Elsa was our server and I haven’t had this good of a service in such a long time. She made our evening such an special one. Definitely will recommend!
Food was made on time. Atmosphere was impeccable and the service was amazing
This intimate resturant offers great food and service. We reserved for a party of 12 to celebrate a baby shower for our friends. Everything from the staff, to service, to food was great. We definitely overstayed our welcomed, we were there from 11:30am to 3 pm. But the staff remained awesome, checking in on us, refilling drinks, offering dessert menus and additional drinks. Highly recommend this venue for a small intimate celebration. We loved everything we got and will definitely be back for brunch in the future. Thanks for allowing us to celebrate and share a great memory at your venue.
We went here with our extended family (party of 9). We made a reservation and were quickly seated. The service was great, as was the food. The menu is varied and delicious, and the good value pricing reflects the quality. Our party went on a Friday night, and the restaurant was full of patrons. There was a musician providing some easy listening music. I really enjoyed the complete experience. Great food, service, and atmosphere. I enthusiasticly recommend this restaurant!
Great food and servers were excellent in recommending items. Four of us (all seniors) were seated and realized it was too cold for us. Hostess graciously moved us in side. 2 of us thought it was warmer outside than inside under the fans. Again hostess offered to seat us back outside. We decided to stay put as it was busy lunch hour. Our server Thankful that the 3 who had attended for their first time had such an enjoyable time.
Yumminess Galore !!! Just go go go and you'll see what I'mtalking about !!! Ask for Elsa, she will make you feel at home 😉
Celebrated my birthday there this year with a very special friend of mine, the food was good the waiting staff was nice the Atmosphere was great the building was amazing! Although the one critique I have is being a man in a electric wheelchair. The bathroom needs a little work to be more accessible for people in electric wheelchairs. The catering person Kathy was very helpful she said she would let the manager know about that issue and the big tree in front blocking the entrance for people in wheelchairs. Will go back again
One of the girls at work shared her experience, “The Kitchen “. My husband and I made reservations for June 3, 2023. We’ve been to many restaurants but we both agreed this particular one stole our hearts. The restaurant owner made his way over to us and introduced himself. Staff was amazing. So was the live entertainment. The Seafood pasta was made to perfection. You will not be disappointed.
We are a frequent flyer at this Restaurant. In fact we have our company Christmas Party here. Today we had the Mahi Tuna Sandwich, Hummus Plate, and Chicken Caesar salad. From presentation to food service and quality, a solid 10/10. In fact we have Never had a bad meal here and have been dining here for a few years. A must for anyone wanting a great meal and experience.
Collaborative effort of three team members to make our patio dining experience comfortable on a chilly evening. We were seated and accommodated without reservation even though a special banquet was being held. The day’s special of halibut with broccolini and risotto were delicately prepared and enjoyable! I believe Richard serviced us primarily through our visit and was attentive and personable. Thank you!
We celebrated my daughter's birthday early Tuesday morning with my family! Delicious food and great atmosphere to eat at. Me my sister wants to buy the building. If it's for sale let us know and including fully furnished. It was our first time here and I highly recommend it.
Absolutely loved it. The attention to detail and service were amazing.
They don't have a large menu and there were some items on the menu that didn't sound good but I was skeptical so I just ordered clam chowder and salad. Soup was on hit. I was not happy about my salad. I will go back and try something else on the menu and I will let u know how my meal turns out
Friendly and pleasant staff. I'd recommend reservations, online. Indoor and outdoor seating are available, beautiful atmosphere. They have a nice wine and cocktail selection but no blender drinks. The menu has a nice selection and our meals (Steak and Lobster) were prepared by Chef Lacy, the medium rare fillet was perfect through out. Risotto was so flavorful and the mushrooms perfectly. Chef Lacy was very cordial and enhanced my meal experience with a personal visit at the table. Enjoyable live music was relaxing. The overal ambiance was family friendly, quiet and private.
The staff food and vibe were perfect. I had loads of fun and enjoyed my meal. I didn't have a reservation but we were seated at the bar which was perfect. The live music was so pleasant!!! I ordered the Mary's Chicken breast with my wine. I wasn't a fan of the bruschetta(?) It was hard but the olive paste thingy with the oil and vinaigrette was pleasant. I didn't have room for desert but I'll try some next time. I love the intimacy and family friendly atmosphere here. It's definitely romantic and gives you a Vinyard in the city feel. Top quality and a very high recommendation.
