Druthers is a very welcoming place. I got the spicy burger and it was delicious. I just wish they had more dark beers (stouts/porters) that don't have fruit in them.

Good beer, great food and pleasant staff make for a nice lunch. The mac&cheese is definitely worth trying.

Nice local craft brewery also known for its wood-fire pizzas and sizeable burgers. Sports bar area as well as a "regular" dining area. Non-meat dishes are also available. I tried their Druther Weizen beer which has a similar taste and body of an authentic German wheat beer. Nice!

All in all, a 5 star experience. We made a reservation (a week or two prior) and still waited about a half hour to be seated however, we were in town for a comedy show and the restaurant was absolutely packed. The waitress said they weren’t expecting the crowd at all. 5 stars given because with that being said, the food was still awesome and the server was so sweet! We had boneless wings and mac and cheese which were both good. The building is industrial style and very tastefully set up. Wouldn’t hesitate to stop back .

Loaded Monkey Beat and a pint of beer at Druthers is one of our favorite things to do! The staff are great the atmosphere perfect and food & beer are spot on!

This place was recommended to us by the staff over at nine pin, and I feel like they downplayed just how good this place is. There are no bad choices here: both the beer and the food are solid! Without fail we always do the beer cheese dip and the pretzel bread. My friends are pretty devoted to the loaded Mac-cheese options; flip flopping between BBQ and the buffalo chicken. I’ve really taken a tour of the menu and find new things to love every time we visit! As for beers, my group usually have trouble finding a brewery to agree on, but the beer list here is so diverse we can all find something we love!

Every thing was great at dinner last night from the food, drinks, and server. AJ was our server and they were amazing!

This place was a complete surprise I found while trying to navigate the dead-end labyrinth of the warehouse district-- and reaffirmed why it can be such an enchanting part of Albany. Outside it looked like a bustling brewery, and inside boasts a well-lit restaurant with an open kitchen, and large window panes where you can watch the legion of beers get bottles. Try the weirdest stuff on the menu, both the drinks and the foods. Their flavor combinations are adventurous but well worth it. Their menu is reasonable in size, so what they do make they're great at making, and will pair with their drinks.

Was lucky enough to enjoy the playoff games at the bar with Kayla and Kat . Unlike other places I'll have to Recover from for the poor experience, was able to not feel rushed and relax during the tense playoffs. Great beer, great people, will be back.

Beautiful restaurant. Friendly staff. Ate at the bar and my dish was amazing; bbq salmon with fingerling potatoes and jicama slaw. Others ordered burgers and pizza, all were satisfied. Appetizer was wings, also 5 star. Can't wait to go back.

Food here is always good, especially the mac and cheese. I had buffalo chicken version today and highly recommend. Our server was great. Parking here is always somewhat challenging to figure out. Not terribly busy at 3p on a Sunday.

Being vegetarian, I appreciate their diverse menu. Tonight, amazing garlic parm.brussel.sprout appetizer, their always fantastic home made veggie burger and a nice winter, spiced beer.

You can’t go wrong with Druthers Mac ‘n Cheese and the strawberry fields salad. This Location is on the main drag on Broadway and has a beautiful garden setting outside and rustic wood setting inside. We had a great waiter who was very helpful & friendly. Street parking with parking lots within walking distance.

Food and beer here are excellent. We had the bone-in wings, gargonzola salad and French onion grilled cheese. I had a flight with 6 tasters. My favorite was the "Uncurious" IPA.

I grew up in Albany and come to Albany a few times per year to visit family. Not sure how I have missed this place. Great brewery, great IPAs. Uncurious is a great 7% hazy. The double IPA was delicious as well as the 5% session IPA. The chix tacos were good but the chix shawarma was better. I love that they have a full kitchen and not just food trucks! Yes, I'm tired of food trucks. Can't wait to come back. If you are in Albany, make this a stop.

