Bellissimo ristorante sull'isola dei pescatori nel cuore del Lago Maggiore. Location bella e ben curata, con una vista spettacolare e tanti tanti posti a sedere. Personale gentilissimo e cordiale che sa consigliarti a dovere a seconda dei gusti. Menù ricco di pietanze di lago ma non mancano di certo le proposte classiche o i piatti a base di carne. Il loro antipasto di degustazione di pesci di lago è ottimo, come il risotto e anche le crespelle vegetariane; il fiore all'occhiello però, secondo me, è il Coregone, cotto semplicemente alla piastra, di una bontà assurda! La qualità delle materie prime è alta e si sente. Per concludere in bellezza abbiamo preso 3 dolci dalla carta e, secondo me, la loro Creme Brulé rientra nella top 3 tra quelle che ho provato fino ad ora. Posto davvero super consigliato, bravi!

Ottimo locale in cui mangiare diversi piatti a base di pesce di lago. Ottima la posizione con vista lago. Una delle tante note positive è dato dal personale: molto disponibili e gentili. Il risotto Borromeo è il piatto che consiglio assolutamente di provare, così come i pesciolini (davvero buoni). Buoni i prezzi e ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. L'unica nota dolente è la mancanza di aria condizionata nel locale, necessaria in giornate torride. Buono il dolce della casa: tiramisù al cocco e ananas. Esperienza positiva. Ritornerò!

Sempre 5 stelle. Intramontabile. La cortesia e la gentilezza del personale fanno da padrone con una qualità del pesce molto alta. Locale con location unica e meravigliosa, una panoramica sul golfo Borromeo regala sempre un’emozione unica. Il cibo ha una qualità davvero alta, fresco e cucinato con una attenzione al dettaglio. Eccellente ristorante. Abbiamo pranzato a un tavolo esterno (su prenotazione che consiglio assolutamente)in un contesto delizioso, sotto gli alberi e con vista lago. Nonostante il pienone siamo stati serviti in tempi accettabili da personale cortese e disponibile. Tra le altre portate menziono la misticanza di trota regina di una delicatezza e un sapore eccezionali. A mio avviso il miglior pesce che abbia mangiato. A costo di rifare due ore di viaggio ci torno....
Il ristorante è situato in una location magnifica. La struttura è indiscutibilmente stupenda e curatissima. I prezzi sono perfettamente adeguati a un menù davvero ricco di prelibatezze. Queste prime considerazioni sono nulla in confronto al buonissimo pesce di lago freschissimo, presentato sempre in piatti eleganti e raffinati. Quello che più ci rimarrà nel cuore, però, è il gusto genuino che si assapora grazie alla grande passione, alla gentilezza e alla professionalità dimostrata da tutti coloro che lavorano al Ristorante Italia. Grazie di cuore per questa esperienza!

Meraviglioso pranzo vista lago, a base del suo pesce. Ottimo l'antipasto ed il primo. Complimenti per la frolla della crostata, mai mangiata una più friabile.

Storico ristorante a gestione familiare situato sull'isola dei pescatori, ti vengono a prendere e ti riportano sulla terraferma con il loro battello. Abbiamo cenato in riva al lago a pochi metri dall'acqua e fidandoci dei consigli abbiamo optato per un menù interamente a base di pesce di lago. Buonissimo oltre ogni aspettativa. Il servizio è stato eccellente, discreta la carta dei vini, adeguato il prezzo. Consigliatissimo.
Una certezza per mangiare del buon pesce di lago! Ci sono tornato l'11 settembre per il mio compleanno. Tutto impeccabile, accoglienza, servizio, cibo! Il giorno dopo guardando il conto ho visto che mi avevano addebitato 2 bottiglie di vino. Ho chiamato per segnalare l'errato addebito. La signora che ha risposto al telefono si è scusate chiedendo un iban per rimborare la somma, ho preferito fornire il mio indirizzo email per avere una loro email quale buono sconto per la prossima visita. Non è ancora pervenuta.
Pranzo con pesce di lago ottimo, atmosfera accogliente e personale gentilissimo e attento al cliente. Il fritto misto di pesce di lago abbondante, leggero e davvero con un gusto delicato, esaltato e che offre modo di apprezzare la qualità della materia prima. Non posso aggiungere altro! Divinamente! Motoscafo di Natale verso l’Isola di Luci – Presepi e sapori sull’Isola dei Pescatori: una serata davvero speciale, di quelle che restano. In occasione dell’evento delle luci, abbiamo prenotato la cena al Ristorante Italia, sull’omonima isola, e già l’arrivo sull’acqua, tra riflessi e atmosfere natalizie, prometteva qualcosa di unico. Io, che non amo particolarmente il pesce – tantomeno quello di lago – devo dire che qui me lo hanno fatto letteralmente amare. Piatti di pesce di lago divinamente cucinati, curati nella presentazione e raccontati con passione dal titolare: una persona loquace, piacevole e profondamente coinvolgente. Come il resto della famiglia, certo, ma lui in modo particolare ha saputo guidarci, con entusiasmo e competenza, nella scelta di ciò che avevano di meglio da offrire. Le foto parlano chiaro e raccontano molto, anche se non riescono a restituire fino in fondo le emozioni vissute a tavola. Dulcis in fundo, la scoperta che il ristorante offre anche il servizio di trasporto in barca da e per Baveno e Stresa, andata e ritorno. Una barca pilotata dal figlio: un dettaglio che fa la differenza e rende l’esperienza ancora più intima, completa e suggestiva. Una serata fatta di luci che danzano sull’acqua, sapori autentici e persone vere. Una di quelle da portare con sé, a lungo.
Cibo molto buono. Abbiamo preso il risotto alla borromea con pesce di lago, veramente particolare e poi per dolce una bonnet al cioccolato e il dolce del giorno che consisteva in un budino alla zucca, anche questo buono e particolare. Ambiente stupendo e suggestivo. Servizio così così, un po' freddo e frettoloso.

