Opinions de Huckleberry's Breakfast & Lunch Stockton
This was our first time eating at this restaurant. The food was very good. No waiting for a table. Customer service was excellent.
Very good breakfast and lunch menu. I ordered the huckleberry waffle and my husband ordered the fried catfish. Neither one of us could finish even half our plates. Only thing I would change next time is one order to split their very generous portions.
Kelly our server was great, very attentive!
Our waiter Ashleigh was amazing. She is so sweet beautiful soul inside and out definitely will be returning and asking for her to be our waiter again. Food and drinks 10/10
Always good food, big portions. Like the Cajun music overhead. Service was fantastic. She got me extra chili for my Omlette and gravy for my biscuit.
Heather was our server, and she was so sweet and amazing! It was our first time visiting this morning, and she was so kind to let us try the delicious beignets on the house!! OMG!! So good!! The Huckleberry tea was on point! The crab cake benedict was full of flavor and the spicy chicken sandwich was a hit! Everything we tried was truly flavorful and delicious!! Hands down would come here again! Thank you again to Heather!! She was a gem!!
We enjoyed the decor and quick service by Kamora. We started with beignets, very good but filling. My husband had a southern style omelette and I had grilled catfish over jambalaya with gumbo. It was great and we have enough left for another meal. We will definitely be returning!
We really enjoyed our meal. The service was nice. Attentive without being in our face. The food was good with reasonable portions and a good overall value. The atmosphere is fun and very comfortable. I had the combo with waffle, egg, and bacon. Next time I plan to try the Benedict scramble, so yeah I'll be back.
The Stockton 8 mile location was great. My experience was about 11ish am on a Monday. It was a slow brunch hour but still enjoyed my visit. Food was delicious with fresh ingredients. Service at the front to the table was welcoming and friendly. Time of seating to ordering and receiving food was about 20 min. Will most Def return.
Great food! Simple and delicious. Can't go wrong with the unlimited soup and salad. The tea is amazing!
I absolutely love the staff here. My son is on the autism spectrum and loves to eat breakfasts here. The staff is patient and accommodating. We're always meet with smiles.
Staff was Amazing.. So friendly with great food recommendations. Definitely can't wait to come back. Only thing I would like to see changed is there's no sweet tea kinda expected there would be with all that southern yumminess. Fried green tomatoes were excellent. Had crab cakes with eggs and hollandaise sauce. Excellent good. Great generous portion. No one was leaving there hungry.
I took my daughter and Granddaughter to have her birthday breakfast and the food was Delicious. We had Crapes, Stuffed French Toast and these little light weight puff pastry. We ordered the Strawberries, vanilla Cream, Huckleberry and Peaches for our topping and everything was Perfect And Yummy. I would recommend this place to go for breakfast 😋
I love this place the waiters are kind and respectful the food is above and beyond my compliments to the chef just stop reading and go eat at this place you won’t regret it
The Mississippi skillet was awesome. I definitely recommend it. The beignets was horrible, they are like NO beignets I have ever had. They were big hollow doughy, tasteless things. I definitely DO NOT, recommend them.
The food was very good. Our wait time was short. I had the chicken and waffle which was yummy! My husband had the breakfast burrito which he liked. I was thrilled that they had fried okra which is very hard to find! Will return for the fried okra.
Went the other day to try Huckleberry’s for breakfast and I must say they really know how to give u options for breakfast and lunch or early dinner omg. The staff is very courteous and helpful. From the start we had some amazing Huckleberry tea and strawberry lemonade with sugar rimmed mason jars with beignets as a appetizer and they came with 3 wonderful flavors to choose from. Light flakey and powdered perfectly with sugar. I ordered pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon and we also tried the Shrimp Po boy sandwich with chili cheese fries. Loved the garlic bread and crispy perfectly cooked and seasoned shrimp topped with lettuce and sauce. The chili was thick warm and delicious over crispy fries. They have a lot of Cajun style dishes to choose from and it all looks great. I can’t wait to go back and try more things off the menu.