I came to this restaurant not dressed for the environment it is meant to be and I was still treated well and given great service. That was hugely important to me and I loved the pasta special, it was delicious! The environment is very nice and classy. I have nothing negative to say. This is truly a 5 star restaurant and I will be returning again in the near future. Definitely a place I would love to bring that special someone to and have some fine wine and eat some great food. The prices are great, they offer a selection of dishes from $10 - 50. So it is friendly for middle class and above
Had another great experience at The Kitchen today. Even with all the covid precautions, they managed to make it an excellent brunch experience. The unlimited mimosas helped take the edge off and we were never rushed so we got to stay till it was safe to drive. How thoughtful of them! The food was as always beyond fabulous. Can't recommend this place enough.
My experience at Stonebrier was top-notch! My family took me there a couple weeks ago for my wedding anniversary. I had a superb time! It was a Thursday night so there was live entertainment by guitarist ABRAHAM. The service wS A+ the food was A+ and the atmosphere was indescribable! I don't have anything negative to report (and that's RARE for me). I will definitely patronize this business in the future!
We had the best brunch experience here! Riley our server was so attentive and friendly. The food was to die for. I got the fried chicken sandwich and zuppa, while my parents had the French Toast with compote. We also had a delicious cheese cake with apricot drizzle. Everything was amazing!
We always have Riley as our server and she’s the best. Such and amazing attitude very professional and kind. The food is delicious!
I cannot say enough good things about this place! I recently had my bridal shower here in the Fireplace Room and from start to finish everyone was really wonderful to work with. I have to give a special shout out to Regina who was so kind and helpful when planning. She made a really beautiful menu for my event and was there helping us set up and everything. Our server was also really wonderful and kind we were so well taken care of and the food was great! I so appreciate all of the staff who made my event go off seamlessly
Loved it. It was my first time there and the service was fantastic.Delicious Eggs Benedict
The food was delicious. Bread brought to the table - balsamic vinegar and EVOO and an olive tapenade to dip/spread. We started with the Chef's Special Salad. We were all happy with our dining choices - lamb chops, prime rib, and sea bass. To finish, warm bread pudding topped with vanilla bean ice cream and a warm caramel drizzle. Live music too!
First time. Very nice atmosphere. Great staff . I highly recommend it as your next adventure.
Impeccable service, wonderful atmosphere. This is my second time back here and I’m glad I came. They’re very welcoming here The steak pairs very well with their cocktails as well as the scallops being delicious. Great suggestion on the wine. Only complaint I have is that both me, and my friends steak were undercooked, and overcooked respectively. I ordered medium rare and got closer to rare, and my friend ordered medium and got no pink in the middle. I’d def give this another chance, and there’s nothing else to criticize. Enjoyed my visit
What a beautiful restaurant!!! I got treated to a Birthday brunch with my daughter today. Still celebrating my birthday and what a pleasant experience this was. First of all the food was delicious, my jalapeño margarita was great, I had the French toast, and to top that off I also received a Birthday card with a gift voucher with 25% off my next visit as a gift. Wow !!!! I highly recommend this restaurant you will not be disappointed!! Thank you Kitchen for making my birthday so special!!
I had to come and check out this new restaurant that replace my most Fav bakery here in Stockton (and I come all the way fr San Francisco). And wonderful to see that it’s been replaced by beautiful restaurant with a good menu. They also surprised me with a secret menu of my Fav French Dip from the old bakery. And because I have to head back to SF, the awesome staff gave me a free gift (cheesecake) for my coming out here....what great service! Now I gotta come back often ;)
Our waitress, Elsa, made the night special! She gave us superb, made us feel at home and made us laugh!!! The food was fabulous and the atmosphere was classy and relaxed.
This was my first time here and I can already tell it’s a hidden gem. What really stood out was the staff—you can tell how proud they are of this place, and that pride shows in how genuinely kind and welcoming they are. The new lounge area is cozy and inviting, the food was delicious, and the whole atmosphere just makes you want to stay a little longer. It already feels like a favorite spot, and I can’t wait to come back.