Fantastico ristorante sull’Isola Pescatori! Sono venuti a prenderci a Baveno con il loro battello e ci hanno riaccompagnati a fine serata, già questa piccola gita è molto piacevole. Tutti i piatti che abbiamo assaggiato erano super curati e gustosi, dagli antipasti ai dessert! Io ho assaggiato l’antipasto di misticanza e trota, risotto alla Borromeo come primo e poi il dolce di zabaione. Molto professionale e cordiale il personale. Prezzi giusti! L’isola è incantevole
Io, mio marito e la nostra cagnolina abbiamo pranzato ieri in questo locale. Sono stati tutti molto gentili e hanno risposto ad ogni mia richiesta. Consigliatissimo il risotto alla borromeo. Ci torneremo.

Fried fish and grilled fish were incredible, we got the French fries and the mixed grilled vegetables to share. Dessert highly recommend the Lemon Tart/cake and my wife had the affogato which was lovely.
If you really want to enjoy the island (and not just be another hectic tourist), take some time in the early afternoon, look for a table on the terrace, and sit down for a proper meal. I recommend to start with the assorted marinated fish for starters, and then have the risotto. They know how to cook fish here! You can also have a glas of the white house wine with it, trust me, it goes well with it. The service is super friendly, once they realize that you actually want to taste their quality and experience in fish. I also saw some ice cream bowls for dessert being served. I did not have any, but they sure looked great. Prices are reasonable, considering the location.
Wonderful restaurant, very very busy, plenty of room inside & outside but was full to bursting, I would say make a reservation. Service was good, food excellent. We sat inside with a lovely view over the lake.

Service was attentive without ever feeling rushed — every detail was noticed, from refilling water glasses promptly to checking in at just the right moments. The food was outstanding — each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, clearly made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can tell there’s real care in the kitchen. Portions were generous, and the balance of taste, texture, and aroma was spot on. What made it even more special was the atmosphere — warm, inviting, and relaxed, yet with a touch of elegance that made the evening feel like a treat. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are this consistently excellent. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back!
Phenomenal food - so fresh, delicate flavours, well balanced. We thought it might be expensive and bland as it is the first restaurant you see from the boat but every dish was fantastic. The service was a bit slow as they were very busy but it's gorgeous to sit on the waterfront and watch everything go by. Would absolutely recommend.
Amazing views as you sit right next to the water on this cute island. We didn’t have a booking and they were easily able to seat us inside. Most items are seafood based, we got the fish ravioli and the fish tagliatelle. Both was delicious, I loved the sauce with the ravioli. Definitely a great pit stop while exploring Isola Pescatori.
Wow The host of our accommodation recommended this restaurant. Everything was excellent, from the ease of the phone call to make the reservation in English, to the punctuality of the boat that brought us to the island, to the service and the food. It was a celebration of lake fish. We had a tasting menu and it was excellent Very interesting was to prepare different fish served cold as the first course. A super creamy and tasty fish risotto and lovely filet to finish. The desserts were also lovely. Staff were very helpful trying to explain what we were eating and the type of fish. Overall a brilliant evening