This was my 3rd visit and I’ve never been disappointed. Parking can be a pain but it’s worth it. We were seated right away although I wouldn’t have minded waiting because the waiting area is so comfy. My husband and I each had one of their beers and both were yummy! I had the carne asada fries and yum, everything I could want: fries, steak, jalapeños, cheese, some kind of a avocado drizzle. It was from the appetizer menu but obviously very large so I had it for 2 meals. My husband had the peanut butter burger and fries and I had to sneak a bite. I’m not normally a burger lover but the peanut butter really upped its game. Our waitress was lovely and the bathrooms were clean. We will absolutely return!

The beer is exceptional, the kale caesar salad could use some improvement, the boneless wings were excellent, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was noisy but chill, I had a great time

The food was great, the beer was great and the service was also pretty good. They seated us immediately and gave us recommendations. I would highly recommend going to this place. Super friendly people and great food overall. I’d definitely go again.

Came in for a weekend lunch and try some beers. Casual bar fare menu, extensive beer list, and quick service. On-premise brewing facilities are cool to check out. Limited parking but you should really take a cab!

Really great atmosphere, good food + decent beer. I was super nervous to eat out for the first time post covid but the outdoor seating they added is perfect. Tables are spaced nicely apart and I watched the staff do a great job cleaning + sanitizing after customers. The angry bee pizza + loaded fries were both fantastic.

Great food and drinks! Perfect place for a laid back lunch with great service. We sat at the bar and Dustin was fantastic!

My friend and I have been to the Saratoga Springs location before, this was our first to this location. Well since we had such good food at the other location I was first pretty nervous, however they put all this worry to rest as soon as we took the first bite. We both had variants of their Mac & Cheese, my friend is a M&C aficionado and let's just say he says it's the best he's ever had, I'll say I agree to that! Keep up the awesome job!

The food was really good. Beer cheese dip and the Pig Mac burger. There were 11 beers on tap and one in the bottle. Nothing really screamed that it was the best beer ever, but all of them were good. Service was tremendous. Very lively and fun atmosphere.

It's a good thing I live over three hours from Druthers, otherwise I'd be here way too much! Spicy grilled chicken sandwich and the loaded Mac is awesome. Grab a flight of beer tasters and enjoy a great meal.

This was the first for us and it definitely won't be the last. Food is very delicious. For our appetizer we got the pretzels and let me tell you. They have to be the best around...amazing! I got the chorizo chicken chili burger and I will definitely be back for that also. My wife got the Druthers mac and cheese and that was also perfect. Everything was perfectly cooked & seasoned. The beer is tasty and fresh. A must go in my book. My sister doesn't drink so if you have the idea that it's a brewery I can't go there...YES you can and you'll be back.

The salmon with orzo salad was delicious! Our waitress mentioned the Salmon dish is new to the menu. Definitely a keeper. The IPA was great too.

Excellent beer. Friendly staff. Food is very good. Menu changes occasionally but get in and get the corned beef and cabbage egg roll appetizer while you can.

Split two burgers with my buddy. The Spicy Burger (pictured, right) was well-prepared, but didn't really have enough kick for my taste. The Peanut Butter Burger (pictured, left), however, was excellent. Truly unique and surprising. Would order again.

The four of us stopped by this location for a quick lunch on the way back to NYC. Just want to give a shout-out to Sean, a gentleman who waited on us. He was very attentive and friendly, relaxed in demeanor, also eager to please at the same time. He made us so comfortable that it almost felt like this was our own neighbor restaurant. Excellent food! Great selections of brews! And the nicest staff ever! I highly recommend the Mac and cheese it was phenomenal. Try the Saratoga vibe or the 9 pin cider. We got the strawberry dare to go! Parking can sometimes be a challenge but worth it.

Food was awesome!!! We stopped here with a few friends after coming home from Killington and we loved it. The buffalo pizza was so crispy and delicious 10/10. The wings were sooo good too. Definitely recommend coming here when you’re hungry. Some of my friends tried the Mac and cheese and other dishes and they were also very very happy. The service was great. The waitress always came by and provided everything quickly. Awesome food with awesome people.

