We got pork belly and okonomiyaki. The okonomiyaki was nice and flavorful. It's difficult to find this dish in Syracuse so I'm happy to find it here. The pork belly was made by staff and it was good too and very fatty and warm. The staff was nice too.

Came here with friends for the first time yesterday and it was quiet and peaceful. The food was really good. We got the mix combo for the bbq. Price is good for the amount, we all were full by the end of the meal. It was three of us so we got the small. The lady was really nice, she helped us through out the meal. Grad class ended early so I asked a classmate for recommendation for sushi and the referred me here and I’m very satisfied!! Shrimp Tempura roll is my go to so I asked for two!! Highly recommend ! Delicious and so friendly and great atmosphere!! Will return for sure!!

A group of 8 of us sent in on a Sunday evening to celebrate a birthday. We were surprised there really was no one else inside the restaurant. There were others up in the karaoke portion, though. A couple other tables came through while we were there but if you're looking for a slower night Sunday might be the way to go. We had everything: wine, appetizers, sushi, entrees, & iced cream. All of the food was very tasty and the presentation was great. I especially recommend the beef bibimbab. If you're looking for some tasty authentic food you should check this location out!

It was amazing! I went for a late birthday dinner, I'm a huge fan of Ocean Sushi and go almost every year for my birthday and special occasions so I was really excited to see the new location. They still had my favorite sushi roll, the Kamikaze roll, and it was amazing here too. I also got the tonkotsu ramen, which was delicious. The portions were large, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful and accommodating, and the restaurant is beautiful. I will definitely recommend it a lot, and I will absolutely be back. Unfortunately I did not catch the names of the dishes my family ordered, but they are included in the photos and I was told they were also incredibly good!

After our meal, we went downstairs for karaoke in a private room, and had a blast. There is a big selection of English, Korean and Japanese songs to choose from and if you can't find something, you can also pull up Youtube. We ordered soju and they have many different flavors. The only downside was not being able to enjoy our food with our drinks in the karaoke room but still giving everything 5 stars because it was a great experience that I will definitely be coming back to as often as I can.

I’ve been waiting for months for this opening of the second installment of Ocean Sushi 2 based off the original Liverpool location and it did not disappoint. Although I would like to sit in one night I think this will really do well especially with area and street it is on! (9.5/10)

They recently remove the Chinese Menu, now only serve sushi and Korean food, which are also very good. Waiters are little shy but everything else is good!

Excellent sushi/korean restaurant. The Korean menu is unique and authentic. Very good presentation and wonderful service. This is a great addition to the Syracuse dining options. Word needs to get out as the best new restaurant to arrive in some time.

Went for dinner, which was delicious. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Also booked karaoke for 1 hour. It was awesome! The rooms were large, with comfortable seating. There were multiple options for songs, including YouTube and a physical book that corresponded to their Karaoke system. Drinks and food could be purchased in the karaoke space, and there were call buttons in each room to notify staff that you needed something. We were given a tutorial on how to use the equipment. Room came equipped with lights, a TV screen, microphones, and tambourines. I've been to similar karaoke rooms in D.C. and Tokyo, and this setup was just as good! Such a fun night out with friends!

The place seems like it would be kind of small, but it comfortably sit our party of 11, including 2 kids and a baby. We had galbi, soju, seafood pancake, kimchi pancake, and more. There was a bit of a wait, but all the food was great !! And the staff was amazing to us the whole time.

Fast and friendly service. We came after a convention downtown and enjoyed an early dinner. We ordered the spicy crab salad, a honeymoon roll and each got an entree. From a buffet to a Korean Sushi restaurant. Brightly lighted with blue LEDs line the corners of the walls. There is a small bar to sit at with a selection of Asian spirits and beers. Very high end Korean restaurant feel. Sashimi is so fresh and the menu has a vast selection of dishes to choose from. A lot of space for big parties. Just a very relaxing foodie experience.

Ocean Sushi 2 is my new favorite Korean joint in Syracuse. We got the corn cheese (the cheese pull could break records), jjajangmyeon and jeyok bibimbap - the jjajangmyeon was so comforting and the bibimbap came out sizzlin. Great service, great menu - I can't wait to go back and try more.

We went there for dinner tonight at Ocean City the chinese food was very good, more so authentic I should say. As the name says Ocean Sushi, sushi was my favorite part. And the tour of karaoke rooms that just gives us so many ideas on where to go for birthdays and any fun activities that you want to do with small friends group are large group is there. To those who say “ we have no where to go nothing to do in Syracuse “ say no more.. Ocean City is there.!! The Host and the owner are very friendly too. My favorite part was the Host giving us the history of the dish. I just love it!

