Food is very delicious and the most authentic Jamaican food I ever had. So glad I stopped in here. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Buffet style, with seating available. A must try!

just went for the first time since seeing it all over fb... all I can say is I'm mad I didn't know it was there before.. everything is so flavorful and presentation wise looks great too!!!!! employees are very sweet and welcoming, gives a family vibe, I also like that you can see the kitchen through the buffet as they're preparing the food. do yourself a favor and try! definitely underrated as hell they should have a line out the door at all times!! (pictures were about 20 minutes apart) 🤣 edit bc i didn't realize you can't even see the greens, pasta and cabbage underneath everything else lol but biggest oxtail I've seen anywhere

As someone who has eaten carribean food from Florida and other states, I would say, this place ranks high on my list. I had curry chicken, collard greens rice & peas and mac and cheese. Everything was well flavored and seasoned. I will definitely be back!!

Absolutely love this restaurant! They always have delicious dishes available and very clean inside. When you arrive you MUST wear gloves in order to use the buffet utensils, and I love that. Even more the food is so flavorful, you have an experience with every bite! I would definitely recommend!

I neverrr write reviews, Ever ! But I just have to spread the word of how amazing and how great the hospitality is. First you sanitize and put on your own gloves while fixing your self your plate . Very clean establishnment. Over all the food was amazing ! The mac and cheese with the rice and peas and the Oxtail with the greens was what I had and what I was looking forward to !!! Did not disappoint. Exceeded my expectations! 10/10 and bathrooms were very clean . Thank you so much again for your hospitality Good Religion Grill. -Jazzy

I'm biased because this Caribbean girl will always adore Caribbean food, but this place had oxtail of a quality I've yet to find elsewhere. The place was decorated nicely, and my friends and I had a great time laughing at the Jamaican music videos playing on the dining room TV. (Sometimes, the music video editing was comically bad, but that just made it more fun to watch.) But anyway, my friends and I have already committed to coming back. The food was incredible.

Stumbled upon this hidden gem last July (2023), and it turns out to be one of the highlights of our 4th of July roadtrip from NYC. The food is AMAZING, but the lady who took our order made our experience even better. Her sincerity, positive energy and passion about her culture, food makes this place special. We might come back to Albany solely to visit this place again. Keep up the great work!

Today I stopped at Good Religion and ordered oxtail, mac & cheese, cabbage/vegetable mix. The meal was delicious. Oxtail were fall off the bone and had a little kick. Mac & cheese had tons of favor. Cabbage/vegetables mix so good. Food was satisfying. Service was excellent. I am definitely returning.

Walking in to Good Religion, made me feel at home. The hospitality was above and beyond, accommodating our request to move a table outside! But the staff was warm and inviting. We ordered the jerk chicken wings appetizer, and entrees of curried goat and Ox Tail. The wings were fall off the bone marinated chicken with a heavenly host of flavors that were spiced nice with not too much heat. The curried goat had a beautiful aroma and bouquet of curry flavors but was also not over powered with spicy heat. And the Ox Tail…… drool worthy, savory, tender, and stewed with love and effection. We both shared sides of coconut rice and steamed cabbage which were perfectly complements to our dishes. Dessert was a maple cornbread that made me believe my aunt Barbra was back there cheffing.. Will definitely return!! And will spread the gospel of Good Religion far and wide.

Good Religion Grill is a whole VIBE! When you enter the restaurant, you are welcomed by a friendly staff and great music. The food was to DIE for. I got curry chicken, cornbread (the best I have ever had), french fries with their special sauce (a must), and they surprised us with some rum & raisin ice cream for dessert! This place is a MUST if you are in the Albany or Troy area.

Not worth the money...you get to serve yourself buffet style. The food was not hot. The food was too spicy my mouth is still burning. They have a good selection with a good variety of dishes. The price is not worth what they had to offer. I will not be returning. If the food was steaming hot it would have made a big difference. Tha atmosphere was so so, and the TV was playing way too loud. Mediocre tasting food that was not hot.....try this place at your own risk. The food dishes were not labeled so i had to guess what I was selecting or ask.

Same quality better prices better Customer Service better location better environment. Did I mention better prices? If this interest you go to Elaine elite kitchen at Crossgates Mall in front of Primark clothing store. This guy for some reason thinks it's OK to sneak in extra surcharges and taxes and not to mention extra extra charges for oxtail. $50 for a full plate. I know the economy has went up and I would've understood if he didn't try to hide the price from me. That was the only thing that hit a nerve. I actually had to ask for my receipt because he turned the monitor that shows you the price around. Why why why? Only went there once and wouldn't return unless all stores in America close down and he's the only one standing. Thought he was a yard man, but turns out bottymon