I had to be in French Camp at 8:30 so I jumped off the freeway and landed smack dab in front of Huckleberry's Breakfast Restaurant...What luck! Three toothed McGoo and his hunched back daughter Molly can just wait an extra 15 minutes to get the Ronco Spine-O-Matic that I picked up in Malaysia some years back. The damn thing is banned in the US but I brought it in before all the hoopla surrounding it, and I'm pretty sure it'll be just right for Molly. I'll tell you...I've been to a lot of Huckleberry's, but I think this one is the best of all of them. My breakfast was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
Hey, Portions CRAZY, service Nice, just a reliable breakfast Atmosphere. Me and my fam go out of our way to come here. Honorable mention, THOSE DRINKS ARE YUM. the bloody and strawberry lemonade were as good as it gets. My family says “a jar of drink” lol Wish they’d care for their bathrooms more tbh
Another impressive breakfast spot we visited while visiting Stockton, CA. The amount of food you get for the price is unmatched. Being from Florida, we were not use to this. Highly recommended!
I came in a little late after leaving the dockers, but nonetheless, the staff were very hospitable and showed love, even though it was an hour from closing down for the day. Accidentally deleted the photos but I ordered the chicken fried steak. You could always tell a good southern food place.By their chicken fried steak, it was delicious and tinder, and not heavily salted like most places. I also had their chicken and waffles, which absolutely blew me away and let's talk about they're crack animation jar, also known as their huckleberry tea. That is phenomenal in drinking out of a mason jar.Ads that southern charm and touch. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a bayou which is a nice change of pace from the mundane restaurants. Because I ordered their virgin bloody mary and that thing was stacked up coming with bacon celery, pickles. Full of flavor. They have a huge selection of drinks and food. And the best part is, their prices are very reasonable.Considering this economy. I cannot recommend huckleberries enough. It is my new favorite restaurant
I had an amazing meal here today! The food was fresh and hot. There wasn't much of a wait and my server was amazing. I believe her name was Ashley, she was absolutely amazing and went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable! I will happily return!
First time eating at huckleberries and it did not disappoint. I asked to be seated at a booth and the server was kind to oblige. The food itself was delicious and so were the drinks. I say it’s a fair price for all the food you get and I did enjoy the bayou theme. I Would definitely recommend for a great breakfast or lunch experience.
I've been to Huckleberry's several times. It has normal American food with Cajun flavors and Cajun specific dishes. Very flavorful with a fun atmosphere.
Nice lively atmosphere. Good service, friendly on task waitresses. Reasonable cost, about the same as 'the others'-lol. I really enjoyed my fried chicken sandwich topped with coleslaw and pickles and the delightful swamp tea with huckleberries -yummy! The sweet potato fries were not so great as they were not crispy or flavorful but the regular fries were good. My sis enjoyed her steak sandwich, fries and lemonade. We both plan to go back with husbands.
This is a wow! When I found out about Huckleberry's me and my wife went there and I had no complaints. Food was how, delicious and the place was clean, service is outstanding. My favorite platter is Mississippi platter" you have to try it. The muffins came with the platter. The atmosphere was relaxing and room temperature was just right. This is a great spot for a breakfast date or brunch date with the misses or friends.
We stopped into Huckleberry’s on Trinity in Stockton on a Saturday morning around 8 a.m. and immediately felt like we’d made the right choice for breakfast. It wasn’t too busy yet, and we were warmly greeted by Ari, our hostess extraordinaire. Ari didn’t just lead us to our booth — she fearlessly navigated the bustling floor like a breakfast superhero, ensuring our safety and comfort until our server arrived. Enter Carmen, our server, who brought menus and drinks faster than you can say “beignets.” Speaking of which — yes, we ordered the beignets, and yes, they were that good. My nephew especially loved the huckleberry sauce; I’m pretty sure he would have taken a bottle home if it was an option. For the main event, I had eggs, fruit, and sausage with a side of biscuits and gravy — generous portions, great flavor, and everything cooked just right. My nephew had hot chocolate, pancakes, and bacon. The hot chocolate, he said, reminded him of his last trip to the Swiss Alps (his words, not mine). The pancakes were so perfectly round it felt like they’d been drawn with a compass, and he couldn’t stop talking about how good they were. Both Ari and Carmen kept checking in on us, making sure we were happy at this Louisiana-inspired spot. Their service was attentive without being pushy, friendly without being fake — exactly what you hope for at breakfast time. Bottom line: Huckleberry’s is a great spot for breakfast or lunch with a strong menu, hearty portions, and staff who truly go above and beyond. Ari and Carmen deserve a standing ovation (or at least a round of applause from everyone in the dining room). We’ll definitely be back!