Excellent food and service. Hands down one of the most delicious hot bowl bibimbaps I’ve had. They use high quality legit ingredients and I think is the best Korean in the area that I’ve tried. Service has always been phenomenal as well.

We always have an excellent meal at Ocean Sushi 2. The rolls are wrapped tightly, the service is fantastic, and the quality cannot be matched anywhere else in Syracuse. We would highly recommend Ocean Sushi 2 for your Sushi meals.

Came to Ocean Sushi 2 for the first time and it was absolutely delicious! The salmon pizza roll, try it out ( you shall not regret it). The service team is very pleasant and attentive. We will definitely be back for more ! Our server recommended the Japanese pancake so of course that will be our next adventure.

My wife and I went in because we have been wanting to try this place and we found a really good deal in Clipper. We decided to go all out and order way more food than we can eat because we wanted to try a bit of everything. Only about half way through our courses and I decided to just go ahead and leave a 5 Star review. Everything had been amazing so far, the spicy crab salad was perfect, and the tuna tataki appetizer was to die for. Here’s a pic of my upcoming course!

I’ve only been here twice, but every visit was fabulous. The sushi is an incredible quality and they have additions dishes separate from sushi. They have Korean and Japanese entrees, which are cooked to perfection! My friend and I got their lunch special, and spent less than $100 between us. We got three entrees—two were on the lunch special menu—and two sushis, as well as a bubble tea and sodas. Quite a big meal made with quality ingredients and a nice deal. I would have paid whatever, but it’s a nice addition they have so customers dine and save money at the same time. The regular menu is more expensive, but with the quality of the food and beautiful ambiance, it is worth it. The interior is decorated beautifully with cultural decorations and greenery that allows a serene, calming environment. This location doesn’t get very busy and I’m writing this review because its one of my favorite spots and it deserves to be recognized. The service is perfect and precise, you feel like you’re getting taken care of.

I love the food here! They have a wide range of authentic Korean dishes, with some of Japanese and Chinese as well. Prices are reasonable, and the owners and servers are very professional. I’ve been here three times, and we’ve always had a great experience. The restaurant is also quite spacious, making it a great place for dinner with a big group.

Got the lunch boxes, chicken katsu and salmon teriyaki! So good! The box came with such a variety, it was fun to try each thing.

I have been to this restaurant 4 times since it opened on Erie Blvd, and dozens of times in Liverpool. Both places are amazing- the food and servers are great. The sushi is fresh and has a light and wonderful flavor. It is my family and friend "go-to" spot! I highly recommend this restaurant to all.

I really enjoyed all aspects of this location. Food was excellent, fish tasted great, and presentation was clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They voiced useful opinions regarding menu items and recommendations, checking in occasionally, but respecting your privacy. I did not get to try out their karaoke, but it really did look like fun.

The private karaoke rooms are spacious and equipped with a large couch, large screen, surround-sound system, fun and colorful disco lights, and the capability to search for any karaoke song that you’d like on YouTube. They provide you with microphones, microphone covers and even a tambourine! There is also a bar area where you can order alcohol (including flavored soju!). The staff members are very friendly. You can call to make a reservation in advance. The price rates are very reasonable compared to typical private karaoke rooms I’ve been to. For 2 people for 1.5 hours of karaoke it was $65. I will definitely be returning to Ocean Sushi for karaoke again very soon! I’m looking forward to trying the food next time, too! I highly recommend it for a fun night! 🎶🎤

This is our new go to sushi spot, the staff are always so friendly and the food has been great everytime. The spicy salmon sushi roll was unexpectedly a standout and different than any other spicy salmon roll I’ve tried before. The Cherry Blossom roll is another favorite but I have to say all of their sushi is great. The beef bibimbap and miso soup are also very tasty. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Everyone at the table was pleased with their meal. I only had a firecracker roll due to a heavier lunch earlier in the day and I would recommend it to anyone. We rented a room for karaoke and our initial hour became three. Karaoke is not my thing, but I enjoyed it for what it was, and my friends loved the experience! The service was top-notch, however, beware of gratuity charged to your bill when renting a karaoke room. This was not made clear to us beforehand, and we accidentally left an additional tip. I cannot rate this visit a five-star experience for this reason but would return keeping this in mind.

