Mmhmmm. This is a great spot. Decided to try it for lunch today. Had a 2-roll lunch special (Spicy Tuna and Salmon Avocado) that was tasty and fresh. Very pleasant and fast service rounded out a great lunchtime experience. I imagine it would be for dinner as well.

I ordered miso soup, steamed vegetable dumplings and a vegetarian stir fried noodles. All the dishes were delivered with care and on time. The food temperature was just right. The portions are enough for 2 meals. All the dishes tasted great.

Sushi Wen is by far one of the best sushi places ever! The service is the best in the world, and the food is excellent! The atmosphere is nice. Just like your local neighborhood sushi place, but much better! And, when you come from 11AM to 330PM, you can get the lunch special deal!

Very good spot! I had a Bento box, sushi roll, and tempura cheesecake, all of which were excellent (I would go back just for the cheesecake!). It was mid week in the early afternoon, so not too busy. But the service was quick, friendly, and professional. Would go again!

My wife and I were looking for a good sushi spot to go to on the island after we moved here from Queens and we were so happy to have discovered this spot. It's not far from our house, there's no parking lot but there's usually street parking across from the restaurant. We've been here a few times now, and every time we've had a great experience. I would highly suggest the spicy edamame, and anything with shrimp tempura in it.

My father and I went there for lunch today. The sushi was amazing and tasted so fresh and my dad loved his steak with udon noodles. The waitress was very nice and attentive. When we paid the owner was very nice and conversing with my dad about the Bronx. We will definitely be going back.

The quality of the food is consistently excellent. I wonder how they make the chicken katsu so buttery soft.The bento boxes are plentiful. But more than just the comestible experience, waitress Bing Bing is simply one of the best servers on Staten Island. She makes every dining experience a pleasure.

We came here just accidentally, but would definitely come again. Fish was super fresh and just melting in the mouth! I would say their rolls are not the most accurately made ones, but freshness and quality of the fish compensates for all of that. Would recommend ordering set for two - beautifully decorated and a lot of fish to try.

Take out was great! The fish was still fresh and their miso soup had tofu in it which is a major plus for me. Delivery came really fast on a Friday night. I highly recommend this place and will look forward to ordering more take out!

Went there for my husband's bday with the kids, the place is tucked in and hard to notice but it has now become our favorite sushi spot to go to. The food was fresh and all the plates were delicious. We had a sweetheart roll, spicey crunchy roll, shumai, edamame, fried rice and pad thai. It was the best we have had and we have been to numerous places. The service was also amazing. And their prices were great, not overpriced at all. Our server was extremely friendly and very attentive. Cant wait to go back and try there other plates.

Went here with my fiancé a week ago, everything was absolutely delicious! Excellent fresh sushi, pork gyoza and shrimp shumai were delicious and probably the best miso soup I’ve ever had. The waitress was very sweet as well.

Generally, the food is delicious. For instance, Spicy Tuna Roll, salmon, pineapple fried rice, and etc. The ingredients were fresh and a good amount. It’s an awesome restaurant to dine in Staten Island.

Absolute delight! I ate the Staten Island roll (minus the radish) and it was an explosion of alternating flavors in my mouth. My wife got the hibachi chicken. The chicken was so tender and juicy, juice literally exploded in my mouth when I bit into it.

I have always passed by this restaurant and I always day I will go but today was the first time I went and woww it lived up to my expectations. Is very clean, the place is so nice it feels so peaceful and the employees are very nice too. Food was amazing and so fresh! Also the service was very very fast!! It definitely became one of my favorite places, I regret not going there before !! I a 10000% recommend it!!!

After my son and I came from the Staten Island Zoo, which we only went to so we could justify travelling an hour to NYC for 🍣, let me say it did not disappoint. Sushi Wen is in my old neighborhood, West Brighton, at the corner of Oakland and Castleton Avenues. Growing up, this space was always occupied by Dr. Statopolous' office. They have changed it to a very nice eatery, with an unexpectedly nice atmosphere. The food was excellent, with competitive prices, looking at other sushi prices across SI. We had the Japanese fried rice, a few different rolls and a Bento box with Chicken and Shrimp teriyaki. All very fresh and flavorful. Glad this is in my old neighborhood. We will definitely return.

This is a fairly new place, but you wouldn't guess that based on the quality of everything. The whole atmosphere from the entrance to inside feels very relaxing and welcoming. The staff is very courteous and attentive. The food is excellent; fresh and flavorful, and of course fairly priced. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for some Sushi/Japanese food.

Stopped in after taking a walk at a nearby park and was so glad we did! This place is especially great from a value perspective - with standard sushi and sashimi combos and bentos costing $10-15 (and we came in on a a Saturday too!) Moreover, while the fish isn’t the best cut, it tasted good for its price point and was still fairly generous. We specifically ordered a sashimi combos and a hand roll that hit the spot as well as a salmon teriyaki combo, which was slightly overcooked but still a sizable filet. The place was also well designed and kept - loved the little wooden paintings as part of the design. Definitely would stop in again if ever in the area.