Food was very delicious, large portions, affordable prices. Our waitress Ashley was superior, she did not rush us. She took our drinks orders right away. Loved it here, will definitely come back.
Our group ordered a Monte Cristo with fries, Spicy Bayou Chicken and Shrimp Poboy. The chicken was slightly dry. Recommend more sauce, but otherwise, the food was good. Service was great, provided by Letty! The atmosphere had a southern feel. Would like to see it a little more dramatic, but that's just me. Good experience. We'll be back!
Great selections, delicious food and awesome service. Loved the atmosphere. There's a wait sometimes but it's totally worth it. So happy that we've gotten some different cuisine in this area. Only breakfast and lunch is served. The restaurant closes at 3pm. Like their motto says... Southern food with some California flair. It's yummy!
Today, I ordered their shrimp omelet and a cup of black coffee that I enjoyed and plan on returning to whenever I stay on my yacht in Stockton and need a good breakfast!!!! They also have chicken and waffles it's a Louisiana theme restaurant but I wish they had chicken andouille sausage instead of pork!
The Banana Foster French Toast Platter comes with eggs of your choice, two fried green tomatoes with dipping sauce, choice of meat. It was fabulous. My first time having fried green tomatoes and I can see why people like them. The catfish tasted very fresh. Good service.
Delicious food. Waitresses are attentive. Plenty of parking. Been here a few times and the longest wait time has been 5 minutes.

Great food and very nice building but they need more staff. If you come here for lunch, you will wait to be seated for a long time. Plus the wait for the food, expect to be grumpy by the time you can eat. The one by HWY 99 also has a long wait time but they have lots of staff so food is not that long to be served. You will definitely go back for the beignets though 😅
So excited for the grand opening ing... stockon needed a win and this was it. Food was excellent, service was fantastic. We had friend green tomatoes to start and they didn't disappoint. Our waitress was friendly, and helped us mKe some great breakfast choices recommended her favorites which our now our favorites too. The wait was.a bit long, but trust me all worth it. The manager Patty was also fantastic. We will be back and have told all our friends about it too. Thank you huckleberry's for coming to Stockton. Five stars plus for service and food
My husband and I went here for lunch today. We both had stacked chicken and waffles. Mine was plain and although they say it has 2 chicken breasts they are mighty thin and lots of breading. The service was great tho!
Our family loves the grits, so please update the Doordash menu to include it in the delivery, as it is not there at all. Otherwise, we would order way more. Thanks!
Overall, pretty good. The pancakes were good and hash browns and smothered potatoes, but the chicken and fried green tomatoes could stand a little seasoning.
It's very sad that this place isn't open during the dinner rush. It's in a bad location to be breakfast/ lunch only. We were there during a "busy" time, and the place was empty. The food was ok at best. It was kinda bland. Their huckleberry tea is great. Our server was very cheerful and helpful.
Great place and friendly customer service. The food is pretty good, depending what you order and who the cook is. So, I haven't any issues.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We ordered to-go. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and fast. We ordered for three people and shared: 2 orders of Fried Green Tomatoes – crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned! The Ranch dressing that comes with it was so good. 2 Strawberry Lemonades – refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. 2 California Eggs Benedict – fresh, filling, and the hollandaise was spot on. Gold Medal Chicken and Waffles with Scrambled Eggs – a must-try! The chicken was juicy with a crispy coating, and the waffle was golden and fluffy. Everything was cooked just right and came out hot. The portions were generous, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We'll definitely be back!
