So far, this is the best McDonald's I've been to in terms of service. All the staff are smiling and very friendly at every moment. The environment is very clean and well-organized.
Perfect for families! I really felt at home at this location I definitely recommend if you are passing along the main road great for college kids for young kids and for the elderly. They have a great selection of drinks and burgers the location is very clean and orderly the staff was very friendly the drive-thru was very fast and I will recommend this location to all of my friends at Stony Brook University thank you McDonald's
Edit: I ordered no ketchup, and there is ketchup smeared all over my triple cheeseburger. Now my dinner is ruined. Great McDonald's franchise...one of the best. Try the McDouble with bacon and tomato...so good. If you have to wait.for your food for longer than a couple minutes, they will usually give you a coupon for free fries or free sandwich. Very nice manager.
There was a little bit of a wait getting our drink after we got our food from the drive thru. But they were very apologetic. French fries were in point and the big mac was delicious and not soggy like other local mcdonald's.
This McDonalds is brand new. I’m never one to eat inside a fast food restaurant but I have to say, this location is great! The staff are friendly and the food is good. Will definitely return.
I hadn't tasted such hot fries and hamburger at McDonald's in such a long time. Perfect. And really nice hospitality. Great job guys
This McDonald's is open 24/7 (drive thru only at night) which was great when I was in college. Went here very frequently with friends after long nights studying or partying. It was always slightly better than the Burger King on the next block in my opinion.

This is my new favorite McDonald's for breakfast! The food was fresh, hot, and cooked to order. I only eat fast food breakfast at McDs. Scrambled eggs and sausage with coffee. Low carb and high protein 😋

Nice staff, very friendly. Also still has a Mac Tonight display in their party room, which is a very rare sight in 2017. Unfortunately it does not work but if you want to go check it out before they renovate the room, head over there now. I beleive it will be removed in July 2017 so no time like tje present for this glimpse into McDonald's history.
I love this McDonalds location. Orders are usually accurate, very clean inside and friendly quick service. Also they don't forget the sauce when you ask for it in the bag, bravo to this McDonalds!
Jaquaya is literally the best ! I went there for my first time because the Centereach McDonald’s don’t open late and literally I was really happy that I took that drive out because she treated us with such respect and gratitude. I definitely enjoyed my experience! She was so sweet to my boyfriend and I . Also I don’t want to forget her coworker chase , he too was sweet . Working in customer service is not easy but those 2 made it seem like it was natural. Thank you jaquaya and chase !!!!!!!!!!

Food was brought sto out table with careful consideration. Put our order in via kiosk. Turnaround time was reasonable . It appeared ro be a relatively new /modern McDonald's . Staff were nice. Used the WIFI. Hung out there prior to our SUNY Stony Brook tour. Bacon egg and cheese mon a biscuits ,several hashbrowns , and SHAMROCK shakes.
This McDonald’s is the only one that I pick up delivery from DoorDash and they are always on time with my orders

Stopped by this location on 4.29.22 right before closing time. Despite late hour, the service from Chase was excellent: he was very helpful, polite and patiently assisted my kids with their order. He then proceeded to explain that it's closing time, but we can stay for as long as needed to finish the meal. Great customer service!