Went here after a beautiful day at the Chinese garden. The service was warm friendly and the food was absolutely delicious and filling. The appetizers, Miso soup and spicy ademame, nice!!!! Then came the stir fried Steak & Chicken Soba!!!!! Had to take a brief pause from to search for space for dessert!!!! I had ice cream and daughter had tempera cheesecake!!!!! BingBing and the other female waitress were both incredibly friendly, kind, and social! We came in very late but they accommodated us with no issues at all and even allowed us the option of ordering more food even as they were preparing to close up for the night, which we really appreciated! The rolls and mackerel sashimi were all very fresh and the food arrived quickly and was aesthetically pleasing. We will definitely come back next time to try their wide ranging selection of foods! One area of improvement is to add just a bit more of the lobster salad in the green tea roll, for the other ingredients easily overpowered the taste of the lobster. The space is now occupied by a superior Japanese restaurant called Sushi Wen. The prices are reasonable, delivery lightning fast and the food first rate. With my the demise of Bay House (Pan Asian), my favourite restaurant, I am glad to have Sushi Wen available. And FWIW Dr. Peter got a kick out of what happened to his old office. Probably the best sushi I’ve had on the island. We drove 25 minutes to try Sushi Wen and did not regret it! The sushi was fresh and delicious. The staff is super nice, and the service was very quick! Also reasonably priced with a wide variety of dishes. Not one complaint, definitely check them out!

Very nice place but the steak soba needes more work. The rest of the food was very good, one thing I will say the menu as it is very eye catching and cool it has way to much variety and its way to unclear to understand if they want there food to be as good as the restaurant the menu needs some cuts and more signiture dishes to much leaves the chef unable to master the dishes.

Placed order the day before! Should ‘ve been delivered at 11:30 am next day ! Well never happened! Received a call around 12:20pm saying they are late!🤯🤯🤯 canceled it ! But on the other hand there was a 5 borough bike tour thats why they were late ! But , come on 2hours ! Anyway at the end they were super apologetic , so i changed my ratings to 4stars!

2023.03 Ordered love boat for two, sushi and roll is smaller than normal. Taste ok. Reasonable price. Street parking. Not a big restaurant, abt 25 seats. Overall it is a regular Japanese restaurant.

Rolls were tiny & tasted fishy. I eat sushi very often and this is not that good. Spicy mayo is awful. Spring roll is absolutely disgusting. Best thing was the miso soup. Shrimp tempura was atrocious. California and salmon avocado roll wasn't bad. Driver complained that he drove 4 miles for delivery even tho his tip was 15% of our entire order and why would he complain if the restaurant agreed to deliver it to our address. Smh very disappointed. After writing this review they refunded our money right away and apologized. I really appreciated that. It says a lot when a business does that. They clearly cared enough about what I said and care about their customers getting their money's worth.

I am pleased with this establishment. I will go again when it is so busy. My service was rushed so I will try again at another time. Overall reasonable priced and good portions.

Delivery was quicker than I expected! Food was delicious and I will be ordering again in the future. The 10 person platter was very worth it but there was not a lot of rice in my sushi. Will go back to try specialty rolls.

They refuse to make any kind of special request accommodations a simple thing like adding onions or adding more chicken for an extra few dollars you’re always told no this is not the way to run a business if the cost is willing to pay for a few extra items, why not accommodate someone especially when they eat there so much I challenged anybody asked for anything extra simple as a vegetable on onion and you’ll be told no, I will not be ordering from this place any longer

Every time I've come here the food has been great, no qualms with that. Haven't been to Staten Island since I was a medical student at RUMC. All of the sudden they charged my credit card $40...after not having eaten here in half a year. Something shady is going on with this place.

Not accommodating to service animals Edit: Please do not lie. You did not ask either of the two permitted questions. While I recognized that you admitted fault you still demanded proof which is against the ADA. Following your unlawful demands with a denial of service by calming that seating was unavailable when there was more that an adequate amount of available accommodations in the requested format is a denial of service.

I was denied service because I have a service dog. I was asked for a certification card for my dog which is not a thing that exists. I was never asked the two questions they are supposed to ask. When I showed them the letter certifying my dog from the medical professional that helped with his training (which is illegal to ask for) They wanted to take a photo of it to "show to other customers who might ask about the dog" Then ultimately told me they had no booths available because they were all reserved despite the restaurant being completely empty. The owner was on the phone with the server at the time and kept asking for proof. They discriminate against people with disabilities. The whole time I tried to tell them what they were doing was wrong and to please read the ADA guidelines.
