This restaurant is wonderful yes it’s a little small and the parking can be a bit of an inconvenience but it’s so worth it! The service was absolutely amazing we had miss lily for a server it felt like we were at home and like I had known her forever she was so sweet and kind and even took time to explain things I ordered the pho noodles and a orange chicken and rice I highly recommend the flavor was amazing everything was on point I know everyone has their own opinions but the pho was so good I won’t get it anywhere else. Shout out to the gentleman in the back doing suck a wonderful job thank y’all so so much. I hope this review helps don’t be shy go try the food it’s absolutely worth it and if not for the food the service 😌

Me and my twin went here today and I had never had Thai food in my life! Waitress was nice and was very helpful and actually excited to offer us recommendations after we asked. Food was delicious and we had a good time there. I will definitely come back!

Great food, I jad the drunken noodles are outstanding, the heat was perfect, my wife had the yellow curry she loved ias. The staff was fun and very nice. We had a good time with good food. I would say it is the best place to eat in downtown Sulphur Springs.

Our sweet waitress was very kind and attentive. She related to the chef our desire for little to no oil. The chef accommodated our request and we had a very refreshing, uniquely tasty meal. We both finished our plate. The menu items are titled as meat dishes but the small print explains they will substitute tofu or veggies for a vegetarian meal. The prices are so affordable.

I ordered Tom Kha soup w pork and Yellow Curry w shrimp. Both were amazing. The Thai tea was also good. What the restaurant lacks in atmosphere it compensates in quality. So nice to find this good of Thai food outside of DFW.

What an incredible little Thai spot! I can't say enough good. The food was amazing. The service was incredible. I ordered the Spicy Thai Basil and was given a spicy scale, as Thai food can be unexpectedly spicy. She gave me a side of spice, just in case it wasn't hot enough. Mom had the Thai style Vegetable Stir Fry and was very pleased. The sauces were great. The rice was perfect. The Edamame was excellent. I highly recommend the Thai tea. The lady that waited on us absolutely made the experience and I highly recommend Sweet Rice Loa-Thai. The food was amazing but the lady waiting on us was the real treat! We even left having learned a little Thai!! Kob Kun Ka!!!

Stopped by returning home from a trip. The food was really good and at a great value especially the pad thai. You can choose different spice levels. Our server was incredibly nice and it's a great spot to eat at downtown.

Our first time to eat here and we absolutely loved it! We ordered steamed pot stickers, Thai Spicy Basil w/chicken and fried rice, Orange Chicken with steamed rice. The food was fresh and delicious! I loved that they offered plain tea in addition to flavored. Service was quick, staff were friendly! Must try for sure, a hidden gem, we’ll be back!

I recently ordered catering from Sweet Rice Lao for a work meeting, and I couldn’t be more impressed! The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and made to order. Everything arrived right on time, and there was plenty for everyone to enjoy. The service was top-notch from start to finish, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Sweet Rice Lao for anyone in need of quality catering. They truly exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be ordering again!

The food and service is amazing! We got the steamed dumplings, pork eggrolls, and beef pho, and all of the food was absolutely phenomenal! We will definitely be coming back and making this a frequent stop for date nights.

The server is very friendly. We only had Thai milk tea and mango sticky rice since we found the place after we had lunch. We enjoyed what we had and look forward to visiting the place again❤️❤️

Absolutely delicious yellow curry and pad Thai. The yellow curry spice level 2 (you can choose 1-5) was the best I’ve ever had. That and our server was very kind. Great place.

Updated Review: Service has truly improved and we haven’t gotten a bad dish since. Pho is always amazing. Can’t find another one close that is nearly as good! Typically great food, but they have got to find more servers! Possibly more cooks? A help wanted sign would be super useful. We waited 10 minutes for a table before anyone came from the back. Now we’re sitting here, it’s been 43 minutes and still haven’t received a water. It’s hot out, I’m pregnant, and this is unacceptable. We’ve asked 3 separate times for 2 waters. Putting a table of 10’s order in the computer was apparently more important. Just received our spring rolls & they’re burnt…. No plates were given either.

A small, quaint lil place kinda hidden in the middle of everything. Very nice staff and legit, authentic Thai food (family is from thailand, so...) we will definitely go back! If you want authentic Thai food.. this is as close as it gets (aside from Noodle Wave in McKinney).

What can I say! This little hole in the wall is hands down full of flavor and great hospitality! First timer and definitely earned a customer . Not from sulphar springs but will definitely make a drive to get this quality again .