Food is amazing. Atmosphere is great but the music is a little loud in tge dining room. Staff could be a little bit more attentive ie check in more than just when we receive the food. The wedge is served in a way I've never seen and it was so yummy. Wings were cooked so well and great flavor.

Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch around 12:30pm with my daughter (3 y/o) and wife. Kiddo ordered chicken tenders and fries, wife ordered Salmon Burger, I had the Fish and Chips. Everything tasted great, and the service was fast and efficient. Jasmine was our server, and she was great. Didn’t rush us on our orders, offered samples of beer when we weren’t sure which one to get, and was there to check on us to make sure we were enjoying our meals. Hats off to Emily, the manager on duty, for noticing us walk in and ensuring we had a table that would work well with the kiddo. Music selection was good. Kiddo and wife bopped along to several tracks. Space was clean and welcoming. Try the Uncurious NE IPA on tap and the Strawberry Dare. Both styles hit the spot! Nice work folks. Definitely worth the visit.

The lighting/ambiance is a little too dark, it just might be my eyesight. I had a chicken sandwich with bacon and fries and thoroughly enjoyed my food. This place is like a warm hug. It’s in an industrial area with not much else going on. It’s so quiet and unexpecting outside and then when you walk in it’s a huge place with a big bar, wood everywhere, floor to ceiling glass walls to see in the brewery, and a central couch area with a fire. Many many tables, great place for a family or friends catching up. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I had the imperial raspberry and my friend had the guava passion fruit sour. We both loved the beer. Mine was very chocolatey but not over powering. I had the cranberry Gorgonzola salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and had a nice crisp on the outside. Big portion. I also really liked the walnuts which were whole and big and coated in a light sugary glaze. The salad was packed with cranberry, walnuts and cheese and it was not sopping in dressing. It was just perfect! My friend had the fried chicken sandwich and really liked it. The fries came out hot and crispy. Average prices, good beer, tasty food and a warm and inviting atmosphere. This place is great and I would definitely come back!

This place is easy to find with Google maps. Limited street parking. Brewery is on the second floor with no elevators. Huge dining area and huge bar with TVs. Menu has numerous choices of food. There are lots of beers to choose from. Limited stout is available at this time. The server was friendly and helpful.

Stopped here for dinner on a road trip. The food was very tasty and well priced. The children's mac and cheese serving was very large. We got the loaded grilled cheese with a side kale ceaser and the druther's burger. Both were very good. I really enjoyed the pickles, pickled onion and special sauce on the burger. Also had a Vienna lager which was as expected. Stopped by again. The mac and cheese is amazing so we had to get that again. We also purchased the Flatbread and the druthers chicken sandwich.

Date of Visit Fri July 7 I have reviewed Druthers before, and after being there again, and reading some terrible reviews for this restaurant, I feel it important to review again. Druthers Brewing has become a destination for us when we are in Albany. We have been to Druthers now about 5 times and never get tired of it. The Macaroni and cheese is to die for. The flavours are spot on and very creative. The portions are huge – and we often order our own – but this time we learned our lesson – and ordered one to split. We also ordered tacos to share as well. Our meal was perfect as it always has been. The service is always very good. This time, it was exceptional. Our waitress was very friendly and engaging. We had several conversations with her about various topics, travel, education, food, etc. The conversation was pleasant and not at all intrusive or bothersome. We were on a road trip to Saratoga – and discovered there was another Druthers there as well, (as well as other locations) Any time we are in Albany, or near Albany, we will always come to Druthers for great food (esp Mac & Cheese), beer, atmosphere, and great service. Parking is a bit of a challenge when they are busy, but we always manage to find some.