The wait was a bit long. But other than that food was delicious, service was excellent. Very friendly people.
Visited from out of town on a recommendation. Love southern food and was curious as to how the food would compare to real southern food. It was good, but not comparable to actual Cajun. Had the catfish and it was good, but not great. The rice was cooked perfect, but not enough sausage. Fried green tomatoes were tasty, but overcooked a bit and not firm enough. Pancakes and eggs were fantastic however. Chicken and waffles walere also enjoyable and cooled to perfection. Service was speedy and staff was very helpful. Loved the layout and ambience and felt very comfy inside. Overall, good, and I would return to try other dishes.
Service was great. Food was great. The Crab cake breakfast was good, french toast breakfast was good.
Really neat inside the decorative theme. Food was good. We both had the Ribeye breakfast. Mine seemed like a NY strip or round steak maybe the meat vendor accidentally put a NY strip or round in their meat order 😂overall was a good breakfast. Biscuit was good, hash browns and coffee 👌
Food was decent and presentation was good and the service was great the only issue was my girls food was cold. We did not complain amd paid the bill. Only tip we left was to serve the food warm. Felt bad because our waiter was good and left him a small tip. Had the food been warm the tip would have been greater. We will return 😁
The food is good but the wait are too long. The other disappointment is their chicken gambo soup there is hardly any meat. I found one piece of sherrdd chicken. The taste is there. I had the crab cake with eggs that was excellent. I would still go there and have brunch. I love their starter pastry.

After I donate blood and platelets I like to have a nice hearty breakfast. My food was good, except for the potatoes, as they were a bit freeze dried for my taste. My friend chose this time, because he had heard such good things about Huckleberrys. We will go back and I will try something else. The biscuit and gravy was delicious, as were the eggs.
Food was delicious, but it felt like we were being rushed out. My dining companion hadn't even taken a bite of her hamburger and we were already given the tickets, and offered boxes.
So, food was really good but service not much. I’m a server so I understand when restaurants are busy and I try to be patient, we waited about 40 minutes to be seated, we’re ok with that. Right before I asked what our wait time was some friends of a server showed up, they pretty much didn’t wait for a table. We sat down about the same time, So after we sat down it was another 10-15 to be asked for drinks. And waited so more for them to take our order, well at that point they got their food and we still haven’t ordered ours. I mean she was nice but we didn’t supposed to give our friends any preference over customers, at least I don’t do it, specially if kids involved, We have our kids and it was just irritating they had to go though that. That was our first time trying the place, most likely the last one.
The food was ok, nothing spectacular. Service was ok. They were changing for a break. The person who took over was not attentive, and this got confused. It took 20 to get the bill. This was way after eating. The last negative is we were put right in from the kitchen door. It was filthy. People were slipping on the floor because of some sort of oil or something. My Mothers Day was just ok. The most important thing was that my son and his wife were with me.
Tried chicken and waffles for the first time, thinking this was gonna be something special. Well, the waffles and the eggs were good. The chicken tenders were touted as being this ‘hand battered’ chicken tenders!! The worst chicken tenders I’ve ever had. They were obviously taken out of the freezer and microwaved. So the fact that the chicken was horrible and the fact that I don’t see the correlation with this dish, just leads me to believe this ‘Southern’ cooking is a bunch of bologna. The South will never rise again!
Idk why people rave about this place. Chicken & waffles weren't anything to brag around. Chicken seemed pre frozen cooked. Had better chicken tender from chick fill a. Only thing good was the waffle part. Eggs standard you can get anywhere.
This was our first time eating here. We arrived during the week. It wasn’t too busy at all. Children had cheeseburgers with fries which the said was 5/10. I had the unlimited soup/salad with bread. The chili was good. Salad was basic and ok. Bread was ok. I’d give mine a 6/10. Nothing was amazing nor made us want to return. We probably won’t be back.
The menu is pretty solid but the grilled chicken sandwich is not the nicest. The meat was weird and the bread used with it was alright. Also, they don’t do blended drinks even though all it takes is a blender to make them… a little bit frustrating but it’s not a big deal.