If you're looking for good quality meals downtown at cheaper prices than that in this economy, unfortunately, you're fooling yourself. Some meat and veggie dishes look smaller because it comes with a big portion of white rice. Mixed together you get a good amount of food. Noodle dishes are massive and tasty. My family and I have tried 4 different noodle dishes, steak with peppers, fried rice, pho, spring rolls, etc. Never disappointed. Gives you a great change of pace from other restaurants in the area. Good for a healthier or gluten free/dairy free options as well! Also OPEN ON MONDAYS. Not just meat and bread. As for wait times, they're trying to hire and struggling to find people it seems. Theyre busy at meal times when ive gone and i see a lot of smiling faces, including the waiter who has a fantastic handlebar mustache. So be patient! Small indoor space with about 6 tables but plenty of seating outside with heaters when it gets cold. For quality, price, and flavor, one of the best international options in SS.

An absolute must when in Sulphur Springs! We have been coming here nearly every Saturday for the past year for the pho. It’s easily the best I’ve had in a very long time. I got a beef pad see ew level 1 spice. It was very flavorful and it was good. The portion size was somewhat small. Great service by the nice lady running the register. It's a small store with indoor and outdoor seating.

The pork egg rolls not pictured are good. We both enjoyed our meals. The place is small inside but the food is prepared fast and it’s fresh when you get it. The parking due to the downtown area is a pain. You can park by the old library and walk down to their place. We will order again. I wish they had a panang curry it’s our favorite… we usually drive in to Dallas to get it. Maybe they will add some new items later on.

The sauce they served with it was even better than the riblet sauce over all the food was good just not overwhelming. The location used to be a wine bar with a fenced courtyard. The fence has been removed. The waitress was hustling as she was the only waitress working, and there were three other groups there. It's a nice restaurant. I like it it beats all the "chinese" food places in town.

Red Curry at #4 spicy. Wow. Great flavor with spicy kick. Thai chicken fried rice #3 spicy, good. Could use little more seasoning or soy, kinda bland for me. Definitely will take the 45 minute drive again.

I ordered the combination fried rice which was around 16 dollars. Overall the food was solid but the portion sizes are too small to justify the price. I’d probably return if I knew I received more food.

Hi I'll stary by saying that this place is great front end is very nice have never had a bad experience. The only place around her that actually brews there Thai tea witch is great. Only problem is . There fried pot stickers arnt actually fried. I ordedd them a couple days ago and they were soggy and rubbery with no crisp. I called and they have me a remake for the order woth no problem but when I got them the next day they were rubbery aging and the edges were tough like they were old and were microwaved. The store was empty so the excuse not to make them fresh was not there

Wanted a low key dinner for myself and I always enjoy Thai food. I knew when I walked in the door that I probably picked wrong. It did not have any indicators of a traditional Thai restaurant. I would have snuck out but…there’s only 6 tables in the whole place and I was standing in the middle of them all. There were 3 of the 6 tables occupied so I thought maybe it’s not so bad. I sit down and order red curry and Thai tea. The tea was what I expected, but the curry was rough. It had an overwhelming tomato flavor and a chalky aftertaste. It did not have any sweetness from coconut milk at all. I really enjoy the sweet and spicy of red curry. This was not curry. There was a young man vaping right next to me, not the end of the world, but I wouldn’t do it. I’m not a resident of Sulphur Springs so I am not sure what is allowed or socially acceptable. Just didn’t seem like the place for it in such a small restaurant. I couldn’t tell if he was an employee or just hanging out. The server was very nice but definitely reflected the “laid back” attitude of Sweet Rice. May be a cool chill spot for young people but not what I was hoping for when I decided on Thai food.

The last few times we visited the sulphur springs location, The red head waitress was very rude. she said she was tired and over worked after refusing to serve us around 7pm saying they close in an hour, when they actually close at 9. On one occasion, she Slammed our plates down. We were blown away and left disappointed about one of our favourite restaurants.

I was going to eat here one night over Thanksgiving . I walked in and the restaurant was dirty. Tables and seats had not been cleaned. Food crumbs were everywhere and tables looked sticky. This is a tiny restaurant so there was no reason to not be clean. The one person who was working couldn’t have cared less if there were customers or not. She was leaned over the counter glued to her phone. The back area/kitchen was dark so I don’t know how food would have been prepared. If the health inspector had gone by they would have shut the place down.

Closed permanently, looks like due to fire. There is do not cross evidence tape across the front door.