The kitchen at Stonebrier offers an impeccable luxury dining experience. The food is exceptional, with every dish bursting with flavor, and the prices are moderate considering the fine dining quality. It’s the perfect spot for a date night or special occasion, where you can enjoy both the ambiance and the exquisite meals. Whether you’re pulling up in a Ferrari or just looking for a memorable meal, Stonebrier delivers on all fronts. The atmosphere is elegant, and the service complements the high-end dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to indulge in a truly remarkable culinary journey
Honestly, they deserved a 5 star, for the caliber of dining. I was really impressed, and so was the party of 10 with me. American cuisine with a touch of pride. This is a must-visit for all not afraid of a $30-$60 dish. This is a wonderfully transformed bakery, turned into a very chill Lodi locale. So glad we visited, wonderful job everyone, we look forward to a return visit😊
My friends and I came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We had a reservation for 7:00PM, the restaurant closes at 8:00PM, but they honor your stay and allow you to continue dining past the close time. I think it may just be last call for reservations. The receptionist and waitresses were attentive and friendly. answered all our questions about the menu and gave us suggestions. We each ordered a different dish including the salmon risotto, duck breasts, calamari, and lobster ravioli. In my opinion, the duck breast was the best out of all the entrees. It’s serve with a cherry sauce I don’t recall the name of (haha), a soft beet pasta almost like rice cake texture, and was very good. I had the salmon with quinoa risotto. The salmon was cooked perfectly: soft and the skin was crisp. I could do without the quinoa risotto, and had a traditional risotto instead. The highlight of the menu though are the desserts!!! Get the crème brûlée and cheesecake!!! The prices on the menu are high. Prepare to spend about $35 to $50 per person for dinner. Would I say I’d come back again? Maybe once in a while when I have the money to splurge. If the prices were lower, say $25 to $40 per entree, I think that would be more reasonable. But for the prices, I’d say the food wasn’t worth the high price point. However, the experience my friends and I got to share that night, can’t put a price on that.
I cannot say enough lovely things about this restaurant. But the highest rating goes to our server who always approached our table with a smile on her face. I wish I would’ve remembered to personally thank her for that. It really makes a difference in a dining experience when the server seems genuinely happy to help you.
Came for brunch and ended up ordering sandwiches as they sounded amazing…best decision! Caprese sandwich was so fresh and flavorful, the pesto cream was perfect compliment to the fresh herbs, cheese and focaccia. The Glory was surprising amazing as I’ve never had anything like it before. The bread pudding was one of the best we’ve had..and my husband was a a total bread pudding connoisseur, lol.
Excellent food and service. Rib eye steak was good to perfection. My wife ordered Seafood Pasta and the Seafood was cooked perfectly over fresh Pappardelle pasta with a zesty sauce. My son ordered a Short Rib Mac and Cheese dish and it was outstanding as well. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff are very friendly and attentive.
When I first came into this restaurant I was taken aback by the beautiful atmosphere. Everything from the marble tables and to the unique chandeliers really was set up beautifully. They could not find our reservation but was still very quick to assist us and find my bf and I a table outside. The plants on their patio are so beautiful and make the perfect amount of shade, it made it very cool which was surprising since it was such a hot day. My bf and I ordered the salmon cakes and the Caesar salad with chicken to start our meal. The chicken and salad tasted so fresh, and the salmon cakes were delectable. I may return for a to go box just for the salmon cakes, they were that good. My boyfriend got the duck, which was so rich and mouth watering. I even got a bite out of it and Iust say, it is the best duck I have ever had! I myself ordered the ribs with Mac and cheese. Let me tell you, there is NOTHING childish about that meals. The flavors swirled in my mouth with every bite. I was in pur ecstasy during the whole meal. The wait staff were very attentive and kept apologizing for the lack of staff, but they were still doing such an amazing job, I barely noticed. Great food, amazing customer service, and beautiful atmosphere. You can't beat that. 11/10 would recommend. Worth every penny.
First off the food was amazing 10/10 they had live jazz music playing and everyone was very friendly. MY waiter was very knowledgeable and patient. Now this place isnt cheap however the over experience i left in good spirts and full perfect date. I spent 140 for two entire an appetizer and alcohol so it somewhat affordable for anyone who want to experience fine dinning. I googled best restaurant in Stockton the did not disappoint.
Elk and bison, surf and turf skewers, Mezcal cocktails. Say less, the aesthetics of this place is on point, excellent service, and the food was on point. Grateful for a special large gathering or date night definitely upscale, which is nice.
It was really great experience. On a very busy day, New Year's Eve, they accommodated my reservation modifications without fuss. All 7 people with me had a great time. Food was great. Dominic who served us was awesome. Happy New Year!
