My favorite when in Syracuse. I travel around NY and have had Chinese takeout from all over. East work holds what I think could be world record delivery time. It only took 11mins from time I placed my order till the delivery guy arrived. My order was large and included a poo poo platter. Hands down best even the delivery guy is great!

When I need Chinese takeaway delivered and I want to order online, this is where I get it. If you're coming from out of town and staying around the corner at the hotels by the Thruway and on/off NY 298 & 635/Thompson Road, they'll go there as well. Who needs Panda Express when you can have all this instead? Eat local and Chinese at the same time with East Wok!

Only place we will go to for Chinese! Their crab rangoon is the best. All of their other food is also usually pretty good. Occasionally you get small pieces mixed in with the meatier ones, though. Always FAST, too. Average prices.

A family operated Chinese restaurant. Offer takeout food, and provide delivery. There are 3 tables for dinning-in customers, but only disposable boxes and plates are available. Menus are typical, prices are reasonable. The delivery person were very busy to nearby hotels. We had egg roles, lo-mein, General Tso, Mu Shu and steamed veggies. All was good but General Tso should have more chicken. The price was very reasonable and food was tasty.

It was a last-minute decision I drove by and seen it and decided to get a bite to eat after a long day. The food was very good and the folks running it were very helpful.

I rarely eat out in Syracuse, the restaurant food is rarely good. Dare I add? Most of my options are Asian food, due to my diet. When I want a quick lunch, I like a spring roll with water. In most of the carry outs I visited, the spring rolls are pretty much the same, but East Wok's spring rolls are different, they taste better, and make me feel fuller. I tried this place when I arrived in Syracuse, it is near my hotel. Because of where I live, I often cannot have lunch here, but it is always worth a trip. Nice, friendly service, and great spring rolls.

Ordered from there the first time last week and the food was great. Had it delivered and it was prompt and food still hot. I'll be ordering from them a couple of times a month. Only complaint--most of the dinners come white rice. I'd prefer fried rice.

I ordered pick up. I arrived a little later, my order was ready. I had the General Tso's combination platter. I got home and it was still hot. I bit into the chicken, it was crispy, yet coated in sauce; just the way I like it. The rice and Spring Roll included were also great. I'd definitely go again.

Fantastic food ! Worth trying ! As a pregnant lady who’s extremely picky this has been the best Chinese food in cuse , rice was fresh as hell ! Chicken was perfect ! General saos chicken was perfect medium heat I couldn’t be happier with the food the wonton soup and the crab raggons! Were just as u would expect them to be n them some thank you for making this lady happy over here! I will be a continuous customer from here on out !

I have to say the truth i’m very picky with Chinese food And it’s very hard to find good Chinese We ordered General House chicken, boneless spare ribs, Wongs crab Rangoon Not 1 ounce of grease on anything The rice was absolutely flavorful and fresh. Everything was fresh and very good. I definitely will order here again if I am in the area.

We always do takeout here for work and we're never disappointed in the food. The Eggrolls are amazing, and I don't know what they do differently with their sweet and sour chicken but I love it. I can't speak to the service of atmosphere since we're in and out for pickups, but I can say the taste is amazing and I enjoy what I get each time. We never go anywhere else because we found something we love and plan to keep eating.

Me and my bf were very skeptical ordering dinner at East Wok tonight due to the previous reviews about the food and the service. The parking lot was packed. When we entered, we were greeted by a male with a friendly smile and personality. When we got home with our food, the food looked so good and smelled amazing! The food was very fresh and delicious! We wanted seconds! We will definitely be back for more!!

They have the absolute best shrimp and pork egg rolls my family has ever had in a long time! The food is reasonably priced! It’s too bad they no longer deliver. Their entrees are great! Very good fried rice here. Wasn't too crazy about the lo mein. Quick service and order is always right.

Stayed over at Days Inn. Ordered sweet and sour chicken for delivery, they told me 30 - 45 minutes, it was delivered just under 30 minutes and was still hot.

The food was good service was less friensly friendly in comparison to other similar establiahments. The price was about 7 dollars less than other establishments where i have ordered the same thing.

Food wasn't bad and they give you a decent amount. Egg rolls are fairly bland and not worth ordering.

Got food quickly but was disappointed order general tso's chicken extra spicy but wasn't spicy at all also said comes with pork egg roll but was a spring rolls no meat at all in it

Ok food for a generic "Chinese". Wings too salty for me but good. Dumplings suck.... Don't get the yellow fried rice but it's fine. Just feel it's average sitting on awesome......would have given it 4 but food isn't consistent.