Went for a late night snack, burger was made really nicely! Got a Quarter Pounder + Big Mac for my friend. Usually the vegetables are just stacked on one another but both of our burgers were made very well yesterday, perfectly spread out with the vegetables and sauce. Would definitely visit again
Problem solved by conscientious manager. Yesterday evening, I ordered food for the kids at drive through. Exiting the car, when the bag with the food was lifted, it ripped at the bottom and the food was all over the street. Kids not happy, I was off to McDonald’s again, resigned to pay twice. Upon returning and mentioning the experience to the manager, he was very gracious and replaced the order at no charge, and suggested a shopping bag for the order which I really appreciated. Thank you!!
Yesterday Dec 14 at 11:15 PM I went to pick up an uber order from there . I waited for 16 minutes and I pressed the bell no one answered and I try going to the drive through and explain that I’ve been waiting for 15 minutes no one answered what’s going on because the customer was asking me how long it was going to take so 1 of the guy said that I had to go back in the waiting area and so I said I’m already in the drive through if the order is ready just please give it to me so I can go about my business. The guy laughed and said”not in my drive thought it will definitely take a lot longer longer “ and when I get to the window he saw me he looked at me and laughed and talk to some other coworker and they both started laughing. It was 11:15 when I arrived and I ended up cancel the order at 11:40 . This is unacceptable . The guys looks Asians . Uber drivers are not supposed to wait for this long it should be at least 10 min max . This was an unprofessional behavior to not give me the order and laughed at me
Great McDonald's just a very difficult location to get to if traveling east. If you're on the east bound side of nesconsett hwy, plan to take an extra 10 minutes out of your trip to turn around uturn to reach the entrance and then uturn back onto the east bound side.
The girl who was working drive thru tonight is the best employee that this McDonalds has or ever will have. I asked her to check to see if she had any of the Minecraft bee toys for the happy meal and she hooked me up. She deserves not only a raise for all the hard work that she has done (which, after checking at all the other locations on the island, had lazy employees who couldn’t possibly have done) but for the fact that she made sure that I walked away a more than happy customer. You know who you are and you did make a girl happy 💯
My favorite local McDonald's. Most of the staff are very friendly and orders are always hot and fresh. Line always moves quickly and as someone who visits multiple times a week, sometimes if only for just a fountain drink, most orders are correct with no issues. Have been coming for years and will keep returning. Renee at the drive-thru is great! BRING BACK snack wraps and salads like some other locations!!
We arrived at exactly 1:47 AM. And they still served me. I really do appreciate it. The first location to ever tell me that Seltzer (my preferred drink) is given free of charge. Drink perfectly iced and fries fresh from the fryer. The cherry on top was the great customer service and quick serving. Thank you. My new face late night bite.
Very large and clean McDonalds, located near the mall with extremely friendly staff. The only reason it got a 4-star review is because it's not the fastest McDonalds. I usually deliver for UberEats here and never have a bad time.
The original building was recently replaced. The new place is clean and modern looking. Service was pretty quick. The food was exactly what you would expect from a new restaurant.

McDonald no longer offers grilled chicken sandwishes. They have decided to offer crispy chicken which is not as healthy and has more calories. Why? Economics? Customer preferences? Whatever Mc Donalds motives are, it certainly will not attract customers looking for healthier options.
Generally very good. My last visit was good, but I ordered extra Sauce on my McRibs, and usually they do a great job with this, but they were a big lacking this time, with none having extra Sauce and one having very little to no sauce. Hopefully they will get it right next week.
Glad to see that this McDonalds has reopened. It's a totally new building with two drive through lanes and much less seating inside. It appears to have been optimized for mobile ordering. I find it interesting that they can design the app to charge extra for cheese, but not to charge less if you remove cheese. Why is there no Quarter Pounder without cheese selection? Feels like a rip-off to me. You're forced to order something you don't want and then remove it .
This place looks great since it's been redone. There are now two drive through lanes which helps on this very busy street. Person who took our order was having difficulty but not sure if they were new or incompetent.
I went to Wendy's before that to ask for a cup of water because it was really hot outside and we were dying of thirst and we just wanted water and they were going to charge us $5 and thirty something since we went to McDonald's and got it for a dollar. The staff was very kind.
As nice as the St. James McDonalds, but I would update the exterior design and maybe the interior design too. I'm not disappointed with this place, but the exterior could use a little, y'know, redesigning? Overall, my review is 4/5 stars.
Ok so like the food was good but we ordered in the app some breakfast and we ordered a biscuit and on the bag it said biscuit but they gave us a McGriddle. And by time we got back to our house it was lunch time! So we couldn't take it back🫠 so like it was good but I'm not to happy about the wrong item. Everything else was good and there and right.
Sometime you just have to have McDonald's. U stopped by and ordered two sandwiches, drink and fries. Order arrived quickly, only a small wait while the food was prepared. Ask for some hot sauce to dip your fries in, it's really good. The parking was ample. Locations was clean, safe and relatively busy. No hobos, scroungers or dropouts hanging around. Overall a positive experience.