Our 1st time dining here. Food was delicious. Service was great! Thank you, Elsa! Great ambience too. I made the reservation at OpenTable and opt to be seated by the fireplace. I highly recommend! Something different from our usual Lincoln Centers restaurants to dine in. We shall return!
Took my daughter here for dinner. We made reservations which I’d recommend because it was packed. We enjoyed drinks at the bar before being seated. The decor was very chic & glam. The staff ALL fabulously friendly. The singer playing guitar was very entertaining. The ambience was celebratory. Families enjoying a great meal & each other. The food was delicious. Will definitely go back.
Wonderful food, service, atmosphere, and cocktails. Entree, appetizer and dessert were fantastic.
At first glance this place was a bit overwhelming and way fancier than I initially anticipated. My dad and I were welcomed with a smile and positive vibes from our waitress Riley and quickly felt at home. Artwork was amazing and very tasteful. Loved the decor and finishes. The food was amazing. I had the eggs Benedict (my fav). The egg was perfectly cooked. It was amazing!! My dad got the steak and eggs. He was happy with his selection. I was here for breakfast but took a look at the dinner menu and I plan on coming back for dinner. Looking forward to it!
We had a fine birthday dinner, with a party of 6. It was our 1st time there. The location was unexpected, but it didn't disappoint. The interior was rustic with stonework and different textures, a bit of a wine cellar feel. A fine quality of chandeliers and decor throughout for a comfortable atmosphere. Each person had a different Entries. It was pricey, but you pay for the quality, and all was cooked to perfection. 🌟 The 8oz filet mignon nearly melted in your mouth and was sampled about the table. The Duck, the Salmon, the Seafood, the half Chicken, the Appetizers, all did not disappoint! Bravo to the Chef. Nice choice of cocktails🍸too. I'll definitely RSVP at The Kitchen @ Stonebrier again. Thank you for your personal party touches.👏🏼
This was my wife and I first time coming to this restaurant. We were completely enamored with the decor as well as the customer service. The food was sumptuous and I will be back. We came for lunch looking forward to coming in the evening to see the ambience.
Great ambiance and it's a cute restaurant hidden from the corner of West Lane and Bianchi. The food was excellent and great service staff. There is a nice bar area and outside patio to sit. I came here on a Friday night and there was a gentleman who was playing live music. I believe he said he's there on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in the evenings. It was an absolute treat being that it's the first time I came here. One thing I highly recommend is to make online reservations through Open Table app. You can still walk in but you may need to wait for a table.
Had a company lunch and the food was great! The environment inside has a more classy vibe, and has a bar. The food itself was great! I had the Steak Frites and it was cooked to perfection. Will be back!

Excellent restaurant! Amazing place to be located in stockton. Food is very good, their drinks and desserts are amazing. they also have live music on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
What a wonderful place to spend time with friends and enjoy a truly exceptional meal. Service was great and the live music made this such a special dinner for us as we celebrated our 41 anniversary. So happy we found this jewel in Stockton. Keep up the great experience, and cheers to all that made this special.
This place is AMAZING!! Not only is the food delicious ( I had Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and my husband had the Harvest Scramble) but the service was outstanding! Our server, Elsa, went ABOVE AND BEYOND in service! Well worth coming here. We will be coming back most definitely!❤️👍

Another hidden gem in Stockton, who knew ? The restaurant is swanky and fun. Great cocktail menu and the food was delicious Smaller portions but the quality over quantity was amazing. The decor was so beautiful. Good service too. We had large party and they handled it with ease. There were few open tables but they filled up quick. They have a beautiful patio space as well. We will be FOR sure going back again and again. Brunch spot on point
The food was good. I had the exact same thing as a previous visit, down to the bread pudding. Truthfully, it was good but not as amazing as the first meal. It seemed that the same 'recipe' was used by a less experienced chef. The service was wonderful. Yes, I recommend and will return.
Very nice for stockton, live music, decent bistro type menu. Somewhat pretentious. Chicken piccata was very good, sauce was delicious. Husband's steak was good, but nothing amazing. The light fixtures were a Highlight! Lol 6/24. Update, tried this place again, husband had the lamb chop special and it was good, however I tried the duck and it was so over cooked that it was almost inedible. My advice, the atmosphere is good, like the music, stick with the tried and true basics and you'll be fine
I was disappointed that a $20 BLT on sourdough came on sandwich bread. The Ruben looked like the same type of bread. The clam chowder and the chicken tortilla soup were excellent. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service was okay. We left a bigger tip than we should have because the waitress was nice.