1st time there. Service was prompt & friendly. Tried the Fried Green Tomatoes with “spicy ranch” which tasted like relish mixed into ranch. I requested plain ranch & enjoyed much better. I ordered the Mississippi Skillet. I should have gone with the Po Boy or catfish. Will try those next time. Strawberry Lemonade was disappointing. Tasted like fountain pink lemonade with strawberry flavoring added, even though real strawberries were in it. Quite a menu so I will give another shot.
Visited Huckleberry's once in Concord and once in Stockton and after some months we were persuaded to return since we were going to Stockton. We ordered one muffin because they're big enough to share-- or they USE to be. It seemed to be a third smaller and it was dry. We asked for the Chicken and Waffles WITHOUT the Syriracha Sauce and it came with but it was still good. We had the Crabcake Benedict which was more cake than crab and the Hollandaise was bland. The potatoes were fresh and the peppers and onions sauted on the grill. Our server, Riley was friendly, attentive, and efficient.

Ordered stuffed french toast, which was lukewarm upon arrival. It sounded delicious, but the reality was subpar. The Fruit sauce was cold on top of the lukewarm food, which made it all cold in minutes. Really could have been excellent, which I find the most offensive. The service was lackluster.
Staff: 4 out of 5 Friiendly and accommodating Venue: 3 out of 5 Temperature was nice and cool, decorations were nice, dining areas were ok. Casual dining setting. Food rating: 2 out of 5 Stacked chicken waffles - chicken had texture of fried rubbber. Waffle was so-so. I came here for the southern type cooking, but realized that in Stockton there was not much competition or need to "stand-out" amongst the other breakfast chains. Safe bet to probably stay with the easy stuff: scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, and water
First time this location!! Our server was named Violet, to be honest she really need to improve customer service and be more polite with customers, never came and ask how was everything, I had to ask for more coffee, the food, we got a very hard toasted wheat bread when I ask for white bread and not even able to cut toe bead in pieces and when we show her, she got surprised a don’t know about why? But I definitely didn’t understood her reaction, definitely not a place I will come back, I was expecting more from this location.
The red potatoes had no seasoning at all, cooked so much could have made mash potatoes. Crab cakes very thick and doughy. Fried green tomatoes were ok very greasy. Famous Mimosa extremely thick. Prices are high, service was great though. However I would rather pay for great food not just great service. Disappointed after all the great reviews.
I hate to give it a bad review but my goodness the food here is so BLAND. The food has absolutely no FLAVOR. I think the chef doesn’t know what seasoning is and should go back to culinary school. Did they forget to leave seasoning on the table for the customer to season their bland food??? The restaurant portrays a southern Cajun menu/theme but fails to create good Cajun southern food. I don’t know why this place is popular, very OVERRATED and overhyped. Also they aren’t the cleanest when cooking & handling food. I noticed the cooks don’t wear hairnets or anything to cover their beards. Girls with long hair don’t properly secure their hair, often in a long ponytail which isn’t the best choice unless you want hair in your food, also known as a health food hazard. I witnessed through the glass window, one of the servers sneezed in her hands when preparing food. The only reason I’m giving 2stars is because the service is exceptional, very friendly and professional(somewhat). But the Chef and the food needs a lot of work!
I have eaten there twice, both times breakfast and the omelette had no taste at all. The toast was absolutely COLD with way too much butter so it never melted. I swear toast should be easy!!! It’s as if it was toasted first and then sat. Either that or it was left over! It was disappointing and sad. Both times. Don’t want to eat here anymore. 😕
I've been to this location twice. Second time was today, I was highly disappointed. There was a tiny piece of hair in my wife's food! I didnt care much if they offered us a discount on our bill (which they DIDNT) but they kinda just brushed it off like it was nothing. Still tipped tho. Just watch out for hair in your food.