This was our favorite place we ate during our month-long visit to Albany. My husband and I shared: - Loaded Monkey Bread - Street Corn Dip - Angry Bee Pizza - Buffalo Mac We really enjoyed everything, but the mac and cheese is the thing we still think about. The handmade pasta was delicious and it was so cheesy. I definitely would go back and try one of the other mac and cheese dishes.

Love this place! Awesome rustic decor, can see the beer being brewed. The wings were phenomenal - though I'm not sure that Buffalo wings lovers would enjoy. The sauce is unique in that it's tomato-based and the mild is very spicy, but the tomatoes give it a slight sweetness that I loved. Very crunchy, fresh and hot! Everyone else really enjoyed their meals as well. The skillets were Mac and cheese and a BBQ variant. Super thick, gooey, cheesy and filling. Would highly recommend coming here for some awesome beer and brew food.

5/27/22 update: Loaded Mac and this pizza ring appetizer thing on point. My sister enjoyed it, too! 2/20/22 update: nothing like a fresh All In. Every time I go the waiters and waitresses are so kind and friendly. Thanks to my most recent waitress for the extra beer cheese! So delicious. The Mac and cheese is divine and I’ve had the loaded chicken and bacon one twice. I love the happy hour prices and I generally go with the IPA, but the Oktoberfest was calling my name and ‘tis the season and it was lovely, too. This is going to become my beloved pitstop on my way up to Upstate NY.

Great Nashville chicken sandwich and flatbread pizza with meatballs. The beer cheese appetizer with nugget size pretzels was also excellent. A double IPA which was excellent. Our friends enjoyed a giant salad with shrimp. We had an excellent server named Lewis who was on top of everything period a very enjoyable evening. One suggestion for ownership. All tables have a sticky touch that can't be wiped off. Maybe revarnish neefed.

Came in at about 7 pm without a reservation. Fortunately, they were able to seat us at an open table immediately. After a few mins wait,which our server apologized for, our orders were taken and promptly brought to the table. Server was attentive and filled drinks when needed

UPDATED REVIEW- see below. Druthers Albany is an absolutely exceptional place to spend your afternoon. Great beer & great company- can’t forget about the food! The loaded grilled cheese is forever the best. Kayla & Josh behind the bar are a dream team of perfectly poured beer and cocktails! Always a blast. UPDATE NEW APRIL MENU- Very disappointing- removed some of the staple items such as the pizza. This place established itself as a go to pizza place and has a special pizza oven. That was a big draw for us and lots of our friends. Great beer and pizza! Well no pizza anymore….Will definitely not be eating here as much. Sad….. :(

Good beers, a lot but not all IPA - go for the Uncurious - with a nice menu labels with vegan options. Good choice with the pilgrim eggrolks - Thanksgiving in evey bite!

The skrewball milkshake in Schenectady is way better! They add peanut butter cups and it just makes it! Here I got a vanilla shake with a shot of skrewball. It’s okay but if I’m driving over an hour to get here anyways, I’ll go to Schenectady next time for sure!

The beer selection is excellent. The menu is OK, somethings good, somethings not so much. As a pub it’s good.

I had 1 night in Albany and wanted a brewery/restaurant combo. There were several choices and I picked the right one! Druthers had a great selection of tasty beers, great service at the bar and the food was pretty good. The menu had plenty of options. It has a good atmosphere and everyone working there had a smile on their face. The only knocks were lack of parking and my meal could have been a bit better...but the hot sauce helped it out. Don't miss out on getting a 4-pack to go! Definitely recommend!

Perfect food! The salmon Greek salad was a treat. The vibe was good and this waiter, David, A-1. He was top notch and should be compensated as such. His memory is impeccable and what a great personality. He made the night. Would’ve been a 5 star, but they had no desire to keep the establishment ventilated. It was unbearable after awhile. The bathroom provided the only relief. OPEN the does or windows when it’s packed!!!