The service was friendly and fast, maybe too fast suggesting everything was pre-made. The food wasn't bad except for being somewhat bland and untraditional. I would eat there again to sample other dishes as this was my first go at the place.

Only been here one time very fast service. Variety of Chinese food from the manu and well priced. There dishes are overly sauced at times or at least the lunch special I had was. There is spicy and hot options on specific dishes just have to request it.

After spending almost $20 I got six shrimps. Asked for no peas or carrots in my food got plain rice not even bean sprout. And portion seemed small for price. In my opinion.

Ordered chow mein and got some yellow rice and no noodles. Looks like they just throw whatever they have in the package no matter what you order.

Person taking my order was rude and kept interrupting me. Food was not very hot, and about one fourth of my chicken had no sauce on it.

Everytime I order from East Wok (Thompson Rd East side Syracuse) their food is good but the time for delivery is rediculas. I waited over an hour for my food one time and then they got to my house my food was not even hot. Heres the kicker.....I just tried to order from them, and a child answered the phone. When do we have children answering business phones taking orders? This is not the first time this child has answered the phone. I dont carry a lot of cash on me. Everytime the child answers the phone the card machine seems to be "down". Hmmm thats not very good customer service. I really doubt I will be ordering from this location again.

I asked for sesame seed chicken with white meat, refused to make it but said I could have the sweat and sour chicken since it’s white. I also ordered a shrimp egg roll too.... the chicken was so damn soggy that as soon as you pulled it apart they stuck like two wet sponges... so disgustingly soggy and the shrimp egg roll was so greasy you couldn’t eat it( I love a little grease on one end of my egg roll just like everyone else) but holy cannoli worst Chinese I ever had

I did an order for delivery that was very disappointing. First, no utensils came with the order. Fortunately the hotel where I was staying had some utensils that I was able to use. I had ordered egg rolls and no duck or sweet and sour sauce provided. Eating egg rolls “Dry” was not appetizing. I also ordered Moo Shu pork which was tasty but the pancakes were heavy and thicker then I’m used to. On the good side they provided plenty of pancakes. And finally it took 1 1/2 hour to prepare and deliver. Now it was ugly weather that night but I’m surprised if they could be that busy on a Tuesday night.

This used to be my favorite place to get Chinese food - now, everything tastes the same and it seems like all the meats and vegetables are precooked and then they just dump some sauce on it. The sauce didn't even match the description on the menu. Since when is garlic sauce sweet? I'm disappointed. The crab rangoon was not that good this time. The only saving grace was the fried chicken wings which were delicious.

Food is going downhill. Shorting customers that have come here for years, ex. Peppersteak with onions and green peppers there is maybe 5 or 6 small pieces of steak and tons of onions with a few pieces of green pepper, and they are now loading the dish with more rice to skimp on the main entrée aka the meat, yet the price isn't reduced. Competitors are giving more meat portions for cheaper prices. When they start scamming customers with shady tactics and shorting them on what they pay for, its time to go! This has been a regular stop for me over the last 20 years but I think its time to give my business elsewhere!

Decent food the problem lies with customer service especially the man at the register. Tried giving benefit of the doubt and thought he was having a bad day and returned a couple of more times. However, my final judgement is this person is just rude and I will not be ordering food from East Wok again. Just to clarify I’ve eaten at Hk Takeout, Chengtu, Mr. Stir fry, Red Chili and have never had a problem with customer service. I hope whatever personal problem this person is going through he can solve it instead of taking it out on customers.

My beef on a stick is burnt. Unchewable.. I didn't open my bag until I got home which is only a few blocks down the street. The chicken is also hard and dry the rice only had about five mini baby shrimps in it. I just tried them because I wanted to try some new restaurants close to my house. The customer service is horrible extremely rude. I tried to show him on my phone how I was having an issue with his online service he was just so rude I told him I won't order there anymore. I got beef on a stick that was burnt fried chicken with shrimp fried rice. The rice was actually the best part but they needed to add more shrimp. My family loves to go eat out so I post a lot of reviews I will not be going back here again bad service bad food

Did not deliver full, pre-paid cc order and refused to make it right. Insisted we didn't pre-pay despite us showing them the emailed receipt. Left 2 items out and wouldn't deliver them. Said they didn't care that they lost a customer.

Just ordered lunch, General Tso chicken was as hard as a rock (probably left overs from yesterday) Ended up throwing everything out. This is not the first time that it has happened, but it was the last time I will ever go to this place again.