Really good. It's a nice little gem tucked away in a spot you wouldn't expect a restaurant to be. The service was good. The food was good. Everything was great.
Great Service. Tasty food! Menu is Small, but that's OK. They do really good with the item that are available.
Ambiance/atmosphere was really nice and comfortable. Staff was really friendly. Patio/outdoor dining and indoor areas were very clean and inviting. I had the salmon with two sides - pesto noodles and grilled veggies from the lunch menu. My salmon was a tad raw in the middle; however, it was seasoned well and tasted really good. My veggies came with way more onions that I should legally have in a day lol, but again, all good. My girlfriend had a burger with avocado well done. Her patty was a little pink in the middle, but nothing to overly complain about. I love (but don't love) that I was able to choose my 2 sides if that makes any sense. At times, I wish to have the exec chef make that decision, and if it's truly something I don't want, I'd like the choice to alter it. Their proteins would shine more if we left it up to the chef (I think...). Overall, we will definitely come back.
Overall great experience, delicious food in a cool spot, love the decor. I had the fish of the day, Halibut which to my pleasure was served with risotto, both were delectable. I wasn't impressed by the calamari we started with, wouldn't get that again. Only other comment I'll make is that I could definitely see where parking might be an issue.
Came here for a birthday dinner. It's a little difficult to find at first but it's a gem. The ambience is one of the best I've seen so far in stockton. It's a cozy space whose interior decor is nature themed. The food portion could be bigger for what they are priced at. The lamb chops were pretty good. Service was great. They gave me a birthday dessert which was nice. Would recommend!
Good upscale restaurant. Food and service was very good. They do have a table in the kitchen for larger groups. Ambiance was a little bright in the dining room (especially if you are looking for a romantic setting), but outside patio sitting would be the place if you were looking for a romantic setting. I will return to try other menu items.

Came in on father's day. Food was delicious as always but the service was unfortunate. It wasn't busy in the restaurant but Took over 20min to have our waitress come to our table for the first time to take our drink order. Took a while to receive our drinks. As we're still working on our soups and appetizers our entrees already came out. Then halfway in the middle of still eating, the waitress offered to bring us to go boxes. My mother didn't even get to touch her California omelette because she felt uncomfortable. First time I've been disappointed with the service here and now I'm uncertain if I wanna bring my family back here for dinner service.
The atmosphere and service was absolutely amazing. That being said, the food was lackluster the menu had very limited choices. Even the margarita was unimaginative. My burger meat had no flavor. The fries were obviously frozen and pre-made my wife's chicken sandwich was unimpressive. The chicken itself had no flavor. The only thing that elevated it was the toppings. Getting back to the service Elsa our server was absolutely amazing. The only other thing I can say is the water pressure in the restroom sinks is too low. I'm sure there is a reason for it being so low, however as a consumer I would like to wash my hands properly.
The ambiance was quite nice and the music was soothing. Found the place while in Stockton waiting for my car to be repaired. Now the food: My wife's first cup of cup was warm to tepid at best. The second cup was better. Our food arrived luke-warm, as if it had set a while before coming to us. It tasted good, but the lack of heat impacted our experience. For some reason, they do not provide salt and pepper. When I asked for some, I got a small dish with loose grains of both, along with a spoon. That's unusual, right. The mimosa was flat, the glass not even half-filled. Finally, I am both able and willing to afford and pay for the best, especially when it is the best. That being said, the price I paid was NOT worth what was delivered. PERIOD. When and if they focus, not just on the mood and the look of the place but also on things like food quality, presentation, and timely delivery to the table, will this place truly be a sparkling gem as opposed to a flashlight.
First visit to this restaurant. I was with my husband and my parents. Aesthetically, it looks nice. There was a maitre'd at the door. He was welcoming, but I didn't understand the point of the tuxedo when there weren't tablecloths on the tables. Is this supposed to be a "fine dining" establishment? There wasn't even a wine list. The room had 3 4-tops, 1 table was set up for a party of 6, and there was already a group of 9 seated, waiting for their dinner. There was also a bar-type table along the walk that seated 4. The menu had something for everyone. The wait for our entrees was VERY long. It was a good thing we got a small plate of focaccia, 1 piece for each of us, but it took about 45 minutes before we were served. I had the short ribs. Though tender, the meat was stringy and dry. The risotto was okay. My dad ordered a burger but we had to send it back because it was undercooked. When it came the second time, it still had a part that was undercooked, but we didn't want to bother with it anymore. My dad stated that In & Out had a better burger that what he had. I really wanted to like this place, but I don't think I'll be returning.
