I've lived in Philadelphia for the last 7 years and I've been to the best ramen joints in Chinatown but this spot right here in Suffolk County might just be the best bang for buck japanese restaurant I've been to in the US. Every appetizer that we ordered was so good! Every single one of them, no exceptions! Got the spicy ramen and my goodness the broth!! Tasted like heaven. Do yourself a favor go enjoy the food here!! I'll be coming to the Smith Haven mall just to eat from here for the next 3 years

Delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. Loss of a star is only because the bell that goes off whenever somebody walks in or out the door is obnoxiously loud and was rather annoying while dining in.

The staff were friendly, and the dining area was spacious. After ordering, you get a buzzer and pick up your food and drinks when they’re ready. I tried the curry katsu don, it was good and had that standard Japanese curry flavor, it came with quite a lot of rice. I also got the Sunset drink (pomegranate orange green tea), but it was a bit too sweet for my taste, and I couldn’t really taste the orange. I would recommend getting half sugar for their drinks.

# Overall: Iron Ramen seems to be a great establishment to visit for an affordable filling meal. The portion sizes are extremely generous. # Ambiance This place sports a self-service style where you order and pick up the food yourself. You'll also be in charge of cleaning up after yourself too. # Food and Drink Introduced to me by some friends that continually praise this place for it's kaarage don, I had to visit with them and try for myself. Lavender Milk Tea The milk tea comes with tapioca and is pretty sweet. The Pineapple Passion Fruit smoothie and the Rose Lychee smoothie were better beverage choices. Kaarage Don The main attraction. There is a lot of chicken and a lot of rice. I wouldn't exactly classify the fried chicken as kaarage, but the flavor is still decent. The red ginger is an optional topping included by default. Personally, it's too strong of a flavor and ends up taking away from the overall dish, so I would ask to omit it.

Great ramen spot! I had the spicy miso ramen with the ground pork which was pretty spicy in my opinion, good mix of flavors, I really enjoyed it! My girlfriend had the kara-age chicken bowl which was delicious, crispy juicy chicken…rice and sauce were also great! The noodles & broth were pretty good too and a good amount (2 small kids can def share one). Great value overall. Less than $50 for dinner for 2 adults and a kid is hard to find nowadays. Service was good, it’s pretty much self service once you pick up your food from the counter…food came out quickly. Also had the pineapple passion fruit tea which was good! It’s kid friendly with high chairs and little sharing bowls available.

I thought it was okay. I think Slurp in Port Jeff is better and I would have liked the lights to be a little brighter inside. The ramen was okay and the place was spacious. However the curry and beef bowls are pretty great.

I just came for tea. Prices are reasonable. Quick and efficient. Staff are nice. Did not like my drink even though it looked pretty. Nice sitting area.

Food is good but there is no heat and the chairs and uncomfortable which makes the experience uncomfortable. On a freezing day when u want hot soup i wouldnt recommend going there unless u want to freeze to death. Soup is good tho; get it to go!

I’ve been here many times, I always order the same spicy ramen with extra veggies no protein and the honey tea with pineapple jelly. Sometimes I get the pork bao buns too. This time, the staff completely messed up my drink order and then treated me with unbelievable rudeness when I tried to correct it. I walked in, ordered my usual, and at the end of my order they misheard me and made a honeydew tea instead of the honey tea I always get. When I politely pointed it out to the guy handing me my food, the guy who took my order literally stopped helping another customer just to argue with me in front of everyone. He insisted he repeated the order back to me, but honestly, I was exhausted and not paying full attention because I had a long day at work. Maybe he did. I don’t really care. It was a simple misunderstanding that could’ve been easily fixed with some basic courtesy. Instead, they doubled down, made me feel embarrassed, handed the wrong drink to another customer who looked confused, and never once apologized or tried to make it right. They just didn’t care at all. I had to ask for my food to go because I felt so uncomfortable staying there. And they still didn’t even try to help pack it up properly. Honestly, with so many ramen places around, treating customers like this is just unacceptable. Especially during the holidays, a little kindness goes a long way. This place really let me down, and I won’t be back until they learn how to treat people decently.

Gyoza was very good but deep fried and the sauce was too sweet. Akin to something you’d find on a bar menu Melon pineapple iced tea tasted like a bath and body works, but it’s on me for ordering that. The reason I am writing this review however, is because that ground pork bowl was the worst meal I’ve had in a very long time. The marinaded pork was flavorless. it didn’t even taste like pork, and the “marinade” was just red oil that also didn’t taste like anything. The meat was somehow chalky. Like it was pureed and then clumped back together like cat food. A texture like wet meat dust. Really unappetizing. After eating half of it I left hungry after throwing it away. Dish wasn’t remotely spicy, yet here I write this the next morning from my toilet wishing for the sweet release of death. I’m pretty sure the pork was bad.