Went against my better judgement and ate here again. Food has never been good. I was really craving Chinese so I went anyways. My noodles tasted burnt, I watched them take my chicken from a bucket and just reheat it. Wasn’t worth the $10+. Took two bites and gave to my coworker.

I ordered the Orange Beef. There was no indication the meat used was filet, marinated, nor tender, as the menu described. I cut many pieces in half. They were mostly all fat and low grade cuts! If you batter and fry anything, then coat it in corn syrup, it'll taste good. Extremely poor quality cuts of meat.

Ugh, where do I begin. Let's see...phone order was greeted by a dismissive employee, the egg drop soup with wontons tasted God awful (was the filling spoiled?), steamed dumplings were extremely thick on the dough and was under cooked, and the teriyaki chicken was bearable, but unimpressive. To top it off, I gave the delivery guy a $20 for a $15.50 meal and he immediately started to walk away and failed to ask if I needed change. It's the holidays so I tend to tip a bit higher, but this guy expected a 25% tip without question. Common man!

I wouldn't even give it a one star. Sesame chicken was pink in the middle. My friends too completely. Called to get a new order. Said take order. Got delivered. But called explained issue. Won't remake or deliver food here. Said I was a liar. Chicken is not suppose to be all the way pink. 7 pieces I cut into. Now want me to drive there. Show them. Wait for a new order to be made or refund. I have two kids 3 years 6 months. Why got delivered. I cannot go there. Will be filling a claim. Called non emergency sheriffs office. I cannot believe the way they talk to me.

Very rude .. they do not let you change or customize dishes. My gf did not want certain veggies in her dish (we have ordered like this many times) the guy on the phone was beyond rude saying you get how it comes it’s too hard to change order. Tried to order online had an error with tje payment processing. Used the same card in store, no issue. Charged me more in the store than ordering online. Crab ragons was a fried shell with a pea size filling amount of filling. Do not waste your money.

This chinese place is not that good. we got an order of boneless spare ribs & pork fried dumplings and sweet and sour chicken. i was highly disappointed. The food was so bland, the rice had nothing in it except 2 small peas and a few onions. The rice tasted so stale and old. While the ribs tasted sour & dirty. The dumplings were eh but the sweet and sour chicken was kind of okay. Not to mention the food was ice cold by the time i picked up my order (15 minutes after it was placed) Also the staff was not very friendly & nobody had masks on. The cashier was very rude to me as if I was an inconvenience to her for coming to pick up my order. That wasn’t pleasant at all. The egg rolls were also very old & filled with grease. I don’t recommend this Chinese place to anyone that has taste buds.

My family has been eating here for decades, but it really has gone downhill. Yesterday we ordered dinner, the Crab Rangoon was cold and stale, no filling in them, just nasty. The General Tso's was not good, it used to be amazing. They used to give an egg roll with that platter, not this time. Chicken fingers were overcooked and dry. Everything was wrong with the order, will not be going here anymore sadly.

Worst place for take out Chinese in syracuse. First of no hello welcome to east wok no nothing. I got what do you want( in hindsight I should have turned and left then). Ordered 2 combination platters and an order of crab Ragoon . Everything is burnt and mushy rice. For pete sakes tour Chinese how do you have mushy rice. Asked for duck sauce and I was told over there. Mind you this was my first time going to this place and definitely the last. Rude and definitely not customer oriented. So to all of my Chinese eating people of syracuse SKIP THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!

The worse Chinese food EVER & terrible customer service. I ordered orange beef and what I was given looked nothing like the picture listed. I called to explain what I was given looked nothing like the pic; it was orange breaded beef, all bread, and no beef, to be exact. The picture wasn’t breaded beef; I called back to the restaurant to explain this was incorrect, but the lady who takes the orders over the phone was rude, with no apology or understanding. I will not recommend them: terrible customer service and food presentation. First and last time at East Wok.

Went to East Wok lunch time, ordered lunch menu shrimps+broccoli and asked for takeout chicken noodle soup , triple delights dish. I was happy with last time order when I was in Syracuse area... but not this time. Firstly, the shrimps+ broccoli dish was quite salty, not what i expected for well review restaurant. Secondly, after 1/2 hr having lunch in the restaurant, I expected them to bring my takeout order to my table, but they did not. I waited at counter for 1 minute, but no one around for picking up my order. So went to coffee shop next door, and forgot all about my order. My trip was heading down Rochester area, after one hour over there I called restaurant and asked to credit back my money. I explained my situation and said I could not return to Syracuse because I am travelling West back to Canada. I asked if he could credit back at least 1/2 of money (of $15). He refused and hung up the phone. Sorry, this is my last time at East Wok, and just let people know how they treat customers.