Poorly prepared food. The fried calamari was undercooked (raw). French dip meat was overcooked and served on bread and not a roll making the “dip” a messy experience. Caesar salad was very bland. Bread pudding was also hard and flavorless. Our server was great. Be prepared- this is an expensive lunch. Happy to pay for delicious food. This restaurant disappoints.
Service was great, slow lunch day. Deviled eggs were pretty good, Rueben was all fat not much meat, dip was half a sandwich cut in half and meat was very dry! Sandwiches were all $30 for half a sandwich and small cup of fries. Food not worth the price! Cool atmosphere and great service.
I really love this restaurant, but I don’t recommend going on a week night. I made a reservation for 7:30 thinking that the restaurant stayed open till nine - like most restaurants. It was a special evening with family we hadn’t seen in years, and I really wanted the entire evening to be special. The food was good, as always, but we felt rushed the entire time we were there. I didn’t understand the rush, given that the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy and also thinking that closing time was nine. By the time we finished our meal, it was VERY obvious that our waitress was anxious for us to leave, but again I assumed closing time was nine, like 90% of restaurants in our area. It was only later when we got home that I learned closing was at eight. Why in the world would a restaurant take a 7:30 reservation when closing was at eight???? Our meal was not inexpensive!!! We knew it wouldn’t be, but that was fine as we were expecting a leisurely meal for the cost. Why would anyone pay $400+ for meal at a restaurant that would be closing in thirty minutes?? I know our waitress was aggravated, but honestly, she should have known we couldn’t possibly have drinks, appetizers and a meal in less than an hour! Certainly she was happy for us to order all of this as it made for a nice tip, but she sure didn’t try to hide the fact that she wanted us to leave!! To avoid this happening to other patrons in the future, I would recommend taking reservations no later than 7:00!! As long as stonebriar accepts guests past this time, management needs to instruct its wait staff to be more patient!! If a restaurant is going to charge these prices, it needs to allow its guests ample time to eat their meals!

Visited The Kitchen around 12:45 PM on a Sunday, and was disappointed with the lack of service received from our waitress. Aside from having our initial drink and lunch order being taken, there was zero service - no refill on water, no check-up on how the food was, and over 15 minutes to receive our check. After finishing eating, we waited about 5 minutes before a server assistant had asked if I wanted a box for leftovers. I said yes, and requested for the check as well. He asked who my waitress was, and I pointed her out, but she looked me straight in the eyes, and said "that is not my table, but I will find out who their server is." At this time, there were about 6-7 tables, and just 2 waitresses, whom do not look alike, since our waitress had dark rimmed glasses on. It was about 10 more minutes, before we were acknowledged and brought the check. Even with this in mind, we still tipped our waitress the standard 15% for "average service" when there was no service at all. I am hoping that our waitress was just inexperienced with this work shift, and that this is not the typical service she provides to her customers. We ordered the Chicken Caprese Sandwich and Short Rib Melt. The bottom bread of the ciabatta came out completely soggy, as if it was dropped in water; unsure if this was the intention or if the sandwich had been sitting for awhile after being prepared. The short rib melt was delicious, but missing the dijon aioli and not good enough for me to visit again.
Unfortunately this restaurant was a big disappointment. The ambiance was nice when we first walked in and it seemed promising. The best part of the night was the live musician that was singing. However, it was downhill from there. Servers didn’t smile and seemed very unfriendly. Didn’t ever seem to acknowledge us. We were seated, ordered our drinks, and were given water. We waited for a very long time and our drinks never came. The couple seated next to us came long after we did and were being doted on by several servers, pouring their wine etc. I had to flag someone down who then asked our server to bring our drinks, she apologized but never came back once to refill our water or to bring us any other drinks. Had to ask again after a server poured water for several other guests and then walked right by. Our server again pouring wine and doting on couple next to us, didn’t so much as glance our way. Never brought us more bread and appetizers took a good hour. Food took an uncomfortably long time. We were there estimating two hours. Didn’t care for the calamari, deviled eggs, or the scampi. Short ribs, salmon, and lamb chops were good. Spent about $200 for three adults and a child (we ordered lots of extras) for a mediocre experience. Not sure if this is the normal experience or if we didn’t look the part $$ but seemed like we were overlooked. Honestly, service was the downfall of our experience. We had a much better experience at Ernie’s in Manteca where the servers were on point anticipating our every need. Wandered in one day and had the best service ever. Wouldn’t rush back here.