Before I begin this review, I have 2 remarks. 1: "Gigma" as seen in KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot review #2 will now be referred to as "dig" from here on out. This change was approved by the committee as followed all standard photocalls in accordance to our bylaws. 2: This will be my last review for now. It seems that restaurant reviews have taken a toll for the worse on my relationships, mental health, academics, hobbies, and my lover. I have became burnt out from the constant flow of restaurant reviews I have been a prisoner of for the past 2 months. However, this is not a goodbye, but a see you later. I am glad to announce that I my reviews will be reinstalled come Fall 2025 now better than ever. Now lets get on to the review. For most academic universities, in their application process, there is often a essay prospective students must write. That essay answers the question of "why." Why do you (the prospective student) want to come to our university. Some answer it as their interested in a specific program offered by the university, others talk about the opportunity they can get by attending that college. All great and very acceptable answers, and Syracuse University has those answers and many more. However, if I were to rewrite my essay as a prospective student again, my answer would be the direct access to Ocean Sushi 2, the second best sushi restaurant in all of Salt City (#1 sushi restaurant in Syracuse coming in Fall 2025). Ocean Sushi 2 was found by Gweg and Gary in 2024. Those same 2 boys famished, were not craving a crisp tortilla covering melted cheese and fresh chicken, but instead they were craving something more light, crisp, filling -sushi!. We did not find Ocean Sushi 2 on google or on social media. Our dear friend Beccy suggested it to us and we could not thank her any more than we already have for her advice. My most recent visit to this establishment took place with Dig and Gweg. For Gary, this was 1/2 dinners for him that night, but he spared no expense. We were sat quickly and offered water from used 소주 (soju) bottles. Nonetheless, the water was cold and refreshing. We ordered our usual 3 rolls per person and some side dishes and appetizers. Dig caught his eye on the jalapeno poppers which were a hit, for him. I could have counted on one hand how many tables were filled when we went, but that is why our food cam swiftly with no errors. Waiting for our food for that brief amount of time we listened to the non-copywrite music played on youtube for everyone to see. The atmosphere also had fun LED lights for the young inns to enjoy. In addition there were Korean words and their translations on each wall and it was fun for Dig and Gweg to try and pronounce them. The food came and everything was a hit as usual. We all finished our plates and had to increase our belt sizes one notch by the end of the night. We were offered free ice cream, but politely declined. I did find out that free ice cream is only offered on weekdays and not weekends, however I would be surprised if it would take a toll on their finances to offer free ice cream on weekends too. Safe to say that this was one of many excellent dining experiences even though it comes in second place for sushi. This is Gary signing out for now. 10-42

Tried their offerings a few weeks ago. Fried calamari was a bit dry, but the sushi and my BiBimBap were quite tasty. I just don't see how they will be able to compete with Secret Garden and their 1/2 price sushi M & W. I'm not crazy about the wide open cafeteria ambience, either. Very attentive service.

We went for lunch, but there weren't a lot of people here until later. Around 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. suddenly there are at least 10 people in the place. The food is always good, and the atmosphere was a tiny bit cold but we had our jackets on anyways.

Sushi and noodles were good. Karaoke was a fun setup. They have beer, wine, sake, soju, bubble tea and soda.

Food was prompt and delicious. We tried beef bimbimbop, tonkotsu ramen and some sushi rolls. Everything was hot and yummy. Sushi was very fresh and rolls were well made. Delicious small Korean plates with excellent kimchi. Service was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely come again!

I went today for their heavily advertised half-priced sushi on Mondays…. When I received my check, the bill was full priced and they said they did not honor the discount on “holidays” (Presidents’ Day). Food is excellent, sushi is very fresh and big portions, and service is good, but this policy baffled me. If you want to celebrate the holiday, then maybe the best option is to close for the day. Many restaurants celebrate holidays with more discounts when open! I love the sushi and the restaurant, but this was disappointing to not honor their regular discount. If anything, I should have been made aware before ordering since it was out of the normal.

I had found a piece of metal in my food. Just be careful when eating something. Nothing that the restaurant did wrong, just hopefully they check there equipment before use

So there was high expectations going here but I think it fell a little short. They have a gigantic menu with Japanese, Sushi, Korean and Chinese options. I think the size of the menu actually makes it difficult for them to be good at any one thing. Most of the items tasted like they were made with an instant kit. For example, the soondubu jigae (spicy tofu stew), tasted like it was made from a kit. The jopchae (stir fried clear noodles) was not the best. The taste is smothered by all the onions, by which were not cooked enough. If you serve Korean food, you have to serve side dishes! And to top it off, the prices were ridiculously high for what we got. So with all that said, I hope it continues to improve and maybe, I’ll check back in again in the future.