Loved the fireplace, it was nice waiting for our table while warming up next to the fire. Kept me warm while watching empty tables not being seated while we waited. They must have been under staffed, as we confirmed the need for a soda refill 3 times before it arrived. The food was awesome as usual, but I'll probably take out next time.

Came here on a Thursday evening, and was promptly served at the bar. There was plenty of seating and many of Druthers' staple beers were on tap, including the 80 shilling (thanks always for serving more than just IPAs). I was happy to find a vegetarian street corn mac on the menu! It was delicious and I was excited to try a new specialty vegetarian mac as the Schenectady druthers location seems to bo longer offer any variety for vegetarian mac these days. I also tried the beer cheese dip and the street corn dip. The portion sizes on everything I tried were generous. The pretzels were light and fluffy! Unfortunately this is my least favorite Druthers location due to the noise. The warehouse look is awesome but some noise dampening in the ceiling would be preferable. The noise always keeps me from staying longer. A++ for food, C for noise levels.

I'm sorry to say it, but the pizza here has gone waaaaaay downhill. It's perplexing. The service, atmosphere, and other food here is great though. It's been a while since I had pizza here, but I didn't think I had to look at recent reviews and photos before going to confirm that they still knew how to make pizza. Big mistake. I ordered a plain pizza with half pepperoni and it was pretty terrible. The sauce had zero flavor. There was very little cheese. The dough was flavorless, pale, and chewy (not a good chewy). It was on par with a generic frozen pizza. Ah well. Stick to the other items, like the pretzels, burgers, salads, chicken sammies, etc.

A great brewery with some tasty food options. Stopped in for lunch and it's a large and open space with plenty of seating. Service was attentive and quick, and I had a flatbread that was flavorful and a good portion for the price. Beer was very good but I only had time to try one. This would be a great place to visit with friends.

I used to frequent druthers almost weekly. It’s been three years since I’ve been and I was very surprised how empty it was. The young African American girl at the desk was not friendly at all. If was Friday night and I expected it to be packed but it was almost empty. The arm greeting I’m used to at the desk was non existent with the young lady looking miserable and not even a smile or a greeting. Even thanking her at the table And saying goodnight when we left was treated with silence. The good sadly was subpar at best. Known for their Mac and cheese but the Mac and cheese is no longer that amamizng. U make better at home. The menu hasn’t gotten so small and the food was just below average. I’m so disappointed. We loved their food and most of all the Mac n cheese. Oh well let’s hope the other locations are better. Don’t waste your time or money going here. The atmosphere is sad.

The food was the same mediocre to bad experience I’ve had at any Druthers. The veggie burger, while fairly tasty, contained something spicy hot,which was not indicated on the menu. I think it was in the sauce, which I ate around, with a fork and knife because picking it up in the roll only resulted in it crumbling and falling out of the roll.The greens tasted like they’d been doused in kerosene. Vinegar alone is not a salad dressing, and the vinegar taste was so strong it made the greens inedible. On the other hand, our waiter Donny was absolutely delightful; attentive, friendly, accurate, fast, and has a great sense of humor. It was a pleasure meeting and talking to him.

so been here quite a few times and generally good but I have to give their $19 burger "juicy lucy" a beg meh... it was more of a meatloaf around some (not much ) cheese...not that it was bad but it was no where near 19 dollars good.....

I’d just like to say the server was great , food was mediocre compared to 5+ years ago, and this whole putting a timer on the table to test the servers response time is borderline psychotic. It actually makes me judge the management team and the owners more than anything, it’s demeaning to the server who could be at a large table taking an order and are unable to get there that quickly. Cringe factor is absolutely a 10/10. Time them in private if it’s that serious. Don’t involve the guests. Micromanaging like that is tacky,

First timer. Friday afternoon visit. Friendly staff and the atmosphere was cool. Decided to order the cheddar cheeseburger as described on the menu. Wait time was short but the burger wasn't hot. Fries were pretty good but not great like I had been told. The burger wasn't that good. Not bad mind you, but not great like I expected. I tired the cheese pizza and liked that much more. I didn't come for the beer I came because I was told they do burgers right. I disagree. They do a wood fried cheese pizza right though. Give them a try you might like it.