What is happening to this location. Went in a couple days ago and the restaurant was nearly as cold as it was outside. Asked them to turn up the heat because people around me clearly were cold as well wearing heavy jackets and hoodies arm’s crossed in front of them trying to stay warm. My waitress was useless as far as happy to help. Never did I feel heat come on. I ordered my normal Cajun Benedict and it was stone cold and the egg yolk was cook never something you do to a Benedict. That yolk should be hot and run out over your food. Mine did not do that at all. Waitress was no where to be found. Couple across from me waited nearly 10 min after asking our waitress for the bill. I ate my stone cold food because I was hungry and with the service so slow who knew how long I’d wait for another order. When I finally finished is when the waitress for the first time came over to ask me how it was and if I needed a coffee refill. This question and her appearance happened after I finished and sat there to 15 min waiting. Told her no and she slapped the check down and walked away. I won’t be going back. They were really good at customer service and food, now piss poor everything.

I had breakfast today, the beignets were stale and the next serving was just reheated. I had the New Orleans skillet and I was surprised how sloppy it was put together. I started feeling bad before I left the restaurant, I thought I over ate, but I left a lot of food behind. I’ve been sick all day, it’s definitely food poisoning. I wish I had never went and I will not be returning. The staff were wonderful though. The Waterloo location is a better choice (5 ⭐️).
Walked in for a dine in. Was very slow, handful of people eating. 5 waitress all looked in my direction, never acknowledged me and either looked away or walked away. Two of them just continued their conversation like I wasn't there. Horrible customer service. I left right after. We spend too much money to get this type of lazy service.
First time there. After 15 min wait for a table disappointed in the service and food. Chicken was overcooked blackened from not filtering oil. Steak sandwich was very dry. Won't be back 😌
Service was excellent but I won't ever come back. The food was bland and inedible. My decaf wasn't decaf and I suffered the rest of the day!
Had a poor experience at this location. Was placed on the waiting list but was not called on the phone. Restaurant is cold. Ordered bayou potatoes and Cajun omelette along caramel macchiato. Food was bland. And there was no southern style seasoning on the potatoes. Service was slow. When checking out the front desk asked how it was I responded with it was not the best. There was no sympathy or further questions just silence. Won't be coming again.
Server Antasia was very rude and gave us attitude throughout the time we were here. Seemed like she did not wanted to deal was us at all. She knew we were sharing, no extra plate was offered, never came back to ask for coffee or if we needed anything or our food was ok. She made us very uncomfortable. Had the worst service. Will never come back to this location again.
Took forever getting seated today and there were a lot of tables open. My sister ordered the eggs Benedict and two of us ordered the Mississippi. It took 45 minutes to be delivered the toast was burnt yet ice cold. The eggs Benedict was scrambled not what she ordered Hash brown thin and hard as a rock yet greasy inside like they were deep fried and we found 5 to 6 eggshells in them. The server didn't even bring us our silverware yet the food was sitting there I had to get up and ask for it. Absolutely horrible experience. The person sitting behind us was seated and she wouldn't sit down she asked the young man at the counter if he could clean off the seats because there was food on it. He proceeded to walk over there grab a paper towel from the table and handed it to her to clean it off herself. We were shocked. He was a young man maybe 17 shirt hair despicable attitude and very poor manners and service. Our waitress didn't even offer us more water or drinks. This establishment needs to be shut down. Never will I go there again shame on them.
My wife, 2 children and I went to Huckleberry’s Friday September 29, 2023. We ordered French Toast, a catfish po boy sandwich, chicken strips, flapjacks, and fried green tomatoes. We were slightly greeted at the door, and were promptly taken to out seats. We waited 10 minutes until our server came. She didn’t introduce herself by name as usual in the food service industry. She only asked if we were ready to order our meal and drinks. No smile, all business. We received almost all of our food 15 minutes later. My wife’s fries were cold, the catfish under seasoned, and tasted rancid. My son’s chicken strips were tough and fried in old oil that left a film on my tongue. His fries were also cold. The flapjacks and French toast were mid. I asked about the fried green tomatoes my wife ordered. Our waitress asked if we still wanted them, to which my wife replied yes. 10 minutes later we received the fried tomatoes. They were also under seasoned. The outside was burnt, while the batter in the middle was still raw. My wife instructed all of us to stop eating with the fear that we’d all get sick. We got up to pay for what we did consume ($70), and was asked how the food was. My wife replied that the food was severely under seasoned, cold, and raw. To make matters worse, we were blocked in by a Sysco truck for 30 minutes. I would not recommend coming to this establishment at all. If you’re looking for great food, and great customer service, look elsewhere.