The only reason I come here is for the karaoke, which isn’t exactly cheap. Bottled water is $5, and the sushi itself is just okay — pretty average.

I went in to talk with them about our computer group of 35. They agreed to do separate checks/ or couples checks, not something they usually do. The night of the person I made the reservation with was not there. And the waitress three times said no we can't do separate checks, Even after I explained I had been there, talked to management, prior to this evening. That was eventually cleared up. Poor communication within management..... Food was good, service ok, it's a big group, and we are happy to chat while being served.... With 35 people no points off on the service...BUT THEN....At the end of dinner, checks were not brought to the table each person/couple was expected to go up to pay at the register.... At that time a 20% gratuity (OR $20) was added to each check... ( Chris the manager, said the $20 was a mistake, but l know a few people at least were burdened with it.) When this evening was discussed, prior to the reservation, 20% being added to each check was not mentioned. It's not like the group doesn't tip well... We go to different restaurants around the area, we treat the servers well... (They've told us so..). They want the business... Having a surprise gratuity added to each check, when the bill wasnt even presented at the table, without discussing at the initial meeting wasn't cool... Not happy with the lack of communication... I'm not even going to get into the whole karaoke thing. It was presented as being there and offered as part of the evening. It was not described as a rental space but rather a space to enjoy and have drinks after dinner. It was not presented as a space we could rent to use... We ended up not doing the karaoke. But that was after the fact... The manager Chris explained it was a business... They needed to make money off ... why wouldn't I think that. I wouldn't think that because it was never mentioned and I just assumed they made money off the drinks and table service why wouldn't I when the space is not presented as a rental space but rather a place we could go after dinner and have drinks... Good food, poor communication on their part. If gratuity is going to be automatically added to a group, it should have been discussed at the first meeting and not after the fact. By their not disclosing to me when we specifically discuss the checks, I didn't have the knowledge to disclose the group. It just didn't sit well with me.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box for lunch. I never received my shrimp tempora, the chicken teriyaki was a soup of vegetables with five pieces of meat and my sushi rice tasted as if it was from a hospital.The staff however was super friendly, my guess is that there was a bad or angry cook working today.

DIRTY DINING & SUBPAR SUSHI After our lackluster meal, I found no soap in the bathrooms and only hand sanitizer available. Gross! Hand sanitizer does not kill many pathogens carried on hands and food. I told the staff and they didn’t seem to care. Hopefully the health department shuts them down. Food was meh. Trashy spot.

The menu is extensive. I tried sushi at lunch. I gave one more try with Korean noodles and broth. Weather you call it Japanese or Korean cuisine, this place is below the standard. Sushi is Chinese-buffet grade. You can tell tuna is colored. Yellow-tail is just gummy. Korean broth soup is just a hot & spicy broth with MSG. Jajiang noodle is soaky, the seasoning tasted more soy sauce than black bean paste. Also with excessive MSG that it gives you a long aftertaste. I appreciate authentic cuisine. But I am not that picky. The reason I gave this place a second try is because I wanted this new place to be one that I can revisit time to time. Despite all the recent trendiness and popularity nationwide, Syracuse remains the worst city to enjoy Korean and Japanese food.

My wife and I went to lots Korean restaurant, but this is the first one we went that did not provide any Korean side dishes after we ordered Korean food. Not to menton ...the portion is really small for the amount of money you paid for. Pretty disappointed.

went there for my friends birthday. Had sushi which was just ok. Wegmans sushi is better by far… asked to do karaoke was led to a karaoke room without being told it was 35$ an hour. She made sure to bring us down the elevator so we didn’t see the sign about karaoke infront if the stairs. They purposely led us there and made it feel complimentary which was a lie. Went thrrr again a second night to give it a try. Was rushed out by the manager every 30 minutes. I would not recommend this place it is completely a scam. You’re better off going to singers.

Ordered the Charashi for take out and when the fish arrived it was left in slabs with the bloodline still attached on several pieces, instead of being cut into proper sashimi pieces, and the yellowtail that came with my order had a foul taste to it. Really disappointed as I frequent the first location and have always had good experiences there but the quality displayed in this order was unacceptable