I called 25 minutes after I ordered online through the beyond app and they said online orders take 30 to 45 minutes and it took an hour. The Delivery guy was nice and called right before he arrived which is nice. I was disappointed in the sesame chicken as it was pink and undercooked.

The place is empty, Lady at the counter was rude, I asked a few questions about some of the items in the menu and it seemed to upset her. I just walked out the door.

Been ordering from them for years but today was the worst experience I've ever had on the phone with anyone from a restaurant. The man that answers the phone during the day should seek therapy and watch how he talks to people. He should be ashamed of himself. The girl who answers in the evening is polite and nice. This is my ever 1st review Let’s start with NO AC and dingy dining room filled with flies I was there today with my wife and my son Mind you I was coming all the way from Cicero The man on the front counter I think he is the owner has no customer experience as to what so ever he is rude beyond imaginable Does not greet you does not smile just has a mug on his face Been here many times I promise you I will never step foot in there again The food today was dry and horrible !!!! He needs to retire or move on cause that’s no way to treat your customers This is America not china

A year ago, I was advised to not eat here and that every other Chinese restaurant in Syracuse is better. I should have listened. This place has a premium price point for a typical Chinese place at $13 for a combo. I asked for a paid substitution on both combos, i ordered to change the rice to lo mein, that was completely ignored but it was so much worse than that. I almost got sick after the first bite and had to throw my entire lunch out and currently can't get the taste of oven cleaner out or old burnt oil of my mouth. This first and last experience at this place. There is no point to even call and ask to fix this, if this is the way the first impression goes it will not be any better in the future. Eat literally anywhere else. Excuse me while I throw up.

I ordered a lunch combo platter, and upon returning to the office and opening it, I was shocked to find that it consisted of 90% old, inedible, hard onions and peppers, along with just two bamboo shoots, coagulated brown gel, four shrimp, and perhaps four bites of rice for the shrimp curry. The curry was nearly impossible to see or taste. When I attempted to address my concerns politely over the phone, the owner responded with circular arguments and excuses. I even brought back the inedible portion, which was about 90 percent of the dish, but he continued to deflect responsibility and couldn't even comp me an egg roll. This level of service is unacceptable. The meal was terrible, and I am still hungry. You need to take complaints seriously and show some empathy. I frequently dine out and consistently tip well, but this experience warrants a negative review that could have easily been avoided.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I called and placed an order called back immediately to change the order. The gentleman told me during a lunch special that he did not have the capability to give me the change in the order that I was requesting which simply was from pork fried rice to regular fried rice which we all know they have readily available because that's why it's on the lunch special menu. When I arrived and asked him why there was an issue about him changing my order, he called the police and asked me for money for an order that I specifically expressed to him was not correct. They have zero customer service skills. They care nothing of the people that patronize their business. It is strictly about them taking your money and giving you whatever MSG and quickly throw them together meals to get you out of there and get the money that you work hard for. Not a business that I can support

I would give this store no stars! Ordered 4 combination platters tonight and each one had raw chicken. The what I'm assuming is the owner fought with me that the chicken wasn't raw. I've been a cook for 20+ years. The chicken was raw and refused to correct or do anything but say we refuse your order from now on..I would stay clear from here!!! Might end up I'll without paying attention!

Horrible food. I would not call this Chinese Food. It is definitely food but not food that a person should eat. I ordered a chicken and broccoli. Portions are super tiny. Prices are outrageous. The chicken was not cooked properly. It was more like eating ears than chicken. Very rubbery and not safe to eat. The menu is limited and depressing. If you don't know what it means to eat great Chinese Food then this place is for you. Stay away from this smelly dump.

I just moved to the area and figured I'd give this place a try. Will definitely be my last time. Called to place my order and the person answering the phone was very rude and short. Pretty much said "what do you want?" and said it would be ready in 5 mins. I'm not sure how fresh food can be cooked that quickly. Needless to say it was NOT fresh. Chicken was hard as a rock (probably cooked hours prior and smothered in sesame sauce) and the rice had a weird burnt taste to it. Not impressed at all.

Today's order was good and got here fast however they didn't pack 2 bottles of soda which I paid for. Total order was $62. The lady was rude yelling at me like it's my fault and did not have handle situation said her owner would call me and no one called no One contacted me so I ended up figuring it out and going to doordash but the store was very rude They delivered in a reasonable time.