This is very clearly just drunk people food. 21 dollars for a burger smaller than Wendy’s . You can get way bigger and more flavorful for the same price at tipsy moose . The fries were frozen and cooked not very well. Just unremarkable . Ok if you’re drunk. But I don’t drink. I don’t normally stop here . But I did tonight . Reminded me why I don’t go there to eat and haven’t in almost 3 yrs.

On the high side for food prices in the area, and it honestly doesn’t live up to those prices. Also, they don’t handle group events well. Everyone had their own tab, but food and drink were split and uncombinable. If you take too much time (1 hour after my last drink and 30 minutes after our event ended while I was talking to our group, 1 beer and a coke) they will also close your tab, when most bars do this at the end of the night. They do have an additional lot across the street and half a block away. Park there because street parking is hard to come by.

Nice place, and we enjoy taking the kids here when passing through. I had a very nice Mexican lager, and their beer is generally good. We've had some good food, too, though the cheese pizza was very disappointing. It was basically ski resort pizza. But my wife's Thanksgiving themed sandwich was reportedly excellent and I loved the French fries. Excellent friendly service. The pizza may have been a one-off.

Extremely disappointed. Was served a burger for pickup that resembled something from the McDonald’s dollar menu. Not worth $15. They did provide a refund but without an apology or explanation.

Their food is never consistent. Since they opened more restaurants the quality of food has gone down. I ordered the Cuban baguette which came with very little meat, one slice of pork, and one slice of ham. The burger we ordered was supposed to be well done but it was still pink inside. Hopefully, they slow down and take more pride in their food.

Service and food quality are going down more and more each year. Table waiting staff seem very over worked, while management staff seem to be wandering around eating pizza and going out on deck to smoke vapes. Hostess barely acknowledged us upon arrival. Literally the least pleasant hostess we have ever encountered. Doesnt even lift head to say goodbye as you leave either. Food is average, but portions are tiny and prices are high. See photo for what a 18 dollar chicken sandwich looks like. Drinks took a good 15 min to come to table. My drink had 25% spilled out. On of us got the grilled cheese and numerous chicken bones were in the meat. Really just a terrible dining experience for way way way too much $$$

We ordered take-out on a Saturday. The food was really bad. 1. the bechamel base for their Mac n Cheese was not cooked properly. It tasted like raw flower and was pastey. Inedible. 2. We were given raw fries. Cold, uncooked fries. We baked them in our oven and they were fine, but really - uncooked fries? Flavorless. 3. Wagyu blend burger cooked to leather is somehow worse than a standard Wendy's burger. It was gross. 4. Wedge salad was fine but the bacon lardons were somehow burnt and had little fat rendered off - still tough and hard to chew. 5. I think the veggie burger was okay. 6. Pretzels with beer cheese were fine. The entire meal would have felt overpriced even it was cooked properly. The fact that we were given uncooked fries, a leathery burger, and raw bechamel makes it laughable that we even paid. 2 stars because it was ready on time? I don't actually know what to give this place.

Place is horrible. Crappy food. Their beer isn't bad. I don't recommend

One of the worst experiences service wise I have ever had at a restaurant. Our waitress came to our table a max of three times throughout the whole meal, and not a single time after we received our orders until it was time to get the check. One of my friends asked for a ranch after we received our food (from someone who was not our server), which then took 30 minutes to get us, at which point we were done eating. We would have reminded someone about it, but no one came to check in on us during that time. The best part, we got charged for the ranch. :) I don't know if it was just a bad night or what, but I will never be coming back here.

Druthers, any branch (Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga) is the best place to waste your money. It’s low quality fast-food type food wrapped in a so-called brewery / pub atmosphere. It is easily some of the worst places for food in the capital region.