Booked for a small birthday. Booking was easy and quick. Day of event host service was okey. Nothing out of the ordinary. We had a couple mimosas. I am a bartender, so I can say we possibly open three bottles, and we got charged $30 bottles. Mind you, my family does not drink it was a couple of us that had two glasses max as it was 1pm and we all had to drive. Wish i could have noticed bill there at the moment to clarify.! We’ll make mistakes but wouldn’t book for event again. Sorry.
Great service and excellent staff 5/5 Beautiful interior 5/5 Food not so much. 2/5 Ribeye plate looks like something you get at Denny's. It was very thin, like 1/3 of an inch thick i know its 8oz but problem was after cooking it it was very dry even the medium rare was gritty and under seasoned and lacks fat. Vegetables taste like they were boiled, wish they roasted it and black pepper was just thrown on the broccolini where top half was well seasoned then the stem tasted like strong black pepper. Also, a single carrot? Its like $1 for 5, atleast give two carrots to compensate for the two pieces of broccolini. Cheesecake was delicious tho.
Perfectly acceptable if middling is okay for a pricey dinner. Reservations were made in advance, and a notation about it being a birthday. That was mentioned a few times. They completely missed that; will get back to that later. We showed up to the place being fairly empty for a Friday night, we had our choice of which room and table. The waiter came by immediately and started putting menus down for bottles, glasses of wine, etc. Then he says no rush. Take your time. Enjoy. THEN without missing a beat says, the kitchen is closing in 10 minutes. ??! There’s a more sincere way to go about that then telling us in three different ways there’s no rush, but the kitchen is closing. Clearly there’s a rush. Insincerity was part of the entire experience. We can only taste three red wines because “bottles weren’t open”, OK. That tells you more about the restaurant right there. Settled on the expensive Cabernet, and quickly order. We didn’t have a choice. The food was fine, nothing special Skimpy on the servings – the $15 salad was small. And the portions for the expensive sole that I ordered was disappointing. The side of mashed potatoes was literally half a serving. The “vegetable medley” consisted of two small pieces of broccoli and a carrot. While we were waiting for the first course, I ask the waiter if they served bread if one orders an entrée; the waiter: oh of course yes, you just need to ask for it! The bread came out; it was good- warm with a serving of butter. Bet you can guess where that’s leading... They completely forgot about the birthday, ask us if we’d like any dessert, and we both sort of stared at each other, knowing that clearly they’ve forgotten the important part about the birthday. But because it was on the later side, we opted to leave and get dessert elsewhere. We get the check, and, no surprise, the bread actually was a charge, but they hadn’t revealed that. Apparently it’s on the menu, but it wasn’t made mention when we had asked if they serve bread, which in nicer restaurants is still something that’s part of the meal. We address that with the manager, Angelina, who is polite. Got the check back and now I noticed that it hasn’t gone down the full price of the added bread, so something seems wrong, there’s an explanation about the surcharge and the credit card fee. Here’s where it definitely got odd. They charge people the merchant fee. So customers are taking on the cost of doing business for this restaurant. They’re not willing to pay their merchant fee. So now I, the birthday girl who never got her birthday candle from this restaurant, goes up and basically addresses this with Angelina. The explanation? Well, it’s right there on the sign when you walk in, also on your receipt … you “have a choice” how you want to pay! I ask, really, what choice do we have, 95% of folk who go to a sit down restaurant for dinner are likely paying by a credit card. Most of us aren’t walking around with rolls of cash. I said, if you’d mention this at the time of the reservation, THEN I have a choice- I can choose to go to an ATM ahead of time or bring a debit card, which apparently doesn’t have a fee, but we’re at the end of the meal at the end of the night and we’re from out of town working- so we’ve got a credit card. This went back-and-forth a few times - she insisted they were “transparent“ as there was a sign upfront and it’s on the receipt once they’ve already run your credit card!?? So your choice is to either ignore that they’ve charged a fee, accept it, or push back- which ALL of us should be doing because if the restaurant honestly can’t afford the cost of business and merchant fees for credit cards … that shouldn’t be passed on to the customer when their price is already high, and portions are not generous. It’s also hurting their staff - the more you nickel and dime a customer for fees and risk of annoying them, the more likely the customer is going to be less generous with a tip. The whole experience left a bad taste… (did I mention they ignored the birthday? ;) Wouldn’t recommend.