We were on our way home but my wife had to use the loo so we decided to pop in. The establishment looked clean and I ended up ordering on the kiosk. After I paid for my order no receipt came out but the staff was kind enough to ask if we were being helped while waiting for our orders. We got our order fairly quick and started driving home. I was eating in the car and to my dismay they had forgotten 2 out of 3 of the sauces I requested! I understand the possibility of human error but I ordered 3 different sauces and wanted to experience the gold sauce, oh well. The spicy deluxe mccrispy was decent, offered some noticeable spice but smelled and tasted banana like. Overall good service but I don't frequent at McDonald's. 3.8 stars 🤩
The staff and the service is pretty great, everyone is nice and friendly and is happy to help. The atmosphere is OK only because the few times I have been here since the reopening, there have been so many dirty tables it's hard to find somewhere to sit. The Food is OK also. The fries are typically always really good, but the chickens almost always overcooked and dry. The burgers I have had have been pretty good also.
I was starving or I would not be eating at MacDonald's. Artisan signature smokehouse was hot and fresh but boy if this is their signature burger good luck. Sauces and fried onions tasted gross. Restaurant itself was updated and very clean.
I asked for lemon in ice tea said it wasnt on order. It was i saw on screen besides never received it. Oops
The food was good. However, next time, get the tray for the drinks instead of just standing there handing it to my mom. We waited for almost 10 minutes and it’s ridiculous that my mom and I were almost not happy campers because of the service. Good thing my mom spoke to the manager because she was a little angry
please get rid of the old woman who works here specifically at night time. i think she is even the manager but she is always nasty, giving an attitude and is never nice. i give people the benefit of the doubt but i’ve encountered her a couple of times coming here and she is always the same. i’m going to the selden/centereach location for now on cause she is not worth any more of my breath.
Don’t forget to check your order!!!! I ordered and picked up my meal today, including a cup of mocha. This is my first time visiting here and I didn’t check my staff. Then I found that they didn’t give me my coffee when I got my office. I couldn’t find the way for getting the refund. So, just remind never forget to check your staff. Update: They forgot my honey packet this time. So far I ordered and pickup here three times. They didn’t give all of my order twice.