This location is not it. Our server Carmen was super rude. We did not get our drinks until 20 minutes in and another 10 minutes to take our order. The restaurant was not busy, maybe 2 tables aside of us and the waiter team were all sitting down with nothing to do from our time of arrival till we left. Beware of food and utensils! Seevers talked about messing with the customers food and when our server dropped a fork, instead of picking it up, she literally kicked it all the way to the kitchen 🤢 management needs to get their team/restaurant in check.
We arrived for breakfast, and after 5 minutes the waitress came to offer us something to drink, and we also asked for an appetizer, the appetizer arrived super fast, the drinks took 10 minutes, 10 minutes passed and the waitress was only passing by with drinks for other tables or receipts but they didn't stop by our table. to take the order... so I got up to ask who would take the order. ootrq meserq took our order, after a few minutes she came back and asked if everything was okay, she went to another table and picked up some plates, while walking she dropped a spoon, she turned to look at it and kicked it with her foot and walked towards the kitchen kicking it. That doesn't speak well of a waitress, especially in front of customers, kicking a spoon when she knows the customer is putting it in their mouth to eat.
My mom and I have gone here twice now and everything has gone down hill. The first time we had a great waitress and mediocre food. The second time we were seated at a dirty table, with trash all underneath the table itself. Our waitress was so inattentive that we had to flag down two other waitresses when we needed anything. My mom's "melt" sandwich came refrigerator cold with bacon that was hard as a rock and my sandwich that was supposed to have avocado on it had two paper thin slices. The food overall has been sub par and their "bengiets" are a joke. They're more like hush puppies and are completely flavorless. The best thing about this place is their lemonade. 2/10 do not recommend.
food was ok, but the rest needs improvement, like the table outside has ants all over the table, the server said because it's outside, i guess that's why almost all tables has ants. not worth waiting 25 minutes to get seated outside we know there's a table for two inside but the girl said if i want to seat inside it's going to be a few more minutes, but the people came after us whose also waiting outside got seated inside after we got ants table. bad experience.
I ordered the eggs Benedict with the sausage and I paid $25 for 2 eggs, 1 sausage, some potatoes & an orange juice... And the sausage did not smell really fresh and it was not that hot... 👎🏻👎🏻
We got to the 8 Mile store around 9:30 on a Sunday. Sat outside for half and not too bad. Then it just got worse. Got seated but had to wait another 20 to 25 minutes just to get our coffee which was mediocre at best. It took another 20 minutes to place our order. And hour later I was ready to walk but the food came. But they forgot the sides we ordered and the server said she'd be right back with the items. 10 minutes later I asked for a manager in which they told us we had to wait to speak to her. By thus time my food was cold. I won't waste my time ever again. Poorly managed store. I'll never go back.
The ambient is very southern, the service is great. As for the food, besides being too oily it's too expensive. Also, it is necessary to inspect the dish they bring you.. Mine, I could tell it had been sampled.Another thing I noticed while eating for my food is that Hispanics are being seated by the tables next to the kitchen while the non-hispanics customers were being seated by the windows. 👎👎I am not returning🤨
Service has gone down hill unfortunately despite them not being busy the wait for the food was ridiculous it was close to a 40 min wait and once the food arrived everyone’s meal was cold. This is unacceptable no one wants to eat a cold skillet or Cajun Benedict. There was a foul almost rotten smell as soon as the plates hit the table I thought I was imagining it but then said something and everyone agreed. Bad experience and will not be returning which is really sad I live down the street and would come any chance I got.