We had a table of 8 and waited way to long to even get a glass of water. When we ordered ou food it came in about 10 minute intervals the last persons food came when I had finished my meal, my wife ordered Clam Chouder and it was cold and had to send it back to get warm, my hamburger I ordered med rare and it was med well dry and no flavor. Worst experience ever will never go there again!
It's the first time I went to this place, it was a horrible experience, the attention, the space where they put us, the waitress, even we couldn't walk due to such discomfort....the first thing we ordered was coffee, the coffees we were given. They brought cold ones... they were asked not to change them... after a while the waitress arrived with the supposedly hot and fresh coffee. When we tried the coffee it was hot water, they were asked again not to change them for the third time, it was the same. ..we decided to cancel the coffee, then another waitress came explaining what had happened with the coffee, supposedly the coffee machine had broken down, and what I didn't understand was if they made the coffee 3 times how could they not have realized. ...I think they did not want to serve us, probably because we are Latinos, how sad and angry to feel this racism, I had never felt this feeling of racism, but as we LATINOS say, it was the first time and it will be the LAST.....not even for RECOMMEND this restaurant and to add to all this VERY EXPENSIVE EVERYTHING, the drinks were horrible, the mimosa, the mojito they made a lemonade and put 3 leaves of mint in it, also the margarita... I am giving this review because I worked for 12 years as a waitress and cocktail bartender at a Union City restaurant.
Me and 3 others had dinner here and has a Huge bug in our food. First we are greeted by a guy letting us know about the specials and when he is talking he spits in our water. Then they bring out an over cooked steak and had to remake it. In the meantime we find a huge fly/beetle inside the mashed potatoes after we have already ate 1/3 of the meal. They take that back, apologize and offer a dessert or for it to be remade. We decline, as we are speaking to the manager about the bug they bring the new steak out ON TOP of our mashed potatoes. I ask if the potatoes are made to order or in bulk, they said they are made in a big pot. So they basically brought out contaminated food to serve us again even after being made aware of the issue. They took off both meals and made us pay for the remainder or the check. Now we gotta go get food elsewhere. Will not be back. Insane.
Well, I will start out by saying. The salmon cakes were amazing. But after that. The ball just rolled down hill from there. My girlfriend can't eat pork. That's why we chose this place. They have a mushroom gravy. Well, they served he the sausage gravy. Also, I asked for the remoulade sauce that came on my burger. To be on the side. Well, it was not. I returned the burger, and not even 2 minutes later, my burger was coming back out to me. This is where it gets even worse. All the Chef did was put everything on a new bun but then added mayo to it. There was still remoulade sauce on my burger, egg, and avocado. So once again, I had to return the burger. It is crazy how they will just reuse mistakes. 30 minutes after my girlfriend got her food, i was still sitting there waiting for mine. Then, after all of these constant mistakes. I got 20% off, but not even for the whole bill. Just parts of it. This is the worst experience I have ever had and will never return to this establishment. Knowing they don't care and they just reuse food has been a mistake. I would be embarrassed as the owner to have this going on at my establishment
I had high expectations but was extremely let down. 1st, our friend ordered a medium rare filet mignon, and it was well done. Sent it back, and she waited for her order. While she waited, my wife found a large dead fly in her mashed potatoes!!! Didn't even think to take a pic. I was too shocked that this had happened. I wanted it out of our sights as soon as possible. 🤮🤮🤮 How does this happen?? DISGUSTING!!!! They bring out our friend's filet mignon, and we just sent it back since it had the same batch of mashed potatoes that my wife had found the fly in... they offered us free dessert but we had to decline! How can anyone want to eat anything else after seeing a large fly in your food!!!!?? Thank God my wife did not eat the fly!! They did remove the filet mignon and my wife's order from the bill.. but I feel a visit with an apology from the chef was necessary!! Unfortunately, we didn't get that... What a big letdown!!!
To expensive for the food on the plate, the truffle French fries was frozen bag from Walmart and the mash potatoes was instantly one, I try the lamb chops and they were ok, I’ll never return even for free, service was awesome and the atmosphere was good
This is our favorite restaurant in Stockton. However, beware lately they have become very inconsistent with hours of operations. Some days they randomly do not open and others they close early with no notification anywhere. This is becoming incredibly frustrating and what kind of restaurant operates like this. I understand slow seasons but, atleast be open for the minimal operating hours you are actually open.