They're the slowest McDonalds I've ever dealt with. Every single time I come here, I'm waiting 15 minutes for my food.
Typical McDonald's food. Fries in particular could have been better. But hey, it's McDonald's. When it's cooked fresh, it can be amazing. Otherwise, just meh. This location was knocked to the ground and totally replaced a couple years back. It's now a souless grey box like a lot of new McDonald's. The interior lacks any style, no decorations on the walls; just boring in general. The workers are hidden in the back, no one cleans tables, but when they bring you your food, they are pleasant enough. No fault on their part. They didn't design the place. The place reminds me of a hospital cafeteria, devoid of any soul. Not a condiment, napkin, straw, or soda machine in sight. The place looks like it was designed to cater to drive thru customers, which seems to be busy. From what I read online this is the sad direction McDonald's wants to take all of their restaurants in the future. Terrible IMO. But hey, those of us that have fond memories of McDonald's Play Places and fun Birthdays parties will all be dead soon enough and there won't be any one left that remembers to complain about it.
Filthy tables. Not a napkin in sight. I had to clean the table with hand sanitizer and my receipt. They avoid working the register, trying to force you to use their self order kiosk. Will we need to cook our own burgers soon too? Do better.
Ordered 2 cheese burger combo quickly at the drive through but with modifications (Mac sauce added ). Paid quickly but then waited a while at the side, maybe it's a workaround to keep their drive through times low. Lead staff confirmed my order was correct which was appreciated. When I eat my burgers it was a sloppy mess. Not interested in going back .
zero stars for this restaurant the hygiene is very bad i saw a worker going to the bathroom and his hands were dirty and was making the food some of the employees are too old and have various diseases and the manager hispanic lady who works at night is very rude , and has bad customer service.
My local McDonald's recently totally renovated this location & I need to say, these restaurants have really gone down hill, big time. The entire concept of McDonald's was the structure of the golden arches which is what made this establishment so successful. Today it has turned into a circus. Today you need to order using a touch screen & it's no longer a fast food establishment. It destroys the concept of what made it so successful. I don't know why things that work need to be changed. I went to my local McDonald's, & w the wait time & the entire restructure of this genius concept that has been destroyed, I will not be returning. When I was a young kid in 1965 - 1970 there was nothing better than going to the Golden arches, today its been destroyed.
Arrived around 1:30am of Sep 19th 2021 after door-dashing, I intended to bring dinner back to my wife at home. I personally frequent this location during the day every so often and never had any severe issues. Overall my experiences were typically friendly, quick and accurate. The woman at the intercom tonight however was rude, disrespectful, and impatient. I listened to the experience of the customers in front of me that were ordering and each of them were audibly stressed with the way they were being spoken to. The way she spoke to me, I never even got to successfully order my food. This was the worst experience I have ever had at any fast food restaurant, and that disappoints me. As a previous employee and manager for McDonalds in multiple locations spanning Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York, I have a full understanding of the importance that McDonalds takes into customer service and efficiency with a smile. This employee failed to do any of that. It’s goes without saying, I will never visit this location again.
Always great service except for today. Employee named Rene was very rude when requesting payment for order, I couldnt believe she was talking to me that way I was waiting for her to say she was joking. I made a mobile order when I got to the window I said I didnt need a receipt and she said well you cant get one anyways bc u havent paid me yet. I showed her on the app the proof of payment and that I didnt have the card with me but it said it went thru even showed her the email receipt. She continued to tell me the screen is prompting her to get payment so are you going to pay or not bc I cant wait all day I need you to pay for this order so how are you paying you need to pay now theres cars behind you. I looked at her and said you are very rude I will cancel my order right now thank you and left. Please you need to train that lady better bc not even the young kids give that type of service! Very unprofessional!
me and my friends went through the drive thru and INSTANTLY was given an attitude by this lady, as if we were a bother to her. my friend (17) did not hear what she said thru the speaker and asked her to repeat the order and the old lady (grayish hair, heavyset) immediately yelled at my friend. i felt so uncomfortable and will not be going at night anymore due to her behavior. it made me feel very upset……. all the other staff are great, especially alex!!!! however that one lady completely ruined my life. i hope that she could be like alex and the other coworkers!!!!
Could not see the menu due to the glare from the sun. The rude young lady taking my order gave me an attitude when I asked what sizes the meal came in. I don’t frequent McDonnalds so maybe she should consider that when taking orders. Or she should not be talking to customers. Rude for no reason. I only gave it 1 star because I had to. Ordered 6 sandwiches online and received 4 chicken nuggets. Update - Tried ordering again because we are human and mistakes happen. Received an iced coffee and ten nuggets. Highly suggest avoiding this location unless you want chicken nuggets and random items.
Closed 1 hr before they are told waited at drive thru just to be told they were closed while other people ordered In front of me and then called and all they said was sorry we are closed and hung up
Drive thru experience was horrible, employee's flipping others off in front of costumer! Food was cold and I don't mean even luke warm hard and cold. This place is going down hill! I do not care to ever go back. This is not my first experience from this Location.

They were so busy with customers they couldn't have the help to service the customers who wanted to place orders. If they had 32 customers at the end of the year, and each wanted to place a $8 order or more, that's over $200 they lose in revenue. But then again its Mcdonalds they can afford to loose customers.

Was told to move ahead to wait for the food. Was waiting and waiting. They gave my food to someone else ! I had to wait again for my order. When I got to my location to eat the filet o fish was only a fish patty on a bun !!! My son ordered the buttermilk tenders and they forgot the bbq sauce !
McDonaltd's has the most amazing french fries, over any other fast dood restaurants. On my way home work around 1am I began to crave some of McD's fries. That I even did a u turn to ho get my French fries. I was really excited about my fries while ordering through the drive through. Once i got my orders of fries I was on my way and happy. Finally i'm on the road driving home, then I go for the fries and boom; my freaking fries were cold like they have been sitting there for an hour. Now you all must know how I feel, that my freaking fries are cold as the artic. That was my worst experience of my fries and the worst part was that the person that handed me the fries was the manager. Never again will I go to that McDonald's.
Drive through is fine. NEVER EVER get a curbside pick up. The waitors were the worst. Waited for a long time and the food were all a mess. I would never do a curbside pick up again. The app suggested curbside as it is more convenient, but the experience was like hell. I didn't order a whole lot but they delayed the order on purpose. They bring obviously too many orders out to finish all the curbside orders at once, no matter who comes first, and as expected, made a MESS.

