was told the manager hasn’t been there and will not be there. The phone attendant was also unwilling to provide her name. I will not order from here again due to a very poor customer service experience.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! VERRRYYYY RUDE STAFF!!!! First thing is first, I buy from them every week. I’ve given them a lot of money. I’ve noticed their being rude in the past but I just ignored it. But this situation really grinds my gears. So I ordered a chicken Park for delivery the other day. It came in NOT completely cooked, soggy. Falling apart. I called up to tell them about it. They said they are closing so they’d give me a free one next time. Tonight is the “next time”. They agreed to give it to me for free, but wants to charge me $10 for delivery. Which is insane because they would have brought it to me for free last time because they originally gave me uncooked meat. I wasn’t aware they were going to charge me $10 so I added wings to my order so they didn’t have to run out here and not make money. My order was $4 short for delivery. They refused to bring it unless I order more food. THEY GAVE ME UNCOOKED MEAT!!!! REDEEM YOURSELVES!!!! I asked for the manager, they said she’s not there, when I asked for her to call me back, the lady said “hold on”. I hear laughing in the background. All of a sudden the manager comes of the phone and says she was standing there and heard the whole thing. I finally spoke to the manager who was SOOOO RUDE, lied to me on the phone. I couldn’t even tell her what happened. She told me I need to stop, and they weren’t bringing it unless I give them more money. I will NEVER COME BACK AND ORDER FROM THEM!!!! STUPID BUSINESS MOVE!!!
I don’t know. I wouldn’t highly recommend it. The pizza tasted like they got it from behind the glass but never reheated it in the oven... It’s also an unsanitary pizzeria because I’ve heard that one of the employees was making a pizza, sneezed in his hands then continued making the pizza w/o washing his hands... And I feel like I have a sore throat right now after eating that dry pizza.. plus I had to wait over a half an hour for the delivery cause they were “waiting” for the driver.. and the pizza was cold? you ain’t getting my tip!
The worst place ever to order from!! Pizza and my sandwichs came ice cold. The hero had 1 piece of chicken cutle that was smaller then a kids meal and the pizza was ice cold. So I Called the store and they said it's a new driver and he maybe got lost. The girl who answered the phone (really rude and nasty) put me on hold I stayed on hold 20 minutes hung up called again same person answered and said please hold was on hold 15 minutes hung up called again same thing again but this time I hung up. I called from my fiancé phone and guess what they answer and actually talk to him. By this time I am beyond pissed and he asked for a boss. The boss blames the pizza being cold on us. Told us there nothing he can do and hung up. I recommend that no one goes there.