It is Isola Pescatori, so you should eat fish. Great local seafood options for antipasta and secondi. Good local wine list helped by owner to match with your food. Great spot for a relaxing for a long lunch....
A great place to eat for your day of sightseeing. Excellent view, outstanding food and fair price. €2 service charge pp. service was average. I don’t hesitate to recommend.
Best restaurant on the island! Overall an amazing experience, the view is fantastic and service is extremely attentive and professional! Food is delicious and the fish was super fresh, the restaurant is owned by a family that has lived on the island for ages and they are fishermen too! Lake fish antipasto is to die for and the lemon cake is the best I have ever tried.
Lovely family run restaurant aon the Fishermens Island. We often organize lunches or donners for clients and guests are always happy. Not far from the shores of Lake Maggiore. Excelent value for money with a garden for outside dining. We arranged and event with music wirth 200 guests hiring an additional marquee and it was a huge success. È la seconda volta che mangiamo al ristorante Italia, e ancora mi meraviglio della qualità dei piatti. Naturalmente consigliatissimi i piatti con il pesce di lago, freschissimo e preparato per esaltare i suoi sapori. Piatti anche semplici vengono esaltati con abbinamenti che fanno esplodere i sapori.
Bel ristorante situato sull'Isola dei Pescatori, lago Maggiore. La terrazza su cui abbiamo pranzato ha una vista splendida sul lago, atmosfera rilassante. Servizio veloce e cortese. Con una bellissima terrazza verandata che si affaccia sul lago, il ristorante si presenta come una chicca in coda all'Isola dei Pescatori. Siamo riusciti a trovare posto nonostante fosse il primo dell'anno e senza prenotazione; il servizio è stato molto cordiale e curato. Abbiamo provato il risotto alla borromea con persico, specialità della casa, e i pesciolini fritti, in gran quantità! Tutto molto gustoso ed equilibrato. Il conto un po' caro, ma vista la location non ci aspettavamo diversamente. Peccato per qualche disattenzione nel servizio, al quale abbiamo dovuto chiedere più volte alcune cose, capibile data la ressa di quella giornata.
Service was a bit slow and spotty, but they were busy. The mixed lake fish grill was unadulterated and so fresh. As was the roasted veggies and boiled potatoes. The view of the lake completed the scene.

We arrived early so it wasn't crowded yet. We had fish and lasagna, both were OK, not amazing but good. The personal was friendly and spoke English. At the end the dessert took a very long time to come probably because at this point the restaurant was already very full. It's a big place with lots of tables inside and a great view outside. The lemon pie is actually lemon cake and I was expecting something else but it was still tasty. In general a positive experience.

Il cibo è nella media, nulla di speciale, e i prezzi sono un po’ alti rispetto alla qualità offerta. Tuttavia, la vista sul lago è davvero splendida e rappresenta il vero punto forte di questo ristorante. Ideale se cercate un luogo con un panorama suggestivo.

DO NOT EAT HERE. It’s hard to find a bad meal in Italy but this is the place. Dry as a husk overcooked fish - inedible and left it on the plate . Harder than hard beyond al dente risotto. Wine glass rim was dirty with someone else’s lipstick on it. When we pointed it out after the wine was poured from the bottle, it was taken away. No reduction given for the wine they threw away. Slow terrible service. Senior staff not interested in our comments. No apology or reduction given. Tourist trap money grab restaurant. Avoid. Would give 1 star but 2 stars is worse for their rating.

Nonostante rassicurazioni ricevute telefonicamente, in fase di prenotazione, circa opzioni disponibili per un vegano. Le uniche opzioni si sono rivelate queste in foto, oltre a delle verdure grigliate.
Ci siamo recati all’isola dei pescatori per le luci di Natale e abbiamo atteso il tramonto facendo merenda con i bambini al caldo Non potevamo scegliere posto peggiore I tavoli all’interno avevano tutti le tovaglie macchiate La cioccolata ci è stata servita in bicchieri di carta con cucchiaino di plastica e alla fine ci siamo accorti che veniva perfino versata da un secchiello di plastica (tipo quelli della vernice) Il tutto per ben 5€ a cioccolata! Vado spesso al lago e alle isole e in anni non mi era mai successo di ricevere un servizio del genere
Terrible experience Ristorante Italia Isola del Pescatore ! I'm usually happy to pay more for quality, but this was just ridiculous. The antipasti were criminally overpriced – we're talking about a few bites for an absurd amount of money. Then the main courses arrived, and they were a joke. Portions were incredibly small, barely enough to feed a child, let alone an adult who's paying premium prices. It felt like we were being scammed. Definitely not worth the money, and we left feeling hungry and ripped off. Save your cash and go somewhere else."
