Absolutely loved this place - everything from the food, to the service, to the homey local restaurant atmosphere was perfect. The chipa and cocido were delicious as are their empanadas. Our waitress Rita was such a sweetheart and so knowledgeable, would definitely come back! Saludos❤️

Delicious food with friendly service. The empanadas and the yucas were light and tasty. The cultet for two was more than enough for two. Everything wasn't greasy at all which I applaud.Sometimes you really wish the food wasn't as oily and this place delivered. Other reviewers recommended the Chipa Guazu and I recommend it as well! It's like a creamy corn filled bread. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I never had Paraguay food and I am so happy to have tried this spot. They have DELICIOUS and fresh empanadas! My favorite is the spinach and cheese empanada. The beef with egg, chicken with egg, and cheese empanadas are AMAZING. They also have a mini empanadas sampler option with 3 croquettes. Definitely recommend coming here for empanadas. I am sure their other items on the menu are just as good.

Very nice family owned restaurant in Sunnyside. They offer typical Paraguayan food and the prices are very decent. We shared the chipa guazu (cheese corn soufflé), a mix of empanadas - beef, ham and cheese and chicken, the Picada de Carne y Chorizo and dessert and the food was delicious and more than enough for three people.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and ordered the milanesa with ham and cheese. It was absolutely delicious! The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff, and the atmosphere was beautiful. To top it off, the tres leches was incredible—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Definitely worth it!

It was awesome! Lovely place, nice service and love the atmosphere with the jazz music in the background. I haven’t eat alfajores for a long time so finally try some here, the size is pretty big and was delicious. We got a traditional combo, a delicious soup for the day and the rice with meat which I expected the sauce to be more thinner, but still delicious.

Delicious and authentic Paraguayan food! We really enjoyed the experience and the flavors. The only downsides are that the space is quite small and the interior doesn't have the most inviting atmosphere for dining in. That said, the food quality and friendly service makes up for some of that shortcomings. Highly recommend giving it a try at least once.

I’m gonna give 4 starts this time because since I don’t live in NYC I try to stop by every time I’m in town for work and this time I did the same, wanted to get a puchero since it was a chilly and cloudy day. I waited for puchero day on their soup menu and when I got there they were “out” of it. I believe it to be true of course, the sever was super nice and all but I think if you’re out of it, you make more. Especially if you’re are in the customer service industry, and especially with food. Flavor here is always good, a little overpriced but I think going there every one in a while is totally worth ir. Charming place, large portions, but have to be honest most of the items are quite bland. Meat is dry and overcooked, potatoes yucca unseasoned just masses of starch. Have been to many other similar South American grilles that offers tender juicy steak, very disappointed in the offerings.

The restaurant is lovely, cozy and beautiful decorated, the staff is gentle and super charm, also the food is good and the meat is great! I’ve been dinned couple times there and always had a great time, however, it turns a bit uncomfortable when the gentlemen with the harp starts. He’s is incredible talented and a good singer, but he gets too close to the tables when singing and playing the harp and it gets too loud, imposible to hear the person in front of you, also the place is not super big, which makes the beautiful music louder and louder till the point that no conversation can be handled. The restaurant is a great option in Sunnyside, you don’t see Paraguayan food often everywhere.