Foods trash and this location is as well in particular foods never right everyone has attitudes. It's all good just won't go back to this location.
Quite frankly i am upset with this service. Workers were rude and talking about random customers calling them "gluttonous and big" Quite frankly this chain needs to reconsider who they hire. i bought a large smoothie and they were talking about how they don't have time for this and filled half of it with ice. quite frankly if i wanted ice in my drink i would've gotten a slushie. absolute tom foolery

Absolutely terrible! Ordered 2 iced teas and a coffee with milk at the drive thru. I watched as he filled the cups with “ iced tea”, looked like super weak lemonade. He poured 2 and handed them to us. I took a sip, walked inside and and told them it tasted like water. They seemed shocked! It looked nothing like iced tea!! The manager gave me 2 new ones that looked the same, I said, it looked the same, he said he would give me a different drink….. they were like there was nothing wrong with it! Guess they are cutting back on tea bags! I left, oh, and the coffee was ice cold!!! One less customer.
Worst service by the night shift old lady. I was picking up an DoorDash order. First I went to the front door and ring the bell and no one answered. So I decided to use the drive thru and I spoke to this lady and she was like she couldn’t hear me after I repeated 3 times I was picking up an order. Then she told me to go back and ring the bell, she had an rude attitude talking to me like if I was doing something wrong or being disrespectful to her. It seems not to be the first time people complaints about her and she still working there!
This place is an absolute joke of a McDonalds because of their night workstaff. As I'm doing a delivery for uber eats I drove up to the drive-through like any regular person and told then I'm here to pick up and uber eats order, was given complete attitude by the old lady behind the speaker and was told to come up to the door and ring the bell for my order. Asked if it was even being prepared yet at the least while I go around but she stated I don't know come to the front still with attitude (she needs to learn how to get a grip and have better customer service). Go to the the door, mind you, that "line" that I passed by only had 3 cars in it and this was around 11:47. I go to the door and rang the doorbell, nobody answers. Rang it again and lady responded and got the order number. I didn't receive my order till 12:25 and was claimed that the workstaff is understaffed. I don't care how understaffed the establishment is, it's the fact that I had to wait for well more than 35minutes just got me to get an order that consisted of a simple big Mac, 2 frostys and medium fries but yet it was impossible to put together because it was "busy" when I stated myself that when I pulled up to the drive-through there were only 3 cars, pretty they handled well over those amounts of car, probably 10times over till I ended up getting the order. The workers here are a joke and the wait time is unbelievable, the fact that I have to wait inside and not on the line is terrible because the workstaff could give less of a care about the orders that have to be delivered and this wasn't even the first time or the other deliver drivers first time either. At this point give the drivers the option to be on the drive-thru line because it is insane that the wait time was 35minutes inside the store because the people don't worry about uber or doordash orders and its supposed to be faster for us to hit the doorbell and get our orders if there is a line but in this specific of a lost location, its faster to just wait on the line since they have to be helped and we are seen as not a priority at all shown by their attitudes. To the lady who helped me at 12:25 giving me the order, she was the nice one, the other 2, the older lady and the one with the glasses, they need to be either retrained or fired because they are both horrible at customer service and dismays people in belittling fashion which is not what the customer service industry is needing. If I can give a place negative stars, it would be this one.
Came here with my kids for a quick bite in-between practice and waited over 30 min and order was wrong. Had to just deal with it cause we were in a hurry. No one to talk to cause they're all in the back. I never write reviews but this was terrible.

Employee was apparently not well trained. I ordered sundae through drive-through but they gave me shakes. I inquired to change back to sundae. They did without refunding me - there was a one-dollar difference. I mentioned the sundae was cheaper but the girl was just like, oh they are similar price… when I got home I found they forgot to put in the sauce I ordered for the chicken nuggets!!