It you ever want to have the worst experience with your family, this is the place for you. Asked to not sit at a different table, the manager made it her mission to completely ignore us. It was almost impressive, the lack of service. 30 minutes after I ordered, I saw all of our food sitting there getting cold. Super great place to get let down. Definitely recommend this place if you want the worst breakfast
First time there and never going back. Not too sure why “pizza sticks” on the kids menu was actually a fried hot pocket. I really paid for someone to serve my kid a hot pocket!? The only thing I liked was my drink which was the peach tea. My food was just okay. Nothing amazing. But I couldn’t believe a restaurant just threw a hot pocket on their menu and actually served them. I guess I shouldn’t have expected more from this place. I should have walked out as soon as I noticed that the place didn’t even smell like any good food was being cooked. The waitress was nice but it did take her about 15 mins to come and greet us and take our drink order. Don’t even waste your time.
Not a great experience at all. Had a cup of coffee. Not hot but warm and tasted like it was thinned out. The silverware looked like the were hammered out by a prison. Order the Nawlins Breakfast. Asked for scrambled eggs with onion and cheese. Neither were scrambled with the eggs. Just clumped on top. Pancakes were bland in taste and couldn't cut them with the fork. But the syrup was very good in flavor. Had red potatoes and they were as hard as plastic and a small portion. Like they had been sitting in a hot burner forever. The bacon was just as bad with a similar taste. By accident they gave me two link sausages that were very good. When I did get my milk it was not cold but warm and had to ask for ice to give it some chill. Now my wife had Fish & Chips which she said the batter on the catfish was just right along with the fries. Because those fries were cooked just right I had some of them. Her Carmel macchiato was delicious but could've been a little warmer. Climate was too cold as i had to go to the car as my wife needed her jacket. I write all of this because I spent $67 for this meal. And didn't enjoy it. It was our first time and it will be our last unfortunately.
I don’t know if the lady was new or not but there was so many tables open and she was not seating anyone but just walking around talking to her other employees. Very annoying very unprofessional very needs to get some more training. I’m very upset. Took forever to seat so many other people. Worst customer service!!!!
First time trying this place. $40 for two to go breakfast combos which would have been fine but potatoes don't even have salt, they're also still raw and uncooked. Eggs had raw whites still!!! Was charged for adding bell peppers+ onions but they of course were missing. Staff was nice though. Won't be able to come back.
Service and servers could be better. The hosts in the front were not coordinated or organized. I was called on accident when my table was not ready. The servers do not re-visit the table after they give you your food/drinks. Had to wait 35 minutes for a refill on my coffee/soda. Also my server went on lunch and said another server would be taking care of my table in a meantime. Except this server did not blink an eye or stopped by. We had to call her for a refill of our drinks and to-go boxes. Even when we called her over she seemed confused and uninterested. She was more concerned about her own tables than taking care of us. Food was excellent but I would prefer good service over the food any day.

We went to this Huckleberry with my family and received little to no service. We waited a long time for our food, and our server did not come by to refill our coffees or drinks at any point until she brought our meals. On top of that, the food was cold. My brother ordered seasoned fries, which arrived cold as well. When he asked if they could be remade, the server returned with an attitude and brought unseasoned fries along with a very small cup containing barely any seasoning. After that encounter, she never came back to our table. Due to the poor service and overall experience, we will not be returning to this Huckleberry.
They have a horrible fruit fly infestation. There were large fruit flies, hovering all around our table, and they ended up in our food and drinks. So disgusting. Could not eat most of my food or drink the rest of my drink due to the fruit flies all over our plates, the paper towels, and drinks. Our waitress was so sweet. I didn’t even wanna complain there but people need to know— this is a huge problem.
Drove all the way here to meet with my aunt in Stockton from Sacramento to be totally disappointed. I would’ve given zero stars for service but that was not an option. It’s like we waited forever for our food and we all ordered salads. I’m not sure where they had to get the salads from And I had the unlimited salad and soup and when it came, I was totally disappointed. The chicken gumbo was like canned gumbo. It definitely didn’t seem like it was homemade everybody’s soup was cold and I ordered a hamburger for my 92 year-old father and said hold of pickles and that hamburger was so dry. He didn’t even eat it and of course it was covered with pickles so the next time I come to stopped to see my aunt will not be coming to huckleberries on Trinity