This McDonald's has one of the worst services. So many times, they got my orders wrong, missing food and drinks. One time, they took 25 minutes for 2 big mac orders at the store, and they were not even busy! I also ordered online for pick up and they had absolutely no idea how to handle the online order. 4 people approached me with 4 different stories from "someone picked up the food already", "we didn't receive the order", "the order was sent to another McDonald's", and "someone is preparing right now". I ended up waiting for another 15 minutes to pick up the online order. Everytime I went to this McDonald's, I get the impression that the workers at this McDonald's have abolustely no clue how to handle anything. The corporate needs better job training the workers. I rather drive another 20 min to go another McDonald's than ever going back to this place. What a joke!
This is the WORST mcdonalds on Long Island. It needs a total u-haul. They were missing 3 items from our order and what we did receive looked like was thrown on the floor, stepped on & then served to us. Literally, the burger was cut in half, everything was burnt to crisp, the big macs had NO pickles, lettuce, sauce or onion. Lucky we got the bun. We called the store to complain and the associate actually laughed & said "yeah i got you i'll make your burger better next time". Is this a joke to you people?? The whole facility needs to be shut down
They didn’t say anything about the McFlurry being unavailable, and just handed us a slip of paper that said “free McFlurry.” We never even heard anything about this, and we ordered specifically to get a McFlurry, so this makes no sense. So we called them, and they said the coupon can only be used at that store, and they absolutely refused to give us a refund. They were extremely rude, so I’d recommend just going somewhere else.
Ive ordered twice in the past 3 weeks from this location since it was on my way home. The first time I got a quarter pounder with cheese. When I got home, that was one of the most pitiful and unappetizing burger Ive ever seen. The patty was burned, dry, and as thin (probably thinner) than a kids meal hamburger. Went back, showed them. Had gotten attitude by the staff, and recieved another one that looked practically the same. (I have no options to add the photos to this review). And the person who was at the window, handed me my mobile order receipt, and closed the window and walked away. Didn't even give me a second to tell him I had also placed an order with the mobile order. I had also asked for ketchup packets when I ordered at the speaker. Not a single one was in my bag. Tonight, my sister put in a mobile order and I ordered just fries and a 20 piece nugget. I put in for the new buffalo ranch sauce, and 2 creamy chili sauces. I recieved not one single sauce. Its 20 piece chicken nuggets. How do you not include any sauce? And again, another employee hands me my order (this time) told me to have a goodnight. Then closed the window and walked away. I still saw him. He was not doing anything. Waited a good minute before he came back and asked if I had the mobile order. I could understand if he was doing something, but he walked away and didnt even give me the change to ask for anything. Ive worked in fast food. I was a manager for 3 years. I know things happen and mistakes can be made. But this was 2 completely separate visits in a row. Im tired from work, and I dont want to have to get in my car and drive back and all the way home. All I know from this location is the staff does not care what they are serving or how they serve it, and they would rather pretend you are not there after they are done "dealing" with you.
service was bad. i went in with 3 other people and it took 20 minutes for the first order to come in while other peoples orders (who came after us) were made immediately. the rest of the orders came in 30 minutes later but only after we went up 3 times to ask about it. not only that but the fries and nuggets were cold. we saw them messing around back there a few times idk man it didnt seem too busy either
Placed an order on the McDonald’s app, when I got there, the store didn’t seem that busy, there were only about 4-5 cars in line, but the manager was rushing everyone and they messed up my order some of the things I ordered was not in the bag and when I go on the app no help either!
They never make your order right and the manager never wants to talk to you after 3pm... Im filing a complaint. The manager just walks away when I try to talk to him but the employee at the window actual wants to help even tho he cant do nothing about it. They never follow your food order!
Every other time i order from here i always get the caramel frappe, and everytime without fail they give me a broken cup with a slit on the side. Its hard to notice it with the naked eye, But when you put it in the cup holder and lift it you have caramel frappe all over your cup holder.
It’s amazing how the simplest job — putting the food I paid for in a bag — can be messed up over and over again. Drive Thru, mobile order, get home, and surprise: something’s missing. Call the store? You get the same careless, ‘bring your receipt back’ script, as if customers’ free time exists solely for their irresponsibility. No refund, no delivery, just their mistake and wasted money. If attention to detail is too much to ask, maybe double-checking an order should be part of your ‘fast food’ training.”
